“Irene was fantastic! I was surprised to see how comfortable my cat, Chloe, was around her. Chloe is usually very shy and rarely lets strangers pet her, but she allowed Irene to do so. Irene took great care of Chloe, and I would 100% book her again!”

“Dina was fabulous! This was our first time using Rover and Dina for a 4 day trip. Dina came to our twice per day to take care of our 2 dogs and 2 cats. They loved her and did very well. She was very friendly and prompt to give us pet updates twice per day. We highly recommend Dina and will definitely use her again for our next trip!”

About: I have worked in the veterinary field for almost 7 years, starting as a kennel assistant where I had to take care of pets (dogs, cats and the occasional bird) who were boarding with us for 3 years. From there, I slowly transitioned to veterinary technician's assistant then to veterinary technician. Though I am not a certified veterinary technician, I am very confident in my ability to take care of the furry members of the family. On occasions for the past 3 years, I have also dog-sat for my family's and friends' dogs. Which consist of me either staying at their place or making long visits to their home to feed, walk, and clean up after their pets. I am currently working on transitioning to a part time job, where I will more time to spend taking care of pets. This means being able to take care of pets for most of the day, for most of the week. In the client's home, my care philosophy is to know where the pet is at all times (and most of the time, know what they are doing). Working in the veterinary field, I understand how quick things can turn bad, so I like to know that pets are okay at all times.
“Faith was nothing short of fabulous! And we say this as people who just said goodbye to our pet sitter of twenty years. Faith instantly put us at ease, managed our home professionally when we were gone, and our dogs absolutely loved her. Faith is now our go-to pet sitter.”

“First time using Rover with Mindy chosen for stop in visits for our two dogs. Went great, complete piece of mind about leaving our dogs and house open to Mindy. Mindy communicated via Rover emails a long with multiple photos of our pups with each visit. Thank you Mindy and appreciate you.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life — from dogs and cats to birds and bunnies — and caring for them comes as naturally to me as breathing. Our home was always full of furry (and sometimes feathered!) friends, and that love has only grown over the years. When you trust me with your pet, you’re not just hiring a sitter — you’re choosing someone who will treat them like family. Whether it’s belly rubs, playtime, or simply keeping them company, your pet will be safe, happy, and deeply loved. Let me give you peace of mind while you’re away — your fur baby will be in warm, caring hands! 🔆😊 I work from home full-time, which means I have the flexibility and availability to give your pets the attention and care they deserve throughout the day. Whether they need extra playtime, cuddles, or just someone to keep them company, I’ll be there to accommodate their needs. Just let me know when you need me — I’m ready to help! I live in an apartment with my husband, our 2-year-old boy, and our dog who loves the company of other fur buddies! We have a dog park right inside our complex, perfect for safe, fun playtime and daily walks. It’s a calm, loving environment where your pet will feel right at home.

About: I raised our family golden retriever from 8 weeks old who is now up in MN living with my sister! She is like my baby, and that’s how I see animals. To me animals are not pets, they are individuals 🩵 Other than that I am looking to grow experience and just make some more animal friends! I do have intermediate experience with high level training as her purpose was to be a service dog. I am self employed, so can work from anywhere at anytime, and can fit my schedule around things very easily! Since I am my own boss, walking or stopping in to see your furry friend is a very wonderful break for me 😊 When I was raising our family’s golden retriever, there was a designated “Daisy Time” scheduled throughout the day. She got a great walk that was slow so she could smell whatever she wants, and go as long as she wanted, 10 minute training, cuddle time until she didn’t want to anymore, and focused play time for at least 20 minutes. I also always made sure she could be near me while working, and I trained her to ring a bell whenever she needed to go potty!
About: I’ve been pet sitting, dog walking, and house sitting for over a decade for my neighbors, coworkers, friends of friends, family members through word of mouth as well as people I met at the dog park or other local areas like lakes / rivers / farms who I befriended and was hired by. Most of my clients have been with me for 8+ years! I volunteered at a horse rescues & cat / dog rescue for many years. I worked at a dog training, daycare, and boarding facility as well. We have 4 dogs & had a range of animals under our roof over the years from foster kittens & foster puppies to snakes & iguanas. 2 of our dogs have completed their Canine Good Citizen tests, our big dog is working on his Public Access and my pup is service trained. I am working on official training credentials but am happy to work with your pup if you would like. I work from home. I have plenty of time to spend with your best furry friend(s) so they get exercise and lots of love while you’re away. I spend as much time as possible with everyone so they all get exercise and loves. My home has a dog door and run for 24/7 access for bathroom breaks and water. Happy to swim with your pup too if they enjoy water.
“Avivah was great! Prompt communication and always reliable on each visit. My cat Frankie LOVED her - she’s so great with the animals. I would absolutely recommend booking Avivah, and she will be my first choice for my next Rover booking!”

About: I have always been the “go to” for all my family, neighbors, and friends when they are in need of someone to be lovingly attentive, patient, and dependable to their pet’s needs. I have many years of experience with rescue, senior, puppies and special needs dogs. I volunteer at a local dog/cat shelter and a farm animal sanctuary in my spare time. It is an absolute joy meeting new animals and getting to know their individual personalities. I have a safe and dependable vehicle for car rides as needed. My love of all animals makes this work deeply fulfilling and so much fun for me. I understand how difficult it can be to have someone else care for your pets when you have to be away. Keeping them happy, engaged and safe is what I’m best at! I am available most days to hang out and play with your pets. Lots of one on one time 😊 Playing outside, whether it be walking or hitting my local dog park, is one of my favorite things to do. With this summer heat, there will also be plenty of indoor play and mind engaging activities to enjoy as well. Snuggles and belly rubs are always on the table! I am a full time online student with plenty of time and attention to give your furry family members! I am an early riser and love a good walk or short hike to start the day off. I love being out in nature so any excuse to get out there is happily accepted! My only desire is to leave you and your pet fully satisfied with the time we spend together! That means any amount of time and attention they may need is what I’m happily available to offer. My “happy place” is with animals of all kinds so this really is just about making new furry friends for me and having some fun along the way 😊
“Tricia was great!!! She stopped by twice a day to feed and water my girls. I felt so comfortable with her entering my house. I was given a report card with photos each time she stopped by. I will definitely be using Tricia again.”

About: I genuinely love dogs. While they are at our house they are part of the family. I love taking a walk. When a dog accompanies me it's even better. I don't mind throwing the ball again and again and again. While watching friends' pets, I make every effort to maintain the dogs' routine, give meds, ear drops, baths, etc. and follow owners instructions. After our 16 year old dog died we agreed not to own another dog but we've enjoyed "hosting" our friends' dogs so much. And we've discovered we feel the same way about guest dogs: thrilled when they visit, happy when they leave (just like grandkids). I envy people I see walking their dogs. It combines two of my favorite things - being outside and being in the company of a dog. I often felt overwhelmed when I was working full-time so I appreciate others with busy schedules and lives sometimes can use help to keep "all the balls in the air". It sounds corny but I do enjoy helping out whether it's stopping in to visit with a pet home alone or being a pet's companion while it's owners are away.
Youngtown dog parents share their Rover experiences
Had a great experience with this Lauren for drop-in visits for my two dogs! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about my pets. I appreciated the updates and photos—it gave me real peace of mind while I was away. My dogs were happy and well taken care of. I’ll definitely book with Lauren again!

Sophia went WAY above and beyond what we asked of her with no questions asked. We were honestly expecting to return to a horrifically dirty house because of our 4 animals after a week! We returned to an almost spotless house with many countermeasures put in place to prevent our animals from destroying everything! Thanks Sophia!
