About: Caring for animals is truly a joy for me. I love spending time with pets of all kinds and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I have over 4 years of experience taking care of both dogs and cats. You can trust that your pets will be safe, loved, and well looked after while in my care. I am currently in between jobs, so my schedule is completely open at this time until further notice. I prefer to take care of pets during the weekdays if possible, but weekends are open as well. I have four cats of my own, so I understand firsthand the love and care pets need every day. For that reason, I prefer caring for pets in their own homes, where they feel most comfortable and secure. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure to follow your pet’s routine and give them the same love and attention I give my own.

“David is a lovely person and a great communicator. He is flexible and tries to make your schedule work, also has a very kind heart. He sent me photos everyday. I would absolutely use him again.”
“Devinnie is a very clear communicator. My dog loved her immediately. Due to an injury, I cannot give her the proper exercise she needs and Devinnie came and gave her a nice long walk around the neighborhood. She’s a life saver.”

About: Hi! I'm Sarah, and caring for dogs has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. 🐾 Growing up in a big family with seven siblings, our house was always full of wagging tails and happy chaos. Between all of us, we've raised and loved German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, German Shorthaired Pointers, Goldendoodles, Cockapoos, and Boxer mixes—from energetic puppies to beloved seniors now in their teens. I've spent years helping care for our family dogs and pet sitting whenever friends and family traveled. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone who will make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away. Whether it's walks, playtime, belly rubs, sticking to their routine, or simply keeping them company, I treat every dog like they're part of the family. My goal is for both you and your pup to have peace of mind. I love creating a calm, cozy environment where dogs can relax, feel secure, and get plenty of attention until their favorite person comes home. I can't wait to meet your furry family member! ❤️ I am self employed and have a flexible schedule, allowing me to work remotely and be there to help you with your pets needs when you need it most. I focus on keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routine in their own home. Whether it's feeding, walks, playtime, or cuddles, I provide loving, reliable care so they feel safe and happy while you're away. For dog walks, I tailor each outing to your dog's energy level and needs, always prioritizing safety and fun. 🐾❤️
About: I'm the proud owner of a rambunctious little goldendoodle that I've raised from puppyhood to adulthood, so I have plenty of experience with caring for dogs through every stage of life, in both sickness and health, and from fussy moods to bouts of hyperactivity. Moreover, I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have kept everything from gerbils to birds. As a pet owner, I know it can be stressful leaving your sweet little angel with someone new. My goal is to give you peace of mind and provide attentive care for your pet. More than happy to accommodate any special requests. Glad to send pics and updates as well! I occasionally travel for work, but when I'm home, I have a very flexible schedule and can devote plenty of time to the pets I'm caring for. I'm also an early riser, so morning walks and feeding schedules are never a problem. I will care for your pet as if they were my own. I take the responsibility seriously and will always keep you in the loop. If your pet has any special needs or routine (whether it's avoiding certain foods, allergens, other dogs, or following specific care instructions), I'll be happy to accommodate them. Your peace of mind is my priority.
“I can’t recommend Heather enough! She’s been incredible with my pups — reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. She sends great updates and photos that give me total peace of mind while I’m at work. It’s clear she really loves dogs. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and truly amazing with dogs, Heather’s your girl!”

About: 🐾 I have had and been around dogs since i was a kid so i have a huge love for them and other animals. I will treat your dog as if it is my own! I have a good knowledge of dogs as i have also worked at a dog grooming salon and a pet boarding place in the past. 💗 I have a full time job in office most days but when i am taking care of your dog i can work from home so that i am able to give them the fullest attention! This setup makes sure they feel loved and safe while enjoying outdoor time. 🏡I live in an apartment with a dog yard that is easily accessible and live very close to a dog park that i would be able to take your dog to, if comfortable. It is a pretty roomy apartment and i live by myself so there is plenty of space and i already go on walks daily myself so it will not be hard to integrate a dog into my daily activities.

“I recently adopted an adult shelter dog and had to find a dog walker asap. Alana was prompt with responding, friendly, clean, respectful, and gave a text and photo update of my dog's walk. She was patient as I figured out how to navigate booking, she communicated well via text, and made my new-old dog's adjustment (and mine) very smooth! ”

About: Hey, I’m Allison! Certified dog lover and experienced pet sitter. I grew up with a family dog, I previously cared for dogs through Rover after college, and now I spend a big portion of my days raising and training my own pup, Pickles. I’m pretty much a caregiver by nature, but that muscle has grown exponentially since adopting my own dog. I know how important it is to trust the person looking after your pet, and I treat every animal with the same patience and attention I give my own. So whether your dog loves long walks, games of fetch, sniffing activities, or simply curling up with company while you’re away, I’ll make sure they feel safe and loved. Outside of pet care, I’m a youth soccer coach, so I’m used to being active, dependable, and organized. I also previously worked as a direct care worker in mental health, which really built my patience, attentiveness, and nurturing abilities—qualities that carry over naturally into caring for pets. I’m crazy about receiving photos of my own dog when I’m away, so you can expect the same from me along with plenty of honest communication. When you book with me, you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands! I look forward to meeting you and your loved one! :) My only work commitment is to youth soccer coaching in the evenings a few days each week, so I’m wide open! I typically am available for morning, midday, and many afternoon visits. I intentionally limit the number of bookings I accept so that every pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, and individualized care rather than feeling rushed. My first priority is to the pet’s safety. Before each booking, it helps to learn about your pet’s routine, personality, feeding schedule, exercise needs, behavior needs, and anything else you feel it’s important to know. I also understand that every animal is different—some want lots of playtime while others simply want calm companionship. Having my own dog means I understand the dynamics and expressions of caring for a dog, but the more info you can give me the better! I always want to make sure you feel really comfortable knowing that your dog is safe and happy with me.

“Elisa has been such a help and lovely friend for Molly. She worked with me in my schedule and provides great updates. Molly can be shy but Elisa is great for her. We will keep having her visit and highly recommend her.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Paradise Valley
My mother, who is elderly and disabled, loves her dog Roxy but is unable to walk her. Thank goodness for Nancy!!! She is an essential part of the care team, and, for the past year-and-a-half, has done an OUTSTANDING job of walking Roxy, consistently. Nancy is a great communicator, she is reliable, and she's a genuinely great human being. The whole family loves Nancy -- especially Roxy! She is a baller. Don't hestitate to book her.
Meghan was great. Our two dogs warmed up to her right away, and it’s clear she has a natural connection with dogs. She’s also a great communicator, and I really appreciate getting pictures of the dogs on their walk while I’m at work. We’re truly grateful to have found her, especially after not having much luck on here previously, and we’ll be working with her regularly going forward.

Lexi has been incredible with my dog Chip! He loves spending time with her, and I always feel completely comfortable when she’s with him. She is great about communication and keeps me updated on everything. She lets me know when she’s on her way, shares how Chip did on his walk, and sends lots of pictures. I book with her regularly because she is reliable, caring, and truly wonderful with dogs. I highly recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
