“Olivia has been an absolute lifesaver for our family and our dog, Auggie. From day one, she has been incredibly reliable, with perfect attendance and punctuality every single time. Knowing that I can count on her completely gives me so much peace of mind. What truly sets Olivia apart is how much she genuinely cares. Auggie absolutely adores her and gets super excited every time he sees her. As a devoted (and admittedly sometimes overprotective) dog mom, I have plenty of special requests and instructions, and Olivia always listens carefully and follows them without hesitation. She is thoughtful, attentive, and extremely responsible on walks. She takes the time to put Auggie's doggy shoes on before walks and remove them afterward, makes his safety a priority, and is always aware of his surroundings. It's obvious that she treats him as if he were her own. If you're looking for someone who is dependable, trustworthy, caring, and truly exceptional with dogs, I cannot recommend Olivia highly enough. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found her, and Auggie agrees!”

“Cindy and Greg were amazing. They love dogs and take great care of my poochie on his walks! My dog loves them and is always excited for his morning walks with them.”

About: Hi! I’m Lex. I grew up surrounded by animals of all kinds, so caring for them has always been second nature to me. From dogs and cats to reptiles and other unique pets, I’m comfortable, confident, and genuinely enjoy spending time with them all. I believe every animal deserves patient, attentive care and a calm environment where they feel safe. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and little quirks so they stay comfortable when you are away. Whether it’s an energetic dog that needs exercise, a cuddly cat that wants company, or reptiles that require more specialized care, I’m happy to help. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I truly love them all even the slobbery ones. I’m reliable, very detail oriented, and treat every pet like they’re my own. My goal is for you to feel completely at ease knowing your pets are safe, happy, and well cared for. Feel free to reach out with any questions I’d love to meet you and your pets! 🐾 My schedule is very flexible especially on the weekends. I'm open for early morning, mid day or a sunset walk (my personal fav) or even a visit to the dog park whatever your preference is. I'm only looking to offer care in clients homes at this time. I ask for a schedule/routine to be left so I can continue with the norm and stay consistent on whatever training you may be working on as well. (Meet and greets are also very helpful)
“Michael was amazing! He was available on short notice and kept me updated with detailed messages and photos throughout. I felt totally at ease knowing my dog was in great hands. Highly recommend.”

“Melanie is always communicative and very good with our dog. Our dog is picky with who he likes. I like to say he is a good judge of character and he warmed up to Melanie quickly!”

“As always, I would highly recommend Susan. She does a great job of taking care of our high energy golden retriever and gives very thorough updates and photos. They make my day every time! Susan is great!”

About: I have taken care of friends and family members pets for 30+ years, not as a business, just giving their furry family members the same love as their family would! I have a flexible weekly schedule. I am a Realtor full time, but have pockets of time available each day to attend to pets needs. Our black lab Auggie is living his best life! He gets both a morning and evening walk every day to do his business and many extra belly rubs and lovins’ throughout the day!

About: Ever since I was 8 years old I have been dealing with all different types of animals, cats, dogs, even a lizard at one point. Pet care isn’t just something that I have a passion for, it’s something that’s in my blood and runs in my family. I currently have a German Shorthair Pointer who is full of energy and always getting into trouble, I am able to handle very high energy dogs and don’t mind pulling when walking. I am currently a senior in high school with a half day, I get out at 10:30 and don’t have a lot to do after that, I usually won’t be able to work Fridays or Saturdays but because of marching band but there may be some days where I am able to. I already have a bag of training treats that I use for my dog on walks if you don’t have any tot provide, I also have a leash and harness that fits my dog so if you have a similar sized dog and can’t provide one I would be more than happy to.

“Cassandra is great with our new puppy Finnegan! She is very easy to work with and keeps us updated when she is visiting with him. It is easy to see how much she loves dogs just from the first meeting with Finnegan. We will definitely be using her going forward! Thank you Cassandra!”

About: We are an active family who loves pets. I have two kids who currently live in our home. Both are in college. My daughter Charlize who is 20yrs old will be doing most of the care taking while home for the next year. We care for our friends and families pets often which include two German Shepherds and a poodle mix. The house is hardly empty with my husband working from home quite often and my son in class 2-4hrs a day. That being said I do work full-time but with the help of the family we will be able to fully care for your fur baby. We are a pet loving family and would love to include your fur baby in our evening walks. I have been around cats and dogs my whole life. I grew up with a father who would bring home hurt or abandoned animals often. We would help get them healthy and find them good homes. Taking care of animals is just second nature to me at this point and I continued that practice with my kids. I would love to care for your fur baby as well. We look forward to meeting you both. There is always someone home. We make sure before accepting any stays that we can provide the attention your pet requires. My full time job is pretty flexible as well. We have a two story home. Closed in backyard with a pool. Per your request we can make as much or as little of the house accessible to your fur baby.
About: I am not sure why it says I prefer dogs over 1 and I don’t know how to fix it, but I certainly don’t mind puppies! I have currently have two cats, a Border Collie and Pomeranian. The Border Collie is very friendly, & calm. She will play, but as she’s gotten older she would rather supervise/referee if you will. She is fantastic with any dog all dogs; small, large, energetic, introverted or anxious. She is very good at picking up on & respecting boundaries. My Pomeranian, Teddy is very sweet. He’s a puppy, so he’s just a little ball of energy. My cats have keep to themselves and are used to dogs being around. They typically hide in our upstairs and sleep mostly during the day. They are more active in the nighttime. I am a stay at home mom currently. I am available basically everyday of the week. I have 3 children. A three year old and twins, almost two. I teach them safety and etiquette regarding the behaviors and actions that are safe to engage in around dogs/cats and when these behaviors are appropriate and not. I have fenced back yard, your fur baby can play with mine or we can play fetch. I live in a safe, and friendly neighborhood with several dog parks around if that’s something you would be interested in. I like to take my children and my dogs on evening walks given it is cooler around this time. , id love for yours to join.
About: I have been watching animals since I was little, I’ve trained all of my puppies that i’ve had, I have had 3 dogs, I watch my family members cats and dogs when they are gone, I love to play with them as well After my work day, being a pet sitter is another fun way for me to earn some extra money, and I love seeing new animals I make sure the dogs have eaten and I love to entertain and play with them, if needed to go in a crate I am able to do that as well.
“I’m so happy with the way Kana walked my dog. My dog isn’t easy to walk and tends to react when he sees other dogs, so I was nervous about having someone else handle him. Kana did an amazing job and clearly knew exactly what to do in those situations. It gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing she has a background in dog training. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter or dog walker, especially if your dog needs a little extra understanding or experience. I will definitely be coming back to her again!”

About: I've been pet sitting and house sitting since I was 14 and have experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages. What sets me apart is my patience, reliability, and attention to each pet's individual needs. I have experience helping with potty training puppies and understand the consistency and supervision that young dogs require. I have also cared for senior pets and am comfortable following special routines, administering basic care, and providing the extra attention older animals often need. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their families are away. I’m currently in school for nursing, but have plenty of time to care for your pets! I plan my schedule carefully to ensure pets receive the attention, exercise, and care they need. Whether it's feeding, walks, playtime, check-ins, or overnight stays, I am committed to being reliable and maintaining each pet's normal routine so they feel comfortable and well cared for while their owners are away. I also provide updates and photos when requested so pet parents can feel confident that their pets are happy and well cared for while they're away.
About: I started off as a cat person after college and turned into loving dogs since I've been married 16 years ago! I am the one that stops owners and their dogs on walks to see if I can pet them. We have two dogs of our own and I love to play and cuddle with them! I work full time with a very flexible schedule. I am home most days, and usually if I need to leave it's 2-4 hours at a time at most. I have a fenced yard-but there is an unfenced pool. There is a dog run, completely separate from the main yard the dogs can access through a doggie door. I also walk my dogs almost daily first thing in the morning.

We feel so lucky to have found Sue to walk our puppy Teddy during the day while we were crate training. She has been extremely dependable even as our schedule became a little volatile. My wife got to see Teddy with her once and it was obvious how much Teddy loves her. Highly recommend

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
