This was our first time meeting Kayla and it went amazingly well. Usually Lexi takes some time to warm up to a new human, but Kayla knew exactly what to do to help her relax. It was a very calm meeting and I know my girl will be in very good hands. We will definitely be booking future walks and check-ins with her. Thank you, Kayla 😊

Bella was simply wonderful. From booking through her walk and hang with Rex, she was very communicative. Her summary notes were very thorough and she provided great insight into my little guy. I would 100% book again.

About: I have lived with animals since I was a young child. Growing up we often rescued young animals we found near our home. Currently I have one cat and 2 dogs which my husband and I treat like our own children. My family and friends know they can always rely on me to watch their pets and keep them safe and happy! As a retired nurse I have a considerate, compassionate nature. My 27 years as a nurse taught me the flexibilty and dedication that makes me an ideal pet sitter. I presently work for myself as an artist. My hours can adapt to the service needs of your animals. I work part time and have plenty of flexibility for your pets needs. I am always willing to follow any special instructions since I have many years of experience caring for my own pets. I treat your pets environment with the care and consideration that will keep them safe and comfortable. I understand they may be anxious meeting a new caretaker so I would be extra patient as they get to know me.

About: I took care of my families goldendoodle in Wisconsin and miss her very much as I am now located in Arizona to attend law school (I graduated this past May). I am in between studying for/ sitting for the bar exam and starting my first legal job in October so I have a flexible schedule and am looking to care for pets as a way to destress and help out my community. I am completely flexible everyday of the week. My weekends are even more flexible as I am available whenever I am not reading for school or spending time with my family and friends. I want to care for your pets how you do. This means following and executing out your instructions. It is really hard for dogs to be away from their families and I am hoping that my caring and active nature will allow your dog to bond with me and hopefully make them happy while you are away.

I had an amazing experience with Kenzie. She was incredibly kind and compassionate toward my puppy, Cairo. From the start Kenzie went above and beyond to make Cairo feel comfortable and cared for. I appreciated the constant updates and pictures, which showed how happy and relaxed my pup was. It’s such a relief to know Cairo was in such loving hands. I highly recommend Kenzie to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

About: I've lived and worked with animals most of my life. Sitting for disabled pets, dogs, turtles, cats and birds. My goal is to keep them happy so you can explore the world. When I'm with an animal, they get love and attention while I work from the couch on a hybrid schedule. (3 days in office a week) They are fed, watered, played and bathroom'd when needed. I generally will come to their house so their life is less disturbed and they can stay with the routine the family has established. Written instructions for care will be followed.

About: Ive had multiple cats my whole life and currently just have a elderly dog so I watch friends and families cats while they go on vacation! Im open to stopping by your place to take care of your kitty or having them at my place (my dog is very old and has been around all of my cats and loves them so she would never be a problem around cats!). I also have had lots of dogs and puppy's growing up and love watching them for people! I have elderly dog experience, puppy experience, and also reactive dog experience! I currently dont have a open backyard to have a dog at my place and since I have a older dog im not looking to have other big dogs or puppy's at my house. Im more than happy though to make stops at your house! I have had reactive dogs before and understand how hard it is to find sitters. Im very comfortable with reactive dogs and all I ask is that I meet them before hand to get them comfortable with me! I currently work a 8-4:30 job Monday through friday. I can stop by your place early in the morning and hang out with your pets at night as long as needed! Also available most of the time on the weekends and with a week or so notice I should be able to clear my schedule if needed on weekends! Im very used to reactive dogs and such so I know how to typically handle those situations. I also had a dog that would run out of the house a lot when I was in high-school so im very prepared to open doors carefully and make sure everyone is in their areas!

About: I’ve spent all my life watching dogs or cats my family had had both. I would say I’m really great with dog walking and cleaning and feeding same thing with cats, I currently have a cat and snake and love them very much! Im available most times during the week, If not i’ll reach out and say i can make it! I currently do online schooling so I’m open to pet sitting whenever that’s best for you! :) I always respect others homes! Unfortunately due to my family and pets i can’t board pets and have them at my house, but house sitting and dog walking near your home is always on the table! I treat others homes how i’d like mine to be treated!

About: Hi! I’m an experienced pet sitter with over 7 years of experience caring for dogs through in-home sitting, dog walking, drop-in visits, and overnight care. I previously worked for a dog training business, where I learned proper leash handling, dog behavior, and positive training techniques that I continue to use while caring for every dog. I’m also certified by the Arizona Humane Society in dog care, giving me additional knowledge in safe handling and animal welfare. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, including senior dogs who require daily oral medications, and I always strive to make each pet feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their family is away. As a graduate student and educator, I’m dependable, organized, and great at communicating. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their usual routine, I’ll tailor my care to their individual needs. As a graduate student, I have a consistent schedule that allows me to provide reliable morning and evening visits throughout the week. My visits include feeding, walks or playtime, potty breaks, medication if needed, and plenty of love and attention. I may also be available for overnight stays on select weekends. I always prioritize keeping pets on their normal routine and providing dependable care you can count on. Due to my years of experience, I am able to provide your dog(s) with the attention and care that they require. Whether it be crate training, water & shade on walks, or play!

The best dog sitter ever!!! Honestly Trinity goes the extra mile to make your dog happy. My lab is a big boy and she can get him to play and be totally exhausted when he gets home. He has gotten used to their daily walks and waits for her everyday. When we go back to Seattle we will truly miss her! This experience has been beyond my expectations! Thanks!

About: I have hands-on experience caring for a wide range of dogs, including sick, reactive, and high-energy dogs, as well as both small and large breeds. I’m comfortable managing different temperaments and situations calmly and consistently. While I’m not a certified trainer, I’ve successfully trained my own dogs and have received compliments on their behavior and structure. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine right now. I’ve structured my schedule to be fully available and flexible, so I can prioritize each pet’s needs — whether that’s consistent feeding times, walks, or just spending quality time with them. I’m very organized by nature, so I make sure nothing gets missed and routines stay on track. My goal is to make things feel normal for your pet while you’re away. Whenever possible, I like to care for pets in their own home so they can stick to their routine and environment. I’m very comfortable working in other people’s homes and treat them with a lot of respect — doors locked, things kept clean, and everything left the way it was. If pets stay with me, I have a fully fenced yard and a dog door, so they have safe access outside while still being monitored.

About: My kiddo and I will happily provide lots of playtime, including walks and socializing, for your loved one. We both have experience with multiple breeds and are always looking to learn about the preferences and habits of those that are new to us. My kid loves to jog, dance, and tumble with the pups, while I'm more of the snuggling type. We both love long walks and visiting with friends at the dog park. If your sweetie prefers to play without children, I am available solo as well. Whatever your needs, my little family and I are happy to tailor our care to you and yours. You can rest easy knowing we will share our love and tons of fun with your family's best friend!

Wow what do I say about Stephanie! She is so kind and amazing. She kept me informed about how the pups did on their walks. She would fill up their water bowls. I always knew they were loved and being cared while I was gone. I have one corky dog that she was so patient with. So thankful to have found Stephanie a true dog lover!

We have been using Garrett services for a year now and it’s always such a lovely experience! The boys love him and he takes good care of them. We have used his boarding services, and he kept us updated about the boys regularly and gave the boys their medication if they were on it. We have also used his dog walking services, he has always been on time, and informed us if any thing arises. I will definitely book and recommend Garrett because he loves taking care of dogs and his background with working with dogs. Thank you so much for taking care of Aiko and Sailor!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
