“Tamara did such a great job caring for Arlo. She took a few extra minutes on the first day to meet Arlo so he could get warmed up to her. She also was very punctual with the scheduled times. I will be asking for her help as needs arise in the future!”

“Elizabeth has been super clutch for me and even let me book an additional day last minute! I hope to make her my reoccuring dog walker. She is very attentive, responds very promptly and my dog seems to enjoy her. She has even sent me pictures of my dog to reassure me he is doing great (since he is a newer rescue). Thank you Elizabeth!!!!”

About: Hi I’m Kylea! I’m a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom and lifelong animal lover. Animals truly bring me so much joy and happiness and I would love to care for yours! While in my care, your pet(s) will receive tons of love, attention, playtime, and snuggles. Daily updates will be given as well as pictures! I have a lifelong experience caring for dogs, cats, and other small pets, and I will follow any special feeding schedules. I can administer medications if needed, and will accommodate unique care instructions. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I can care for any age whether it’s a puppy and still potty training or a senior dog that needs assistance and gentle care. I know how important our pets are—they’re family. That’s why I treat every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. My goal is to give you peace of mind while you’re away, knowing your pet(s) is receiving the best care possible. I can’t wait to meet you and your amazing pet(s) and give them a fun, loving home away from home! 🐾💕 I will always be home to love and care for your pet(s). Your pet(s) is my top priority and your request is highly respected for the care of your sweet pet(s). During the AZ summer, dogs will remain inside for the majority of the day but will still get tons of playtime because in our home- we play ball in the house! :) Your pet(s) will have frequent potty breaks and tons of playtime outside when the weather isn’t extremely hot to prevent your sweet pet(s) from being overheated. I have a double fenced yard and tons of space for your pet to play. Artificial grass, a doggie pool for those dogs who love to play in water, tons of toys, an outdoor cooler with pump, & misters and fans (though dogs will never be left outside for a long period of time). As for cats- I will keep them separated in their own, quiet space with their own litter box, food, water, and accessories until they seem to feel comfortable. Then I will introduce the cat(s) slowly to the other cats and the to home.
About: Hello, my name is Henry, and I recently retired from the United States Air Force. I worked around K9s for many years. I’m capable of basic, intermediate care of your four-legged family member. I have one Dachshund named Rusty whom I’ve been responsible for, for five years. In addition to looking after our Dachshunds over the past five years, my experience with pet care includes basic care, feeding, bathing, walking, and entertaining. During my 20 years of service in the Air Force, I volunteered to ensure the K9s had water, food, and comfortable surroundings. My house is excellent for pet sitting because I have a large fenced backyard with grass and a sprinkler system that’s ideal for hot days. There are multiple dog parks in my neighborhood where I like to take my pooch, Rusty. On our walks around the community, there are plenty of fire hydrants and vegetation for the pups to sniff. I’m a professional, reliable, and honest person. My military career helped me develop these traits, and I use them in all aspects of my day-to-day life. Dog owners should book with me because I’m energetic and can keep up with canines of any breed, age, and size. As a recent retiree, Rover is the job I’m dedicated to, and I take it seriously. My schedule is very flexible, and I have my own transportation.

“Karissa is great with my new pup Maizie, and she's great at calmong this new puppy mommy down! Karissa clearly has a lot of experience with dogs, but more importantly she loves them. Yesterday was Karissa's first time walking Maizie. She texted me photos and updates on how my little one was doing. When I got home, Maizie was happy and content. I am so happy I found Karissa to help me out with my precious fur baby.”

Jonathan is awesome! He genuinely loves my dogs, and I feel completely comfortable leaving them in his care. My dogs can get a little wound up before walks, so I was nervous about hiring a dog walker at first, but Jonathan completely put my mind at ease. He handles them so well, takes them on long, enriching walks, and always keeps me updated with great communication. He’s reliable, prompt, and truly goes above and beyond. I highly recommend him!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
