“Elizabeth did a great job of taking care of my fur babies. She was very attentive and responsive, keeping me up to date all the time. Definitely recommend and will be using her services in the future.”

“Alexandra was awesome! I had a few specific requests on the walk due to my dogs age and she had no problem following them. I was out of town and I loved all the pictures and updates she sent. My dog is big and sometimes acts stupid around other dogs, which always makes me concerned when I’m not there but she didn’t seem to have any problems handling her. I’m glad she was there to help. Next time I need someone to help me take care of my dog she will be my first call.”

“Tamara did such a great job caring for Arlo. She took a few extra minutes on the first day to meet Arlo so he could get warmed up to her. She also was very punctual with the scheduled times. I will be asking for her help as needs arise in the future!”

“Brendan is always awesome at helping out on short notice, my dog is always so excited to go on a run with him! It really helps out when I don’t have the time or energy to give her her exercise! Thank you Brendan your services are always appreciated!!”

About: A day spent with animals is a great day! My current pups are a German shepherd and a maltipoo, so I have experience with dogs big and small! I will be so excited to meet and care for your “furry family member” as my family says. I love to run, walk, play fetch or keep away, or just be a cuddle buddy for your pup when you can’t be! Being with animals, especially dogs, is my absolute favorite pastime. Walking and interacting with your pup is not a job for me but a great opportunity to do something I love while helping you and your furry family member out. I’m available for flexible scheduling, ranging from early mornings to later evenings to work around the summer heat. I’ll be there to get them the outings and exercise they deserve! Will love and interact with your pets during drop in visits and take them out for exercise while you’re busy or away. They will be so happy to see me!
“Kira was so great with my Sammie girl. She was flexible and accommodating. I felt very reassured that Sammie was in good hands. I highly recommend her for anyone to care for their 4-legged family members ?”

About: Hi! I'm Alexis (Lexi) and I love working with animals. My schedule is pretty flexible and it's open for the most part. I can do dog walks, house sitting, and drop ins. I dont currently do anything in my home because it is an apartment. I am very reliable and will show up when I say I will. I send pictures of all of the pets I care for. I have 1 dog living in my house and spend a lot of my time hanging with him. I've been using Rover on and off for about 8 years now and have previous experience caring for pets with special needs. I am hoping to find some regulars out here because I love getting to know you and your pet! I am currently looking for just a few regulars to have outside of working hours (M-F 8-5). I prefer to have a few drop-in or waking clients each week Depending on what service- when housesitting, I largely like to hang out where the dogs are most comfortable (your home!) I do walks if they're up for it, or play in the yard if available.
About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life — from dogs and cats to birds and bunnies — and caring for them comes as naturally to me as breathing. Our home was always full of furry (and sometimes feathered!) friends, and that love has only grown over the years. When you trust me with your pet, you’re not just hiring a sitter — you’re choosing someone who will treat them like family. Whether it’s belly rubs, playtime, or simply keeping them company, your pet will be safe, happy, and deeply loved. Let me give you peace of mind while you’re away — your fur baby will be in warm, caring hands! 🔆😊 I work from home full-time, which means I have the flexibility and availability to give your pets the attention and care they deserve throughout the day. Whether they need extra playtime, cuddles, or just someone to keep them company, I’ll be there to accommodate their needs. Just let me know when you need me — I’m ready to help! I live in an apartment with my husband, our 2-year-old boy, and our dog who loves the company of other fur buddies! We have a dog park right inside our complex, perfect for safe, fun playtime and daily walks. It’s a calm, loving environment where your pet will feel right at home.
“Audra walked my 2 dogs for 3 weeks while I was out. She was good with communicating and sending additional pictures when I requested it. We had some issue with the route tracker but besides that everything was amazing.”

About: I have owned and cared for many animals since I was a kid and have professionally cared for animals for 3 years. I currently have 3 feline fur babies aged 12, 10, and 3 years old. One is special needs. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and birds. This includes baby, special needs, and elderly animals of all sorts. Whatever needs your pets have, I can handle! I do have a semi-part time job as a server at a restaurant. I work 5-8 hour shifts about 25-35 hours a week. I work mornings between the hours of 645am-430pm. I'm willing to work out scheduling with you and figure out how to best meet your pets needs! I cannot care for animals in my home due to owning 3 fur babies of my own and wouldn't want to stress them or your animals out. However I am able to come to your home or take them out to a park any time you need including overnights!

“Karissa is great with my new pup Maizie, and she's great at calmong this new puppy mommy down! Karissa clearly has a lot of experience with dogs, but more importantly she loves them. Yesterday was Karissa's first time walking Maizie. She texted me photos and updates on how my little one was doing. When I got home, Maizie was happy and content. I am so happy I found Karissa to help me out with my precious fur baby.”

About: I’ve taken care of many different types of pets since I was about 9 or 10, I love animals so much, I always connect with them on a deep level and create unforgettable bonds with them. I’d love to be able to care for your pet when you need it. Your pet would be in the best hands at my home ! I'm available all week I don't work so I'm always here to tend to the dogs and make sure they get what they need . I live in a house with a back yard ans a nearby dog park, i have my baby girl Nona, she's about 5 years old and i take her to the dog park for the restroom or let her out in my back yard which is pretty spacious and would do the same for your baby. Alyssa has helped me care for my Belgian Malinois female for over a year by providing mid-day walks. Alyssa is caring, compassionate, responsible and meticulous in going about her dog care responsibilities. She understands working dogs specifically Malinois’ and their unique breed characteristics. I am a Veterinarian (in public health) so I feel I am a good evaluator of people’s dog IQ’s and I rate Alyssa at the top of the hierarchy. She follows through with a text to me about every walk she completes. She is especially attentive if there is an issue with my dog that I am concerned about. Look no further if you need help with your dog. I completely trust her. Alyssa is awesome.

Maddie took great care of my dog, Twinkle! Twink is a rescue dog and Maddie let Twink take her time getting comfortable with her. By their second day together, Twink had come out of her shell and enthusiastically greeted Maddie at the door. She enjoyed a walk with Maddie and got lots of pets and belly rubs. I’m so glad that Twink has a new friend! Maddie is very patient and kind, and she kept me updated during her visits with Twink. She is also very responsive to messages. Definitely recommend, and I look forward to working with Maddie again!

Blanca has provided excellent service, taking care of my boy, Buddy. She took time to bond with Vuddy during the meet and greet and takes him on nice walks. She really cares about Buddy and given me some pointers for having better walks when he is with me. I would recommend Blanca to walk and take care of any dog. Very good at what she does.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
