About: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember! From snow days and trampoline adventures with my dog Bear to life with my two loyal Rhodesian Ridgebacks, animals have always been my happy place. These days, our sweet rescue Stella keeps life calm and cozy, and I still find that animals naturally seem to trust and connect with me. I’ve even taken obedience training classes because I genuinely love learning more about dog behavior and communication. I’m comfortable with energetic pups, gentle seniors, big dogs, little dogs, and yes — cats too (even if we can’t have them at home because of allergies). My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into our family’s daily routine. I’m a teacher, so I’m home during summers and school breaks, including two weeks each in fall, winter, and spring. My work schedule when teaching allows me to stop by home during lunch to check in on pets and I’m home by 3:30 PM leaving the evening open for playtime and companionship. Our two boys (13 and 15) also love animals and are learning responsibility by helping care for pets alongside me — giving extra love, playtime, walks, and attention. As a family, we’re able to comfortably provide care in our home or stop by for feedings, walks, check-ins, and play visits throughout the day. During the school year, I’m available before 7:00 AM and after 3:30 PM. I care for pets like they’re part of the family! I love greeting them with excitement, giving them attention, playtime, cuddles, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. I enjoy taking dogs on walks or runs, playing fetch, and honestly love when they get the zoomies and show their personalities. Safety is always a priority. In our home, pets are supervised and can be safely crated or given their own quiet room if needed for rest, comfort, or separation. We have a fully fenced yard for outdoor play and a dog door so pets can move in and out comfortably throughout the day. We do have a pool that is not fenced, so I make sure dogs are monitored outside and will always follow the owner’s instructions regarding outdoor access and supervision. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, my goal is to make them feel safe, happy, exercised, and loved.

About: I grew up having all animals in my life. From my own house having turtles, birds, Guinea pigs,5 dogs and almost 15 cats!(no joke!) my aunt I’m very close with also had a small farm with lots of farm animals that I’ve helped take care of. Again I’m a super big animal lover and have no problem taking care of easy pets or difficult bigger pets like 100+ pound dogs. I also have many references that go back 8 years long I’m currently working part-time in the slower season of my job at U-Haul moving and storage. My work shifts are usually around six hours long 3-4 days a week so I have plenty of free time and availability. I also am able to take a lunch break if needed to go check on or feed your pets while at work! Currently, I am living in an apartment with my mom who is also an animal lover and helps me take care of any animals that I might have staying over but I usually do stick to smaller animals being brought into my home since I do have a cat already. I usually prefer to go to your house or possibly asleep at your house if you’re gone for the weekend so that way I’m able to give nonstop care and attention to the animal. I also am very easy-going and do not require much when staying at your home! As well, I have many references for taking care of animals for taking care of house houses plants and anything in between
“I am so grateful to have Stephenie available to come let my dog out 5 days a week while I am at work. It makes me feel reassured that even if I am getting off an hour or two late, that Pinky has at least had a potty break outside and has been checked on. I will continue rebooking with Stephenie.”

About: Since I was little, I’ve helped my family especially my grandma with their furry friends (young and senior dogs, cats, lizards, rats, you name it). I love going for walks and runs around my neighborhood, so it would be pawesome if your doggo could join me! My commitment lies in creating happiness for your pets through dedicated and compassionate care, ensuring each walk is a tail-wagging adventure they'll cherish. I currently work full-time four days a week, so I’m unavailable Monday-Thursday from 7 am to 5 pm and anytime works Friday-Sunday. I’m pretty flexible and willing to work with you and your pet’s availability! Although I’m starting out with dog walking, I wouldn’t mind popping in to care for your pet making sure they have everything they need while you are away.

About: I've had pets for all my life from fish to birds to cats and dogs. Ay one time we even had a horse. Retired now and available for your family I am currently retired and have lived in Chandler for over 25 years. I have time now to pet and house sit. I am available for both house and pet sitting. I have a large fenced yard with medium sized dog who is 6. I am non-smoking, non-vaping and love all animals. I can provide references.

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life! I have professional experience with dogs, cats, horses, fish, rodents, and birds. I fostered for the Big Fluffy Dog Rescue based out of Tennessee when I lived in Chicago including long term foster care and transport! I have taken care of puppies, seniors, and all the in between. I believe that animals have this unique energy and pure understanding of the world that can make a persons life so much better. I can do basic training, learned animal safety skills, and oral medicine administration. I am happy to match your pets unique energy whether that’s laying down and relaxing for a chill afternoon or running around outdoors for some fun high energy playtime! I’ll always take to time to get to know your fur baby and tailor their care to them :) I currently work mornings, typically 4am-10am. I live with my partner so when I’m out at work in the morning your pet will still have a companion and someone to take them outside or just hang out around! When I get home from work it’s playtime, I love to interact with animals and find their energy fun and exciting and so sweet! We will absolutely tailor your experience to your pet, and we know they all come with their own special and unique personalities and quirks. We’d love to make you and your pet as comfortable as possible, so if there are any requests you may have we are happy to here them and adhere to what makes the tails happy! I have a fenced in yard for potty breaks and typically take walks throughout the day around a pond by my house! Walks can last as long as you or your pet prefer, but typically I aim for 30-45 minutes. I typically walk during the cooler parts of the day, and will bring water if it’s over 100°out. If the service takes place out of your home I will walk within the neighborhood if possible and stick to shady areas to keep your pet cool and happy! I want you to feel assured that your pet is safe and happy with me and love to snap pics along my route! I apologize if you hear me talking in my squeaky pet voice to your baby in any videos I send, haha!
About: I’m a calm, reliable presence for pets who thrive with gentle routines and clear communication. I’m especially attuned to shy or sensitive animals and take time to help them feel safe and understood. I send thoughtful updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. I’m attentive to safety on walks, using secure leashes, avoiding overstimulation, and matching your dog’s pace and comfort level. I prefer quiet, predictable walking routes and a steady pace, which works well for dogs who enjoy calm outings and consistency. I grew up with multiple dogs and other pets from age 4 to 23, and helped care for them daily — feeding, walking, grooming, playing, and supporting basic training. I’ve also cared for many other pets over the years, including guinea pigs, bunnies, turtles, fish, and friends’ dogs. In Vienna, I regularly did drop‑in cat visits for friends, taking care of feeding, litter, and playtime. When my husband and I moved to Arizona, we completed a 6‑week house and dog sit for two medium dogs in Mesa, which went wonderfully and reminded me how much I love being around animals. I’m naturally calm, reliable, and attentive, and I genuinely enjoy creating a peaceful, safe environment for pets. I’ve always had a strong caregiving instinct — from babysitting as a teen to supporting an elderly neighbor with weekly tasks — and that same warmth and responsibility guide how I care for animals today. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly rhythm. I work locally and keep my schedule intentionally spacious, which allows me to offer flexible drop‑in visits throughout the day. I enjoy taking quiet walks in my neighborhood and love adding pet visits into that routine. My days are calm and predictable, so I can give each pet my full attention without rushing. I take safety and trust very seriously. In a client’s home, I follow their routines closely — feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I always double‑check doors, gates, and food portions, and I keep the home tidy and respectful. I’m attentive to each pet’s body language and comfort level, and I create a calm, predictable environment so they feel safe while their family is away.
About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life. I have been the sole caretaker for several of my family pets and administered medication, did routine cleanings and took them on regular dog walks. I have also dog sat for several friends and family and I have great rapport with dogs. I even keep treats in my car for lost friends. I have a very flexible schedule and am available when needed. I currently care for my own pet with a daily and weekly schedule that allows for room for other furry friends. I am a very organized and professional person that can care for your pet in whatever manner you believe suites your life and your pet’s routines.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - San Carlos
I booked Daniel to take my 18 month old pitbull Maggie for daily walks. We have finished our first week and everything went splendidly. We are working on desensitizing Maggie to normal every day. Sounds and Daniel has been a great help in understanding the mission and moving towards success, I have him booked on an ongoing basis. Maggie is becoming more comfortable with him and I feel we will ultimately reach our goal.

Michelle was fantastic! It was my big puppy’s first time alone, and she adapted the walking schedule to help him feel comfortable, playing with him first and quickly earning his trust. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me peace of mind. Highly recommend!

Heidi was great! She was very kind and my dog instantly liked her. She was very aware and attentive to his needs as a senior dog. She helped me feel better about being away by sending daily updates, pics, and videos, sometimes multiple times a day, which I LOVED. My dog loved Heidi and I could tell he was in great hands.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
