About: Certified vet tech for 7 years! I’ve always pet sat for clients, friends, and family on the side! My biggest help is word of mouth. I have plenty of references I can send! I love bonding with your pet and making them feel safe as well as allowing you to be less stressed during your time away from them! I currently am full time employed at an animal hospital. My favorite thing to do is keep you updated with pictures each day of your cutie or cuties! I currently work full time in Fountain Hills! I’m off one full day during the week and off Sundays as well and most Saturdays. I occasionally work Saturdays but only until noon! For now I would have to stop by morning and night (lunchtime on my off days or if your house is near my work) and after work!

About: I grew up on a farm taking care of animals my whole life, in all shapes and sizes! When I moved to the city for school, lots of people asked me to pet sit and I loved it so much I hope to continue! I just moved to the Phoenix area and I can’t wait to meet new customers (and their owners 😉). Currently my schedule is completely flexible and I can accommodate any needs, even very short notice! Feel free to reach out day of and we can make it work! I’m happy to follow any routines you have with your animals! Since my schedule is so flexible, I’m comfortable feeding or walking morning, noon, or night. I’m also comfortable delivering medication.

About: I was born and raised on a farm in the midwest, so i’ve always had a special spot in my heart for animals. I started in high school, and have continued running my business in my early twenties. my mom is also a trusted and well known pet sitter in town, so she’s taught me everything I need to know. I’ll love your pets like my own! I have a very flexible schedule at the moment - and i’m able to take multiple bookings. The only days of the week i’m planned to be gone from home are Mon, Wed, and Thurs - 3 hours each day. Other than that i’m home full time! I’m a perfectionist at heart, and very detail oriented. So you tell me exactly how to do something, and it will get done that way!

About: I love animals! Growing up I took care of dogs, hamsters, cats, turtles, and bunnies.. Since I nannied not only can I take care of kids, but nearly any animal under the sun! I love to curl up with a good book and give your animal some love! I just graduated so I’m currently working to save money. I am a full time animal and house sitter. I go to the gym in the morning around 3-5 days a week. I am an artist and a book worm, so having an animal to keep me company makes a huge difference! I am completely vegan, so I probably won’t be feeding your pup any table scraps, however I can get down with some animals.. walks, snuggles, deep conversations, and lots of playtime/love! If you want me to do something special for your animal just let me know! We can do story time and tuck them in.. or.. Your animal and I will send you some creative selfies! Truly the world has no limit to what I would do for our fuzzy friends.

About: I’ve taken care of many animals, from Australian shepherds, American short hair cats, retrievers, and chihuahuas. Ready for all situations. Love all cats and dogs! Also have experience with hamsters, guniea pigs, turtles and fish! I typically work 9-5. I have availability in the morning or at night. I am willing to comfort the animal at their home as well. Animals comfort is the number one priority. I can’t host animals typically but can travel and use my car to transport as well. Love animals and their little homes. Unfortunately have 3 animals of my own at the home and cannot have them at my home.

About: I’ve taken care of others dogs for at least 5 years and I’ve had two dogs of my own since I was born. I’ve done anything from drop in visits, to overnight stays, to dog walks and have always gotten positive feedback. I’m home from college for the summer so I have lots of spare time on my hands. What better way to spend the break than with dogs! When I dogsit I make sure to always keep the doors shut so that there’s no hidden potty accidents and so that they can’t escape out the front door. I always pay attention to where the dog is and I try to keep the dog active by playing with toys or taking them on a walk.

About: I have had dogs all my life and love all breeds - big or small. I will take care of your pet like it was my own with lots of love and care. My children are all grown up and in college, so my days are completely open. I love going for walks and playing with them out back in our fenced in yard. Sometimes they just need to chill with you there. I have all wood floors and a fenced in yard that is big enough for lots of running. I have no problem keeping the dogs separate or together.

About: Looking for more than just a pet sitter? Hi! My name is Wynteria, but I go by Wynter (like the season!) I'm a proud dog and cat mom with a 1-year-old Border Collie and two bonded girl cats who completely have my heart. That means I understand every pet has their own personality—whether they're calm and cuddly or full of endless zoomies, I can care for both the calm and the crazy! With 5+ years of experience caring for dogs and cats, I've done it all: playtime, walks, feeding, fresh water, baths, cuddles, and plenty of love. Expect photos and videos, with updates each visit, to bring clarity and comfort! My goal is simple—to make your pet feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away, just like they're part of my own family. 🐾🤍 As an entrepreneur and small business owner, I have the flexibility to build my schedule around the pets I care for. Alongside running my own business, I have plenty of time to provide reliable, attentive care—not just quick drop-ins. Whether your pet needs extra playtime, cuddles, or a consistent routine, I'm able to give them the time and attention they deserve while you're away. Your pet's routine is my priority. I'll carefully follow your instructions—from feeding schedules and medications to walks, playtime, and house rules—because no one knows your pet better than you. My goal is to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable until you're home.

She quickly responded to our pet sit request. She asked great questions about the care of our puppy. We are definitely booking Amanda again!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fort McDowell choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
