Personalized care for your dog or cat - Phoenix

Highly-rated overnight sitters - Phoenix
“Oh my gosh - Ash was an awesome caregiver for Boomer. This was our first time using Rover and Ash made everything easy. She agreed to a meet and greet ahead of Boomer’s stay so he could be comfortable. He’s a shy boy but she eased him into a routine and sent photos and regular updates to make sure I was comfortable. Boomer made new friends and came home his happy, healthy self. I am grateful for her attention to my senior boy. We will definitely book with Ash again.”

“Took excellent care of my 3 pups with varying personalities and ‘new place’ behaviors. Also, was very flexible when I had to extend their stay due to flight delays. Thank you!”

“Another stress free booking down with Susan! She is an absolute gem with my Charlie guy. It’s not typical that he adapts so quickly to new sitters, but only on his 2nd visit drop-off he tried to launch himself out of my arms and into hers! That’s all the confirmation I needed to know how safe and loved he feels with Susan. While I was away, I received detailed updates on Charlie and his care. In all of the photos, he appeared as if he was right at home! He was also very playful, which is a very positive sign for my old guy. I can’t thank Susan enough for giving him the love he needs. She also just makes me feel so secure and guilt-free leaving Charlie in her care. Susan, Justin, and Tater Tot are currently the perfect addition to Charlie’s little world! Thanks again!!!”

“I can’t say enough good things about the care my dog, Mac, received this past week. They treated him like their own — tons of love, attention, and updates that made me feel completely at ease. It’s such a relief knowing he was in a safe, happy environment while I was away. I’m really grateful for how attentive and patient they were with him. I’ll absolutely be booking with them again. Highly recommend!”

“This was Piper’s second stay and she must feel at home with Ezra and Reina, because she ran right in the back yard and didn’t even say goodbye to me! Their pick up and drop off system is super smooth and quick. Can’t recommend enough, but please leave space for Piper!”

It was obvious that she genuinely loves animals, and our cat warmed up to her almost immediately—a true testament to her caring nature. The daily updates and adorable photos quickly became the highlight of my day, and I always knew my cat was happy, comfortable, and in wonderful hands. About: I’ve always loved how every cat has their own unique personality, and I think that’s one of my favorite parts of caring for them! Over the past year, I’ve had the opportunity to regularly care for friends’ cats, and I’ve loved getting to know each of their different quirks, routines, and personalities. I’m very patient and understand that not every cat is going to immediately run up and greet a new person (and that’s okay!). I’m happy to let shy or cautious cats warm up to me at their own pace while still making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. For the more social cats, I’m always happy to provide plenty of playtime, attention, and cuddles when they’re asking for them! I’m also very attentive to their routines and will make sure they’re fed on schedule, have a clean litter box, get plenty of play and enrichment, and receive all the little things that make them feel at home. I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet with someone else, so I’ll treat your cat with the same patience and care I would want for my own. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy spending time with cats. I’d love the opportunity to get to know your cat and make sure they feel happy and loved while you’re away!

“Alyssa was so amazing with my two cats!! One is quite shy, but she did a great job of making him comfortable and socializing as well as providing updates. She also kept my apartment perfectly clean.”

“We are so grateful to have found Aayla! She stayed in our home and cared for our senior cat for an extended length of time, we felt so at ease and relaxed knowing she was there. She was incredibly thorough as our cat needs daily medication and other necessary special attention due to her age that Ayla handled with extremely compassionate care. Beyond her expert pet care she is incredibly courteous and left our home sparkly clean, and even brought in packages and took a delivery for us while we were gone. She does a wonderful job communicating with photos and videos daily and is just an all around delight to work with. We couldn’t recommend Aayla more strongly and will book her for all our future needs!”

“Julia took amazing care of our two kitties while we were on an extended trip, she would stay with them far longer than I anticipated each day to play. by the end of our trip our extremely anxious and shy kitty had already learned to trust her enough to come out of hiding! Great communication highly recommend-thank you Julia!”

“Alma was great with our 2 kitties. She quickly responded any questions we had and went out of her way to come back to make sure our cats medication was successfully administered. Would book again!”

“Nicole was great! She was super friendly and responsive. She took great care of our two kitties and we really enjoyed the pictures. She went above and beyond keeping everything clean and tidy. We would highly recommend her!”

“Kimberly was great with communication while we were away and took excellent care of the cats and the house! Kept us informed and sent a lot of pics! The cats seem happy and seemed like they had a good time! I would definitely recommend Kimberly for pet sitting/ house sitting!”

About: When you're away, you want to know your dog is happy, healthy, and cared for like family. As a Rover client myself, I know how much thought goes into finding a sitter who will truly care for your beloved pet. More than anything, I want your dog to feel genuinely loved, not just looked after. . I understand that each dog is unique, so I'll partner w/ you and build a routine around what your pup actually needs, provide individualized attention, enrichment, and a calm, structured environment. Updates and photos will be provided as often as you want, and communication will be professional and prompt. . Centrally located in downtown Phoenix, under 15 minutes from PHX airport, in a secure building complex. My home is calm, clean, and puppy-proofed, with all dog supplies, toys, grooming products, bedding, and furnishings chosen specifically for safety and hygiene. You and your dog can expect a well-maintained, hypoallergenic-conscious environment, alongside Tater Tot (my 3.5 year old, professionally trained, spunky silky terrier) and my pup adoring partner, Justin. . Meet n' Greets are encouraged, in-person or virtual (video) to make sure it's a good fit for everyone. If your pup does better one-on-one, with gentle structure, individualized attention, and endless pampering, I'd love to meet them! . Background: . Dogs, cats, horses, aquatic pets, animals big and small - if it had fur, fins, scales, or feathers, I’ve cared for them all! I have over 40 years nurturing and loving animals: training award-winning service dogs for people who have physical disabilities, raising Clydesdale draft horses in a rural Midwestern farming community, and volunteering at PAWS, Chicago's largest no-kill shelter. A close family friend's parents worked in veterinary medicine, and I spent years shadowing their practice in the office and in the countryside. Also, I frequently travel to pet sit for friends locally and cross-country, and I'll bring that same level of trust and attentiveness to your pup. . Between my own pets and the animals I grew up around, I have real, hands-on experience with puppies, seniors, rescues, special needs, terminal illness, intestinal ailments, medications, subcutaneous fluid administration, food allergies and specialized diets, training reinforcement/techniques, behavioral issues, and grooming and hygiene best practices. . I do best with puppies (AVSAB guidelines for safety and socialization), senior dogs, pups with special diets or allergies, and dogs needing extra patience or a quieter setup. Puppies get structured routines and positive reinforcement. Seniors get a slower pace and attention to mobility and medication timing. Allergies and special diets are followed exactly. For dogs with behavioral sensitivities, whether that's noise, other animals, or new environments, I adjust the pace and space to keep them comfortable rather than forcing interaction. . My pets: . My silky terriers have always been by my side, first Addi, and now Tater Tot. Addi made the journey with me from Chicago to coastal Southern California to Phoenix, and we spent those years road tripping, hiking, camping, kayaking, and exploring together. She lived a full life to 16, including managing Cushing's syndrome and eventually renal failure with consistent, attentive medical care in her final years. That experience taught me patient, individualized care, something I bring into every dog I look after. Tater Tot, now 3.5 years old, joined our family here in Arizona after Addi crossed the 🌈 bridge. I am 100% available for your pup all day long, so pet care fits naturally into my normal routine rather than being squeezed around it. Feeding, medication, and walks happen on your dog's exact schedule, not mine. Walks are timed around Phoenix heat, always in shaded areas and during the cooler parts of the day; your dog will always be walked or get outside for a potty break regardless of temperature. Between scheduled care, I'm present in the home for calm companionship, not leaving your dog alone for long stretches. For short-term stays and overnight boarding at my residence, here's what to expect. . Household members: . - My partner works remotely. Kind-natured, with years of experience caring for friends' and family's pets. He grew up with golden retrievers, goldendoodles, and other pets. - Tater Tot, our 3.5 year old silky terrier, completed private 1:1 obedience training with a professional, certified trainer. He is fully vaccinated, on tick/flea guard and preventative heartworm medication. Responds to basic commands, plays well with other dogs, and is polite around people and animals. Adaptable in new environments, walks well on a leash, comfortable in the car, and potty-pad/crate-trained. - We don't feed our pets people food due to health/diet restrictions, but let us know if yours enjoys sharing. - Vaccination and preventative med records available if you'd like to see them. . Living conditions: . -Secure 2,000 sq. ft. residence in a gated multi-unit community, single floor, clean and puppy-proofed. Bedrooms can be gated off, and there's room to setup a pen or crate in the living area. - Your dog will always be walked or go outside for potty breaks. Timing is adjusted around Phoenix heat conditions and matched to your dog's leash comfort and energy level. Getting outside requires an elevator or four flights of stairs, which I factor into scheduling. - If your pup is potty pad trained and does not wish to be walked in the extreme heat, we've created a dedicated, secure, and hygienic potty area on our balcony (3 ft railings), since we don't have an adjoining yard. - The neighborhood is dog-friendly and walkable, a mix of homes, apartments, shops, and restaurants. Hance Park is about a mile away, and if your pup is athletic, we can drive to any local Mountain Preserve for some on-leash hiking, weather permitting.
“Lauren is awesome!! She accepted my last minute request and made me feel so comfortable and safe with leaving my babies in her care. She provided updates throughout the day and took great care of Suki and George!”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, and caring for them truly comes naturally to me. I had a 106 lb German Shepherd for 8 years, and during that time I received professional training so I could properly train and care for her, giving me a strong foundation in structure, behavior, and handling larger breeds. Most recently, I lived in a home with four pets (both cats and dogs), where I helped manage daily care, routines, and lots of love and attention. I’ve also fostered animals, which has taught me patience, adaptability, and how to help pets feel safe and comfortable in new environments. What sets me apart is my ability to balance structure with affection—I’m attentive, intuitive to each pet’s needs, and experienced with different personalities, from playful and energetic to calm or senior pets who need a gentler approach. I pay close attention to details, from securely locking doors to ensuring pets are always supervised and safe. In my home, pets are welcomed into a peaceful, pet-friendly environment with plenty of attention, playtime, and cozy spots to relax. I’m mindful of introductions, boundaries, and maintaining a stress-free atmosphere for every pet. About: I have years of experience dogsitting and housesitting for families with multiple dogs. From energetic Boxers to senior dogs to anxious dogs, I have the experience. I am new to Rover and typically have dogsat through family friends/word of mouth. Looking for some company during my WFH job during the week! I have a work from home job with limited meetings. I am available to hang out for longer periods than just a quick potty break or walk. Available during the day after 8 am CST and evenings. Weekends not available. Your dog will be treated with as much care and love as I treat my dog with. I am attentive and diligent with whatever your dog needs. Whether that be extra long pets or patience when your dog is sniffing on a walk, you can count on me. Experienced with older senior dogs and younger dogs that require extra watchful eyes for mischief. I always will leave your house in the same condition as it was when I arrived.
About: I have loved dogs since I met my first one as a child. I started officially pet sitting once I hit high school and I’ve been doing it part time since. I am comfortable with big, small, timid, reactive, high energy, and low energy dogs. I have yet to meet a dog that didn’t befriend me after a little patience and love from my end :) I currently have pretty open availability as I just moved to Phoenix!! First come first serve and I can usually work around your schedule as I don’t have too many commitments. I follow all rules given to me by my client and make sure to clean up all messes. I leave my clients house how (or better than) it was when I arrived.
About: Animals are quite literally my whole life. My parents brought home a puppy a few months before I was born, and we grew up side by side. Caring for him was part of my daily chore chart, and he lived to be sixteen! The moment I moved out on my own, I rescued Bear, a Pomeranian who was on the euthanasia list at a local shelter. He lived to be almost 19 years old—a milestone my friends and family attribute to the way I cared for him. That experience also provided deep, hands-on familiarity with senior pet care. After he passed last Fall, my house was just too quiet. I welcomed a new puppy, Dash, within a few weeks. Raising him brought a whole new set of skills as I've navigated puppyhood from teething and potty training to post-neuter recovery. My obsession isn't just about dogs, but all animals. I've driven an injured bird to a local rescue center after finding a little guy in my yard, and was elated when I learned he'd made a full recovery. I also regularly fish fruit flies out of wine glasses and bees out of pools; watching them shake off and fly away brings me so much joy. Finally, I've been a pescatarian for over 14 years. A decision I made largely because I could no longer stand the thought of animals being in pain. Animals seem to feel that, as they always gravitate in my direction (peep the photo of my little bee friend!). You can rest assured, time with your fuzzy kiddo is more than a slot on the cal for me. Being around animals always brings pure joy to my day. I am a freelance live event producer and graphic designer. Most of my work is on the road, which means when I'm home, I'm *home*. And after being a Rover customer for close to a decade, I'm excited to offer the same care and attention to others' fuzzy kiddos as well. 🥰 I have a spacious, one-bedroom apartment where the common area is secured by three latching gates. These create space between the bedroom, the bathroom, and the entryway. This is not to say pets aren't allowed beyond those spaces; they're in place to support active supervision and prevent an adventurous escape. 😉 My apartment is one of 25 units per floor and is on a higher, completely enclosed floor--accessible by elevator or stairs (both behind closed doors). My front door automatically locks behind me, making it very secure. The complex includes a very spacious, fully enclosed, outdoor dog park that includes a working, pup-height water fountain. It's accessible only by residential key cards and is rinsed daily to keep it hygienic and safe.
“Sherry has been great with my pitbull. Pepper can be reactive & has alot of energy for a 10 yo dog & Sherry handles her great (even runs some of her energy out when needed) Sherry is also quick to respond, which is helpful because I tend to book last minute. Thank You Sherry!”

“Cristina did such a great job with Bea! She was very communicative and did an amazing job troubleshooting when Bea was being stubborn about going on a walk. Will definitely contact again and highly recommend!”

About: I'm excited to meet the center of your world. I've raised and loved dogs and cats of many shapes, sizes, and ages. Whether you're a busy professional or away from home, I'm happy to help. With experience of volunteering at shelters and raising both dogs and cats, I’m excited to take care of yours, too. I am currently only available for evening and weekend visits. I'm flexible with clear communication if you need an extra visit when travel is delayed. I'm very careful when opening and closing doors, as I know some pets can escape very easily. When outside, I keep dogs (and cats) on shorter leashes to maintain control and safety. When feeding and inside the home, I'll follow all care instructions. If I have questions, I'll reach out to receive clarification.
“Tara did an amazing job looking after my corgi. She sent me updates and photos of their walks and playtime and was easy to communicate with. My pup had so much fun - I’ll definitely be rebooking with her. Thanks again ! ☺️”

“Took excellent care of my 3 pups with varying personalities and ‘new place’ behaviors. Also, was very flexible when I had to extend their stay due to flight delays. Thank you!”

“Brandy has hosted Maggie a couple times and we’ve had a great experience! I appreciate her communication throughout the stay. Maggie is always excited to see her and comes back a happy pup. Thanks!”

“Marina was sooooo kind and patient!! Our dog, June, had never been to a dog sitter‘s place before and was very timid and nervous, but Marina gave her all the care and compassion to keep her comfortable and get her settled! We are so grateful for her care and updates!!”

“Riggs enjoyed his sleepover at Monica’s! Monica was so kind and took great care of our boy Riggs! We definitely recommend Monica and her family! We will be back!”

“Abby was communicative, friendly, and accommodating. She made the whole process easy, and Cortez seemed to really enjoy his time with her. Would definitely book again!”

“Haniyeh was absolutely amazing. She was so kind and so genuine with my dog. Her communication while I was gone was so great and sent tons of pictures which made me feel so comfortable. I can tell Maui was cared for so well by Haniyeh and would highly recommend her. Maui looks forward to seeing you again soon! THANK YOU 😊!!”

“We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with Kay and her family. They are a kind and welcoming bunch. Lemon enjoyed hanging with their adorable dog, Rocco, as well as getting to run and play in their big backyard. Would recommend!”

“Brooke and her family are great! I received many pictures throughout my dogs stay and he came home very tired, which was awesome! He is a high energy dog and they played with him and walked him! I will definitely be using them again (:”

“Kiara and Andy were amazing sitters! I was new to the Rover app, and had a sitter fall through last minute. My wife and I had a flight leaving in a few hours and needed help for our two doggo's. Kiara doesn't usually take in Dogs on short notice less than 24 hour notice, yet listened to my inquiry and asked critical questions. She took into account my current needs, and made adjustments to create a comfortable environment for my dogs. My dogs also were very happy for pick up. My wife and I are always skeptical about new sitters, because sometimes our dogs come back and act "funny". Yet this was the opposite and could tell they felt loved and happy in Kiara's home. Would definitely recommend her to others, just make sure you advanced notice!”

“Niki was great with Hakase! Hakase took a liking to Niki right away and I felt so comfortable having Niki look after him. She is very professional and caring! Thank you for looking after him, he had such a great time!”

“Adrianna was great! She was very intentional about introducing our dogs and making sure we felt comfortable. She sent lots of updates while we were away. Maggie got lots of playtime and good company. Would highly recommend!”

“Took great care of my cat! He was kept separate from her other kitties and had lots of toys to play with. Natalie sent frequent updates along with pictures and even had a spare litterbox for him to use so I didn't have to bring one myself! This was my first time having someone else watch my cat, and I was very pleased! I'm definitely booking with Natalie again!”

“We love having Kayla watch our senior kitty, Oberon for us when we're away. She takes excellent care of him and with each visit he's been letting his personality show a little bit more, so we know he likes and trusts her too!”
