About: I’ve taken care of pets for majority of my life. Being from Hawai’i and growing up on a farm, this experience gave me the opportunity to expand my pet care skills and love for animals. Starting from pet sitting for neighbors to foster caring for animals with the organization KARES, my background and passion for animals makes me suitable for the job! I recently graduated from ASU and work fully remote now. I am at home all day everyday to ensure your pet gets the proper love and care they deserve. I have a large backyard that is fenced in and secured. When taking care of your dog or pet I will never leave their side. My eyes will be on them 24/7 ensuring they are safe and happy.

About: Caring for animals is truly a joy for me. I love spending time with pets of all kinds and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I have over 4 years of experience taking care of both dogs and cats. You can trust that your pets will be safe, loved, and well looked after while in my care. I am currently in between jobs, so my schedule is completely open at this time until further notice. I prefer to take care of pets during the weekdays if possible, but weekends are open as well. I have four cats of my own, so I understand firsthand the love and care pets need every day. For that reason, I prefer caring for pets in their own homes, where they feel most comfortable and secure. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure to follow your pet’s routine and give them the same love and attention I give my own.

About: I’ve had a dog most of the first 17 years of my life. My friends ask me to care for their dogs while they’re on vacation or traveling. I bathe dogs as needed, and take them for walks twice a day. I give them lots of love. Dogs really like me. I work from home, but occasionally step away for appointments. I prefer crate trained dogs for while I’m away but always reward them with treats when I get home! I have a comfy place. I take the dogs out for walks at least twice a day, often 3 or more times. And I make sure they have great care, anffection and attention! I have a comfortable home, yet do most of the dog walking in the grass near my condo, or with the permission of the owner, a dog park nearby.

About: I have experience caring for my own French Bulldog, so I understand how to handle stubborn personalities with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. I’m comfortable working with dogs who need a little extra time, structure, or encouragement, whether that’s sticking to routines, or managing strong-willed behavior. I focus on creating a calm, safe environment where pets feel secure and understood. I’m attentive to each dog’s unique personality and needs, and I make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away. I will be on a break from working (July-August) so I have no job, except to care for your baby. My french bulldog is my child and I plan my day around her. I will do the same for your pet :) I prioritize safety, consistency, and making pets feel comfortable in any environment. In my home, I keep a clean space with plenty of room for dogs to relax and play. I stick to your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, and any specific instructions. We have lots of toys in our home and frequent the dog park nearby. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect your space and follow all care instructions carefully. I make sure pets are always supervised, secure on walks, and never put in unsafe situations. I also provide regular updates so you can feel confident and reassured while you’re away. Trust me when I say you will receive updates and pictures. I will treat your dog as I would want mine treated.

My mother, who is elderly and disabled, loves her dog Roxy but is unable to walk her. Thank goodness for Nancy!!! She is an essential part of the care team, and, for the past year-and-a-half, has done an OUTSTANDING job of walking Roxy, consistently. Nancy is a great communicator, she is reliable, and she's a genuinely great human being. The whole family loves Nancy -- especially Roxy! She is a baller. Don't hestitate to book her.

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
