“Kim was absolutely amazing! We had never left our dog at somebody’s house before, so we were a little nervous. Kim quickly put our nerves to rest, as she provided frequent updates, along with photos and videos. She really treated our pet as one of her own and actually got him to do some things that we haven’t been able to do (like eat vegetables!) we will use Kim again, and highly recommended her.”

“I cannot recommend Christina enough! She took care of our little P so well! Amazing communication and received tons of pictures. She really treated Piper as if she was her own and it was so reassuring knowing Piper was so loved ?”

About: I have been taking care dogs for the past 10 years of my life. I have been a dog lover for as long as I remember and truly believe they are man’s best friend! I am currently a stay at home wife with a lot of time to dedicate to your fur baby! I spend all day ensuring my pups feel nurtured and happy. I have a fenced yard and plenty of space for your fur baby to play. I also have 2 dogs of my own that can keep your baby company if they are comfortable. I will also meet the needs of whatever your fur baby is feeling and adhere to your standard of care!

About: I'm a stay-at-home, homeschooling mother of four, and I have one dog (yellow lab mix) and two cats! I love animals and since we are home majority of the time, your pet will have ample love, attention, and care. MY entire downstairs is tile and we have a backyard, so puppies still needing house training would be acceptable. I'm happy to walk/run with dogs, care for cats, come to your home to do check ins, whatever you're looking for, just ask! I have taken care of animals for family, and I appreciate any details or notes you have so I can provide the very best quality of care for your individual pet. I am home majority of the day with my kids. I have young kids ages 5-11 and I homeschool, so we are home most of the time. I take our dog on a walk or run in the morning around 7am or earlier, and again in the evening if the weather is nice. I have plenty of time for loving and caring for your pet! I offer care in our home, or in yours depending on your needs. Your pet will be exercised, fed, watered, loved, played with, cleaned up after, and all around cared for and adored. I can only provide care to animals who are okay with children and other pets, to keep everyone safe from natural pet instincts to protect themselves. My children have been taught to use only gentle and loving hands with slow approach with adult supervision. In the event we need to leave the house I do require kenneling for dogs if they are known to chew/scratch. I am happy to provide pictures and updates, so that you can rest assured your pet is happy and thriving while you are away.

“Our experience with Marie was great! We loved that Coco had a nice big yard to play in and accommodations were comfortable. We felt very relaxed leaving our dog with Marie and will definitely recommend her to family and friends.”

“Our senior boy is very timid and quiet - we left him with Jed & family for the weekend to get a feel for his reaction to sitters as we plan for a 14 day vacation soon. Jed was wonderful about sending frequent updates a pics and they took great care of our old fella. They have a huge back yard with grass and lots of room to explore. I would definitely recommend Jed & Genivieve for your fur baby!”
“I loved receiving the updates about my Lily dog. His home is very well maintained and I can tell Lily was very well cared and attended to. So much better than putting her up at Petsmart. Lily and I will be looking forward to continue our pet sitting relationship with Sean!”

“Myron and Pat took the time to get to know my dog Ace during the meet and greet and addressed my concerns about him having an issue with marking indoors during a previous stay. They coordinated a very smooth dropoff and Ace showed no signs of anxiety or distress. From the pictures, it was clear that Ace was very comfortable and received lots of attention and lap time. He did not have a marking or barking issue during this stay and I think it's because he was very comfortable there. This is one of the best Rover experiences I've had-would definitely recommend!”

“Francesca C is an amazing sitter. She accepted my last minute request. She updated couple of times with pictures. My puppy was happy. I had wonderful experience. Will definitely go back and recommend.”

“Patch has an awesome time. He was well taken care of and we will be back. Stephanie sent us pictures of Patch and we got updates from her. I highly recommend Stephanie to watch your dogs.”

“Megan was absolutely fantastic. Our dog Skipper is 12 years old now and he needed a place where he could feel at home. I don't think we could have found a better sitter than Megan. She communicated clearly and often and sent frequent pictures of Skipper. He was clearly happy and relaxed while we were away. Thank you so much, Megan!”

“Sierra and Jason were fantastic. They were able to accommodate us for a last minute trip and my pups had a great time. They are very communicative and I got daily updates and lots of photos! Pups were smiling in all the photos and it was so nice knowing they were getting so much love while we were gone :)”

“Rae was great with Olive! She sent picture updates and I know she got her walks in! Rae made Olive feel right at home with snuggles and keeping to her schedule. She’s a dog lover and I had no worries! Thanks Rae! Olive will be back!”

“Thank you for watching Denver again. It’s so wonderful to have such sweet and loving people take care of our baby the past 7 years. He had a great time.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Waddell
Claudia did an excellent job dog sitting our Maltese for the day. She made sure that our dog was not overwhelmed by the new environment and the other dogs. She was very thorough and her communications were great, sending photos and videos several times during the day. It was clear that she cared very much for all of the dogs and her house and yard were set up perfectly. An excellent experience for our dog.

We picked up our guy today after being gone for 8 days. First time leaving him anywhere so we were nervous. Chris and Julia were amazing. They were so nice and made us feel comfortable. They sent us daily updates and we could see he was enjoying himself and getting along with their dog. We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing he was in good hands. They’ll definitely be our go to sitters in the future.

Very happy with the care Milo got while we were out of town! Deanna sent pictures and kept me posted on how he was doing which I greatly appreciated. leaving Milo with someone else is always hard but knowing he was in good hands helped. I’d definitely use Deanna again !

Very blessed to have met this family on such a short notice. She was very responsive and sent updates with pictures throughout the entire time. Her communication gave me complete peace of mind, and it was clear that they provided a safe, loving, and welcoming environment. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and reliable care!

Michele was a great and trustworthy sitter for my dog during my time in the area. Very communicative and accommodating to ensure everything is comfortable for your fur baby. I don’t even think my dog missed me when I dropped her off with Michele! 🤗 I would recommend her to anyone needing a reliable sitter.

From the moment we dropped off Scorch, Chuck was friendly and welcoming. Communication throughout was excellent, with regular updates that gave us peace of mind while we were away. We felt confident leaving Scorch in such a clean and secure environment. Scorch came home happy and well taken care of, which really says it all. We'll definitely be using Chuck's services again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
