“I am so thankful for Cindy and her care of Roxy! I was so nervous to leave her while we went out of town, but Cindy was an expert at making Roxy welcomed and relaxed. With updates through the weekend, I knew Roxy was in great hands! Thank you again, Cindy!”

“Katherine was AMAZING with my doggos! She sent multiple pictures every day and provided updates about their walks, activities throughout the day, and their meal times. I could tell from the pictures that my dogs were so so happy the entire time Katherine cared for them. And her dog is so chill which really helped mine feel comfortable in her home. I will be using her again soon!!”

“Christina is so wonderful! She takes amazing care of our dog and loves her as if she were her own. We know that when we go on vacation our doggie is also on a sweet “vacation” of her own!”

“Tiffany was great! Planned a meet and greet with our pups before hand and booked right away. My pups are super high energy and she and her husband handled them so well, gave them lots of exercise. Got lots of photos/updates with my doggos looking super happy, too. Will definitely book again :)”

About: My husband and I have opposite schedule so there is somebody here all the time. I grew up on a small farm and have surrounded my self with animals my whole life. I am a nurse by trade and am skilled at caring for small humans and animals alike. I spend a lot of time with my own pets and take every opportunity to spend time with my friends’ pets as well. My husband managed a small rural pet store for many years. He is very knowledgeable on care of all different kinds of animals, and loves them too. I only work three days per week so I am home more than 50% of the time. Additionally my husband and I work opposite schedules to manage our young teenage daughter’s schedule, so there is always someone here. Our pets are a very prominent part of our lives but we have room in our hears and our home for more. I have a fully fenced yard and a pet door into the home that is always open. I have one friendly dog, a pig, two cats, and a hedgehog. The pets share our living space and are allowed on the furniture. I am a nurse by trade and am skilled at caring for humans and animals.

“Clara has taken good care of our dog for us. She has been accommodating with time scheduling as well. We appreciate her flexibility. Thanks Clara.”

“Ellacia was amazing to work with! She helped ease any anxieties I had with boarding my dog for the week. She was informative and helpful and very prompt in her response. I received daily photos, videos, and updates about my dog while she was there. She kept her plenty busy with activities, attention, and outdoor time. I was very happy with the service and care she provided!”

“Kristi was amazing with our dog Bella! She was communicative, sent daily updates and pics, and was very flexible and understanding of our schedules. We felt completely at ease the whole 7 days. She has a beautiful home and huge backyard where my dog had so much fun. We even got Bella back bathed and smelling amazing! I would definitely book again with her!”

“They were so great taking care of Mars for the month I was away. I could tell Mars was happy. I appreciated the text and video updates too! I would definitely book them to take care of Mars again in the future.”

“I trust that my dog was taken care right based on how my dog was upon pick up and body language. She seemed her normal happy self and had once home she had no different habits. I met Bryana before dropping of my dog, her home is perfect for all my dogs needs. She was attentive to all i was telling her about my dog and recalled it all. I also got a good gut feeling about her which was important to me before dropping off my dog. She was also transparent about the schedule. During the stay i received a pic a day. I do wish i received more pics and videos to kind of get a sense of what my dog was doing but i also didn’t set that expectation with Bryanna which is why I’m not taking stars off for that. I’d say set up that expectation beforehand. Other than that i have nothing negative to say. I’d definitely use her again.”

“Kim was an absolute dream for our first time leaving our 6 month old pup! Her entire family is so accommodating & loving on any pup that enters her home! They truly treated our pup as if he was theirs & constantly sent multiple updates with pictures which warmed my worried heart! I will definitely be bringing my pup back when we leave town next & know he will be in the best & most caring hands!”

“Kimberley and Deanna are fabulous, kind, experienced and knowledgeable. They have worked with many rescues so they have worked with many animals who aren’t your typical house pets, and know how to handle problems if they come up. My kitty baby was an abused rescue and after meeting them I was confident he would be safe with them. First time in 8 years he has left my home. So rather traumatic. He’s back now and sailed thru with flying colors due to their care. I can solidly recommend them. Rover, the company I’m fairly peeved with. My registering had a problem that I was up the entire night attempting to solve. The computer was actually more helpful than the people I attempted to use chat with who only kept repeating the same rote phrase that didn’t solve anything and took several hours for the first reply. Rover has absolutely no way to directly contact a live person by phone when a critical problem is not being solved. I Had to have my cat settled by 7 am or I would have no place to put him safely in this very warm heat while management bombed the apartment complex. Rover has some work to do on customer service backup when their rote systems don’t work. This was NOT a fun experience not to mention tinged with desperation and no time left for alternative solutions after I had list my previous solution at the last minute.”
“Rocky and I are so grateful for Van! She took great care of my boy while I was on vacation. She sent plenty of pictures and communicated with me very well. I think Rocky enjoyed his stay either her very much, and I felt comfortable leaving my boy in her care.”

“EXCEPTIONAL! This is our second time having Alondra board Maggie. This time though was last minute and an emergency. Alondra was available and made Maggie feel at home. The photos she sent were proof Maggie was safe and sound based on the smiles on her face! We went from desperate to peaceful with the safe setting Alondra provides and the loving care she has while caring for our sweet Maggie. THANK YOU!”

“Honestly I can’t think of enough kind words to say about Crystal & Family! They took my Saint into their home as if he’d been there forever. I’ve used Rover only a handful of times but dealing with Crystal made me a customer always. Thank you so very much, you guys are amazing and may all the blessings come your way”
“Gabriela was an excellent sitter - Milo was instantly comfortable with her, and was clearly pampered during his stay. She was a great communicator and sent us several pictures every day of our fur baby. We will use her again.”

“We are very happy with Kyleigh and Dylan’s care for our pup. She is very comfortable at their home and I can tell she receives lots of love. We love seeing multiple daily pictures and even videos! We are so appreciative to have a great place to send our pup when we travel”

Katherine looked after my boys for a second time and was AMAZING again! My doggos looked so happy in the many pictures I received during their stay with Katherine. I was always updated on how they were doing and I had full trust in Katherine taking great care of my dogs!!

Emily was fantastic with our dog, Birdie! She kept us updated throughout the stay with pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It made our trip out of town completely stress free! It was clear Birdie was happy, exercised, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. Emily was reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. We wouldn't hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter. Don't ever change Emily! You're a total Rockstar!! We're extremely happy to have found you! Thanks again for everything!

Jade was phenomenal with my daughter's cat Robin. My daughter was moving to AZ from California and as we were going back and forth between states, we needed an extended stay for Robin. Jade was able to extend from one week to one month no problem!!! She made Robin feel comfortable and loved during her stay. We appreciate you so much Jade and will come back when we need a sitter, as well as recommend her to friends and family.

Another happy weekend retreat for my 13 y/o Brussels Griffon mix, Avi. He loves spending time ant her house and I have complete confidence that Cassie cares for my boy as if he were her own, including giving him his 2X daily insulin injections. I highly recommend Cassie.

Maria was super responsive and I really appreciated how much she cared for our boy's wellbeing, as well as making sure he didn't fall into any bad habits that we've been trying to curb at home. Our boy tends to have a bit of anxiety at new homes, but he seemed to have settled in relatively quickly thanks to Maria, and he came home a happy boy!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
