I'm new to the area and was looking for someone to watch Koda. Gina is awesome! The pictures are adorable and Koda passed out hard on the way home. She can't wait for her next visit. 🐶

Laree and Keith were amazing sitters. We initially booked our dogs stay with another sitter. Unfortunately, that didn’t go through so we booked a last minute day care with Laree and Keith. We are so glad and very thankful that they were available and able to accommodate our requests. Our dogs had a great time and we highly recommend this sitter. Thank you again for the last minute booking!

About: I’ve had pets growing up. Up to 3 dogs at a time, cats and small caged animals as well. I have also pet sat for neighbors and family for up to 2 weeks at a time. I am currently doing online school and work a night life part time job. Therefore I’ll be home with your pets all days until 9pm- 2am. Other than that I am free time give my love and attention to the animals in my home. I have a small fenced yard and two sweet dogs of my own to keep your babies company. My dogs are crate trained and remain in there when I am not home, therefore your pets will be safe if there is no immediate supervision.

About: I absolutely adore animals and have been working with them for as long as I can remember. I worked in an animal shelter for years, and I am currently an animal care specialist with marine animals. I currently own 3 dogs, and adventuring with them is my favorite way to make beautiful memories! I have fostered many cats from bottle baby kittens, to hospice seniors. I also own 2 horses that take me on awesome adventures through the desert. I look forward to meeting your pets! I do work from home, so I can fit in drop ins and walks! I can also take certain dogs for boarding at my home, and will be home with them most of every day :) I have a fenced in yard and 3 other friendly dogs. I prefer your dog be crate trained so they can be left separately when unattended.

Michelle was fantastic with Max, my 17-year-old dog. Max has separation anxiety, but he seemed calm when I left him and he was taking a nap when I picked him up. He even came back clean and brushed! I will definitely be leaving Max with Michelle any time I am in the area and need a dog-sitter.

Fantastic! That’s what Shelly is, fantastic. You can tell she knows exactly what she is doing, and that only comes with experience. I’m so appreciative of her willingness to communicate and I know she is being honest. Her set up and process is perfect. She’s accommodating and a wonderful caretaker. As her profile says, your pup really is apart of the family. I’m just so thankful I found her here. Truly thankful!

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and love having them around. There is nothing like the unconditional love of a dog! People say I’m the dog whisperer because they just seem to like me. I’m retired so I’m home. I do puzzles and reading and I really enjoy the company of dogs, walking them helps me get my steps in. I can take care of feeding and walking dogs. I do live in an apt and walk my dog 4 times a day, so they would get plenty of exercise and lots of hugs!

We needed someone to watch our 7 year old German Shepherd during the day while I went off and played old man baseball. Kelly turned out to be perfect. Very flexible and didn’t require any of these meet and greets a number of Rover sitters want. Being from out of town that never works. She sent pictures and videos four the four days we used her. Can’t really say much more she seemed to like him and he came back a tired pup. Good Job!!!

Courtney took my dog 🐕 in as a first time visitor on short notice. My normally shy dog seemed to trust and warm up to her and her dogs very quickly. I got great updates throughout the day and Lucy returned to me happy in the evening. I would definitely leave Lucy here again.

About: Hello! I go by kaidan and I have helped foster and care for over 100+ pets in my own home! Growing up I was always an animal lover and I would bring in strays to rehome them safely. I love animals and watching yours would be an honor! I do work a part time job and run a small business so I mainly do pet care in my free time or on trips. I love to meet new furry friends and helping out. My kitties are very friendly and love to make new friends too. I care for all pets of any kind in either my home or yours!

About: I have helped several friends and family members pet sit; and train their dogs. I absolutely adore animals. Specifically dogs and cats. I have experience with all ages, breeds, and sizes. I have rescued many dogs, and some in horrible conditions bringing them back to life with extra care and attention. If I could rescue, help, and love every dog and cat. I would. 🙏💕 I am a caregiver as my primary job, and it is very flexible schedule. I am able to be home a lot when needed. I have a big heart, patient, observant, and detailed oriented. I am able to administer medications and injections as needed. I know each of my dogs have specific needs and regimens. So I would give your babies the same love and attention to their needs. I live in a large home with a yard that is fenced in. It is a 8ft brick wall all the way around. I have the capability of having your dogs kennel and necessary things in my home in their own space, or they can be together with my pups. Anything is possible! I am very flexible to cater to the needs of your babies 🩷 Treat others how you would want to be treated. In other words I would treat your babies how I would want mine to be treated, and mine are spoiled 😂🥰 I am currently am a caregiver for the elderly, about 3-4 days a week. I am scheduled for 4-5hrs at a time. No more than twice a day. I have a lot of extra time to be with your babies and love on them. ❤️ I treat them as my own babies. I make sure that they are taken care of and all the needs that they have are met. I want them to feel comfortable in their environment and feel like an extended family member is taking care of them while you are away. They will be played with, exercised, fed, and able to take care of business outside every 4-5 hrs a day

About: Im a 40 year old professional in the dental field who has had animals my entire life. I have had dogs and exotics such as an iguana for 10 years which I potty trained and formulated a diet for him. I am BLS certified and have even helped work at a groomers for a brief time. In which I learned how to do CPR on animals. I have a prior degree in biology and a great understanding for animal psychology. I am not a professional in training but have acquired many skills throughout the years to help and aide in the development and routine to train animals. I prefer dogs and will accept exotics. I am limited in space and resources so I only accept one only dog at this time to board or house sit. I have a dog park on the premises which i frequent daily. If you want your pet to be treated like family I'm the person your looking for. Im reliable, kind hearted, good spirited and loyal. I currently work 10 days per month as a dental lab technician. I fly across the USA doing dental implants. I am paid salary and have a ton like 20 days per month available to house or pet sit. I put my military training of service before self as primary focus. When I'm in your home I treat it and your animal with the love and respect you deserve. I go above and beyond for you and your animal by addressing your needs. This is why meet and great is preferred so I get to know your fur baby.

Nicole watched Pepperjac as a puppy for some time and then we needed a sitter again a specific week months later. Pepperjac recognized the neighborhood and got so excited to be back with Nicole. We know she is taken care of, happy and safe during her stay. Great communication and updates as well. We appreciate you Nicole.

Jerron took great care of our two dogs while we were visiting Mesa and was very quick in responding to my last minute request. I think my boys were couch potatoes the whole day, but that tells me they were comfortable there and were able to get some respite from our travels. We will book with Jarron again next time we need a sitter in Mesa!

Paige was incredible with my anxious, high-energy little guy. He’s been fearful of grass, but she encouraged him and he had his very first brave yard adventure! Seeing the happy photos she sent meant everything. He’s also very cuddly, and she gave him all the snuggles he needed. I felt completely at ease the whole time. He was safe, loved, and so well cared for. Paige has a beautiful home, a beautiful yard and is very communicative. Highly recommend!

Lily seemed to have lots of fun in Daejahs beautiful yard! And also enjoyed lots of comfy couch cuddles. I was not worried at all while Lily was in her care. Sent lots of cute pictures and videos of Lily chasing birds outside too! She was also very flexible with pick up times since my husbands job is very unpredictable. We appreciated the flexibility. Would definitely book again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Mesa on Rover is $37.38 per day (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

As of September 2026, there are 2,467 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Mesa. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Mesa commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,467 sitters in Mesa, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
