“Zinnia was great and communicative the whole weekend! She truly went out of her way to make sure we knew our puppy was safe and comfortable around her other dogs. I would love to book her services again in the future.”

“WOW just WOW! Tricia gave Oscar all the love and attention he needed. I have an older dog who has high anxiety and digestive issues. Tricia ensured he had regular exercise and provided regular updates on his health. She correctly administered his food and supplements. I had never seen Oscar so relaxed and comfortable under anyone’s care other than my own. When I arrived for pickup he didn’t want to leave! He grabbed his toys and wanted to play! Tricia was timely and professional. She had his blanket folded and packed as well as his dog bowels cleaned the way I sent them. I unfortunately had a terrible experience with a different sitter and thought I would try Rover one last time. Tricia gave me a whole new positive experience. It is now the next day and Oscar is right at home with no signs of mistreatment or sickness. There is no other person I want to book with in the future other than Tricia. Thank you so much!!!”

“What a wonderful experience having Ezra pet sat for our two pups. He was personable, communicative, kind and professional. He has designed a special place at his home to make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and engaged. He loves what he does and it shows.”

“Mitchell is incredible. Not only was he super accommodating, with a fantastic home and environment for my puppy, but he was also consistently communicative, proactive, and most importantly amazing prepared and incredibly knowledgeable. From his overall demeanor and presence, to how he handles and treats not just my puppy but all the dogs he was caring for at the time, you can tell Mitchell knows what he’s doing and does it well. He was able to not just care for, but actually train and help cultivate an incredible environment for my puppy’s growth. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and he will be the only sitter I use moving forward after my first experience with him.”

“Second time booking with Gigi. She is always communicating with us, sending updates on our cats and pictures. She is also so kind and does a wonderful job taking care of our cats. About: Hi, I’m Hilary! I am a healthcare worker and animal lover who will make sure your pet isn’t missing out on any fun or cuddles while you’re away! My goal is to put your mind at ease with a dependable, consistent schedule and frequent updates. A little about me - I’ve lived with cats my whole life and I’m currently a proud mom to two rescue kittens. My kittens demand a high standard of excellence at all times (clean litter box, cold water, and lots of ear scratches) and I can assure you than your cat will receive the same royal treatment. :) My pet sitting experience includes caring for kittens and senior cats with a variety medical needs, including physical disabilities, special diets, the need for medication administration. I’d love to get to know you and your pet, so feel free to message me with any questions!

“Chloe did an amazing job taking care of my two cats, Luna and Crisp :) Crisp tends to be very shy actually came out to say hi to Chloe when she visited, which he rarely does with strangers. She gave me detailed updates on how they were doing, and took really solid pics of them :) When I got home, I could see they were really well taken care of :)”

About: I have grown up with pets of all shapes and sizes all my life. I helped raise a few puppies myself as well. I'm usually all my friends go to person to house sit and take care of their dogs. I'm the type of person who will keep your dog active, including taking them for walks, a fun run at the local dog park, a quick car ride for the occasional Puppuccino (if their diet allows for it), as well as to the local dog friendly brunch spot! I do work from home and have a super flexible schedule which makes it super easy to care for your pet. I have a sweet terrier mix of my own so I used to being around pets and understand what it takes to be a great pup parent! I have a dog of my own so I understand first hand the importance of pet care! I also walk my dog daily and understand the importance of keeping an active pet! I am with pets most of the day during the week since I work from home. I am very active with my dog as well as others so it's important to maintain an environment that is comfortable, safe, and present. I am happy to attend to any needs of all pets.

About: Hi! My name is Jenna, and caring for others has been my profession for over 10 years as a CNA and in-home caregiver, and that same patience, attentiveness, and compassion naturally carries over into how I care for animals, especially cats. I understand that every cat has a completely different personality and comfort level. Some want constant attention and playtime, while others simply want a calm, safe presence and someone they can slowly warm up to. I’m very patient, gentle, observant, and respectful of their space and routines. I’m experienced with feeding schedules, litter box care, medications, senior pets, shy/anxious cats, and giving owners peace of mind while they’re away. I’m also very clean, dependable, and happy to send updates/photos so you know your cat is safe, comfortable, and cared for. Whether your cat is social, sassy, cuddly, anxious, independent, or needs extra TLC, I genuinely enjoy building trust with them and making them feel comfortable in their own environment.

“Alyssa was so amazing with my two cats!! One is quite shy, but she did a great job of making him comfortable and socializing as well as providing updates. She also kept my apartment perfectly clean.”

“I recently entrusted Joanna with the care of my dog Nizzy, and I'm more than pleased to share my experience as a review. This was our first time going to Joanna, and Nizzy has some separation issues and can be nervous. Joanna's loving and patient approach made all the difference. She showed extraordinary kindness and understanding, making sure that Nizzy felt comfortable and cared for. Her ability to connect with and calm a dog experiencing anxiety is truly commendable. I am deeply grateful for her exceptional care and highly recommend her services to other pet owners. Will book again!”

About: I provide a calm, structured, stable environment for dogs of any size or temperament—especially those anxious, sensitive, or reactive—to relax and feel secure. I work from home and make my own hours, so my schedule is flexible. And I regularly take walks, so adding dog companions is easy! A dog’s primary stressor is uncertainty. An uncertain dog has no direction—they don't know what to do, where to go, or how to behave; they can’t predict outcomes and thus regard all stimuli as potential threats. So, to prevent uncertainty, I define clear rules, boundaries, and limitations that communicate my role, expectations, and competence as their temporary pack leader. This communication enables dogs in my care to feel secure, relieving them of the burden of leadership and encouraging them to relax. And once relaxed, I reinforce this state of mind through play and affection. This is how dogs in healthy packs interact with each other. They don’t fear; they confront. They don’t tolerate; they address. They don’t intimidate; they instruct. They don’t entice; they encourage. They don’t comfort; they correct. By me employing these same behaviors, dogs in my care—even and especially those most fearful or aggressive—regard me as one of them. They respect me because I respect them. An additional benefit to this approach is that I remain in control for the duration of the care. This control minimizes surprises, ensuring that the dogs’ behavior is predictable and therefore manageable, providing you with confidence and peace of mind. Oh, and I also give lots of massages. ;)
“StacyAnn was great! She was so nice to do such an early drop off for my dog and communication was excellent. I think my dog had a good time at her house. Would definitely recommend! ❤️”

“Definitely would recommend!!! My Daisy is very attached to me and has never been in someone else's care. The 2nd day when she got out of car she ran up to the door and couldn’t wait to dart in not even looking back at me. I got several updates & photos throughout the day. Will be booking with Christian & Hana again!”

“Spring break, passing through town my family thought it’d be neat to see a baseball game. On incredibly short notice, Nadia was able to watch my two fur babies. She was very responsive, helpful, caring and insightful. During the time I needed I received multiple photos and videos while of my dogs paying and relaxing. It was really a great experience and I couldn’t recommend Nadia enough! Thank you again Nadia!!”

She sent a text shortly after Lola arrived and said she was settling in and having a ball playing with the other pups. She also sent a video, photo and report card. Lola came home happy and tired. I'm thrilled with the excellent care Lola received on her first day and look forward to many more visits. Lola says Woof, when can I go back?”

About: I’m excited to fulfill my fervent passion for caring for fluffy companions while making your family’s life easier! Given that I'm building clientele, here’s $20 off your first booking with Rover in exchange for your feedback: https://www.rover.com/sit/susanb60924 I aim to provide you and your dearest pet with the best experiences and outcomes to ensure they’re happy, healthy, and safe in any environment. My communication will be clear, and follow-ups will be provided promptly. I look forward to developing a special bond and doting on your beloved pet! tl;dr: You’ll notice that my profile is robust, which is intentional because 1) I want to ensure that I’m a good fit for your family and pet’s needs, and 2) It’s essential to have a thorough and holistic view of your pet to ensure you’ll have peace of mind and assurance while you’re away. Experience: My entire life, I’ve gravitated to all creatures, big and small, and I finally have the opportunity to indulge my love of pets while helping others simultaneously! My professional background in the corporate digital technology industry and 40+ years of personal experience caring for animals is rooted in growing up in a rural Midwestern farming community. My earliest memories consist of helping my parents raise and train award-winning show and service dogs for people who have disabilities, breeding and showing Clydesdales, loving on my cats/kittens, and tending to countless aquatic and insect friends. Even though I’m allergic to all animals, except for dogs, you’d still find me frolicking in nature, surrounded by farm animals/livestock, obsessively studying and doting on my animal family and other cherished critters. While living in Chicago, I volunteered at PAWS (the Midwest’s largest non-profit no-kill animal shelter). I consistently travel locally and cross-country to pet sit for friends and family and never pass up an opportunity to be in the company of the most precious and bestest boys/girls (of the animal species, that is). Due to diligently catering to my pets, I have robust awareness and knowledge and am tremendously experienced with all aspects of a pet’s life, personality, and needs: puppies, seniors, rescues, special needs, terminal illness, parasitic/intestinal ailments, medications and administering subcutaneous fluid IVs (renal failure), food allergies, specialized diets/restrictions, treating other medical conditions, training, behavioral issues, and grooming/hygiene best practices. About my pets: My sassy and exuberant silky terriers (previously Miss Addi and now, 2-1/2-year-old Tater Tot) have been/are always by my side. Each moved interstate with us—living the city life in Chicago, then coastal Southern California, and now Phoenix. We’ve created countless joy-filled memories exploring and adventuring (road trips to national parks, vacationing in cities, visiting friends, dining out, extended sniff-patrol strolls, hiking in the mountains, camping, walks on the beach, kayaking, and boating). While living in CA, unfortunately, Miss Addi endured Cushing’s syndrome and started experiencing strokes and seizures. Shortly after moving to AZ, she was then diagnosed with terminal renal failure. We were determined and committed to giving her the most comfortable and best life possible. The final two years of her journey required around-the-clock monitoring, regimented medical interventions, and customized care. While it was such a gut-wrenching experience, we diligently researched, sought out experts, and immersed ourselves in learning about the intricacies of senior/emergency/end-of-life hospice care and how to grieve and cope with the loss of a beloved companion. She lived a full life, we celebrated her 16th birthday and she chose to pass over the rainbow bridge later the same day. A month later, Tater Tot joined our little family. Though he has experienced his fair share of shenanigans at an early age, he is such a resilient, demure, and cheerful little fella! We love him to pieces; he is simply the best! Further Context: I truly empathize and understand the level of decision-making that goes into finding trustworthy, quality care for your beloved companions. Since Rover’s inception, I’ve relied on its service model (as a consumer) due to limitations with traditional dog boarders, and it often wasn’t an ideal solution for my dog’s needs. While we’ve had extremely positive experiences with daycare/boarding facilities, we’ve also dealt with miscommunication, irresponsible and dangerous situations that resulted in stress-induced weight loss, neglect, behavioral issues, illness, and emergency vet visits. With thorough vetting, Rover gave me peace of mind that my most precious family member’s well-being and special needs were prioritized while catering to my busy schedule and last-minute travel engagements. Rover allowed me to move seamlessly through the demands of life and was instrumental while transitioning to new cities. I am grateful for the Rover Petting community and their continued care for my fur babies throughout all phases of their lives. My schedule is flexible, and I am more than happy to work together on a mutually agreed upon routine and care plan for your pet. For short-term stays/overnight boarding at my residence, please consider the following. Household members: - My Partner works remotely. He grew up with golden retrievers, golden doodles, and many other pets and sincerely loves all animals. He is kind-natured and has years of experience caring for and watching friends and family pets. - Tater Tot, our 2-1/2-year-old Silky Terrier, completed private 1:1 obedience training with a professional, certified, and highly reviewed dog trainer. Same for Miss Addi. - Fully vaccinated, receives tic/flea guard and preventative heartworm medications - Tater Tot responds to basic commands, plays well with dogs, and acts politely around humans and other animals. He is highly adaptable in all environments, walks well on a leash, is comfortable on car rides, and is potty-pad/crate-trained. - We do not give our pets people food/snacks due to health/diet restrictions. However, let us know if your pups love partaking in human foods! Living conditions and details: - Secure 2,000 sq. ft. residence in a gated multi-unit living community - Single floor plan layout is kept clean and sanitary - Puppy-proofed (bedrooms can be gated off, and there's enough space for a small pen enclosure/crate in the living area) - There are two small balconies with 3 ft high railings. We created a dedicated potty area on one of the balconies. - We DO NOT have an adjacent/walkout yard - An elevator or four small flights of stairs are required for walks outside - There is a doggy run/area on the property, but it does not meet our quality control standards - The neighborhood is dog-friendly and walkable. It’s comprised of a mix of residential homes, multi-unit complexes, shops, and restaurants. - Weather permitting, walks to Hance Park are ~1 mi. away
“David was awesome. He was super accommodating and easy to communicate with from start to finish. We had a quick trip to Arizona and needed someone to watch our dog, Koa, and he made the whole process stress-free. He kept us updated, sent plenty of pictures, and checked in multiple times so we always knew Koa was doing great. We’ll definitely be reaching out to David again next time we’re back in Arizona. Highly recommend!”

“My dog Kallie loved her time with Kenzie! She was tired and happy when I picked her up from daycare. Kenzie helped me out with last minute daycare and I couldn’t be more grateful 🤍”

About: I’ve had pets most of my life and have been an occasional dog sitter over the last 18 years. Currently, I work from home and have two golden retrievers, Rhaegar (7) and Ruthie (3). I care for all pets I sit as if they were my own, providing them with lots of love and belly rubs. My pet care plan is based on your dog’s typical schedule and preferences. My two dogs get along with most dogs and offer play time with our furry guests. My house has a backyard for dogs to play and run around in and the house also includes multiple places to sleep and play. I work from home part time and have plenty of time to play with dogs. We take potty breaks and play breaks throughout the day. I try not to be gone from the house while sitting for more than 6 hours at a time. I have a fenced yard. I also have two crates and a gate available for comfort and safety. Since my two dogs live in the house, I live keeping them in mind so most things are dog-proof/safe.

“Radler had a great time being loved by Sergio & Bethany and their sweet family while we were out of town. The meet and greet was a wonderful way to put our mind at ease. We also received the cutest pictures letting us know Radler was happy and well taken care of.”

“This is our 2nd time using this wonderful couple. It is easy leaving our boy Lawrence with Dawn and Andrew now. They take such good care of him and give him so much love. He is an older dog and their calm and fun environment is perfect for him. We are so grateful to have found them.”

“From our first meeting, it was clear that Chris truly has a heart for dogs. Our mini dachshund, Beau, isn’t always quick to warm up to new people, but he took to Chris right away. While away, we received daily summaries with photos and notes about how Beau was doing. We felt completely at ease knowing Beau was receiving such great care. Beau was in great spirits when we picked him up and we could tell he had a blast. Chris went above and beyond, and we highly recommend him.”

“Our Chessie, Archie, stayed for a long weekend. We were a bit worried since he is only 6 months old and had never been away from us but Ben did a wonderful job keeping us informed and allowing us to enjoy our time away.”

“She took amazing care of my dogs! I really appreciated the regular updates and pictures while I was away, and my dogs came home happy and well cared for. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Elizabeth is the best! She’s always been available whenever we have needed a sitter for our boy. He can be a total handful, but she still welcomes him with open arms. 😄 Knowing he’s off having his own little vacation with his buddy Kaiser makes it so much easier to leave. We’re pretty sure he gets more excited for his stays with Elizabeth than we do for our own trips!”

“Crystal was awesome! I had last minute plans change and my other dog sitter fell through. Crystal came to the rescue and took great care of my pups. I appreciated her communication. It’s hard to find people to trust to take care of your family but she definitely delivered! Thank you!”

Also, she has the most beautiful, big, grassy backyard for the dogs to play in. My pup came home happy and tired, which is always a good sign. Thank you, Marina!”
