“We had a wonderful experience with Sarah! She took great care of our dog, Louie and gave us peace of mind while we were away. We loved getting regular updates and pictures. We would absolutely book with her again!”

“We love having Kayla watch our senior kitty, Oberon for us when we're away. She takes excellent care of him and with each visit he's been letting his personality show a little bit more, so we know he likes and trusts her too!”

“Richard is so awesome!! I have two dogs, one is super shy and he handled her so well. I am so excited i found a sweet reliable source. Will be using Richard again and highly recommend him for sitting!”

“Watched our big boy rottweiler this past weekend and we could'nt be more happy with the service we recieved from her. She was so attentive and kept us updated and gave our boy lots of love. We will definitely use her again!”

“We are SO lucky to have found Kim and her family to watch our senior Pom-terrier, Felix!! From our initial meet and greet to the booking, they took exceptional care making sure our dog felt comfortable in a new space. We also loved the great photos and updates. Felix truly looked like he became part of the family during our time away! Looking forward to having Felix celebrate the holidays with Kim and her family next month.”

“Ashley and Kenney were terrific with Chuck during the holidays and even treated him with some Christmas gifts! I would never hesitate leaving Chuck with them again!”

“William is great! My dogs absolutely love it there. I think they even like it more than their own home. Great care for the animals and a great space for them to play. Overall 10 of 10 rating! Can't wait to take the dogs back!”

“David made us feel comfortable from the start. We did a meet and greet ahead of time to make sure our dogs got along, which I really appreciated. His communication was stellar both leading up to and during Torpedo’s stay. I always get a little nervous leaving Torpedo with someone new, but David sent frequent updates on feeding and acclimation, along with lots of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. He truly went above and beyond by taking Torpedo on a “senior walk” since he can’t keep up with the other dogs. It meant a lot that David made sure he still got his daily walks, it's Torpedo's favorite part of the day. I’m so grateful for that extra care. I can’t recommend David enough.”

“Megan was absolutely wonderful and took amazing care of our family’s favorite little guy! She was quick to respond, sent us thoughtful daily updates, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. She was also patient and understand of Dalton’s separation anxiety, and provided him with us all his daily medication. The greenery around her home is beautiful - I’m sure our pup loved his walks there. Thank you so much, Megan, for taking such great care of him!”

“Richette was able to help out last minute and was great with Hailey. She sent regular updates and pictures, and Hailey was very well taken care of during the whole stay. I would highly recommend for anyone. Thank you, Richette!”

“Lacey was great with an incredible back yard for Louie. She and her family were very welcoming to Louie and I felt Louie was getting great care with Lacey and her family.”

“Heather was so wonderful and patient with my dog, who can act out a little when I'm not there! She went above and beyond by giving my dog a bath, washing her bed, getting her a little kennel to stay in, and taking pictures everyday to let me know how my dog was doing! Heather was flexible with timing as well, which was necessary because my flight back into town kept getting delayed! She was an excellent resources to have in Scottsdale for when I needed someone to watch my dog and I would highly recommend!”

“The best! Thanks Katherine for keeping me up to date on Bailey during my trip. As always, a great place for my dog to hang with friends while I out of town. You rock!”

“I can’t say enough amazing things about Briony. She truly loved our babies like her own. She was great about giving us very thorough updates and she loved taking pictures of them just as much as we do! I don’t think I’ll trust another sitter the way I trust Briony. Our pups came home happy and exhausted from how much fun they had. We are so grateful for you!”

“Amber was amazing. Her home was lovely and I felt very comfortable with Duke staying there. Amber was responsive and attentive to every need and/or question that I had. You will not be disappointed having Amber care for your pet. Thank you Amber for taking such great care of Duke.”

“Gabriela was great with my shih tzu, Brody! She accommodated a very last minute trip I had and was super responsive with my inquiry and throughout his stay!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Paradise Valley
Alexandra is the BEST! I cannot say enough good things about her! She came through for me when I was in a panic searching for a sitter at the very last minute. She took in my Peppa girl and treated her like her own without any hesitation. She was sweet, communicative, and best of all Peppa loved her!! My pup felt like she was right at home and I couldn’t ask for anything more. I could enjoy my time away without worrying about my only child (lol). Thank you Alexandra!

Kim and her family were simply terrific. I had a last minute need and was able to book with them. I have a senior small dog who doesn’t usually spend time around strangers so I was a little apprehensive in general, but it could not have gone better. I will absolutely be repeating if the need arises, it was by far the best pet-sitting experience both the dog and I have ever had.

Jackie is a terrific petsitter. She had my “princess” for about two weeks. I received photos everyday and could see how happy Amber looked. Amber has a serious health issue requiring medication several times daily and Jackie kept a chart to keep track of the meds during the day. Amber also has a couple idiosyncrasies about eating and Jackie handled those also. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you, Jackie for giving me peace of mind while I traveled.

Mackenzie and Austin took really great care of my dog during her stay. She seemed happy and well cared for when I picked her up, which gave me peace of mind. They were responsive and easy to communicate with, and I appreciated receiving photos during her stay. I would definitely leave my dog with them again and would recommend them.

Highly recommend Tiffany to take care of your pup while you're away! She was a great communicator while setting up a meet and greet, understanding my and Maple's preferences before booking and provided a lot of updates while watching her. Tiffany was easy to work with when figuring out logistics and was thoughtful about accommodating her and my schedules for drop off and pick up. Maple was happy to see me when I came to pick her up, but after the initial excitement, she went right back to hanging out in her spot in the living room, which gives me great confidence that she was happy and well cared for the whole time.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
