I would like to first off start by stating that I went through five different interviews in order to find Marisa!! For the original meet and greet, I was worried as she was one of the last people we were interviewing from the Rover app. She was on time and made no excuses about being tardy, nor having to reschedule ultimately very reliable from the first time we met her after that she did come and do a test run with the drop in visit and did absolutely amazing. For example, my dog ended up urinating in my house and she had seen some Clorox wipes and obviously there was paper towels and other stuff there she could have left the urine on the ground and that would've actually been fine with me because I would've picked it up, but she actually went the extra step as to clean it up and use Clorox wipes and she threw it away!! So from the beginning, I knew she was absolutely amazing Ever since then she has been walking our dog and doing drop in visits. She has done multiple and I will continue to book with her because my dog is a puppy (1.5 years old) still and doesn't know how to control his excitement so to other people he can be scary, but to Marisa she was able to contain him get his behavior traits, lockdown and ultimately be able to already to train him in a certain routine that they have together which he absolutely loves Now that we won't be out of town coming up soon she may not be walking him or doing drop in visits as much but we will definitely be using her on a regular basis. I would 100% recommend for anyone that is needing drop in visits or pet care to hire Marisa because she is absolutely amazing and again my dog is 80 pounds plus being a Staffy mix with American pitbull he is super strong and can be very aggressive towards other dogs and she has been able to keep him under control. Thank you again Marisa for providing the most amazing outstanding care for our baby and loving him just as much as we do I will forever be grateful for finding you. Thank you again!!!

About: i’ve been around animals my entire life and grew up with a family dog, so taking care of pets has always been a natural part of my daily life. over the years family, friends, and friends of friends, have trusted me to feed, walk, and care for their pets in their absence. i have experience pet sitting in homes with multiple animals, including both dogs and cats, and i am comfortable managing different personalities and routines. i have two cats of my own- one i’ve had since she was a kitten and another we rescued at 13 years old, which has given me experience caring for pets of all ages. i know firsthand how difficult it can be to be away from your pets, and it’s important to me that your pet feels as safe, loved, and cared for as always. i work a fairly flexible job, so i can make my schedule meet the needs of you and your pets! my days off vary from week to week and i can move them around as needed, making me available pretty much whenever! i always make sure pets have plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and affection while respecting their personalities and routines. i strive to make sure that both you & your pets don’t feel anxious while you’re gone and will provide regular updates and photos.

About: When you're away, you want to know your dog is happy, healthy, and cared for like family. As a Rover client myself, I know how much thought goes into finding a sitter who will truly care for your beloved pet. More than anything, I want your dog to feel genuinely loved, not just looked after. . I understand that each dog is unique, so I'll partner w/ you and build a routine around what your pup actually needs, provide individualized attention, enrichment, and a calm, structured environment. Updates and photos will be provided as often as you want, and communication will be professional and prompt. . Centrally located in downtown Phoenix, under 15 minutes from PHX airport, in a secure building complex. My home is calm, clean, and puppy-proofed, with all dog supplies, toys, grooming products, bedding, and furnishings chosen specifically for safety and hygiene. You and your dog can expect a well-maintained, hypoallergenic-conscious environment, alongside Tater Tot (my 3.5 year old, professionally trained, spunky silky terrier) and my pup adoring partner, Justin. . Meet n' Greets are encouraged, in-person or virtual (video) to make sure it's a good fit for everyone. If your pup does better one-on-one, with gentle structure, individualized attention, and endless pampering, I'd love to meet them! . Background: . Dogs, cats, horses, aquatic pets, animals big and small - if it had fur, fins, scales, or feathers, I’ve cared for them all! I have over 40 years nurturing and loving animals: training award-winning service dogs for people who have physical disabilities, raising Clydesdale draft horses in a rural Midwestern farming community, and volunteering at PAWS, Chicago's largest no-kill shelter. A close family friend's parents worked in veterinary medicine, and I spent years shadowing their practice in the office and in the countryside. Also, I frequently travel to pet sit for friends locally and cross-country, and I'll bring that same level of trust and attentiveness to your pup. . Between my own pets and the animals I grew up around, I have real, hands-on experience with puppies, seniors, rescues, special needs, terminal illness, intestinal ailments, medications, subcutaneous fluid administration, food allergies and specialized diets, training reinforcement/techniques, behavioral issues, and grooming and hygiene best practices. . I do best with puppies (AVSAB guidelines for safety and socialization), senior dogs, pups with special diets or allergies, and dogs needing extra patience or a quieter setup. Puppies get structured routines and positive reinforcement. Seniors get a slower pace and attention to mobility and medication timing. Allergies and special diets are followed exactly. For dogs with behavioral sensitivities, whether that's noise, other animals, or new environments, I adjust the pace and space to keep them comfortable rather than forcing interaction. . My pets: . My silky terriers have always been by my side, first Addi, and now Tater Tot. Addi made the journey with me from Chicago to coastal Southern California to Phoenix, and we spent those years road tripping, hiking, camping, kayaking, and exploring together. She lived a full life to 16, including managing Cushing's syndrome and eventually renal failure with consistent, attentive medical care in her final years. That experience taught me patient, individualized care, something I bring into every dog I look after. Tater Tot, now 3.5 years old, joined our family here in Arizona after Addi crossed the 🌈 bridge. I am 100% available for your pup all day long, so pet care fits naturally into my normal routine rather than being squeezed around it. Feeding, medication, and walks happen on your dog's exact schedule, not mine. Walks are timed around Phoenix heat, always in shaded areas and during the cooler parts of the day; your dog will always be walked or get outside for a potty break regardless of temperature. Between scheduled care, I'm present in the home for calm companionship, not leaving your dog alone for long stretches. For short-term stays and overnight boarding at my residence, here's what to expect. . Household members: . - My partner works remotely. Kind-natured, with years of experience caring for friends' and family's pets. He grew up with golden retrievers, goldendoodles, and other pets. - Tater Tot, our 3.5 year old silky terrier, completed private 1:1 obedience training with a professional, certified trainer. He is fully vaccinated, on tick/flea guard and preventative heartworm medication. Responds to basic commands, plays well with other dogs, and is polite around people and animals. Adaptable in new environments, walks well on a leash, comfortable in the car, and potty-pad/crate-trained. - We don't feed our pets people food due to health/diet restrictions, but let us know if yours enjoys sharing. - Vaccination and preventative med records available if you'd like to see them. . Living conditions: . -Secure 2,000 sq. ft. residence in a gated multi-unit community, single floor, clean and puppy-proofed. Bedrooms can be gated off, and there's room to setup a pen or crate in the living area. - Your dog will always be walked or go outside for potty breaks. Timing is adjusted around Phoenix heat conditions and matched to your dog's leash comfort and energy level. Getting outside requires an elevator or four flights of stairs, which I factor into scheduling. - If your pup is potty pad trained and does not wish to be walked in the extreme heat, we've created a dedicated, secure, and hygienic potty area on our balcony (3 ft railings), since we don't have an adjoining yard. - The neighborhood is dog-friendly and walkable, a mix of homes, apartments, shops, and restaurants. Hance Park is about a mile away, and if your pup is athletic, we can drive to any local Mountain Preserve for some on-leash hiking, weather permitting.

Bailey was an amazing cat sitter for our two bengals! She made sure they were well fed, spent time playing with them, and gave them lots of attention while we were away. Our cats are very outgoing and energetic, and she handled them so well. She also kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Bailey was always responsive, communicative, and clearly cared about our cats like they were her own. We would absolutely trust her to watch them again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs at home and later adopted two cats of my own. Back in Puerto Rico, I spent years rescuing animals, nursing them back to health, and helping find them loving adoptive homes. I also have some education as a veterinary technician and volunteered with several shelters along the way. I originally dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, but realized early on that I wasn’t cut out for the medical side of things — so instead, I redirected that same passion into fostering, rescue work, and hands-on care. That experience taught me patience, compassion, and how to really read what an animal needs, skills I bring to every walk and every dog I care for today. My schedule is very open right now, as I’m not currently working a 9-to-5 job. This means I can offer flexible availability throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and I’m happy to accommodate last-minute requests or changes when they come up. Whether you need a quick daily walk, an extended visit, or ongoing care while you’re away, I have the time and flexibility to make it work around your pet’s routine. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. When I’m in your home, I treat it with the same care and respect as I would my own — locking doors behind me, keeping outdoor time secure and supervised, and following any specific routines or instructions you leave for me. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual needs, whether that’s medication schedules, feeding times, or simply knowing their personality and what makes them feel safe. I also keep you updated with photos or messages during visits so you have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. My goal is always to make sure your home stays secure and your pet feels calm, loved, and comfortable the entire time you’re away.

About: Really- caring for animals brings me so much joy that it feels like I should be paying people for trusting me with their little ones. My specialty is personality shape shifting: adjusting my energy, pace, and approach to match each pet’s mood, needs, and boundaries. 15+ years into caring for pets, my experience includes: *Dogs of all sizes (from teacup Chihuahuas to Great Danes and St. Bernards that weigh as much as me) *Dogs of all ages, from puppies in their “everything is edible” era to seniors (including Lola, a 14 yr old blind sweetie who needed daily meds and extra vigilance so she didn’t constantly walk into walls) *Familiar with every energy level (I’m personally high energy, but fully fluent in calm dog etiquette and respecting personal bubbles) *As someone who would go mad without my planner and organization systems, I’m highly attentive to routines, schedules, feeding instructions, and special care notes *Reliable, communicative, and respectful of your home (I leave it how I found it, just with a happier dog inside) *Big on safety, long walks, mental enrichment, and positive reinforcement (praise is free and plentiful, but used strategically) Plus I’ve been practicing my dog comedy, so your pup gets quality care AND a free stand-up set (hound heckling permitted) I’m a full time grad student taking online classes, meaning my schedule is very open/flexible, allowing me to prioritize walks, visits, and consistent care throughout the day. I follow each pet’s routine closely, prioritizing safety, consistency, and individual needs. Whether in my home or yours, I provide attentive care, positive reinforcement, regular exercise or play, and clear communication with updates

About: Animals are quite literally my whole life. My parents brought home a puppy a few months before I was born, and we grew up side by side. Caring for him was part of my daily chore chart, and he lived to be sixteen! The moment I moved out on my own, I rescued Bear, a Pomeranian who was on the euthanasia list at a local shelter. He lived to be almost 19 years old—a milestone my friends and family attribute to the way I cared for him. That experience also provided deep, hands-on familiarity with senior pet care. After he passed last Fall, my house was just too quiet. I welcomed a new puppy, Dash, within a few weeks. Raising him brought a whole new set of skills as I've navigated puppyhood from teething and potty training to post-neuter recovery. My obsession isn't just about dogs, but all animals. I've driven an injured bird to a local rescue center after finding a little guy in my yard, and was elated when I learned he'd made a full recovery. I also regularly fish fruit flies out of wine glasses and bees out of pools; watching them shake off and fly away brings me so much joy. Finally, I've been a pescatarian for over 14 years. A decision I made largely because I could no longer stand the thought of animals being in pain. Animals seem to feel that, as they always gravitate in my direction (peep the photo of my little bee friend!). You can rest assured, time with your fuzzy kiddo is more than a slot on the cal for me. Being around animals always brings pure joy to my day. I am a freelance live event producer and graphic designer. Most of my work is on the road, which means when I'm home, I'm *home*. And after being a Rover customer for close to a decade, I'm excited to offer the same care and attention to others' fuzzy kiddos as well. 🥰 I have a spacious, one-bedroom apartment where the common area is secured by three latching gates. These create space between the bedroom, the bathroom, and the entryway. This is not to say pets aren't allowed beyond those spaces; they're in place to support active supervision and prevent an adventurous escape. 😉 My apartment is one of 25 units per floor and is on a higher, completely enclosed floor--accessible by elevator or stairs (both behind closed doors). My front door automatically locks behind me, making it very secure. The complex includes a very spacious, fully enclosed, outdoor dog park that includes a working, pup-height water fountain. It's accessible only by residential key cards and is rinsed daily to keep it hygienic and safe.

About: I’ve been dog sitting and dog walking for over 10 years, and it’s something I genuinely love doing. I’ve completed numerous stays through TrustedHousesitters, caring for dogs with all kinds of personalities, routines, and needs. I also work at a dog training facility, so I’m around dogs every day and comfortable handling all sorts of temperaments — from energetic puppies to mellow seniors. I’m very used to working with all types of animals and adapting to whatever their care routine looks like. I’m a college student with a completed bachelor’s degree, and pet care has been the one constant I’ve kept up with throughout school and work because it’s something I truly enjoy. I’m reliable, communicative, and I treat every animal like they’re my own. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, sticking to a specific routine, or just keeping your pets company, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. My Schedule is very flexible and i am doing full time animal care. I work at a dog training facility so around the clock I am with animals. I care for your pets as specifically and uniquely as you need me to. I do understand that each pet has their own personality and specific care instructions. Whatever you need as far as walking, playtime, feeding, bathing instructions I could follow as closely as necessary. I often travel as well, and I understand how important it is to have your furry everyone cared for and loved while you’re gone.

Brandy was absolutely wonderful with our senior English Bulldog, who has limited mobility and requires a little extra attention with accidents and getting around. She was incredibly patient, kind, and thoughtful, and even calmly figured out a safe solution when our stubborn girl couldn’t get off the bed. Knowing our dog was in such caring and trustworthy hands took so much of the stress out of being away. Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Phoenix stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Phoenix choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Phoenix with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
