About: Hi, we’re Zach and Maddie! We are true dog lovers! We both grew up with dogs our whole lives and have cared for many others through friends, family, and other clients. That means we’re comfortable with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, ages, personalities, and of course, their favorite scratch spots. We genuinely love being around dogs and miss having them in our daily lives — which is the reason we started Rover! Since we both live together and work from home, your dog gets double the care, attention, and supervision throughout the day — basically 2-for-1 pet care! We live in a spacious 2 bed, 2 bath apartment and are happy to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, cuddles, belly rubs, and attentive care based on your dog’s routine. We’re reliable, communicative, and always send updates and photos so you feel comfortable while you’re away. We’ll treat your pet like our own and make sure they feel right at home. We both work from home, so pet care fits naturally into our daily routine. Pets staying with us get consistent attention, supervision, and frequent potty breaks throughout the day. We’re available for boarding, walks, and drop-ins on both weekdays and weekends, with flexible scheduling. We keep a structured but relaxed routine to make sure your pet is comfortable and well cared for. We live in a clean, spacious 2 bed, 2 bath apartment and prioritize a safe, calm environment. Pets are always supervised, and we follow your routine closely, including feeding, walks, and any specific instructions. We’re happy to accommodate crate-trained dogs or well-behaved free-roaming pets. For walks and drop-ins, we’re reliable, attentive, and respectful of your home. We keep doors secured, use leashes at all times, and make sure your pet is safe and comfortable. You can expect regular updates and photos for peace of mind.

About: Hi, I’m Chester! I’ve always loved animals and currently have a dog named Mayo. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and small animals like rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters. I work from home part of the week, so I have a flexible schedule and can give pets plenty of attention, whether that’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company. I’d love the chance to meet you and your pets! Pet care is already part of my daily routine as a cat and dog owner myself. I work from home three days a week and have a flexible schedule, making it easy for me to stop by for feedings, litter box cleaning, playtime, and check ins throughout the day. I care for every pet by following their normal routine, making sure they’re fed, have fresh water, and a clean space. I also spend quality time playing with them or giving them attention based on their personality, and I always provide updates so you know your pets are safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: Hi! I’m Patience ! With over 10 years of experience caring for pets—ranging from energetic puppies to senior cats—I treat every pet like part of my family. As a lifelong animal lover, I understand that pets need tailored care to feel comfortable while you're away. A typical day in my care includes a morning walk, plenty of play sessions with chew toys, and quiet cuddles in the evening. For seniors, I focus on gentle, short walks and ensuring they have soft bedding and a calm environment. I work from home full-time, which means your pet will have company throughout the day. My schedule is flexible, allowing for frequent potty breaks every 2–3 hours and mid-day play sessions. I usually take a longer walk in the late afternoon to help them burn off energy before dinner. Your pet's safety is my top priority. I require a meet-and-greet to ensure we are a perfect match. I only communicate through Rover for your security and mine. I am highly observant of behavior, ensuring pets are never put in stressful situations and that their environment is secure.

About: What sets me apart is the depth of experience I bring, even though I’m new to Rover and don’t have reviews here yet. Before joining Rover, I spent three summers in Arizona sitting for families who left town during the heat. Many of those stays were several weeks or several months, and the trust built there kept me booked through word-of-mouth alone. After that, I began traveling between Arizona and San Francisco for work and started using TrustedHousesitters. For the past 4 years, I’ve been sitting consecutively in San Francisco/Bay Area, San Diego, Los Angeles/Orange County and Arizona with no breaks. I currently have over 40 five-star reviews on TrustedHousesitters from families who relied on me to care for their dogs and homes. I work from home, so dogs get nearly constant companionship throughout the day. With 25 years of experience working in healthcare, I bring a naturally calm, observant, and empathetic approach to caring for pets, which helps dogs feel secure when they’re missing their owners. I’ve cared for puppies who need structure and patience and senior dogs who benefit from slower walks, medication routines, and extra gentleness. I now only sit for dogs and especially enjoy breeds like Bernadoodles, Goldendoodles, Labs, Golden Retrievers, Pitbulls, and Boxers. One thing that truly sets my care apart is enrichment. I love taking dogs to explore different parks, beaches, and neighborhoods so they get variety and stimulation. If you’re comfortable with it, I can safely transport your dog in my car for these outings. I send daily photos and updates, follow your routines closely, and treat your dog with the same care and affection I’d give my own. I am a spirited 45 year-old who now leads the life of a digital healthcare startup CEO, allowing me the flexibility to work from anywhere. Currently based in Silicon Valley but travel to Arizona/Los Angeles/Orange County monthly... I do prefer beachfront locations during the summer. A world traveler, I have lived in six different countries, most of them beachfront, and spent most of my adult life in the Marina district of San Francisco. I believe in embracing adventures and spending my free time with animals who offer unconditional love. Trust me with your pets, and they'll not just be taken care of, they'll experience love, joy, and a home away from home. I care for pets in a way that prioritizes safety, trust, and a calm environment, especially since I stay in the owner’s home for all sits and visits. In your home, I follow your routines closely so your dog feels secure and grounded. I take time to understand feeding schedules, walking preferences, health needs, and any house rules you want maintained. Because I work remotely and spend most of the day at home, your dog is rarely alone, which helps reduce anxiety and keeps their environment peaceful and consistent. I transport dogs safely in my car if you’re comfortable with that. I build trust through a calm presence, gentle communication, and daily updates. Dogs pick up on energy, so I make sure their environment stays relaxed, predictable, and loving. I treat your home with the same respect I give your pet, keeping it tidy and following all instructions so you return to everything just as you left it. My goal is always the same: a safe space where your dog feels cared for, understood, and comfortable until you’re home again.

About: I’m a huge animal lover. I have a 3 year old son. He’s a Shih Tzu. While working and attending school, I wouldn’t mind some added puppy therapy. It goes such a long way to relieve stress. I’m a helicopter dog mom myself so rest assured I’m very proficient at communication and care for the wellbeing of you and your fur baby. I’m looking more at dog walking opportunities or even checking in while parents are away! On weekends, I’m available all day if not scheduled to work. On weekdays, I’m available after school around 1pm MST also if not scheduled to work. Work is part-time. Just please message me ahead of time to coordinate that works best for the both of us. My work schedule goes a month out. If you’d like me to walk them during the daytime, please provide shoes for them. In the summertime, shoes are necessary but during the winter not as much. For those who may not know or who aren’t from AZ, the hot asphalt and cement can severely burn their little paws. They’re very important! After every walk and drop off, I will give an overview of our walk. I send picture updates if requested just so you can see how happy they are on their walk!

About: I have had pets in my home since I was able to walk, growing up with at least 2 dogs and a cat in my home for my entire childhood. I pet-sit for friends frequently and I love all breeds and different types of animals! I work part-time and will be able to spend majority of my time at home with your pet! I also make time to go on walks in the early morning and evening. I have a fenced in backyard, open concept home with tile. I am also located on the greenbelt, perfect for walks, in a residential neighborhood right off Indian school park.

About: 🐾 I have had and been around dogs since i was a kid so i have a huge love for them and other animals. I will treat your dog as if it is my own! I have a good knowledge of dogs as i have also worked at a dog grooming salon and a pet boarding place in the past. 💗 I have a full time job in office most days but when i am taking care of your dog i can work from home so that i am able to give them the fullest attention! This setup makes sure they feel loved and safe while enjoying outdoor time. 🏡I live in an apartment with a dog yard that is easily accessible and live very close to a dog park that i would be able to take your dog to, if comfortable. It is a pretty roomy apartment and i live by myself so there is plenty of space and i already go on walks daily myself so it will not be hard to integrate a dog into my daily activities.

Devinnie is amazing, Finn was a little apprehensive at first when she came in but she was patient with him and he soon got comfortable with her through out the week. She has been a huge help with letting him out for some fresh air while I am at work. I am very thankful for finding her on this site and for all her help with my boy.

Tatum was amazing! She came over right on time, and Mac went straight up to her with no hesitation—which says a lot! I signed up last minute, and she was so accommodating. It was super convenient. Mac had gotten into some mud and was quite a mess before I had to leave, but Tatum took care of everything. She gave him a bath and even left the bathroom spotless. When I got home, Mac was clean, happy, and clearly loved the attention. Tatum is friendly, warm, and so easy to talk to—both with me and with Mac. I’ll definitely be booking her again! A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Paradise Valley stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Paradise Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Paradise Valley with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Paradise Valley. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
