“Our family is so happy to have found Annabelle to take care of our little dog. She takes her job seriously and is very good at it. At our meet and greet she showed me an inviting outdoor space and areas in her home where our dog would be. While we were on vacation we received photos and videos every morning of their visit to the dog park. We could see that all the dogs were well behaved and happy when they were there with her. I love that she has a routine and provides an opportunity for the dogs to exercise in a safe place. She sent regular texts and photos of the day’s events. She administered his meds and monitored his meals, making sure he was eating well. She texted me when she had questions or concerns. Her communication skills are excellent. What I appreciate most about Annabelle is that she has a sweet, caring demeanor with my dog. I will definitely be asking Annabelle next time we need someone to take care of him.”

“Jackie was wonderful with my senior dog, Shelby. I could tell immediately upon our first ‘meet & greet’ in Jackie’s home that my dog was completely at ease there and totally relaxed—which gave me great peace of mind. Jackie sent daily updates and was very adept at administering Shelby’s meds and keeping her doggie routine. 😊. I highly recommend Jackie to anyone looking to have a kind, reliable and communicative person looking after their pet.”

“Anna was so kind and communicative our whole trip. We got lots of videos and photos and could see how happy and well cared for our girl was! Would definitely recommend booking with Anna!”

“Cleve and Jan were the most wonderful sitters as always!! We love that they have a whole setup ready to go with crate and bed included. It makes Gigi really feel like she’s going on a 5 star vacation every time :)”

“Brooke is amazing and gives us daily updates! Scarlett was excited to stay there again. So grateful to have found a lovely family for our pup to stay with again!”

“Fantastic! She took great care of Ace the pup on short notice for 10 days. He seemed happy in the pictures and when I picked him up the last day. Would recommend Jessica for your pet sitting needs!”

“Veronica was amazing. She took great care of our dog Birdie while we were out of town. She made us feel super comfortable and provided excellent care of our pup. She kept us updated everyday we were gone and even monitored our dogs eating habits as she gets a little anxious when we are away. She went above and beyond to make sure us and our dog were comfortable and we really appreciate her. We will definitely be using her again next time we go out of town.”

“First time Rover users here! My husband and I usually only leave our dog with family and have never had anybody else watch him. We did not want him to have to stay at petsmart, or another facility since our trip was almost a week long. I had so much anxiety trying to find a place for him that I could trust. Mindy alleviated ALL our anxiety right away. We had our meet and greet and our dog Odin immediately felt at home. We knew he was in safe hands. We know Odin tends to be a handful and I was worried that he may be too crazy or misbehave, but Mindy made me feel at ease that he would not be to much for them. The best part is that she sent me 2-3 pictures At least a day while we were gone which was a pleasant surprise because most sitters would not take the time out of their day to do so! She went above and beyond for our boy and as he is our first and only dog we are so grateful to find somebody who loves dogs as much as we do! Not to mention our dog has history of seizures and we wanted to make sure he was at a place that we felt safe if anything were to happen while away. Mindy asked all the right questions and he had no issues during his stay. We hope to be able to book with her for any future vacations, her family is the best!”

“Monna and Clint were wonderful with our pups! They were loving and caring and sent lots of photos that made us so happy! Pups were tired when we got them home so we know they had lots of fun! ❤️”

“Laurie was awesome! She sent regular updates with photos/videos of our pups. We loved seeing them playing with her dogs or cuddled up with them on the couch. It made us feel so much better knowing our babies were loved and felt comfortable in their home while we were away. We will definitely be using her again!”

“We have had Leo stay with Julie twice and each visit has gone so smoothly and easily. She responds quickly and provides so many fun photos of Leo while we’re away! Could not ask for a better experience!”

“Eric was wonderful with our dog! He was very thoughtful and proactive, reaching out beforehand to understand all aspects of her care and routine. During the stay, he sent regular updates and great photos, which helped us feel completely at ease. When my travel plans changed due to flight delays, Eric was incredibly flexible and responsible in adjusting to the situation. Nyla was clearly happy, comfortable, and well cared for when we returned. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, highly recommend!”

“Pam did an excellent job watching my dog Rex during my weekend excursion. I felt confident after dropping him off that he was in good hands. She was also patient with his separation anxiety issues and challenges that presented. Pam showed a great amount of professionalism, kindness, and empathy during his stay. We highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I’m Lauren, a Scottsdale-based pet sitter who believes dogs deserve a loving home environment while you’re away and not a stressful kennel. I grew up on a farm with many house pets. I have 35 years of animal care experience and a special place in my heart for dogs! Your pup will get personalized care, lots of attention, playtime in a fenced yard, swimming in a pool, daily walks to my neighborhood walking trails, cuddles, and a cozy place to relax. I treat every pet like family and love sending photo updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Whether your dog loves adventure or just wants a comfy couch and belly rubs, I’m here to make them feel safe, happy, and loved. I am currently a stay at home mom with kids in school. Our biggest strength is round the clock animal care. We treat animals as if they’re our own and with all the attention and care they deserve. I live in a gated community, with a fenced in yard. We begin our days with food and then a walk on our walking trail in my community. Afterwards, we like to swim in my fenced in pool in my backyard. The entire day consists of belly rubs, pets, snuggles, and as much playtime as your pup needs! I also help with crate training, and making sure we instill your house rules for animals here as well! As an animal parent myself, I understand that all animals require different things!
“Caroline was very helpful watching our boys during our wedding week! She was so patient to our boys after a few accidents and was still so incredibly kind to them even after! 10/10 recommend!!”
“Rebecca and her lovely family took such wonderful care of Jasper and Winnie! My pups enjoyed all the extra play time and attention the children showered on them. They loved running and playing in their huge backyard too. I do believe Winnie and Jasper were actually smiling when I picked them up :) We would love to come back for another stay, thank you!!”

“Rossana and Kurt are amazing! They took such good care of our dog while we were away and they were flexible when we had a travel issue. Truly wonderful people! We are thankful for them and the great level of service they provided.”

“Joyce helped watch our dog for almost a 2 week period. Joyce provided daily updates which was very comforting while we were out of town. We also had some travel delays and Joyce was extremely accommodating to schedule timing changes. We will definitely be rebooking with Joyce!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fort McDowell
Kelly came highly recommended from a friend and did not disappoint. She communicated quickly, was friendly and professional, and sent pictures daily (some of the best photographs of any Rover pet sitter we've used). Our golden had an amazing time and was well taken care of... I swear he looked disappointed when we showed up and he realized he had to leave. Thank you, Kelly!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
