“Wonderful care! Messaged about how our dogs were responding to a new person from the beginning of their care, which was especially helpful since we just moved and were going out of town. Sent pics and updates of the care provided throughout!”

“Kaylynn, Giovanni, & their 2 kids have been dropping in to care for our pup for a couple weeks now and we’re so glad to have found them ! 100% recommend 🐶 💗”

About: I have grown up with dogs in my family my entire life. That’s why I understand that they’re not pets- they’re family. My family was big on adoption but we got our first puppy when I was 10 and I took the reigns to train her into one of the sweetest and smartest dogs we had ever owned I’m currently working full time with a flexible schedule that isn’t set, so I would be available to make visits 2-3 times a day or stay overnight to help care for whatever pet needs you may have. I would be available to walk at least once a day for visits, and allow outside at least twice. I could feed and check in at least twice a day as well. There could be more opportunity if I would be staying overnight and depending on the need of your pets, along with my availability for the week

“Brianna has been absolutely amazing with our pup. She’s reliable, caring, and always takes great care of him. It’s such a relief knowing he’s in good hands. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and thoughtful dog sitter!”

About: I have loved and cared for animals for most of my life and have hands-on experience with both cats and small dogs at every stage of life, from kittens and puppies to senior pets. I understand that older pets may require extra patience and attention, while younger pets benefit from playtime, consistency, and routine. I strive to provide reliable, loving care that helps pets feel comfortable and secure in their own environment. I’m attentive to routines, feeding schedules, litter box and potty needs, and each pet’s individual personality and comfort level. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I am currently semi-retired and I am generally available most days, including weekends. Daytime is my preferred time to watch and care for your pets. I am attentive to pets in their home environments and am attentive and cautious with open doors, etc. in order to ensure your pets' safety.

“Christine was absolutely fantastic, went above & beyond my expectations! This was my first time using Rover or any pet sitter I didn’t know. She came to meet my pups twice before we went out of town to be sure they were familiar with her. They both get pretty excited around people and can be a bit much, but Christine was calm and loving from the minute she walked in. She sent photos at each visit and reassured us our fur babies were in good hands. So thankful to have found her, I will recommend her to my local friends that may need a pet sitter!”

About: I’m very patient and am willing to work with the most rowdy animals to the most stubborn pets, despite my experience I can assure you I’ll get my tasks done; from walking to grooming and playing with them. Your pets needs will be met with care and efficiency. I am currently in school and also working part time, I want to take this opportunity to not only experience new things but to also use this as a healing time from my daily life! Your pet will be my utmost priority. It’s important to me that I not only have the trust of pets, but also the trust of their owners. After an appointment, it’s important that all of your belongings are the same as it was before I was there. No mess will be left behind and owners will get periodic updates to know of their pets whereabouts at all times.
“Krysten is wonderful as always! We have a new rescue pup who is still shy, before her visit, she planned a stop by to meet him so he would be calm when she did her visit. We appreciate her care of our pups so much!!!”

“Cynthia did such a great job helping watch our dogs for the weekend! Great at communicating and sending us photos of our pups. 100% recommend her for all your fur babies needs. (:”

About: I’ve had animals my whole life. Dogs and cats. My kids are grown so now all my time is spent with my fur baby. I have a female standard poodle who loves playing with other animals. I work from home and I am a supervisor. I have plenty of time to care for your fur baby. I love and adore animals and wish I could fill my house with them. I have a fence yard and a fur baby to keep your fur baby company. All animals are allowed on the furniture and all up in your personal space.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
