Before each walk, I make sure I understand the dog’s routine, behavior, leash preferences, and any special instructions from the owner. During walks, I prioritize safety by staying alert to surroundings, using secure leash handling, and avoiding unsafe interactions with other animals when needed. I let dogs explore at a pace that matches their energy level while making sure they get proper exercise, stimulation, and bathroom breaks. I also pay close attention to each dog’s behavior so I can adjust the walk if they seem tired, anxious, or overly excited. After the walk, I ensure they are safely returned home, have fresh water if needed, and that I provide updates to the owner so they know how the walk went.
