“Stephanie is great! We have worked with her many times. Five stars, as always. On time every day with good care for our kitties. Stephanie is trustworthy and professional. Two paws up from Kyo, Porchie, Lucky, and Willow!”

About: I have taken care of dogs in my home and professionally at a daycare/boarding facility. I am an RN and comfortable with meds and first aid. I will treat your dog like my family! I am currently working on starting my own business taking dogs on excursions to keep cool while playing with other dogs. I love dogs and find great satisfaction taking care of them in the home or outdoors. I will strive to maintain the regular routine for your dog. I help them feel comfortable by doing the same things you would do for them. Meal time, bedtime, walking, pottying, etc. all tend to have a routine, and I will keep that routine while pouring out affection to your dog as if they were my own.
“Krysten was exceptional, she was on time for each visit, took great care of both our girls. It was great being able to go out of town without worrying about our dogs, we will definitely use Rover and Krysten again.”

“Gibson was happy and healthy when we returned. We got cute daily photos and videos and could see he was being fed and petted. We appreciated Stevie's willingness to take on our kitty rather last minute. We had used the same sitter for 10 years but were unable to reach her and needed a replacement with very little notice. Stevie was willing to come and meet us and Gibson in advance and she was obviously a cat person and her visit made us feel comfortable. We would definitely hire her again.”

“Savannah was so attentive to our cat for drop-ins while we were on vacation. She made sure she moved at our cat’s pace, which paid off as it seems she warmed up quickly! We had such peace of mind knowing our girl was taken care of. Will definitely book with Savannah again!”

“Dani was fantastic with my Bengal Yuki. Yuki has a lot of anxiety and as a kitty, does not do well boarding. This was our first time with a pet sitter and Dani made the whole experience very comforting. We got our Rover card daily with a photo of Yuki and a note of how he was doing each day we were gone. Dani was always easy to reach and during our initial meeting was very thorough with understanding exactly how to take care of Yuki. We trust Dani to take care of Yuki again next time we are out of town. Highly recommend!”

“Tonya was great! She was punctual and really cares about the fur babies she’s taking care of which is wonderful. My boys liked her (they told me so lol) and I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again!”

“Patricia was truly amazing, and I couldn’t be more grateful for her care. She took extra time to help my dog warm up and feel safe, which meant everything to me. My pup was extremely difficult at first, but Patricia was so patient, gentle, and kind- never rushed, never discouraged. She went above and beyond by taking my dog on long walks, giving medication exactly as requested, and even working with her on training (she helped her learn to lay down!). The constant photo updates were so reassuring and showed just how much love and attention she was giving. It’s clear Patricia genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. I felt completely at ease knowing my dog was in such thoughtful, capable hands. Thank you so much, Patricia — you’re incredible, and I would trust you again in a heartbeat!”

“Dina was fabulous! This was our first time using Rover and Dina for a 4 day trip. Dina came to our twice per day to take care of our 2 dogs and 2 cats. They loved her and did very well. She was very friendly and prompt to give us pet updates twice per day. We highly recommend Dina and will definitely use her again for our next trip!”

“I couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention Tamara provided Laddie my nice but barky kinda shy Sheltie. Tamara was very attentive and desirous to make sure Laddie was comfortable and not stressed out. I highly recommend Tamara and will request her to care for my 4-legged boy any time I need to go away without him. Thanks Stan and Laddie”

About: I am an experienced pet caregiver, and in another life I was a veterinary assistant. I currently work part-time (2-3 days a week) in retail, so I want to spread love and care to all pets big and small! As of right now I am available every day, including weekends, from early mornings to late nights. I have reliable transportation to and from your homes as needed or in case of any emergency. I can offer long walks and play time for your furry friends! I can work with both dogs and cats who require medications such as insulin, transdermal medications, any other oral medications and other special care during home visits and boarding situations. I do not have any breed restrictions and hope to see dogs of all shapes and sizes, and I can walk even the heaviest of dogs. I currently work full time from home. I have a fenced in backyard for potty breaks and easily accessible walking trails by my home that I love utilizing. I live in a 3 bedroom home with my partner and a roommate. We are all animal lovers and love to play. While I am the main caregiver in the home, I am in competition for main cuddler.

“Had a great experience with this Lauren for drop-in visits for my two dogs! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about my pets. I appreciated the updates and photos—it gave me real peace of mind while I was away. My dogs were happy and well taken care of. I’ll definitely book with Lauren again!”

Tamara was absolutely wonderful with our dog. She was reliable, communicative and we loved the daily photo updates. We felt completely at ease knowing our pet was in such good hands. I would definitely book Tamara again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter.

This is the second time I've used Savannah to watch my two cats. It's nice to know they are in such great hands while I'm away - I don't worry about them at all. She takes the time to interact with them and treat them as I would. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Im so grateful to Issy taking care of my babies. I have a regular babysitter who is gone for the summer and am always nervous to trust someone new but she honestly exceeded my expectations and I just booked her again for next month. The thorough updates she provides really puts me at ease and I was surprised that even my most timid kitty warmed up to her immediately. 🩷

Sophia went WAY above and beyond what we asked of her with no questions asked. We were honestly expecting to return to a horrifically dirty house because of our 4 animals after a week! We returned to an almost spotless house with many countermeasures put in place to prevent our animals from destroying everything! Thanks Sophia!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
