“Tricia sent pictures daily while we were away and helped Kuma have a comfortable stay. She adapted his feeding schedule so he would be more satisfied and made sure to tell me before making any changes. Would be happy to leave Kuma with her in the future!”

“Lindsy was great! She sent me daily pics of my babies and made me feel comfortable leaving them behind. She will definelty be our go to pup sitter next time. I love that she is home all day with the pups. I feel bad leaving them if them in another home alone if I go away.”
“Kalen runs a very clean and professional dog kennel. We are currently taking care of our son’s dog while he is away on a detachment, and we wanted someone we could trust. Our son had used Kalen back in February, so we decided to go with him again. When we dropped Loki off, he immediately recognized where he was and was excited to go inside. That told us a lot about how comfortable he feels there. Kalen clearly takes good care of the dogs and creates a safe, welcoming environment. Kalen is also great with communication. He responds quickly, keeps you updated, and is easy to work with. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would definitely use him again.”

“Sierra did a great job with Winston and Bruno. She has watched them many times and will continue to book with her. The boys always get lots of attention and are taken care of. Thank you!”

“This is our second time having Sanah watch our pups. She is phenomenal. She truly goes above and beyond with her care. The pups are happy to see her and enjoy her space. We 10/10 would recommend her to watch anyone’s pup.”

“Sherrie did a great job with Oakley & Kodiak. She updated us frequently with pictures and messages. The boys came back to us exhausted (especially Kodiak?). We will definitely use Sherrie again!”

“Alexis is a hard worker and Vivian my pug was healthy so she gets 5 stars. Two things bothered me & that’s her comment to me before pick up that my dog peed inside a couple of times. Viv is paper trained & i left her with a mat & lots of pads. While i was dropping her off & while explaining her schedule she peed on the pad, I left Alexis with 13 pads when i picked her up a lot of pads were leftover so i knew then they weren’t used. Pick up day Alexis texted me she was working from 10-8 and she left me a key under the mat. Viv was in a small gated off area near the bathroom with two other dogs it kinda shocked me, it was safe, all the dogs were the same size. Since Viv hasn’t had an indoor accident in over 6 months i’ll assume she was left longer than a few hours without her peed pad. Also I left Viv for 10 days and was sent just one pic normally that would’ve bothered me but my trip was packed with activity & had limited access to internet on my trip still every 2 days found a place to look at the Rover app and was sad i didn’t see any pics. That said Viv was safe, fed and happy. A pet owner can’t ask for more than that.”
“Myra was a wonderful caretaker of our sweet pup Riley. They brought her into their home, treated her like part of the family, and gave us updates and pictures daily. We feel very lucky we found such a great dog sitter! Thank you Myra!”

“We are so picky about our dog, Scout! But Yvette took wonderful care of her - the only problem is that we don’t live close enough to have her be our “go-to” doggie sitter! We were traveling to Vegas from Texas to attend a conference and Yvette really helped us out. NO NEED TO LOOK ANY FURTHER…Pick Yvette!!”

“Emily and Dylan were absolutely amazing while dog sitting Bella. They took the time to keep me consistently updated and sent pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind. Bella clearly enjoyed her time with them and seemed very happy and comfortable in their care. I truly appreciate the love and attention they gave her, and I would 100% trust them again. Highly recommend! 🐾✨”

“Kayla and Stephen were absolutely wonderful during the two day trip Greta had with them. I received text every day photos every few hours and the communication was just amazing knowing that Greta was having an amazing time. They were loving her and getting the constant updates just made me feel more comfortable with Greta being there and didn’t make me feel like I was away from her. I felt like I was still at home because she wasn’t a loving and comfortable environment. I will definitely be using them again in hopes they are available on my next work trips or vacations planned!! Highly recommend!”

“I recently hired Christa to take care of my puppy Simba while I was out of town, and I couldn’t be more pleased with her service. Christa was fantastic from start to finish! She provided regular updates and sent adorable pictures of Simba, which made me feel at ease while I was away. Her communication was top-notch, and she was always quick to respond to any questions I had. What truly impressed me was Christa’s willingness to go above and beyond. Since I’m currently without transportation, she graciously picked Simba up and dropped him off. It was such a huge help and made the whole process seamless. I highly recommend Christa for anyone in need of a reliable and caring dog sitter. Simba loved her, and I’m so grateful for her exceptional service!”

“Kelly is an amazing sitter! My dog Dumpling immediately felt right at home with her and her family. She is considerate and attentive and I felt secure during our vacation knowing that Dumpling was cared for and loved. My dog is a cuddlebug and she had the opportunity to cuddle to her heart’s content. ❤️ I will definitely book with Kelly again!”

Mia with the best dog sitter I could’ve imagined! Having rescued my dog just a few weeks ago I was nervous to leave him but my worries quickly faded when I saw how loving and attentive Mia was with my Benjamin 💙 She treated him as her own, sent regular pictures and videos and was very responsive. I would highly recommend Mia :)

Hunter was great when watching our little boy Champ. He was attentive, caring, and patient. When Champ began experiencing some separation anxiety being away from us, Hunter was extremely diligent with reaching out to notify us and talk through ways to help make Champ more comfortable. Thank you Hunter for watching Champ for us during our time of need!

Great experience! When you love your pets, there is always the fear of them suffering or feeling uncomfortable while you are away. From our first meet-and-greet, Joke gave us the confidence to integrate March (our 10-year-old indoor, medium-sized Schnauzer) into her family. She took the time to introduce him to each member of the household and observe their reactions. The reception was wonderful, and March quickly connected with everyone, receiving love and attention from the very beginning. I provided Joke with the main instructions for caring for March, and I am extremely satisfied with the way she followed them. She went above and beyond by sending us pictures and updates throughout her stay, which gave us great peace of mind. I would also like to mention that when you drop off your dog, you immediately notice how clean the environment is. The space is spacious, calm, and free from the overcrowding that can sometimes disrupt a dog's comfort and tranquility. The absence of other dogs helped ensure a peaceful and stress-free stay for March. I highly recommend Joke to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and professional pet sitter. We will definitely use her services again! 🐾❤️ Thank you.

Lea was an amazing doggie sitter. From the beginning, she helped me navigate the app and reassured me that she will take good care of Yogi! While we were on vacation we got daily updates and lots of videos/pictures. Lea was quick in replying to our communication and we highly recommend Lea to take care of your fur babies!

Out of all the great sitters Rover has to offer I’m so happy I picked Alexis. I was so nervous about leaving Lily that I almost canceled my vacation. But Alexis and her to cats made Lily feel comfortable from the first day I dropped her off. And in no time, Lily was acting like she was part of the family. Alexis did a great job sending me pictures and keeping me updated on how Lily was doing which set my mind at ease. Alexis was also kind enough to stay up late and wait on me to pick up Lily when my flight was delayed. I’d definitely recommend Alexis if you’re looking for a caring pet sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
