“Kimberley and Deanna are fabulous, kind, experienced and knowledgeable. They have worked with many rescues so they have worked with many animals who aren’t your typical house pets, and know how to handle problems if they come up. My kitty baby was an abused rescue and after meeting them I was confident he would be safe with them. First time in 8 years he has left my home. So rather traumatic. He’s back now and sailed thru with flying colors due to their care. I can solidly recommend them. Rover, the company I’m fairly peeved with. My registering had a problem that I was up the entire night attempting to solve. The computer was actually more helpful than the people I attempted to use chat with who only kept repeating the same rote phrase that didn’t solve anything and took several hours for the first reply. Rover has absolutely no way to directly contact a live person by phone when a critical problem is not being solved. I Had to have my cat settled by 7 am or I would have no place to put him safely in this very warm heat while management bombed the apartment complex. Rover has some work to do on customer service backup when their rote systems don’t work. This was NOT a fun experience not to mention tinged with desperation and no time left for alternative solutions after I had list my previous solution at the last minute.”

“Kayla and Stephen were absolutely wonderful during the two day trip Greta had with them. I received text every day photos every few hours and the communication was just amazing knowing that Greta was having an amazing time. They were loving her and getting the constant updates just made me feel more comfortable with Greta being there and didn’t make me feel like I was away from her. I felt like I was still at home because she wasn’t a loving and comfortable environment. I will definitely be using them again in hopes they are available on my next work trips or vacations planned!! Highly recommend!”

“Hayley was great with my pup, Kaia. She sent tons of pictures and filled me in on her days spent with Hayley's own dog. At the last minute, there was a slight change in pick-up time, and Hayley was very accommodating and understanding. I would recommend Hayley and her family 1,000% for your dog's needs! She made this such an easy and pleasurable experience for me and made my dog's days with her seem more like a sleepover at a friend's house versus going to a sitter.”

“Jesmarie and husband were amazing with my dog, my dog can sometimes be too much and she was giving them a hard time a little bit and probably being annoying but she still took good care of my dog and communicated everything that was happening and sent me pictures, she still made me feel like it was totally fine and she had great patience. Would recommend her anytime.”

“The best! It was like a playdate for my boy. He had a blast. Xavier was very communicative. Received updates and felt confident Coop was in good hands. He loved a break from apartment life to enjoy the backyard. Will definitely rebook when Coop needs a sitter again. Thanks Xavier!”

“Kristal was amazing while boarding our dog, Auggie! She was very responsible, communicative, and made sure Auggie was well cared for throughout his stay. We really appreciated the regular updates and photos—it gave us peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. Would definitely recommend her and would love to book with her again!”

“Willow had a great stay at Zinnia's! He made a lot of friends and the videos of him playing with them every morning gave me the peace of mine to focus on my work trip. He's been resting from all the play time but im sure he can't wait to go back!”

“Cara and Graham and their family took great care of our dog, Bo. It was the first time Bo had been boarded outside our home, but they made us feel comfortable, took time for everyone to meet each other, and accommodated my crazy schedule at drop-off. Bo REALLY enjoyed the room to roam at their house! I would definitely recommend and will be using them again!”

“Martin was a great sitter for my puppy Honey. He made sure she was never bored by taking her on walks and parks. When I picked her up, I could see Honey really liked Martin by the way she acted with him. Martin has a great patio and his dog, Chewy, was super friendly with Honey. I will be choosing him in the future!”

“Leanna and Berlin took excellent care of my Jobim during Thanksgiving Break. They played, cuddled, ran, and let her become part if their happy little family fir awhile. They even took immediate care of Jobim when she had a small mishap in their back yard...they went above and beyond to make sure she was taken care of, healed, and back to her old self. I feel blessed to have found such wonderful, caring, attentive, and nurturing pet sitters. Thank you so much for all your help. I will definitely use their services again in the future. Joseph”

About: I love animals!! I am an experienced sitter who you can trust to take amazing care of your pup. I love dogs that are not mine as if they were my own! I grew up with animals of all types and I have many years of taking care of my own pets. I also have many years as a foster/volunteer for local shelters & rescues. I can’t wait to sit/board or walk your treasured baby. Be sure that if you decide on me I will go above and beyond as that is my style in life and with animals and people. I take any (and all) opportunities to snuggle and go on fun adventures with dogs. I specialize and care for lots of puppies, elderly dogs that need extra medical care. My schedule is very flexible. I work from home so your baby will get non stop attention. I am able to take your pup on potty breaks every 1-2 hours. After 4:00pm & on weekends, I have unlimited free time to take them on walks, play games, & plenty of snuggle time. I take dog boarding seriously and safety is my number one priority. Your dog will always have someone around to give them lots of attention and affection. I also have other friendly dogs for your pup to play with. Your pup will be able to free roam throughout the day and can be crated at night if needed. I spend lots of time outside gardening, so all dogs will get plenty outdoor time. My days start early, so drop off and pickup times are pretty flexible.
“Christian and Hana were wonderful! We got regular updates on how our pup was doing (complete with adorable photos) which made us feel so much better about being away from her. I'd definitely have Vee stay with them again!”

“Jonathan & Christopher once again took great care of my 2 dogs in their beautiful home. I had accidentally booked the incorrect drop off time and I really appreciate how flexible they were with me. Thank you!”
“Linda was very caring and understanding while taking care of my miniature poodle, Csipet. She provided her with the comfort and attention she needed while away from home. Linda had also gave me (a rookie dog parent) great insights and tips for the future care of my pup. I would let Linda care for my dog again without any hesitation.”

The young ladies took wonderful care of Max and he enjoyed meeting and playing with his new fur buddies while I was away. I would highly recommend this sitter and will be rebooking in the future. I also must add that I appreciate the photos of Max playing and the compliments about his behavior and glad that you enjoyed his company. He must have had a great time because he was exhausted. Thanks again! 🌻

Shana was fantastic. She took great care of our 3 crazy dogs. They were happy and cleaned up for pick up. She bathed them for us, which was the only experience I had in rover that had the full service! She did everything and more, Shana is loved by our pups. Amazing dog sitter!

Tamaya was absolutely amazing! She kept us updated the entire time and always shared the sweetest pictures of our boy. Thank you so much for taking such great care of him while we were out of town; it gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was with you. Thank you! Kaitlyn & Tyler

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
