“I'm super thankful for Elisa - she was able to help me out through the holiday (pretty last minute). She was very professional and while my cats were not very social, she made the effort to spend time with them and engage them.”

“Great help! She was quick to respond to my request to book, came over for a meet and greet, and left great notes about how the visits went. She even went above and beyond, by washing my dog’s bowls and taking out some trash I had put by my back door and forgotten to get to before I left the house. Would absolutely be happy to book again!”

“We hired Pete to take care of our house, cats and plants while we were away and he did a wonderful job. This was my first time hiring a stranger and using Rover and we were very happy with the service. Pete was very reliable and kept us up to date on everything happening with the cats and house each day. He had to deal with a few pet messes along the way as well as well as a dislodged drip system bubbler. Everything was handled with care. Most importantly it is clear that he has a love for animals. We will definitely hire him again.”
About: I have had dogs since I was a little kid, and over the last 10 years taken care of dozens of my friend’s dogs for a quick walk or a week long stay. I recently lost my 10 year old Golden Retriever, and am missing that puppy time- so I’d love to help you out with yours. I’m lucky to work from home and set my own schedule, so I am able to be fairly flexible during the week for your pup. I have a fenced in back yard as well as a doggy door. So your dog will be safe and have the freedom to go in and out as they please (with your approval).
“Bailey does a great job with our senior dog. She is very communicative and keeps us informed. She’s is quick to notice anything that might need attention and goes above and beyond. Most importantly, we get back home to a happy and well cared for fur-baby. 😊”

“Lauren was absolutely amazing! It was our first time leaving our dog with someone new and upon meeting Lauren we knew she was a perfect fit. She is so friendly and caring. Jet couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and new friend!”

“Avery was great! Avery sent me photos of Nikey playing, walking and kept me informed on supplies needed for Nikey while I was gone and she kept me updated on his food while I was away. Thank you Avery.”

“Customizes everything to your dog’s needs. My dog has major quirks but is a love bug once he trusts you. I finally got to take a vacation and not worry about him. I can’t recommend her enough!”

About: I've owned my dog, Sparrow, for just over 2 years now. Additionally, I spent most of college watching my friends' pets, taking them out on walks/hikes and providing extended care when they were out of town. I work most days from home allowing me to provide constant care and attention. When your pet is with me they will be constantly cared for and attended to. I have a large fenced backyard giving your pet space to roam and explore safely. My dog Sparrow is very friendly and will love to have a friend to spend time with.
“We love Rae! And so does our discerning old cattle dog! She’s been caring for him for years, and we trust her implicitly to adapt if things don’t go as planned (like he refuses to take his meds 🙃).”

About: I’ve had all sorts of pets throughout my life from dogs to cats to frogs to fish. I take pride in being able to earn your pet’s trust so there is plenty of play and socialization when I visit. I run my own technology business from home so am flexible throughout the week to visit your pet any time of day. Let me know what works for you! I will play with your pet, keep it socially stimulated and ease its anxiety while you’re away. I take pride in keeping things clean and putting your pet’s health and safety first.
“10/10 Amazing Sitter!! We had never had a pet sitter before and weren’t sure what to expect, but Shelby put us at ease right away. She went above and beyond, sending detailed messages about her visits with our kitty with tons of photos, and even volunteered to come by a few extras days while we were gone to ensure our cat was safe and happy. We felt so relieved that we found such a kind and gentle sitter for our fur baby. We will definitely will be booking Shelby for any and all pet sitting needs in the future. Seriously I cannot recommend her enough!!”

About: I’ve been a pet owner of two Boston Terriers over the past 20 years. They have been one of the biggest source of joy in my life, so I know how important caring for pets is. I’ll take care for your pet the way I’d want someone to care for my pet. I’m currently unemployed and taking a sabbatical from a corporate job I worked for 10+ years. I’ve been using this time off to travel and learn to surf. My days usually consist of getting in a workout and visiting family and friends. My schedule is flexible and I can work around your and your pets needs. I have a fenced backyard with grass and doggy door access for small to medium pets. Larger dogs will need my assistance to get access using the slightest glass door. I’ll only take care of one family’s pet(s) at a time.
“Abigail is the absolute best and the only person I trust with my girls! Takes the best care of them and can always count on her to come through, even with last minute requests. My girls get so excited to see her and are at ease with her presence. I almost don’t want anyone else to hire her because I don’t want them to her from us but she deserves the extra love!”
“Lisa is very responsive, kind, and trustworthy. She goes above and beyond for my puppy. She has lots of experience with taking care of both elderly and sick dogs. I will be a recurring client!”

Nicole was wonderful! She was quick to respond, punctual, and made sure my puppy was well taken care of. I received many pictures + videos of them which made me so happy while I was at work. She made sure to go above and beyond by helping train my puppy and reinforcing the things we are teaching him. I would recommend her + will definitely be using again!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Scottsdale stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Scottsdale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Scottsdale with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
