About: Your dog will enjoy companionship, loving routines, and lots of affection throughout their stay, so you can fully relax and enjoy your getaway knowing they’re being cared for like one of our own. Dogs truly become part of our family life while they’re here! We work from home, so your pup is with us and around people, attention, and companionship all day long. We love getting to know each dog’s unique personality and do our best to keep their routine as close as possible to what they enjoy at home. A printed care sheet is always appreciated so we can provide the most personalized experience possible. One of the things our clients love most is that dogs are not left alone. Around the clock supervision is simply part of how we care for our guests. Whether your dog loves belly rubs, lounging nearby while we work, playing with friends, or simply being close to people, they will have plenty of love, attention, and interaction throughout the day. My goal is for your dog to feel safe, happy, loved, and completely at home from the moment they arrive until the moment you return. We want you to enjoy your time away with total peace of mind, knowing your pup is having a wonderful vacation of their own! 🐾❤️☀️ Your dog becomes part of my family life and is enjoys companionship throughout the day! During the summer months, routines are thoughtfully adjusted for Arizona heat and comfort. During the warmer parts of the day, dogs enjoy briefer shaded outdoor breaks, indoor relaxation, playtime, cuddles, and calm companionship. Walks are done only during cooler morning and evening hours, with shaded outdoor breaks during the day to avoid overheating and hot pavement. Fresh ice water, cool indoor spaces, and rest periods are always available. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and emotional well-being are always my highest priority. I create a calm, supervised environment where dogs are carefully cared for as part of the family. I pay close attention to each dog’s personality, energy level, routines, and comfort needs so they feel secure and settled while away from home. Whether your dog is playful, cuddly, social, or prefers a quieter environment, I create a safe and supportive experience that helps them relax and feel at ease. I also prioritize secure transitions in and out of the home, supervised outdoor time, and consistent communication so you can feel confident your dog is in loving, attentive hands throughout their stay.
“Kayla treated Duke like us! She played with him, cuddled with him, took him on long walks every day, paid attention to his eating and health, and sent us photo updates. Kayla is a gem! Duke will be going back to Kayla’s whenever we travel!”

“Richard was delightful to book with. He was incredibly flexible with our booking when we went to the hospital to have our baby, and was super responsive throughout the stay. Our dog seemed to have a great time as well! We would not hesitate to book again.”

“I left Whiskey for the first time with a dog-sitter and I could not have been happier with our experience with Kim. She was so kind with my boy, sent me the best updates and pictures, and made sure he was comfortable the entire time. She watched out for his eating and played all his favorite games with him. If you’re looking for a dog sitter, look no further, you’ve found the best there is. I will be reaching out to Kim any time I need to leave Whiskey in the future!”

“We were worried about leaving our dog with someone but William did a great job. There were other dogs for Cheyenne to play with (which she loves), room to run, and a small pool to swim in. They were great in keeping us informed and sent pictures so we weren’t too worried. Lots of play time and cared for like she was their own.”

“Dixie loves her stay at David’s! She’s always excited to get out the car and get inside! We know she is well taken care of and David is the BEST with communication and updates!! Highly recommended!!”
“Megan was absolutely wonderful and took amazing care of our family’s favorite little guy! She was quick to respond, sent us thoughtful daily updates, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. She was also patient and understand of Dalton’s separation anxiety, and provided him with us all his daily medication. The greenery around her home is beautiful - I’m sure our pup loved his walks there. Thank you so much, Megan, for taking such great care of him!”

“Thomasine was a fantastic find as a sitter for our dog Molly. Molly clearly felt comfortable and happy there, as seen by the photos we’d receive while away. Thomasine has a great yard for the dogs to play and took Molly on a nice long all every morning- just what she needs. We will be back. Thank you!!”

“Richette was able to help out last minute and was great with Hailey. She sent regular updates and pictures, and Hailey was very well taken care of during the whole stay. I would highly recommend for anyone. Thank you, Richette!”

“Heather was great to me! I had the best time she kept me well groomed, and I would love to go back and stay. She even let me sleep in her bed with her since I asked nicely. -Beaux”

“Katherine and her family are the sweetest dog sitters in Arcadia! I reached out to her and she met me the same day for a meet and greet- followed by a tour of her home. She has a fenced in yard (with grass!), two attentive children, and a large/open house. The whole family was accommodating when I needed to extend my stay and worked around my vacation. I got sweet pictures of Harriet and Rexie (their adorable puppy) daily, along with sweet status updates. I highly recommend this family- you get FOUR great baby-sitters and one great doggy play date. Thank you, Katherine!”

“Lacey was great! Huge grassy yard and a dog friendly home. She was very responsive and checked in and sent pics several times throughout my puppy’s weekend stay. It was my puppy’s first overnight and she did great and came back happy.”

About: My husband and I had animals in our homes growing up. Currently we have a senior cat who keeps to herself. Our family would love to walk, feed, and care for your dog. We will provide lots of attention and cuddles. I am a stay at home mom, my husband works from home part-time, and our two daughters are homeschooled. We are able to be around the home often. Our girls are home 3 days a week plus the weekends and are looking forward to helping to care for your dog.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Paradise Valley
Alexandra is the BEST! I cannot say enough good things about her! She came through for me when I was in a panic searching for a sitter at the very last minute. She took in my Peppa girl and treated her like her own without any hesitation. She was sweet, communicative, and best of all Peppa loved her!! My pup felt like she was right at home and I couldn’t ask for anything more. I could enjoy my time away without worrying about my only child (lol). Thank you Alexandra!

Kim and her family were simply terrific. I had a last minute need and was able to book with them. I have a senior small dog who doesn’t usually spend time around strangers so I was a little apprehensive in general, but it could not have gone better. I will absolutely be repeating if the need arises, it was by far the best pet-sitting experience both the dog and I have ever had.

Jackie is a terrific petsitter. She had my “princess” for about two weeks. I received photos everyday and could see how happy Amber looked. Amber has a serious health issue requiring medication several times daily and Jackie kept a chart to keep track of the meds during the day. Amber also has a couple idiosyncrasies about eating and Jackie handled those also. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you, Jackie for giving me peace of mind while I traveled.

Mackenzie and Austin took really great care of my dog during her stay. She seemed happy and well cared for when I picked her up, which gave me peace of mind. They were responsive and easy to communicate with, and I appreciated receiving photos during her stay. I would definitely leave my dog with them again and would recommend them.

Highly recommend Tiffany to take care of your pup while you're away! She was a great communicator while setting up a meet and greet, understanding my and Maple's preferences before booking and provided a lot of updates while watching her. Tiffany was easy to work with when figuring out logistics and was thoughtful about accommodating her and my schedules for drop off and pick up. Maple was happy to see me when I came to pick her up, but after the initial excitement, she went right back to hanging out in her spot in the living room, which gives me great confidence that she was happy and well cared for the whole time.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
