“David is actually the original Dog Whisperer or he was a dog in a previous life! He shows so much love to each pet in his care. He teaches while he cares for them. Thank you David!”

“Our senior mutt, Roxie (11.5yrs) went to Will’s for the first time for daycare while we were moving. Walked right in when Michelle greeted her. The place is so well kept. When we picked her up, she was happy & content. We will definitely be taking her back here again. Thank you for the photos, also!”

“Shahla is awesome. She looked after our 8-month French bulldog puppy for the very first time, and everything went very well. She shared photos with us and clearly knows how to treat dogs. She has the knowkedge and experience, and our dog had a great time at her house with her dogs. We are very much looking forward using her service again.”

“Remi (dog) has stayed with Jenifer three times now and we fully trust her family to give him a safe and fun environment. I really appreciate the photos and videos Jenifer sends - my Remi is always having a blast!”

“Charinee was fantastic caretaker of our puppies, while we were visiting the area. Pups had fun playing with Stacie too. Highly recommend the service!!”

“Katherine was AMAZING! Elvis came home soooooo happy and so sleepy from all the fun he had at her house. I will definitely reach out again the next time we are in the area!”

“We were so pleased to find Krista to watch our boy, Sedona. She took excellent care of him and kept us consistently updated during their time together. Her communication—before, during, and after—was outstanding and gave us great peace of mind. We would highly recommend her and look forward to connecting with her again when we’re back in the area.”

About: ***LOOKING TO TAKE ON NEW CLIENTS*** I love caring for dogs and have years of experience including dog walking, overnight stays, and much more! I’m good at understanding dog’s behaviors, triggers, and catering to their needs. I have a work from home job that allows me a ton of flexibility for mornings, during the day, and evenings to help take care of your pets. Please feel free to reach out with any other questions I do live in an apartment complex so small to midsize would be well suited to stay the night here. I would be more than happy to do a meet and greet so that you feel comfortable with where your pet is staying. Of course I am more than happy to send photos and videos throughout the stay.

“Justin abs his wife were amazing! They made sure our second doggy day care experience was good and sent updates whenever we asked. I would recommend them to anyone in the area.”

About: My husband and I had animals in our homes growing up. Currently we have a senior cat who keeps to herself. Our family would love to walk, feed, and care for your dog. We will provide lots of attention and cuddles. I am a stay at home mom, my husband works from home part-time, and our two daughters are homeschooled. We are able to be around the home often. We have a fenced in yard with lots of space to run and play. We will happily follow instructions for crating the dog when we are away from home. Our girls are home 3 days a week plus the weekends and are looking forward to helping to care for your dog.
“Marina took great care of our puppy Boston for the day and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was communicative, attentive, and clearly very comfortable around dogs. Boston came home happy, tired, and well cared for — always a great sign. You can tell Marina genuinely enjoys spending time with the dogs she watches and gives them plenty of attention and activity. We really appreciated the peace of mind knowing Boston was in good hands. Would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend Marina to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

About: Hi! 👋🏻 My name is Olivia, I’ve been with the Rover community for about 4 years now, but Happy Dog House Calls is where it all started. I joined the Rover community to meet new families who might need my pet sitting/house sitting services! I work with a wide variety of pets, not limited to just dogs and cats. I welcome most pets, including farm animals and complete farm care, as well as trained service animals. I'm more than happy to care for all of your furry or not so furry family members! I have a regular clientele of pets who have special needs, pets who experience anxiety or separation anxiety, some who are deaf or blind, others who are elderly, have injuries or health issues. These special needs sweethearts are always welcome on my schedule. My entire life I’ve had a passion for animals, so much so I’ve made it my career. I mean, who doesn’t want to spend all their time with animals!? I'm looking for opportunities to fulfill my passion, this is where you and your family come in! Upon scheduling, I will request a “Meet & Greet” at your home, which is required before any services are rendered. This gives your pet and I the opportunity to meet and get to know each other, this also lets your baby get familiar with my scent so I’m not a stranger entering your home. During this time we will go over your pets routine, any rules (whether they rule the house or you do, I’m here for it all), you can also show me around your home and go over any special instructions or medications. This is the ideal time to give me a key or code to enter (should we decide to work together). This visit is of course no charge. A little bit about each service: Walks- 30 min walk. Your choice of leisure walks with lots of sniffing and exploring (your dogs version of reading the morning news paper or as I call it, checking “Peemails”) or focused, brisk walks for exercise and winding down. Please have a leash and harness or collar, that fits correctly with no rips or tears. *Clients who are seeking my walking services, once the temperature reaches 84° I will not be available for walks, unless the morning or evening temp is at or under 84°, which I can walk with them then. The asphalt is too hot and heat stroke is a risk at that temperature. Exceptions are made for potty walks as long as there is shade. Drop-in Visits- 30 minute visit includes: Playtime, snuggles, feeding, medication administration, walking, potty breaks and treats. House sitting- 3 different options to choose from (please include which option will work best with your family in the initial booking request): Option 1. Overnight only- $150 1st dog (Additional dog $25): Arriving at your home around 9pm (8pm available) staying the night until around 6am the next morning. Includes plant watering, bringing in the mail, putting trash cans out and some other household duties. Option 2. Overnight with a mid day drop-in- $175 1st dog (Additional dog $25): Includes all of option 1, plus a drop-in visit midday for potty breaks, play and snuggles. Option 3. Daytime & Overnight stay- $250 1st dog (Additional dog $25): Includes all of options 1 & 2, plus coming and going throughout the rest of the day. *For Rover Holiday dates & puppy care, inquire about pricing ‼️Please include which house sitting option you’d like in your initial booking request‼️ I am available full time, early mornings, mid-days, late nights, even overnight stays, any length of stay, be it one day or 6 months long, this is my only job, allowing me to cater to you and your pets needs. I am willing to be as flexible as possible to make your time away from your pets 110% stress free for all of you. My availability is wide open, including most holidays (book early as these dates fill up fast) and some last minute requests. Same day bookings are available for walks and drop-ins, I typically require a 7 day notice for all bookings, but life can be unpredictable, so I offer same day bookings for an extra charge. Same day bookings are an additional $5. you will see this as an "Additional Charge" on your Rover invoice. ‼️THE ROVER APP HAS A GLITCH, THEIR CALENDAR FOR ME IS NOT CORRECT, PLEASE SEND A REQUEST EVEN IF IT SAYS THAT I AM UNAVAILABLE, AS I AM MOST LIKELY AVAILABLE‼️ I am also able to travel with you and your pet family for any vacation needs. I can drive your pets should flying not be an option. Please inquire further for this service. Safety always comes first. Absolutely trust that all of my attention will be on your pets for the entirety of the stay. This gives me the opportunity to give you a detailed update on your pets during our visit (I will write these updates during the visit, as well as taking pictures). Each visit I will send over the 4-6 photos I took of each pet as well as the detailed update I wrote. Your home as well as your pets, will be treated with the utmost respect, I will treat them like they are my own. I’m very cautious of making sure gates, pool gates and locks are always secured for your pet and homes safety. Speaking of safety, security cameras are not just acceptable, they are encouraged, for your piece of mind as well as in case of an emergency, typically I can be to your home within minutes if you see something concerning.
About: Hi, we’re Zach and Maddie! We are true dog lovers! We both grew up with dogs our whole lives and have cared for many others through friends, family, and other clients. That means we’re comfortable with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, ages, personalities, and of course, their favorite scratch spots. We genuinely love being around dogs and miss having them in our daily lives—which is the reason we started Rover! Since we both live together and work from home, your dog gets double the care, attention, and supervision throughout the day—basically 2-for-1 pet care! This also means your dog will rarely, if ever, be left alone during their stay. We live in a spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bath home with a backyard in Scottsdale 85251. We provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, cuddles, and care based on your dog’s routine. We’re reliable, communicative, and always send photos and updates. We’ll treat your pet like our own and make sure they feel right at home! :) We both work from home, so at any given time there’s almost always at least one of us home. Your dog will get plenty of attention and will rarely, if ever, be left alone! All dogs are welcome to hang out wherever they like—whether that’s on the couch, sleeping with us in bed, or anywhere else they feel comfortable! We also have a spacious fenced backyard with a grass area. We keep our home nice and cool, especially during the summer, so you never have to worry about your dog overheating.
“Such a nice family! Very nice home and perfectly set up for dogs to play and hang out. So glad to meet Zach, Dani, Luna and another day care attendee, Robbie. We can tell Maya had a fun day. She is smiling and ready to relax.”

“Alexandra is the best! She’s friendly, communicative and responsive, and super flexible when we had to adjust the pick up time! We could tell Gelato had a great time and felt like home staying with her. We’ll definitely be booking with Alexandra again!”

About: Hi There! We have a 3 year old daughter and a 3 years old golden doodle. I’d love to have your dog over for day care or overnights while you travel. I work from home, we have a nice little yard and I am a dog person through and through. I had a dog for 14 yrs that passed in 2020 who was a shelter rescue with fear aggression. I learned a lot in that lifetime about reading a dogs body language and anticipating their needs. My doodle is extremely friendly and loves other dogs. I will need to be pretty restrictive about dog temperament for pups that stay with us bc of my toddler; I can only watch dogs that are known to be good with small children. I understand this is very limiting. I’m doing this more for the love of dogs than as a job. I appreciate your understanding if this just isn’t a fit due to our needs. I have experience training puppies and caring for seniors. I work from home and take my guy out for a walk most afternoons. I am mostly available. I am extremely reliable, if I commit to watching your pup, I will not let you down. We have a 3yr old golden doodle and a 3yr old human toddler. We have a secure fenced yard with no pool. I am home 90% of the time : )
About: I grew up with dogs and have always had them in my life. I currently have a sweet rescue pup who’s always by my side. Since I work from home and go on daily walks, we have plenty of time, space, and love to care for another dog—ideally a small breed. Your pet will be in a calm, cozy environment with lots of cuddles, routine, and gentle care. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I work from home, so I’m always around to provide attention, cuddles, and consistent care. I start the day with a morning walk, followed by regular potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of downtime. Evenings include another walk and lots of snuggles. Since my own dog is part of this routine, caring for another pet fits in seamlessly and joyfully. In my home, pets are treated like family. They’ll have a calm, safe environment with plenty of attention and affection. I follow each pet’s routine closely—feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and rest—just like they’re used to at home. I’m also happy to give updates and photos for peace of mind.
“You WILL not find a more loving family to have your pup stay with!!! Maksim will 100% be back to Christina. Thank you again for making his stay so warm and loving!!”

“Used Charlie again, Ethan was actually excited when we pulled up to his house and was whining and jumping happily when we walked up the driveway. Seems like Ethan found a new hobby while he was there this time, digging for treasures in the backyard! I'm happy Ethan enjoyed himself again!”

We were so pleased to find Krista to watch our boy, Sedona. She took excellent care of him and kept us consistently updated during their time together. Her communication—before, during, and after—was outstanding and gave us great peace of mind. We would highly recommend her and look forward to connecting with her again when we’re back in the area.

My husband and I booked Lorinda for day care for our Cairn terrier, Sophie. Sophie can suffer from separation anxiety, but she was very comfortable with Lorinda and really enjoyed her stay. Lorinda was very caring and knowledgeable. We would book with Lorinda again.

Avery was awesome! Very friendly and loves the dogs! This was the first time we left pups with someone other than family. Avery sent regular updates and photos. The pups loved her! Thank you again! Definitely recommend Avery to watch your furry friends. When we pass through Phoenix again, will contact Avery again!!

Paige is such a wonderful pup host! She was very welcoming, her and Rocky made my pup feel at home while I was at work. She was very communicative about my pup, she took lots of pictures which eased any worries I had about him throughout the day. I hate being away from my dog and knowing he’s is good hands makes it easier.

Lee is a truly amazing dog sitter. Her place is absolutely spotless, but stashed away is a treasure trove of amazing dog toys!! She was so kind to us and the dogs. You can tell she really enjoys all of her clients and getting to know them. And she sent plenty of pictures and updates!!! We felt very confident that the dogs were safe and having a great time. I am so glad we found her to watch our babies.❤️

Shahla was absolutely wonderful with my dogs for Doggy Day Care! She was incredibly flexible with scheduling, highly professional, and kept me updated throughout the day with great communication. I could tell my dogs were happy, well-cared-for, and comfortable in her hands. I truly appreciate her reliability and the peace of mind she provided. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Paradise Valley commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,548 sitters in Paradise Valley, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
