About: I’ve owned a pittie mix for her entire life of almost 15 years and have experience with bully breeds and all age ranges puppy through senior. I’ve also taken care of various other breeds and ages for extended periods. I am currently a dog mom to Chica, a senior chihuahua with a sweet and spicy personality! I’m open during the week any time of the day and possibly weekends. Weekends preferably scheduled in advance but willing to take on last minute requests when available. I’m willing and able to adapt to the needs and requests for specific pets and their unique personality types, specific feeding instructions, play, or whatever may be needed.
“Elizabeth did a great job of taking care of my fur babies. She was very attentive and responsive, keeping me up to date all the time. Definitely recommend and will be using her services in the future.”

About: I've taken care of a variety of mammals (including dogs and cats) my whole life. I am a recent graduate of veterinary school looking to grow in the veterinary industry by getting as much experience as possible with all kinds of animals. Who doesn't want a pet sitter who has veterinary experience. Not only do I know you're friends' needs, I am able to address any medical concerns that you may have. I am unable to do boarding at my own home at this time, but I have plenty of time throughout the week with any kind of service you need. Including overnight stays. ** I provide a complimentary grooming and nail trim if wanted with EVERY visit!! I am comfortable working in any kind of home that you have, I can guarantee you will be satisfied with how well I work with your furry friend.
“Tamara did such a great job caring for Arlo. She took a few extra minutes on the first day to meet Arlo so he could get warmed up to her. She also was very punctual with the scheduled times. I will be asking for her help as needs arise in the future!”

“Alexandra was awesome! I had a few specific requests on the walk due to my dogs age and she had no problem following them. I was out of town and I loved all the pictures and updates she sent. My dog is big and sometimes acts stupid around other dogs, which always makes me concerned when I’m not there but she didn’t seem to have any problems handling her. I’m glad she was there to help. Next time I need someone to help me take care of my dog she will be my first call.”

About: I love to be around animals. I went to a trade school for 2 years during high school to become a veterinary assistant, and plan to continue education to become a veterinarian one day. I volunteered at the humane society for about 4 months, and through the vet assistant program, I was around all ages and breeds of cats and dogs. I’ve been around animals my whole life, especially dogs and cats, however I’ve even had my own pet fish and hamsters at one point. I have been pet sitting for other people for a couple months now and I am excited to start pet sitting for rover now I am currently available at almost all times since I only have morning classes and will work part time, and I am also available weekends and holidays. I know how to work with all temperaments of dogs and cats plus how to work with all ages of dogs and cats too. I have one dog at home, who is very nice and energetic.
About: I've been surrounded by animals all my life. Dogs especially. I helped to raise an accidental litter of nine puppies with my mom who kept four of the puppies who are very happy. I'm experienced in taking care of waste, walks, food prepping, and overall patience to help however I can. I also have experience working overnight in a boarding facility where I feed, medicate, potty, and monitor anywhere from 15 to 40+ dogs. I can assure the utmost care and attention when I'm with your little(or big) ones. I'm currently free to work whenever. I'm eager to help out where I can and will reply to requests immediately. I have a puppy of my own and he's very happy and I love taking care of him alongside my partner. I don't currently have much space to take any animals into my own home but I will be completely willing to go to a clients house. I will take note of every specific need and happily take care of any tasks asked of me.
“Sydney went above and beyond with our dogs. She was thoughtful, caring, and kind. What more could you ask for when you leave your beloved pets in the care of another. We couldn’t be more grateful, and will definitely be using her as our pet walker whenever we’re out of town.”

About: I have always been an animal person. I currently have 2 dogs of my own, both girls, both high energy breeds. I also have 2 cats who are now about 7yrs old. I worked with a dog boarding/day care for a little over a year where I was a lead caregiver to lots of doggos at once! I am currently between jobs so that leaves me plenty of time to care for your fur babies! I am an early bird so I like to get things done early in the day, which usually leads to a happy afternoon nap for all my animals :) If you allow me to have the pleasure of caring for your fur baby in my home I would make sure to give them all the attention and all the cuddles possible. I’m big on spending time outside and going for walks so that would definitely be an item on our agenda!
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and just love them! I have two of my own, Tymber and Champ. A black lab and chihuahua. They are my world! I currently work during the week but would have time to walk if needed, but my weekends are free to love on your dog or dogs! I have two friendly dogs to keep your pup company or i can watch at your home! Whatever you feel most comfortable with. We can have our dogs meet first as well. ☺️
About: I have owned and cared for many animals since I was a kid and have professionally cared for animals for 3 years. I currently have 3 feline fur babies aged 12, 10, and 3 years old. One is special needs. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and birds. This includes baby, special needs, and elderly animals of all sorts. Whatever needs your pets have, I can handle! I do have a semi-part time job as a server at a restaurant. I work 5-8 hour shifts about 25-35 hours a week. I work between the hours of 11am-9pm. I'm willing to work out scheduling with you and figure out how to best meet your pets needs! I cannot care for animals in my home due to owning 3 fur babies of my own and wouldn't want to stress them or your animals out. However I am able to come to your home or take them out to a park any time you need including overnights!
About: Matt has spent years caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. His experience ranges from helping family and friends with their pets to caring for animals on a working farm, where consistency and attention to detail matter every day. Matt & Jeremy provide home to their pack including mini blue heeler, Riff, and five cats. Living with a mix of energetic and independent personalities has taught us that every animal communicates differently. Some want to play, some want to explore, and some simply appreciate a calm, familiar presence. Our goal is not to treat every pet exactly the same, but to understand and provide what helps yours feel safe, comfortable, and content. Matt is available most weekdays and select weekends for walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays with some notice. For walks specifically, early morning availability is often best during the warmer months, though evening visits may also be possible depending on the weather and your pet’s needs. Matt can offer assistance with walks, potty breaks, clean up, feeding, fresh water, litter boxes, playtime, brushing, medication according to your instructions, and other parts of your pet’s established routine. We are especially comfortable with repeat visits and regular walking schedules - familiarity helps both pets and people feel more at ease. For walks, we carry water, a collapsible bowl, waste bags, treats when approved, and basic first-aid supplies. Arizona weather requires extra care. We pay close attention to pavement temperatures, direct sun, signs of overheating, and how each dog is handling the conditions. During the summer, we strongly prefer early morning walks and may adjust the pace, route, or amount of outdoor time when needed. We don’t measure a successful walk by distance alone. Exercise matters, but so do sniffing, curiosity, mental stimulation, and letting dogs enjoy being dogs. Our goal is not simply to wear your dog out. It is to help them return home comfortable, content, and revitalized. During drop-in visits, Matt always takes care to follow instructions, secure doors and gates, refresh food and water, and leave your home as it was found. You’ll also receive photos and a clear update after each visit.

Alyssa has helped me care for my Belgian Malinois female for over a year by providing mid-day walks. Alyssa is caring, compassionate, responsible and meticulous in going about her dog care responsibilities. She understands working dogs specifically Malinois’ and their unique breed characteristics. I am a Veterinarian (in public health) so I feel I am a good evaluator of people’s dog IQ’s and I rate Alyssa at the top of the hierarchy. She follows through with a text to me about every walk she completes. She is especially attentive if there is an issue with my dog that I am concerned about. Look no further if you need help with your dog. I completely trust her. Alyssa is awesome.

Maddie took great care of my dog, Twinkle! Twink is a rescue dog and Maddie let Twink take her time getting comfortable with her. By their second day together, Twink had come out of her shell and enthusiastically greeted Maddie at the door. She enjoyed a walk with Maddie and got lots of pets and belly rubs. I’m so glad that Twink has a new friend! Maddie is very patient and kind, and she kept me updated during her visits with Twink. She is also very responsive to messages. Definitely recommend, and I look forward to working with Maddie again!

Blanca has provided excellent service, taking care of my boy, Buddy. She took time to bond with Vuddy during the meet and greet and takes him on nice walks. She really cares about Buddy and given me some pointers for having better walks when he is with me. I would recommend Blanca to walk and take care of any dog. Very good at what she does.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
