“Julia took amazing care of our two kitties while we were on an extended trip, she would stay with them far longer than I anticipated each day to play. by the end of our trip our extremely anxious and shy kitty had already learned to trust her enough to come out of hiding! Great communication highly recommend-thank you Julia!”

“Kaleigh B. was great! She was very communicative and my cats were very happy when I arrived home so I know they were treated well. I would definitely utilize Kaleigh again as I am extremely pleased as my cats are my babies.”

About: I have grown up with pets of all shapes and sizes all my life. I helped raise a few puppies myself as well. I'm usually all my friends go to person to house sit and take care of their dogs. I'm the type of person who will keep your dog active, including taking them for walks, a fun run at the local dog park, a quick car ride for the occasional Puppuccino (if their diet allows for it), as well as to the local dog friendly brunch spot! I do work from home and have a super flexible schedule which makes it super easy to care for your pet. I have a sweet terrier mix of my own so I used to being around pets and understand what it takes to be a great pup parent! I have a dog of my own so I understand first hand the importance of pet care! I also walk my dog daily and understand the importance of keeping an active pet! I am with pets most of the day during the week since I work from home. I am very active with my dog as well as others so it's important to maintain an environment that is comfortable, safe, and present. I am happy to attend to any needs of all pets.
“I’ve had fur baby sitters off and on for the past 20 years due to my travel schedule. Some have been good, some fair and some awful. I can honestly say that Grace has been a Godsend. My Buster is the world to me so after this recent move I was tremendously anxious about leaving him with someone new, in a new city, and so suddenly after our relocation. But from the first meet and greet I could tell Grace was the perfect fit for Buster. I will continue to turn to her before anyone else, no question. She’s the best!”

“Anna was very easy to communicate with and did everything I needed her to! My cat is a very shy one but Anna was able to make sure her needs were met while I was out of town.”

“This was my first time using Rover and I am lucky to have found Nicole. She was great. I loved the check in and out, the daily updates and pictures were awesome. I came home to a happy kitty. I would definitely recommend using Nicole.”

“Gigi is awesome. This is the first time I've used her, but I will absolutely use her service again. My kitty loved her and warmed up pretty quickly to her. She is responsible, kind and reliable, which relieved so much stress. Thank you Gigi!!!”

About: Hi, I’m Hilary! I am a healthcare worker and animal lover who will make sure your pet isn’t missing out on any fun or cuddles while you’re away. My goal is to put your mind at ease with a dependable, consistent schedule and frequent updates. A little about me - I’ve lived with pets my whole life and I’m currently a proud mom to two rescue kittens. I feel comfortable working with cats and small to medium/large dogs of all ages, with a variety of medical conditions. My experience ranges from caring for kittens and puppies to senior cats and dogs, including pets with special diets and disabilities. I am open to any breed of dog and have especially extensive experience with chihuahuas and golden retrievers. I am available for walks, hikes, play time, overnight stays at your house, or quick check-ins. I’d love to get to know you and your pet, so feel free to message me with any questions! My house sitting rates include walks and cover up to 16 hours of care. Constant care of up to 24 hours is charged at an additional 50% of the nightly rate. Starting July 1st, my availability will be limited to weekends, and overnights only during the week as I will no longer be able to drop ins and walks between 8AM and 6PM Monday through Friday. I will review your safety concerns and protocols prior to any assignment, including any doors, stairs, and gates in your house, any use of crate, and any harness or leash used for outdoor activities.
“What a fantastic experience I had with Jasmine! The absolute best cat sitter I have EVER had and as long as she continues to cat/pet sit, I will always ask her. She was prompt, did everything I asked of her...and more. The photos she took of Evie were a sweet reminder of my "queen Evie" while I was away. I cannot thank her enough for taking such wonderful care of my cat.”

About: I’m a recent graduate from the U of A saving up for law school in the fall (just accepted) doing something i love ! Experience as daycare staff at a doggy daycare part time in north scottsdale. I have a pretty flexible schedule working from home primarily at the moment. I have taken care of both dogs and cats of all sizes! I’d love to take care of your pets if you give me a chance! I have experience administering oral medication to several clients. i have flexibility at this moment to fulfill the needs of you and your pets as a recent grad and working a more flexible job. I do not offer pet care in my home because I do live in an apartment complex so it would not be ideal at all.

“This was my first time using Rover and I wasn't exactly sure if I was going to like it. We've always used friends or doggie day care type things. But after this I will never use anything except for Rover, and more so, Aayla! She was incredible! Very detailed, courteous, kind, and most importantly she was perfectly professional!!! Fantastic communicator and very loving with my two large dogs! When we got home our house was clean and the dogs were happy! I will be recommending Aayla to all of my friends and family who travel and have pet sitters. What a great experience and thank you, Aayla for your care and professionalism!”

“So lucky to have found Chelsea. She takes great care of my cat Miso while I am away. Sends the best pics! She goes above and beyond (namely repotting a plant for me that my cat knocked over). Would recommend to anyone looking for a rover!”

“We love Kenzie and will continue to book with her for any future needs. Our pup was safe and happy the entire time we were gone. This was our first time all away from our 7mo old puppy. Kenzie provided updates and pictures and gave us complete peace of mind while we traveled. She was so sweet and accommodating to our needs. We had a family emergency and she was caring, willing and flexible. Absolutely recommend!!”

“Thanks so much, Chelsea! I loved all the pictures of Rusty. She was great—I’ll definitely be booking her again. I’m sure Rusty had the best time hanging out with her!”

Sydney did an incredible job caring for my cat. She took notes and made sure all my instructions were followed and took so many pictures of my baby. She’s also CPR trained which eased some of my concerns with leaving behind an asthmatic cat. Sydney will be my baby Mochi’s caretaker's whenever I’m out of town in the future!
Angela did an amazing job taking care of our two kitties! She excels at communication, keeping us updated on her arrival times and letting us know of any issues immediately. We knew we left our pets in great care with her. She was trustworthy, responsive, and went out of her way to do a meet and greet with the cats and to pick up the keys to our place. Thank you Angela!!!

Julia took amazing care of our two kitties while we were on an extended trip, she would stay with them far longer than I anticipated each day to play. by the end of our trip our extremely anxious and shy kitty had already learned to trust her enough to come out of hiding! Great communication highly recommend-thank you Julia!

Bailey was an amazing cat sitter for our two bengals! She made sure they were well fed, spent time playing with them, and gave them lots of attention while we were away. Our cats are very outgoing and energetic, and she handled them so well. She also kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Bailey was always responsive, communicative, and clearly cared about our cats like they were her own. We would absolutely trust her to watch them again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

Craig was fantastic with my cat! He told me he was normally a dog person, but my cat just fell in love with him, and I feel he truly earned the nickname of “Uncle Craig” :) Craig gave me great reports each day I was gone, and my mind was at ease. Two thumbs/paws up - highly recommend!

Yumna was super attentive and caring for my kitty, he seemed to really like her too which made me feel more at ease while I was gone. I was also able to get many cute pictures of him and updates on how he was doing throughout my trip. I will definitely book again when I need to leave the city.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
