About: Hi!! :) My name is Serena, I’m new on Rover and I’m very excited to meet some new furry faces! I’m the go to dog sitter for my best friend’s Husky & Shepard who is a tripod (3 legged king), so even though I’m new on the app I have a couple repeat clients! I used to volunteer at Pasado’s Safehaven in Washington, and my favorite thing was to bottle feed the cows! I’ve also fed & changed swan bedding on the swan committee, fostered a bob cat, squirrels, horses, and birds. For personal pets I have experience with dogs, cats, hamsters, parakeets, canaries, cockatiels, leopard geckos, anoles, hermit crabs, tarantulas, various fish and aquatic critters/plants. I’m HOME: Mondays,Tuesdays,Wednesdays,Thursdays. In OFFICE: Friday 7:30-4:30pm, Saturday 8am-5pm w/ 1 hour lunch breaks to check on your pet! I also have a pet cam I can talk to them, send you pics, and dispense treats :) I will make sure we do a meet and greet so we can discuss any specific needs/safety concerns you might have! I have a lot of space and working from home makes frequent checks as simple as looking over from my work desk. My apartment unit is also directly across from the complex dog park and a large grass area! I have one cat, but she’s anti social so she would be kept separate in another room to enjoy her peace and quiet

About: I've been told by friends who have dogs, that the relationship I've built with their babes is one based on respect. That is because I am someone who is observant, and looks for the right cues before attempting to step into their comfort zone. Which is why when I'm asked to care for their pets, they can trust that I am there to look after them and care for their boundaries. That is also true when it comes to following their pet's routines and habits that are established, as well as having an understanding of their personalities. Every pet is different, it just takes a little time and patience to understand them. I do work from home two days out of the week, Monday through Friday. However, the remote days are flexible, and the rest of the week I am on the field conducting home visits for patients. Therefore whether you need me to house sit, for a day or two I can adjust my schedule to meet that, as long as I have enough notice. Or if you just need me to stop by for a potty break or a walk, I can add it to my route of visits. On weekends, I am available within reason. I am flexible, and I can do my best to accommodate your needs. It just takes a conversation and some planning. In my home, I do have four babes. One dog and three cats. I do have routines for them when it comes to meal times, and potty breaks. For Nani, my dog. She has her breakfast around the same time every morning, which is usually after I am done getting ready for work. Then soon after she finishes her breakfast, she cues me for a potty walk. We go around the block and she does her business and comes back home to a treat and some play before I go to make my breakfast. For my cats, Chachi, Mizu, and Jojo. They get their breakfast right before I take Nani out for her walk, that way they can eat peacefully and take their time without Nani wagging her tail at them. For the rest of the day, If I am working from home Nani gets a mid day walk around our grassy area at home, but usually in the summer she prefers to stay inside. The cats, I do tend to take mental breaks from my laptop, so one of the things I do is play with them with their string and give them a lil catnip for them to relax. Dinner time is a bit more relaxed, the cats have an auto feeder so their dinner serves at 6pm and for Nani, she gets her dinner, and then she cues me for a walk. Usually my husband and I alternate when following these routines, so in the case I'm out pet sitting, I am grateful that my husband will be able to take care of our babies while I care for yours. That is the way I care for my pets, based on their needs. I am big on routines, because that is how I've raised them to be. However every household has different lifestyles and understanding that is important when choosing to care for someone else's pet's.

Your pet gets my full attention during the visit, not a distracted five minutes between other obligations. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same care and respect I'd want for my own. I follow your instructions exactly, feeding schedules, routines, restricted areas, all of it. I'm also comfortable administering pet medications if needed. You'll always get a photo update before I leave so you know everything went smoothly.

My schedule changes due to nursing school and my work schedule, but I keep my rover calendar up to date with obligations so my rover calendar is accurate. To me, enrichment time is so important for both cats and dogs. I believe in using toys, treats, and physical activity as means to keep your pets lives enriching, entertaining, and healthy. About: I know how scary it is to entrust others with your pets, especially if you are like me and have an anxious/reactive pet. I volunteer with a local shelter, and they've taught me so much when it comes to minimizing stress in animals as much as possible. I will treat your pets like I treat my own, with a focus on comfort, reducing stress, and respecting boundaries in what your pet might find to be a new or scary situation. I currently work from home with a flexible schedule, so any time not spent with my own pets or volunteering at the animal shelter I can dedicate to caring for your pet! I have a fenced yard, dog crates, and even a dedicated "pet room" in my home. I also like to use the vertical space for my cats and give them lots of shelving and perches for them to climb and view the windows.

About: I've always brought home all the stray dogs and cared for the hurt animals. I have always been that friend that everyone counts on when they go out of town to take care of the pets. I love the ask honestly, because I love spending time with them. I am very patient and intuitive and will let your animal get to know me rather than force myself on then. I am retired, so I am free to take care of you animals as much or as little as you need. I am generally an early riser so I can take your dog out for an early walk or run. I'm also available 7 days a week. The care would have to be provided in your home at this time as my rental property will not allow pets at this time. However, I am very flexible about staying overnight at your place.

About: Im a 40 year old professional in the dental field who has had animals my entire life. I have had dogs and exotics such as an iguana for 10 years which I potty trained and formulated a diet for him. I am BLS certified and have even helped work at a groomers for a brief time. In which I learned how to do CPR on animals. I have a prior degree in biology and a great understanding for animal psychology. I am not a professional in training but have acquired many skills throughout the years to help and aide in the development and routine to train animals. I prefer dogs and will accept exotics. About: I absolutely adore animals and have been working with them for as long as I can remember. I worked in an animal shelter for years, and I am currently an animal care specialist with marine animals. I currently own 3 dogs, and adventuring with them is my favorite way to make beautiful memories! I have fostered many cats from bottle baby kittens, to hospice seniors. I also own 2 horses that take me on awesome adventures through the desert. I look forward to meeting your pets! I do work from home, so I can fit in drop ins and walks! About: I have taken care of and been around pets since I was a young kid. I love being around animals and will do anything I can to help them! I can administer basic medication. I love to play fetch in the backyard and go on walks. I am always available on the weekends and in the evenings. My work schedule during the week is fairly inconsistent, but I will only accept bookings if I know I can be home full time with them! I have a safe and very pet-friendly house. There is a large fenced in backyard. I always keep an eye on animals in the backyard. There are no children or other pets in the home.
