“Thanks to Kim for always being available when we need a sitter for my Blair! Not only does she take care of her very well, she also sends plenty of pictures/videos of my furball playing at the dog park! Would definitely recommend.”
“Sonia is absolutely amazing — truly the best sitter I’ve ever had. She gave constant, thoughtful updates and showed so much love, care, and attention to my pup. She even accommodated me last minute, which meant the world. She exercises my dog and treats her like her own. I felt completely at ease knowing my dog was in such good hands. Thank you so much, Sonia”

“Sierra was amazing, welcoming Ruby to her home last minute for daycare. She sent photos along the way - I was so happy to see Ruby playing with her sweet pups and resting on a comfy bed. We will definitely use Sierra again!”

About: I believe dogs are one of God's best creations as they bring so much joy and happiness in cute, snuggly form. They are smart and hilarious, and each one has a unique personality. I believe in simple boundaries with them and rewards for good behavior, with space for relaxation and some for play time. My schedule is very flexible which gives me freedom to take your dog for a morning walk, play with them mid-day, feed them dinner, or just hang out. I prefer to meet with the dog at its home where it is most comfortable. My friends have trusted me to drop in during their busy days for years. At our home, I will often play with the dog inside, and take them for leashed walks through our neighborhood. We do not have a fence so there is no outside free roaming at this time.
“Kelly and her family are extremely friendly. My dog, Daisy got a long so well with them! Throughout my pet's stay she was committed to keeping me updated on the well being of Daisy. I would definitey consider taking Daisy for another visit!”

“Bethany was wonderful with our Axel. She communicated daily and sent pictures to show how much fun he had with her dogs. We’re all very happy and we will happily have Bethany care for Axel again.”

About: I’ve been a dog lover since I can remember. Not really dogs but family to me. From walking to bathing to brushing they are my kids. I’m retired now so having someone depend on me is comforting. They keep me young and they give so much love. I love doggie kisses! However, I would prefer not to take dogs in the last months of their life. I have a fenced yard and 2 dogs - my husband and I walk the dogs we play with them and they sleep with us.

About: Hey, I’m Kylea! I am a lifelong animal lover with many years of experience caring for all different types of animals! I have cared for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities. I’ve cared for everything from playful puppies and high-energy dogs to senior pets- shy or anxious animals, and pets who need extra patience, structure, or attention. Not only do I care for dogs and cats, but I have experience with bunnies, turtles, hamsters, and all sorts of animals! Animals truly bring me so much joy which is why I wanted to start doing Rover! To help others when they need a safe and loving place to have their animal cared for while away from home. I enjoy taking my dogs to the dog park and on walks although I spend a lot of the day playing at my house as I have a nice big backyard that’s a perfect play place for the dogs! I’m experienced with following detailed feeding schedules, administering basic medications, handling special diets, providing frequent potty breaks, walks, exercise, playtime, and maintaining each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I’m also comfortable caring for multiple pets at once while still making sure each animal receives individual attention and care. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I know how important our pets are—they’re family. That’s why I treat every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. My goal is to give you peace of mind while you’re away, knowing your pet(s) is receiving the best care possible. I can’t wait to meet you and your amazing pet(s) and give them a fun, loving home away from home! 🐾💕 I am a stay at home, homeschooling mom, therefore I am home basically all day everyday- other than the typical errand runs, Sunday morning church, and sports for my kids. I would say caring for animals is a hobby of mine and I am so excited to care for yours! If I happen to leave while your dog is in my care, it will be kept inside my home in a large, gated area (no kennels), and never left outside. I have tons of space in my home so dogs that are not “related” will be kept in separate areas while I am away. Your pets are my top priority and your request is highly respected for the care of them! During the AZ summer, dogs will remain inside for the majority of the day but will still get tons of attention and playtime because in my home- we play ball in the house! :) Your dog(s) will have frequent potty breaks and tons of playtime outside when the weather isn’t extremely hot to prevent your pet(s) from being overheated. I have a double fenced yard and tons of space for your pet to play. Artificial grass, a doggie pool for those dogs who love to play in water, tons of toys, an outdoor cooler with pump, & misters and fans (though dogs will never be left outside for a long period of time). As for cats- I will keep them separated in their own, quiet space with their own litter box, food, water, and accessories/toys until they seem to feel comfortable with me and in my home. Then I will introduce the cat(s) slowly to the other cats and the to rest of the home.
“Christina did wonderful with my 3 month old puppy Lily! Lily was able to socialize with other dogs which helped us out tremendously. I would definitely trust her to take care of my puppy any time.”

“Erin was amazing. It’s not easy to care for. 2 month old lab! Many thanks for the great communication and pictures throughout the day. Honestly, just perfect and I can put to rest any concerns I have leaving Shelby when necessary.”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life, and helped two of my dogs cross over the rainbow bridge when they got cancer. I have basic experience with injections and first aid for dogs and cats. I love all dogs of all sizes! Even the high maintenance ones! I just moved here from Washington DC where I did part time dog overnights. I also currently live in The Grand community! I teach remotely three days a week, which allows me to be home and present throughout the day. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, as I already prioritize daily walks and staying active (I aim for over 10,000 steps each day). I’m happy to have your dog as my walking companion and include them in my structured, consistent schedule. Your pet will not be left alone for long periods and will receive steady attention, exercise, and companionship. I provide reliable, attentive dog sitting and overnight care in a calm, safe environment. I stick closely to your dog’s normal routine—feeding, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and lots of affection—so they feel secure while you’re away. I’m experienced with different temperaments and prioritize clear communication, including daily updates and photos, so you always know your pup is happy, safe, and well cared for.
About: I have been taking care of pets of all kinds my entire life. I have always had dogs and cats in our home. Currently we have a Golden Retriever, Piper, and A long Haired Siamese, Kylo, in our home. Over the last 35 years we have had 5 Golden retrievers, sometimes multiple at once, and 4 cats. Dogs and Cats give me great pleasure and are ultra important in my life. If you are a dog and cat lover then you are my kind of people. I have just recently retired and this is the perfect gig for me. They get Walked, I get walked, They Play, I play, They get loved, I get loved. I have experience with puppies, kittens, Young dogs and senior dogs. Young cats, and senior cats. I will meet the needs of your fur family and take great care. Since I am retired now, I have full availability for you and your pets. Drop-In visits, feeding, potty breaks, play time, in-house sitting, or boarding in our home. Whatever your needs are, I am available. Give me a try. You will be very pleased. As I mentioned earlier, I have just recently retired and am a High energy completely dependable person for you and your pets. I am available at all times and days of the week. I'm perfect for this... We will develop a long term relationship so I can be there for you whenever you travel or need to be away. Your pets will get to know me and feel comfortable and won't stress when you are gone. I think it's important for pets to be in a place that they are familiar with in your home or my home. It's far better than taking them anywhere else. If friends are supposed to come over and take care of your babies, they may run over just before you get home and will not give you the care you hoped for. We know, as this has happened to us. Also, kennels are the worst. Never take them them there. I'm your guy and you will be very pleased with my service and attentiveness. Give me a try

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Sun City West
We had a great experience with Roger. He was able to accommodate a last minute booking with our two dogs which we truly appreciated. The communication was great and he always replied to messages very promptly. Our lab had a fun day of swimming and left with a new toy.

Sebastián and his family are magnificent. Gus thoroughly enjoyed his time. He was very calm and showed no stress like he sometimes does when he's leaving daycare. I know they played with him and fed him lots of treats and he went on good walks. This will be his home away from home as long as they're available.

Gabby did an amazing job making my pup feel right at home! She kept me updated throughout the day with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. Her communication was great, and my pup absolutely adored her. She’ll definitely be my go-to whenever I need someone to look after my pup! 🐶💕

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
