About: Hello! So nice to meet you. I'm looking forward to getting to know you and your pet(s)! My first name is Taylor, but please call me Marie (my middle and preferred name). A bit about my background: I am Fear Free Level 3 Certified, RECOVER Initiative CPR-Certified, and I am insured as a Pet Sitter / Dog Walker through Pet Care Insurance. I'm currently enrolled (2026) in Penn Foster's Vet Tech Associate's Degree Program. I graduated with a 4.0 from Pima Medical Institute, Phoenix, in December 2020 from the Veterinary Assistant Program. I graduated magna cum laude ("with great praise") from ASU in 2015 with a BA in Creative Writing and a second BA in French linguistics/translation/literature. I also completed one semester of the Pre-Veterinary Medicine program at ASU. I've worked for various Small Animal vet clinics on and off since 2018. I have been working with animals in some capacity since 2010 (technically years earlier, since I used to volunteer at our local humane society in elementary and middle school as a kid), and I’ve had my own pets since I was ~5 years old. I worked previously for Rover from July 2017 to May 2021, and took a hiatus because I moved, but unfortunately I no longer have my original Rover profile (Was listed as "Taylor E.", first name and maiden name initial). I had a 5-star rating from 35 people who were pleased with my pet care and communication and left positive reviews (thank you so much!!!) and had several repeat clients -- Please see screenshots of my previous Rover account reviews in my photo gallery. I love working for Rover, so I’m glad to be back! I am competent, thorough, communicative, responsible, punctual, respectful, honest, and have integrity. You can be assured that your pet(s) will be safe with me. I give periodic written updates with photos, I follow instructions carefully, I take attentive notes about your pet from your description and my own observations, I am focused and attentive when caring for your pet(s), and I respond promptly to messages. For pet sitting in your home, I am very tidy/respectful and will leave your home as clean as when I arrived, and I stay in only the designated area(s) and only touch what I need to (please show me where you keep cleaning supplies and your pets’ food or medications, etc.). I pick up after your pet and bring my own dog waste bags, leads, collapsible water bowl, and first aid kit, just in case. I pay attention to details, like the temperature (air/ground) being safe for walks. My preference is to suggest a “Meet-and-Greet” (whenever possible. I do typically accept short-notice requests where this may not be logistically possible) because it’s important to me that you AND your pet are comfortable with me (and I you). I am loyal and love to have repeat clients, but I also enjoy taking on one-time requests, I’m happy to help. I try to keep a pet’s routine as familiar as possible for their comfort and your peace of mind. I have the experience to be able to care for certain special needs, and I will communicate with you honestly (at all times) if I feel a request/booking is beyond my scope of experience because my priority is your pet's safety and wellbeing and I feel they should be matched with the best possible carer. I have worked with a variety of cats/dogs of different ages, abilities/needs/conditions, sizes, and breeds, as both a veterinary assistant and pet sitter. As an important DISCLAIMER: While I do have years of vet assistant experience and formal vet assistant education, I am not a Veterinarian and not a CVT (i.e., I am not licensed to practice veterinary medicine); I can only care for your pet in the capacity as a pet sitter / dog walker and cannot provide medical care or diagnose or prognose, etc. I will always refer you to your local Vet for that type of care and will not do anything outside of my scope of expertise for the safety of your pet (and to abide by the law). In the event of an emergency I can provide first aid/CPR and transport your pet to the vet. About our pets at home: My husband and I have two wonderful cats (1 adopted, 1 we rescued) and two wonderful dogs (adopted by us from the humane society after they were rescued from dire situations, respectively; one of which is a tripod and one is a disabled senior that wears diapers) -- I gravitate especially towards rescues and seniors that need a little extra care, and I especially love cats. Every pet is so special and deserves a safe and happy home! Thank you so much for your consideration. Looking forward to meeting you and your pets! -- Marie When receiving a booking request, I will communicate in detail about my availability to ensure it meets your expectations and your pet's needs. I’m a transparent and thorough communicator, and I’ll let you know of any prior commitments that I may have during a house stay request. I also do real-time check-ins/updates, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing, what we’re up to, and when I am present and when I leave your home. My day-to-day work/school is remote and flexible, so I can choose my own hours and follow your pet’s daily routine (waking/sleeping/feeding, etc.), and give them lots of both active, attentive quality time (undivided attention playing with them, walking them, petting them, brushing them, caring for them, etc.) and hangout time (for example, sitting on the couch together). Whenever possible, I can take short-notice and same-day requests. I have evening classes most weekdays for ~2-4 hours, depending on the day, and occasional performances on weekends, but typically no other scheduling commitments from May to September annually. From September through May (9 months, Fall to Summer), I am unavailable Saturdays and some Fridays (mostly First Fridays) due to our performance schedule. For a healthy pet that can be safely left alone, I still always spend as much time with them as possible and only leave the house for meals (and/or can bring food) and/or class, an occasional errand, depending on how long the stay is. I arrive well-prepared to minimize the need to exit the home. I will discuss my availability and your pet's needs in detail before accepting a booking to be sure it is mutually a good fit. For any booking, your pet’s care and safety is my primary responsibility and I take my duty of supervision and care with the utmost seriousness (don’t worry, I’m also fun!). I also care deeply for their emotional well being, so while I have to be realistic about my own schedule and needs (my classes, the need to eat, etc.), I don’t leave them unattended or lonely for any longer than I have to. In your home or on a dog-walk, I will give your pet(s) my full attention to their safety, well-being, and happiness. I am consistent and committed to staying up to date on the latest behavioral and scientific/medical knowledge. I am thorough and I carefully follow directions and will ask for clarification if needed to ensure I am prepared for your pet's specific care. I am experienced and knowledgeable, and you can trust me in your home and with your precious pets. If they have a special need that I am not qualified for handling or have experience with, I will be honest and not overstate my skills (I want your pet to be in great hands with the best fit possible as much as you do). I am gentle, calm, and kind, and can also be silly/fun/playful/energetic, or very quiet; I try to adapt to your pet’s personality, comfort, and needs. I've worked with a range of pets, from quiet seniors and calm cats to rambunctious puppies, giant-breeds, and anxious pets. And while I love them all, I most especially gravitate towards cats, seniors, and differently-abled pets. I unfortunately cannot care for your pets in my own home (such as daycare or pet sitting in my home) because I have four of my own at home with special needs and routines. (Note that when I’m away on a house stay, they are in great hands with my husband, so while I miss them dearly when gone, my own pets are very loved and looked after.) ***I’m not accepting puppies at this time due to my varied availability/classes, or most Large/Giant breeds only because I’m healing a neck/shoulder injury; I'm not assuming about your pet that they pull on a lead, but I want to ensure I could safely carry/transport them in the event of an emergency.***

About: I've always had a love for animals and have spent years caring for pets of all kinds. I have experience with dogs, cats, hamsters, and even tortoises, which have helped me become comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and care routines. Growing up, before I had pets of my own, I loved helping friends and family care for their pets whenever I had the chance, and spending time with animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy! I also have experience with younger pets. My first dog and cats were all under a year old when I got them, so I am familiar with the extra attention, patience, and care that puppies and kittens need while they're still growing and learning. As a student at ASU, I'm not able to have a pet of my own right now, which is one of the reasons I joined Rover! I really miss being around animals and would love the opportunity to care for your pets while giving them lots of attention, companionship, and affection. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I will always treat them like family, while making sure you feel comfortable and updated while they're in my care! 🐾 I am currently on summer break from ASU and not working another job, so I have very open availability throughout the week. I am flexible with scheduling and available most days, which allows me to give pets consistent attention and care. I am happy to work around what best fits your pet's routine and needs! I do not currently have pets of my own, but I have previous experience caring for both dogs and cats. I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for every pet I care for. With dogs, I enjoy taking them of walks and making sure they get proper exercise and stimulation. With all animals, I focus on reading their energy and making sure they feel comfortable and happy no matter what mood they're in. I always aim to treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they feel safe and cared for in any setting.
“Teresa has been absolutely wonderful with Stella, has walked her every day from 8 weeks to 6 months around lunch to help my husband and I with our work schedule. She provides clear communication and plenty of pictures and has been very flexible with our work schedules. My dog loves her! Would highly recommend her.”

“Bella was simply wonderful. From booking through her walk and hang with Rex, she was very communicative. Her summary notes were very thorough and she provided great insight into my little guy. I would 100% book again.”

“The best dog sitter ever!!! Honestly Trinity goes the extra mile to make your dog happy. My lab is a big boy and she can get him to play and be totally exhausted when he gets home. He has gotten used to their daily walks and waits for her everyday. When we go back to Seattle we will truly miss her! This experience has been beyond my expectations! Thanks!”

My pups love Shanae! She is very responsive and easy to work with. She always checks in with me about any concerns which i really appreciate! She has also gone above and beyond, cleaning up after one of my dogs had an accident in the house when I was at work. I would recommend her to anyone. Thanks Shanae you’re the best!

Ashley arrived promptly and followed all instructions getting into the apartment for my 14 year old madam Biba … Biba would take Ashley for her walk and Ashley was lovely to be patient, Ashley also sent photos everyday of Biba loving her early morning walks. I highly recommend her and will be using her when we get back after the summer break.

Yanssel goes above and beyond to ae sure my big dig is safe, loved and well taken care of. She always sends plenty if pictures and communicates very thoroughly if something seems off. Yanssel is very trustworthy around my pets and in my home alone. Would recommend 100%.

Hunter was very professional, compassionate, and understanding. He understood the needs of an older dog as well as my crazy work schedule. Most of all I feel I could trust him to come into my home when I was not there. I tried to hire students from ASU and Hunter proved himself to be reliable. I’ll definitely be hiring him again.

I got a very quick reply to my request, than a meet and greet that went very well (my kind of shy little dog took right to him), friendly service, and great communication! He let me know when he was arriving and departing for the dog walk visit, and sent me a photo. I will happily request Kaiser again if needed, and I would recommend him to others.

The best dog sitter ever!!! Thanks!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
