A Nurse With a Heart for Pets 🐾
I’m a nurse with a lifelong love for animals and hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs. I previously volunteered at an animal shelter, where I gained experience caring for pets with different personalities, temperaments, and needs. Outside of nursing, Rover gives me the opportunity to spend time doing something else I love—caring for animals. It’s also a meaningful side gig for my family, as I’m currently continuing my education and raising our little one My husband is also an animal lover who grew up with three dogs and helps me care for our Rover guests. Together, we make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, playtime, and love! My experience includes pet sitting, dog walking, administering medications, and even assisting cats during labor. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while giving you peace of mind while you’re away. We take a lot of videos and photos during their stay and always ask questions when we have any concerns. Please feel rest assured that they will be safe in our homes!

I am very happy with Val. She went above and beyond caring for our furry baby. She sent several times a day phots and short videos. Each time our kitten looked happy and safe.
Van was incredibly helpful giving quick updates whenever I asked on how my dog was doing during his stay. Everyday she sent pictures and videos of my dog Whiteclaw, which was nice to look at while I was away. I appreciate her help, and would highly recommend Van!! Will be coming back again!
Van was absolutely wonderful. This was the first time our 11 year old pup was going to be with a sitter for an extended period of time. She sent updates, photos and videos every day. She made me feel comfortable and took such good care of my girl. We will be booking with Van again!
This was the first time I’ve ever left my baby in someone’s care, and she exceeds expectations! Simon was a rescue and is extremely skittish, but she was able to make him comfortable and even got him to interact with the other cat. She maintains your schedule and keeps you updated, overall very communicative. Will definitely recommend/rebook.
Van was lovely and I was really thankful she was able to watch my cat while away for the weekend! She kept me updated and provided much comfort to Tabby as he can be very anxious and scared in new environments! They made him feel comfortable and he warmed up after a day! Will definitely recommend and will be using them again if I am going to be out of town!

I am a nurse. I work 4 days a week. I have would have lots of time to help out with tasks! I respond fairly quick!

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is my top priority. My home is filled with cozy nooks for resting and open areas for play. I have plenty of toys to keep your pets entertained and stimulated. I have a fenced backyard if your pets enjoyed some backyard time. I use non-toxic cleaning products and keep harmful substances out of reach. I understand the importance of social interaction and can provide ample opportunities for pets to engage with me or with others in a supervised and positive manner. For pets that need more privacy, I have quiet and secluded areas where they can retreat and relax.

A typical day
A typical day of pet sitting in my care starts with a warm welcome and a familiar routine. Food is tailored to specific dietary needs. Water bowl cleaned and fresh water is provided daily. Dogs - trip around the neighborhood or the doggy park if requested as well as playtime with toys Cats - scratchboard, feather wands, toys, and any grooming needs Rest assured, I always start by asking the owners for their pets favorite activities or games to ensure they are comfortable in my care.
