“I don't think I could have found a more entertaining place for Guido to spend his day. I'm just sad that they're almost an hour's drive for me, or I would continue using them. I think Guido is actually disappointed to leave.”

“Suzelande was very sweet and professional. She sent a bunch of pics and videos throughout the day, and my baby even took a nap at her house so I know he was comfortable. Will definiotely book again in the future (:”

“Just picked up our doodle, Abby from Jason and Sierras'. She is very shy around people so I was concerned with how she would react to them in their home. All seemed to go well and it sounds as if Abby did just fine in a new environment. Very happy with her stay”

“Dory and Daisy had a great time. I felt very comfortable leaving my pets with them knowing that they would be well taken care of. Nicolette and her husband are very gracious and kind. I could tell they love their pets and would do the same for mine. I will definitely use their services in the future.”

“Emily was great with my dog Gojo! He had so much fun playing with her dog Peppa. She updated me on how he was doing throughout the day and sent pictures of his stay. He came home after a day of fun tired and it was reassuring to know he was in the care of an amazing sitter. I would definitely book again!”

“Nikkie is a fantastic dog sitter! She is very communicative and reliable, and I always feel at ease leaving my dog, Tsunami, in her care. My dog absolutely loves visiting Nikkie - she gets so excited the moment we arrive at her house. It’s clear Nikkie treats her like one of her own. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring sitter.”

“Joyce is fantastic!!! Our lil girl felt right at home and we had ease and peace of mind. Joyce has a beautiful heart and love for dogs that makes us 100% comfortable to book her moving forward for all our pet sitting needs!”

“Randy & Kay are AMAZING!!! I am so grateful that they were able to take care of my Harley on short notice, and they went above and beyond to work with me and my schedule. I knew immediately that Harley was in good hands! Receiving pictures of how he is doing throughout the day has been fantastic and very comforting. I can see that they care for him as though he were their own and when I pick him up I can tell he’s had a great time and very content. I definitely won the lotto when I found Randy & Kay, they are a huge blessing to me and my Harley!”

About: What makes me different? Honestly, I've had dogs my whole life, so I really get them. I'm super good with puppy training – helping them with the basics and house-training. And I'm also great with senior dogs, making sure they're comfy and happy. It's more than just watching them; it's about knowing exactly what they need. I only dog sit one at a time unless they come in a pair. No doggie's live in my home + I lock in rates for reoccurring customers :) Pet care is totally built into my day. Every morning starts with walks and feeding, then I make sure there's playtime and potty breaks throughout the day. Evenings are for more walks, and dinner. It's just part of my life, not an extra task. In my home, pets become part of the family, getting constant supervision, dedicated play, and comfy spaces. I focus on individual needs. I stick to their pet's routine exactly, ensuring minimal disruption, consistent care, and lots of updates for peace of mind.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Luke Air Force Base
Miranda was wonderful with Meeko and took such great care of him while I was away. She was kind, communicative, and shared the cutest photos. I was so happy to hear that Meeko got along well with the other dogs, especially another dachshund! It sounded like he had such a fun and comfortable stay. I’d absolutely trust Miranda with Meeko again and highly recommend her.

I needed someone I could fully trust to care for my two small dogs while visiting my elderly parents, and Liliana was wonderful. She’s kind, reliable, and clearly very experienced with small dogs. She communicated promptly, sent frequent photos, and was flexible with my schedule, which gave me complete peace of mind. My pups came back happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I would absolutely book Liliana again and highly recommend her.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
