Bailey was an amazing cat sitter for our two bengals! She made sure they were well fed, spent time playing with them, and gave them lots of attention while we were away. Our cats are very outgoing and energetic, and she handled them so well. She also kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Bailey was always responsive, communicative, and clearly cared about our cats like they were her own. We would absolutely trust her to watch them again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. From personally owning, family, friends, neighbors, I have taken care (feed, walk, brush, bath, etc) of small dogs from Terriers and Chihuahuas to large dogs like Tibetan Mastiff and Dobermans. I have basic training experience from personally taking my dog to a training class. I work remote so I can spend quality time with your pet. I am an active person so if you’re looking for someone who can walk your pet a couple times a day, short walks, longs walks I can do that. 🙋🏻‍♀️ my schedule is flexible and pretty open. Preferably having a week a minimum notice would be appreciated but if something last minute does come up I would try my best to make it work. I live in an apartment. I don’t have any other pets. The apt bldg has a fenced area for dogs to do their business and a bathing area. If you have a senior dog and doesn’t require much activity or doesn’t handle stairs well there is an elevator so I can take them there. For younger more active dogs I would walk them outside or can take them to a nearby trail (either at my home or clients).

Alyssa has watched my baby girl, Maple, several times while we were out of state and she’s done such a wonderful job. She has wonderful communication, is very polite and takes such good care of our dog as if she’s her own. Maple loves her so much and always looks so happy in all the photos Alyssa sends. I 100% recommend her and will be using her for all our future pet sitting as long as she’s available ❤️

Rose is THE BEST! She took care of our precious fur baby cat, Cheese, while we were away. She’s super experienced and just knows animals so well. Your fur baby will be in excellent hands! She’s extremely thorough and made us feel comfortable and worry-free the whole trip. With her frequent updates and photos of Cheeseburger we knew our baby was loved and tended to. She’s a total pro. Nicole was GREAT!! I really appreciated her quick response time to the questions I had before booking. Most importantly, my cats wanted to be best friends with her from the moment she walked in the door for the meet and greet. She clearly loves animals, and it put my mind at ease right away to see how my cats reacted to her. She was on time and gave a full report with some awesome pictures, too! Thanks, Nicole!

About: I have been around dogs my whole life! I have never been in the predicament to buy one but my family has always had them. They truly are a gift to this world! I'm currently working remotely which means I have a lot of free time in between meetings. As long as the communication is there I can be available! Currently, live with roommates so I would not be able to cater to your fur babies needs at my home at this time. Hopefully soon!

About: Animals are quite literally my whole life. My parents brought home a puppy a few months before I was born, and we grew up side by side. Caring for him was part of my daily chore chart, and he lived to be sixteen! The moment I moved out on my own, I rescued Bear, a Pomeranian who was on the euthanasia list at a local shelter. He lived to be almost 19 years old—a milestone my friends and family attribute to the way I cared for him. That experience also provided deep, hands-on familiarity with senior pet care. After he passed last Fall, my house was just too quiet. I welcomed a new puppy, Dash, within a few weeks. Raising him brought a whole new set of skills as I've navigated puppyhood from teething and potty training to post-neuter recovery. My obsession isn't just about dogs, but all animals. I've driven an injured bird to a local rescue center after finding a little guy in my yard, and was elated when I learned he'd made a full recovery. I also regularly fish fruit flies out of wine glasses and bees out of pools; watching them shake off and fly away brings me so much joy. Finally, I've been a pescatarian for over 14 years. A decision I made largely because I could no longer stand the thought of animals being in pain. Animals seem to feel that, as they always gravitate in my direction (peep the photo of my little bee friend!). You can rest assured, time with your fuzzy kiddo is more than a slot on the cal for me. Being around animals always brings pure joy to my day. I am a freelance live event producer and graphic designer. Most of my work is on the road, which means when I'm home, I'm *home*. And after being a Rover customer for close to a decade, I'm excited to offer the same care and attention to others' fuzzy kiddos as well. 🥰 I have a spacious, one-bedroom apartment where the common area is secured by three latching gates. These create space between the bedroom, the bathroom, and the entryway. This is not to say pets aren't allowed beyond those spaces; they're in place to support active supervision and prevent an adventurous escape. 😉 My apartment is one of 25 units per floor and is on a higher, completely enclosed floor--accessible by elevator or stairs (both behind closed doors). My front door automatically locks behind me, making it very secure. The complex includes a very spacious, fully enclosed, outdoor dog park that includes a working, pup-height water fountain. It's accessible only by residential key cards and is rinsed daily to keep it hygienic and safe.

About: Hi! I’m Ashley, a dependable and attentive pet sitter who treats every animal like family. I have a background in healthcare and care coordination, which means I’m calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and very comfortable handling special needs, medications, and unique routines. Whether your dog needs long walks, your cat needs a calm companion, or your pet has specific medical or behavioral needs, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m especially attentive to: * Feeding schedules and dietary needs * Medication administration * Anxiety or behavioral sensitivities * Clear communication with pet parents You’ll always get updates, photos, and peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. ⸻ Experience * Experience caring for pets with different temperaments and needs * Comfortable with senior pets and animals requiring medication * Strong attention to routine, safety, and environment I work from home, which allows me to have a flexible schedule and be more present during visits and provide consistent care for your pets. About: I’ve been caring for dogs for most of my life, including my own dog who is now 16 years old. I’ve had her since she was just 8 weeks old, so I understand the different stages of a dog’s life, from energetic puppies to elderly dogs who need extra patience, gentleness, and hands-on care. As she’s gotten older, I’ve helped with mobility support, special routines, medications, and making sure she stays comfortable and happy. My husband also grew up around puppies because his mom was a breeder, so I’ve been around litters, young dogs, and all the extra attention and care they need as well. I truly love both dogs and cats, and I naturally have a lot of patience with animals. I understand that every pet has their own personality, comfort level, and routine, and I always try to make them feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I run my business online and spend most of my time at home. Outside of going to the gym or running errands like grocery shopping, I’m usually home throughout the day, which allows me to give pets lots of attention, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship. A lot of my day already revolves around caring for my own little old lady, my 16 year old dog, whether that’s taking her outside, helping her stay comfortable, or giving her some extra lovin’ :) I genuinely enjoy being around animals, so caring for pets feels less like a task and more like something I naturally love to do. When caring for pets in someone else’s home, I always make it a priority to be respectful of both the pets and the space I’m in. I really value my own home and personal space, so I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy who will treat your home with the same care and respect. My focus is always on making sure your pets feel safe, loved, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Your home is your personal space, and I’m simply there to care for your sweet angels and keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible :)

About: The running joke is that I’m the go to dog sitter of my family and friends. I’ve grown up and raised dogs my whole life. I own a Goldendoodle named Bruce, he’s the best! I work from home remotely on the weekdays (Monday through Friday) and have Saturday and Sundays off, always being available to care for your pet I have a fenced area and a very friendly goldendoodle that is eager to make friends and keep your dog company. I also have crates, if you prefer your dog or mine in a crate.

About: I aim to provide you and your dearest pet with the best experiences and outcomes to ensure they’re happy, healthy, and safe. My home is best suited for dogs who thrive w/ individualized attention and a calm, well-maintained, and hygienic environment (two pup parents + a professionally trained small dog). I frequently care for puppies, senior dogs, dogs with special diets or allergies, and dogs who have unique behavioral or environmental preferences/sensitivities. . Whether your pup needs a customized routine, extra supervision, special accommodations, or simply lots of nurturing and pampering, I’ll provide patient and attentive, personalized care. Additionally, my communication will be professional, and follow-ups will be provided promptly. . I look forward to developing a special bond and doting on your beloved pet! Given that I'm building clientele, here’s $20 off your first booking with Rover in exchange for your feedback: https://www.rover.com/sit/susanb60924 . Note - To provide the healthiest environment for your pet and mine, I will provide proof of vaccinations/preventative medications, upon request. . tl;dr: You’ll notice that my profile is robust, which is intentional because 1) I want to ensure that I’m a good fit for your family and pet’s needs, and 2) It’s essential to have a thorough and holistic view of your pet to ensure you’ll have peace of mind and assurance while you’re away. . Experience: My entire life, I’ve gravitated to all creatures, big and small, and I finally have the opportunity to indulge my love of pets while helping others simultaneously! . My professional background in the corporate digital technology industry and 40+ years of personal experience caring for animals is rooted in growing up in a rural Midwestern farming community. My earliest memories consist of helping my parents raise and train award-winning show and service dogs for people who have disabilities, breeding and showing Clydesdales, loving on my cats/kittens, and tending to countless aquatic and insect friends. Even though I’m allergic to all animals, except for dogs, you’d still find me frolicking in nature, surrounded by farm animals/livestock, obsessively studying and doting on my animal family and other cherished critters. . While living in Chicago, I volunteered at PAWS (the Midwest’s largest non-profit no-kill animal shelter). I consistently travel locally and cross-country to pet sit for friends and family and never pass up an opportunity to be in the company of the most precious and bestest boys/girls (of the animal species, that is). . Due to diligently catering to my pets, I have robust awareness and knowledge and am tremendously experienced with all aspects of a pet’s life, personality, and needs: puppies, seniors, rescues, special needs, terminal illness, parasitic/intestinal ailments, medications and administering subcutaneous fluid IVs (renal failure), food allergies, specialized diets/restrictions, treating other medical conditions, training, behavioral issues, and grooming/hygiene best practices. . About my pets: My sassy and exuberant silky terriers (previously Miss Addi and now, 3 1/2 year-old Tater Tot) have been/are always by my side. Each moved interstate with us, living the city life in Chicago, then coastal Southern California, and now Phoenix. We’ve created countless joy-filled memories exploring and adventuring (road trips to national parks, vacationing in cities, visiting friends, dining out, extended sniff-patrol strolls, hiking in the mountains, camping, walks on the beach, kayaking, and boating). . Unfortunately, Miss Addi endured Cushing’s syndrome and started experiencing strokes and seizures. Shortly after moving to AZ, she was then diagnosed with terminal renal failure. We were determined and committed to giving her the most comfortable and best life possible. The final two years of her journey required around-the-clock monitoring, regimented medical interventions, and customized care. . While it was such a gut-wrenching experience, we diligently researched, sought out experts, and immersed ourselves in learning about the intricacies of senior/emergency/end-of-life hospice care and how to grieve and cope with the loss of a beloved companion. She lived a full life, we celebrated her 16th birthday and she chose to pass over the rainbow bridge later the same day. . A month later, Tater Tot joined our family. Though he has experienced his fair share of unexpected ailments at an early age, he is such a resilient, demure, and cheerful little fella! We love him to pieces; he is simply the best! . Further Context: I truly empathize and understand the level of decision-making that goes into finding trustworthy, quality care for your beloved companions. Since Rover’s inception, I’ve relied on its service model (as a consumer) due to limitations with traditional dog boarders, and it often wasn’t an ideal solution for my dog’s needs. While we’ve had extremely positive experiences with daycare/boarding facilities, we’ve also dealt with miscommunication, irresponsible and dangerous situations that resulted in stress-induced weight loss, neglect, behavioral issues, illness, and emergency vet visits. . With thorough vetting, Rover gave me peace of mind that my most precious family member’s well-being and special needs were prioritized while catering to my busy schedule and last-minute travel engagements. Rover allowed me to move seamlessly through the demands of life and was instrumental while transitioning to new cities. I am grateful for the Rover Petting community and their continued care for my fur babies throughout all phases of their lives. My schedule is flexible, and I am more than happy to work together on a mutually agreed upon routine and care plan for your pet. For short-term stays/overnight boarding at my residence, please consider the following. Household members: - My Partner works remotely. He grew up with golden retrievers, golden doodles, and many other pets and sincerely loves all animals. He is kind-natured and has years of experience caring for and watching friends and family pets. - Tater Tot, our 2-1/2-year-old Silky Terrier, completed private 1:1 obedience training with a professional, certified, and highly reviewed dog trainer. Same for Miss Addi. - Fully vaccinated, receives tic/flea guard and preventative heartworm medications - Tater Tot responds to basic commands, plays well with dogs, and acts politely around humans and other animals. He is highly adaptable in all environments, walks well on a leash, is comfortable on car rides, and is potty-pad/crate-trained. - We do not give our pets people food/snacks due to health/diet restrictions. However, let us know if your pups love partaking in human foods! Living conditions and details: - Secure 2,000 sq. ft. residence in a gated multi-unit living community - Single floor plan layout is kept clean and sanitary - Puppy-proofed (bedrooms can be gated off, and there's enough space for a small pen enclosure/crate in the living area) - There are two small balconies with 3 ft high railings. We created a dedicated potty area on one of the balconies. - We DO NOT have an adjacent/walkout yard - An elevator or four small flights of stairs are required for walks outside - There is a doggy run/area on the property, but it does not meet our quality control standards - The neighborhood is dog-friendly and walkable. It’s comprised of a mix of residential homes, multi-unit complexes, shops, and restaurants. - Weather permitting, walks to Hance Park are ~1 mi. away

About: I've taken care of pets since I was 9. We've always had dogs in my family home and now I'm the father of a beautiful kitty named Carissa. I've been helping my partner on Rover with her clients before we moved and am excited to meet your pet! I'm currently between jobs so plenty of time to spend with your favorite pet! I live in Royal Oak so close enough to be able to come over on short notice. I treat every home like my own and have used Rover myself! I always want to make sure the pet feels comfortable in their own space and not scared of larger pooches or shy kitties!

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Phoenix with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Phoenix. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
