About: Hi, I’m Amanda! I grew up on a farm in rural upstate New York, where caring for animals was part of everyday life. I am very comfortable handling animals with different personalities, sizes, and energy levels. Because of that background, I’m calm, observant, and confident when it comes to animal care. I understand how important consistency, safety, and attention are, whether it’s feeding routines, exercise, or just spending quality time with your pet. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and treat every pet with patience, respect, and care like they’re my own. ⸻ 🐶 My Experience * Lifelong hands-on experience with farm and household animals * Comfortable with large, high-energy, or strong dogs * Experienced with shy, independent, or senior pets * Confident managing multiple animals at once * Familiar with feeding schedules, cleaning, and basic care routines ⸻ ❤️ My Care Style I focus on keeping your pet’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions carefully and make sure your pet gets: * Fresh food and water * Exercise and/or playtime * Bathroom breaks or litter care * Attention and companionship * A clean and safe environment I’m attentive to behavior changes and will always communicate if anything seems off. ⸻ 📸 Updates & Communication You’ll receive regular updates, photos, and messages so you know your pet is safe and happy while you’re away. ⸻ 🤝 Meet & Greets I’m happy to do a Meet & Greet before booking to make sure we’re a good fit and to go over your pet’s routine, preferences, and any special instructions. ⸻ 🦴 Services Offered Cat sitting * Dog walking * Drop-in visits * House sitting (optional to enable now or later) ⸻ ⭐ Why Choose Me Growing up on a farm taught me responsibility, awareness, and how to read animal behavior early. I’m reliable, calm in new situations, and genuinely enjoy caring for animals—not just watching them. ⸻ 💬 Closing Line I’d love to meet you and your pet—feel free to reach out with any questions! ⸻ Optional Add-On (if true for you) * “Available for early morning, evening, and weekend care” * “Comfortable administering basic medications if instructions are provided” I offer full availability—any day, any time—and am committed to being 100% reliable. I prioritize punctuality, consistency, and clear communication, ensuring pets are cared for exactly as instructed and owners have peace of mind. I take care of pets in their own homes so they can stay comfortable in a familiar environment. I stick to their normal routine—feeding, cleaning, playtime, and attention—and make sure they feel safe and relaxed. I treat both the pets and the home with respect and always keep owners updated.
“Elizabeth has been super clutch for me and even let me book an additional day last minute! I hope to make her my reoccuring dog walker. She is very attentive, responds very promptly and my dog seems to enjoy her. She has even sent me pictures of my dog to reassure me he is doing great (since he is a newer rescue). Thank you Elizabeth!!!!”

“We met Faith before Nessie’s initial walk. Faith has 2 Westies of her own. Faith was punctual and wore Nessie out on the walk. Great job. Thank you for helping me with my fur baby.”

About: I’ve owned a pittie mix for her entire life of almost 15 years and have experience with bully breeds and all age ranges puppy through senior. I’ve also taken care of various other breeds and ages for extended periods. I am currently a dog mom to Chica, a senior chihuahua with a sweet and spicy personality! I’m open during the week any time of the day and possibly weekends. Weekends preferably scheduled in advance but willing to take on last minute requests when available. I’m willing and able to adapt to the needs and requests for specific pets and their unique personality types, specific feeding instructions, play, or whatever may be needed.
“Krysten has provided excellent care for Xander for the time scheduled. Xander was comfortable and content. I received pictures of his daily smiles. I will definitely schedule with Krysten as the need arises in the future.”

“Dina has been walking my elderly mom's dog daily. She's friendly and beyond reliable, helping in personal way. We're happy to have her! Our little dog was immediately comfortable with Dina and we hope for a long lasting friendship.”

About: As a pet owner myself, I know how stressful it can be to find someone whose schedule truly works with your pet’s needs. I’ve been pet sitting since I was a teenager and joined Rover recently. I wanted to be that reliable person for other pet owners who may feel overwhelmed trying to find the right care. I have plenty of free time, work from home and genuinely love being around animals, so your pets will get lots of attention, love, and consistency. They won’t be left feeling alone or ignored while they’re with me. I’m here to keep them company, give them plenty of affection, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy the entire time. I treat every pet like they’re my own because I know how important they are to you. I have experience with puppies, older dogs, and everything in between. My goal is to give your pets the same love and care I would want someone to give my babies. ❤️ I’m usually up and available as early as 5 AM, and I can visit as late as 11:30 PM, so my schedule is pretty flexible and I can work around yours! I’ve had dogs my entire life, and they are truly part of my family. My oldest dog is 15, and I also have a puppy, so I’ve experienced caring for dogs at every stage of life. When I care for someone else’s dog, I treat them exactly how I would want someone to treat my own. I’m attentive to their needs, keep a close eye on them, and make sure they are safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout their stay. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I take that responsibility seriously. ❤️
About: I've been surrounded by animals all my life. Dogs especially. I helped to raise an accidental litter of nine puppies with my mom who kept four of the puppies who are very happy. I'm experienced in taking care of waste, walks, food prepping, and overall patience to help however I can. I also have experience working overnight in a boarding facility where I feed, medicate, potty, and monitor anywhere from 15 to 40+ dogs. I can assure the utmost care and attention when I'm with your little(or big) ones. I'm currently free to work whenever. I'm eager to help out where I can and will reply to requests immediately. I have a puppy of my own and he's very happy and I love taking care of him alongside my partner. I don't currently have much space to take any animals into my own home but I will be completely willing to go to a clients house. I will take note of every specific need and happily take care of any tasks asked of me.
About: I have always been an animal person. I currently have 2 dogs of my own, both girls, both high energy breeds. I also have 2 cats who are now about 7yrs old. I worked with a dog boarding/day care for a little over a year where I was a lead caregiver to lots of doggos at once! I am currently between jobs so that leaves me plenty of time to care for your fur babies! I am an early bird so I like to get things done early in the day, which usually leads to a happy afternoon nap for all my animals :) If you allow me to have the pleasure of caring for your fur baby in my home I would make sure to give them all the attention and all the cuddles possible. I’m big on spending time outside and going for walks so that would definitely be an item on our agenda!
About: Hi my name is Maria, and I am the proud owner of two fur babies; a pomapoo named Oreo, and a lab named brownie. I absolutely love animals and I take care of my friends dogs whenever she is out of town. I have two kiddos who are pet lovers as well. I like to exercise, so your fur baby will get the daily exercise they need along with lots of play time and cuddles in between. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies. I currently have full availability for dog walking and drop in visits in the early AM and PM visits. I am also available on weekends. I love getting to know your fur baby, and making them feel as comfortable as possible while in my care. I will keep you updated by pictures or videos.
About: I used to have 3 dogs I helped take care of everyday before my family moved across the country. They were my best companions: a dachshund, yorkie, and italian greyhound chihuahua. I took care of them and countless amounts of dogs for family friends; mastiffs, white labs, black labs, and more chihuahuas. I currently am a part-time student at Arizona State, but I am free on Monday-Friday at any time, and some weekends as long as I’m informed or asked to pet-sit a week in advance. We have a small, fenced yard that I use for my own dogs that we occasionally play with them in. This is easy for me to use play time for in a clients home.
About: I have had animals of all kinds since i can remember. I have taken care of dogs mostly but have experience with cats, bunnies, ferrets and even chickens and horses. I am a stay at home mom to a 2.5 year old little boy. Just trying to make some extra money for my family doing something I love and helping out pet parents in need! I will be sure to follow all rules, I am very diligent about what a dog needs as I have a couple senior dogs at home that take special care (vitamins etc).
About: I currently have a lab mix fur baby named Boris. I've also raised a German shepherd and a Keeshond. I give Boris lots of love, walks, and trips to the dog park, and I would love to care for your fur baby the same way. I'm open to caring for your loved one with or without mine on walks or at the dog park. I also love cats and would be happy to spend time playing, cuddling, or just making sure they are well fed. I love all animals and feel I connect with them. I'm responsible, reliable, and honest. I'm looking to change my career - yes, this late in life - to do something I've always wanted to do: share my love with as many fur babies as possible. You can count on me to provide friendly, fun, and responsible care for your fur baby! I am retired. My schedule is pretty open and flexible. I walk my dog. I also do social activities in my community 2 times a week. I can walk, sit and visit, feed and water your fur babies. I'm open to extra duties inside your home. I love to pet, cuddle and play.

Jonathan is awesome! He genuinely loves my dogs, and I feel completely comfortable leaving them in his care. My dogs can get a little wound up before walks, so I was nervous about hiring a dog walker at first, but Jonathan completely put my mind at ease. He handles them so well, takes them on long, enriching walks, and always keeps me updated with great communication. He’s reliable, prompt, and truly goes above and beyond. I highly recommend him!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
