“Brooke and her family are great. Colt was well cared for and loved during his stay. He is an active dog with quite the peresonality, for us to find a home he can be well cared for and happy is beyond excellent! Thank you all for his care and being part of your family for his week away from home!”
“Monna and Clint were wonderful with our pups! They were loving and caring and sent lots of photos that made us so happy! Pups were tired when we got them home so we know they had lots of fun! ❤️”

“Katherine and Tanner took great care of Dakota during her stay. Communication was easy and consistent, and they clearly made an effort to keep her comfortable and cared for. Dakota came home happy and relaxed — always a good sign! Would definitely trust them again.”

“Eric watched Harley for us for 11 days! We got lots of updates with personalized photos and videos of Harley while we were gone. Harley had a blast staying at his home! She was absolutely spoiled with walks and trips to the park. We could tell he really cared for her and we will be using him again in the future!”

“Sara took good care of Hermee for almost a week while we were out of town. We enjoyed getting the pictures showing him having a good stay. We will be happy to have Sara watch him again if the need arises.”

“Lauren was great! She took care of our dog and cats like they were her fur babies. We received photos every day so we could see how happy our pets were. I highly recommend her services!”

“Took very good care of our dog Luna while we were away on an extended trip. Sent pictures daily, gave her walks each morning, and kept in communication throughout the trip. I would definitely book with Catherine again.”

“My doggos and I love Joyce and Natalie. Their house is a home away from home for them. And it’s their first time. It’s like a grandma visit for the week. They keep you updates and send pictures everyday. Highly recommend.”

“First time Rover users here! My husband and I usually only leave our dog with family and have never had anybody else watch him. We did not want him to have to stay at petsmart, or another facility since our trip was almost a week long. I had so much anxiety trying to find a place for him that I could trust. Mindy alleviated ALL our anxiety right away. We had our meet and greet and our dog Odin immediately felt at home. We knew he was in safe hands. We know Odin tends to be a handful and I was worried that he may be too crazy or misbehave, but Mindy made me feel at ease that he would not be to much for them. The best part is that she sent me 2-3 pictures At least a day while we were gone which was a pleasant surprise because most sitters would not take the time out of their day to do so! She went above and beyond for our boy and as he is our first and only dog we are so grateful to find somebody who loves dogs as much as we do! Not to mention our dog has history of seizures and we wanted to make sure he was at a place that we felt safe if anything were to happen while away. Mindy asked all the right questions and he had no issues during his stay. We hope to be able to book with her for any future vacations, her family is the best!”

“Su made our first Rover experience super smooth and comfortable! She sent tons of photos and updates during Duke’s stay, it made us smile so much! Thank you Su and family for giving Duke such a fun and loving environment while we were away.”

“I am so glad I found Richard! He took great care of my two dogs. He responded very quickly to my texts and had a comfortable home for them. It made my vacation so much more pleasant getting frequent photos and updates, knowing the girls were in good hands.”

“5/5!!! Mike and Sherilene were great hosts for Addie over the weekend. From start to finish had a great experience and Addie from the photo updates had a blast in the big backyard and pool! Thanks again and would highly recommend.”

“Michelle treats her guests like her own pets. Cyrus is always there for dropoff and pickup, offering his assistance as needed. When I arrive, her dogs and mine assemble around me for love as if we are all a collective tribe. I couldn't ask for a better pet sitter.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fort McDowell
Dylan was wonderful so accommodating for last minute adjustments. Most importantly, took great care of our four legged baby. We came back to a very happy puppy, and loved receiving updates from his stay. We will keep Dylan in mind for future bookings and recommend him to anyone. Thank you!!

Kelly came highly recommended from a friend and did not disappoint. She communicated quickly, was friendly and professional, and sent pictures daily (some of the best photographs of any Rover pet sitter we've used). Our golden had an amazing time and was well taken care of... I swear he looked disappointed when we showed up and he realized he had to leave. Thank you, Kelly!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
