“Cindy is fantastic. Our dog spent a few workdays while one of us was traveling, and he clearly felt comfortable and happy while at the same time Cindy provided a structured, calm, and enriching environment for him. He got walks and puzzles and even another dog friend to play with on occasion. Cindy was very patient, attentive, and kind. She has an excellent confident demeanor and establishes boundaries effectively and naturally with the pups. I would recommend Cindy in a heartbeat.”
“Definitely would recommend!!! My Daisy is very attached to me and has never been in someone else's care. The 2nd day when she got out of car she ran up to the door and couldn’t wait to dart in not even looking back at me. I got several updates & photos throughout the day. Will be booking with Christian & Hana again!”

“We love Alex! Our Lily gets so excited when we pull up to Alex's home--she literally pulls us to the door! We are impressed with how knowledgeable and helpful Alex has been with sharing techniques to help correct bad puppy habits. We have found Alex to be reliable and she genuinely cares for Lily as if she were her own. We could not ask for a better caregiver for our pup!”

About: Hi, we’re Collette and Lyndon! We’re a husband-and-wife duo who genuinely love being around animals. We’ve both grown up with pets and have spent years caring for them—so it just feels second nature. We’re trained in pet CPR and first aid, and both work from home so we spend lots of time with your pet! We’re also just a few minutes from the Phoenix airport, which makes drop-offs super easy if you’re traveling. Heading out of town? You can swing by on your way to your flight, and know your pet is in great hands while you’re away. We live a healthy and active lifestyle and work remotely, therefore most of our time is available for caring for your pets. Our schedule is flexible, including weekends & some holidays. Schedule a meet and greet at your home/park, looking forward to meeting your furry friend! When caring for pets, whether in our own home or a client's home, we prioritize creating a safe, nurturing environment where they feel comfortable and loved. In our home, we ensure that pets have designated spaces to cater to their needs, whether it's cozy bedding, interactive toys, or access to secure outdoor areas for exercise and play. When caring for pets in a client's home, we maintain routines and environments that mimic their usual surroundings as closely as possible. In addition to basic needs, our training in CPR and first aid for pets ensures that we’re prepared to handle any medical emergencies, providing regular updates to pet owners and addressing any concerns promptly.
“Marisa was very gentle and kind to Winston, sending us lots of great photos as she took him on 2 walks during his brief stay with her. She is very responsive to inquiries and a pleasure to communicate with. We would certainly use her care again. Winston seemed very comfortable with Marisa, and she made him feel welcome by allowing him full access to the couch and the bed. Thank you, Marisa!”

“I got update pictures while Zuri was being cared by Kadeazana and family. She agreed to look after Zuri when I couldn’t come pick her up on time! Thank you very much!!”

“Dallas was perfect. He loved on my dog as soon as he saw her and sent me photos before I even got to my destination. He sent a lot of photos and a video and I could tell she felt right at home. Thanks Dallas. Mitzi will be excited to see you again. 😊”

About: Hello! My name is Andrea. I’ve been a pet sitter for over 5 years, and caring for pups is something I truly love and enjoy. Dogs have been a huge part of my life since I was a child, and I enjoy building trust and meaningful connections with every dog I care for. ❤️🐶 As a stay-at-home mom with a fully fenced yard, I’m able to provide plenty of attention, supervision, playtime, and potty breaks throughout the day. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while in my care. This September, I’ll be attending school to become a professional pet stylist. I’m excited to expand my knowledge of canine health, behavior, and grooming so I can provide even better care for the pets I work with. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, which is why I strive to provide dependable care, regular updates, and peace of mind while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! 🐶🐾🦮 I’m currently a stay-at-home mom, which allows me to be home for most of the day. This gives me plenty of time to provide attention, supervision, potty breaks, playtime, walks, and lots of affection throughout the day. I’ll make sure your pet will feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while they’re with me. Since I’m home often, your pet will receive plenty of companionship and won’t be left alone for long periods of time. We have a big fenced yard where your fur baby could play and get some fresh air. We also have plenty of space inside our home where they could play or take a nap in the couch 🐶
“Mia had a lovely day with John, Donna, and Leroy. We found ourselves in a terrible pinch when the previously arranged care situation for Mia fell through at the last minute. We so appreciate the last-minute willingness to help us out! Mia had a wonderful time playing with Leroy. Communication with John and Donna was great - including photos and a video! Mia slept just like a baby after her exciting day with Leroy. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our fur baby!”
About: I have a 9 year old French bulldog that I’ve had since he was a puppy. He’s a very needy dog and so I’m used to giving a lot of attention, walks, medicines, special diets etc… I am working from home just a couple hours a day, and those hours are flexible. I have a lot of time to care for dogs that need a lot of attention. I have a large fenced in backyard with real grass. My French bulldog is very chill and calm and loves other dogs. I take him on multiple walks a day. I also have a dog stroller to take elderly dogs on walks if needed. Dogs are allowed on the furniture, and I have dogs stairs and ramps for the furniture.

Whether it’s keeping up with energetic pups or making sure older dogs are comfortable and cared for, I’m here to help your pet feel safe and loved while you’re away. I work a regular 8–4 schedule, which leaves my evenings and nights free for pet care. That makes me a great fit for evening walks, playtime, feeding, or even overnight sitting. Since I’m home after work, I can give your pet plenty of attention, exercise, and care when they need it most. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
