“First time using this app and Heather made this experience exceptional. She took her time to meet our fur babies and all our needs. Our pets have a small circle so for them to get so comfortable with heather says a lot! Thank you so much Heather for taking good care of our pets, you’re truly amazing!”

“There aren’t enough terrific words to describe the loving care Michele gave our two dogs. One of our dogs was a rescue we had for six months. She was afraid of most people, but not Michele. After several days she even let Michele pet her. Michele did an amazing job and even sent pictures every day with pictures. I would definitely ask for her again.”

“Claudia has been the best! She has looked over our pups a few times now and its been wonderful. Our new puppy Enzo is very scared of people and Claudia kept trying to help him not be afraid. From when he met her until the last visit he has improved so much! Thank you :)”

“Daizy is great! Everything you’d want in a host - responsive, communicative, flexible, and a genuine animal lover. She sent us plenty of pictures, and when we came home I could tell my boys had been well taken care of. We have been booking with Daizy since we moved to the area and will continue to do so. I recommend her to others in the Goodyear area!”

About: There have been pets by my side from the day I was born. I currently have 3 cats and 2 dogs: Everett, Violet, Cookie, Herbert, and Walter! Every single person in my immediate family has 2+ dogs and I love to host their playdates. I even have two dog trainer friends who have given me their best advice! I have cared for dogs and cats ages 1-15+ plus fish, parakeets, and hermit crabs. I love the young ones and the senior alike. I often care for multiple pets at once and have experience with special needs pets and administering medication (orally and injected) I am returning to Rover after a 3-year break. I am excited to be active again! To accommodate the care of my own special needs cat, I do not accept overnight requests. I am currently accepting requests for dog-walking and drop-in bookings only. I am a college professor and K-12 substitute working from home most days. With my own cat's special needs, I am currently limiting my services to dog-walking and drop-in bookings only. With summer, I only schedule walks in the morning to prevent our furry loved ones from overheating. :) I do not currently offer services in my own home, but I will respect your home as if it were mine. I check my messages frequently, am punctual, and will love sending you photos of your pets as often as you would like.
“2 dogs and 3 cats. Pleasant from the 1st meet & greet. Loved the photos daily. Good communication and on time for visits. It’s hard to find someone to trust, so look not further. This can be your person too. Thank you!!”

“Kimberly did a wonderful job! She sent pictures, walked the dogs, and when we came home I could tell that all the food and water had been looked after! I especially appreciated her taking the time to play with the dogs too! Definitely will hire her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of multiple dogs and cats since I was 16. I will treat your home and belongings with respect as I give your cats and dogs attention (and some belly rubs). After every stay, I make sure your home is exactly how it was when I got there! I currently only work short hours two days a week as well so I can provided a lot of time for your pets to be properly cared for. I’ve always had dogs growing up and I’m used to calm pups as well as crazy ones! I currently work two days a week for short periods of time. On Mondays, I work 3:30-8 at night. On Saturdays, I work 9-1 in the morning/afternoon. I wake up early as well as stay up a little later which allows me to properly give your pets attention and care they deserve! I’m someone who has a huge heart for animals. I treat your pets with respect and care just as if they were own pets! Along with this, I will respect your property completely.
“Dina was fabulous! This was our first time using Rover and Dina for a 4 day trip. Dina came to our twice per day to take care of our 2 dogs and 2 cats. They loved her and did very well. She was very friendly and prompt to give us pet updates twice per day. We highly recommend Dina and will definitely use her again for our next trip!”

About: I have grown up with dogs in my family my entire life. That’s why I understand that they’re not pets- they’re family. My family was big on adoption but we got our first puppy when I was 10 and I took the reigns to train her into one of the sweetest and smartest dogs we had ever owned I’m currently working full time with a flexible schedule that isn’t set, so I would be available to make visits 2-3 times a day or stay overnight to help care for whatever pet needs you may have. I would be available to walk at least once a day for visits, and allow outside at least twice. I could feed and check in at least twice a day as well. There could be more opportunity if I would be staying overnight and depending on the need of your pets, along with my availability for the week
“Krysten is absolutely wonderful! Our pups loved her, she provided great photos from her visits and greatly eased our minds while we were away! I am so happy we have an experienced and kind caregiver for our furry family members. We especially appreciate her expertise with older pets, as our Casey needs some extra help with her day to day activities.”
About: I’ve been a dog owner most of my life, I currently dog sit for friends. I also have experience administering medications via oral and dermal. I’m a 3rd grade teacher with 2 kids who love puppies. I love dogs and have been a dog owner most of my life. I am comfortable with all breeds. We live in a house with a yard for running around and we have several parks in our neighborhood to run around at. We live in a safe quiet neighborhood that we feel comfortable walking any time day or night.
“Emily was incredible over the weekend! She was amazing with Peaches and sending updates/pictures! I would definitely recommend her and will be using her in the future!”

“Brianna has been absolutely amazing with our pup. She’s reliable, caring, and always takes great care of him. It’s such a relief knowing he’s in good hands. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and thoughtful dog sitter!”

“Laura was so kind and took great care of our dog Bella! We got updates every time she would do a visit with her. I was super impressed with how well she did with Bella, even though our dog had a lot of energy, Laura did great with her. Thank you so much for your time & we appreciate you stepping in to help us while our family was on vacation!!”

About: I'm a stay-at-home, homeschooling mother of four, and I have one dog (yellow lab mix) and two cats! I love animals and since we are home majority of the time, your pet will have ample love, attention, and care. MY entire downstairs is tile and we have a backyard, so puppies still needing house training would be acceptable. I'm happy to walk/run with dogs, care for cats, come to your home to do check ins, whatever you're looking for, just ask! I have taken care of animals for family, and I appreciate any details or notes you have so I can provide the very best quality of care for your individual pet. I am home majority of the day with my kids. I have young kids ages 5-11 and I homeschool, so we are home most of the time. I take our dog on a walk or run in the morning around 7am or earlier, and again in the evening if the weather is nice. I have plenty of time for loving and caring for your pet! I offer care in our home, or in yours depending on your needs. Your pet will be exercised, fed, watered, loved, played with, cleaned up after, and all around cared for and adored. I can only provide care to animals who are okay with children and other pets, to keep everyone safe from natural pet instincts to protect themselves. My children have been taught to use only gentle and loving hands with slow approach with adult supervision. In the event we need to leave the house I do require kenneling for dogs if they are known to chew/scratch. I am happy to provide pictures and updates, so that you can rest assured your pet is happy and thriving while you are away.
About: I have been taking care of pets my entire life. I have raised several stray dogs and cats and have also had several litters of dogs that I ended up keeping! I have adopted pets on numerous occasions and welcome all their different personalities. I work full time, Monday-Friday, however my schedule allows me to be very flexible. I am generally always free on the weekends. I am flexible. I have three dogs who are all rescues at my home, so I will unfortunately only be able to visit your pets at your home.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Waddell
Annabella was amazing! She went above and beyond to care for our cat Loki while we were on vacation. The night we left, our fire alarms became defective and kept setting off until our maintenance team could come fix them the next day. Annabella stayed extra long during her visit to reassure Loki and comfort him. Our litter robot also had a connection issue, and she was able to reset it & set up an emergency litter box I had shipped to the home. The fire alarm situation caused me a lot of anxiety at the beginning of the trip, but the daily updates and photos from Annabella made me feel so much better and we were able to thoroughly enjoy the rest of our trip, knowing our boy was in good hands! We would definitely rebook with her on future trips. :)

Dina was an excellent pet sitter for our dog Molly during our week-long trip. We didn’t know Molly could be quite naughty and destructive when nervous or home alone, but Dina handled it beautifully — she provided the extra love and attention Molly needed and helped manage those behaviors while following all of our care instructions. Dina was always on time for her drop-ins and communicated clearly, which gave us complete peace of mind. She went above and beyond by bringing in our trash bins from the street after pickup. We highly recommend Dina to any pet owner looking for a reliable, caring sitter. She truly helped us relax and enjoy our time away knowing Molly was in good hands. Thank you, Dina!

I am always so happy when Krysten takes care of my cat Wolfy. I always know he is in loving and caring hands. She not only takes care of him, but also brings in my mail and any other needs Wolfy or I may have. My home looks so clean and untouched when I come home, and Wolfy is calm and content. It gives me a sense of calm during my times away. I highly recommend Krysten when searching for a pet sitter. A+++++++++++++++++++

Laura is awesome! She is super communicative, kind and so attentive to our fur babies and their needs. Loved the photos she sent, too. Laura was flexible and very understanding throughout our booking. When we were unreachable during our trip, she coordinated with our neighbors as needed. Highly recommend and so grateful for her services!

Daizy is an amazing sitter who cares about the pets she looks after. Always giving picture updates and checking in routinely. She makes me feel comfortable leaving my pets in her caring hands every time she looks after them. She is also fantastic with skittish kiddos, giving them space to feel comfortable with her presence. She is a great sitter and we will be booking her again.

I had a great experience with Caprial. One of my two cats is usually very easily scared and tends to hide around new people, but surprisingly showed no signs of fear around her at all. Both cats seemed comfortable and well cared for. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and kind sitter.

We are so thankful that my co-worker referred me to Kelsey! She was amazing with the dogs and took great photos! If we could give her more stars we would. We had a small situation at our house while we were out of state, and she went the full extra mile to help as she could. Again, so thankful we hired her! This is the Rover you want.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
