“Brooke and her family are amazing!! They cared for Billy, my older chihuahua mix for five days. Billy is typically timid but he immediately fell in love with Brooke’s kids Emma and Evan! They sent pictures and messages daily, provided his daily medication and went for walks. He had so much fun and did not want to leave. I will definitely have Brooke and her family watch Billy next time I leave town. Thank you so much!!!”

“Cleve and Jan are exceptional! Knowledgable, kind and giving with special needs was a priority on our "woofie" list and all the boxes were checked. Very happy with the care they gave our "4legged" ball of fluff. Peace of mind and a happy pup is an essential combination when boarding our lil" pooch, IMHO. Thank you and we will board again!”

“Laurie was so great with Molly! Molly seemed comfortable from the very start and fit right into their “pack”. I’m so thankful we got all the photos to keep us updated all week too! Thank you Laurie & family!!”

About: Hi! I’m Lauren, a Scottsdale-based pet sitter who believes dogs deserve a loving home environment while you’re away and not a stressful kennel. I grew up on a farm with many house pets. I have 35 years of animal care experience and a special place in my heart for dogs! Your pup will get personalized care, lots of attention, playtime in a fenced yard, swimming in a pool, daily walks to my neighborhood walking trails, cuddles, and a cozy place to relax. I treat every pet like family and love sending photo updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Whether your dog loves adventure or just wants a comfy couch and belly rubs, I’m here to make them feel safe, happy, and loved. I am currently a stay at home mom with kids in school. Our biggest strength is round the clock animal care. We treat animals as if they’re our own and with all the attention and care they deserve. I live in a gated community, with a fenced in yard. We begin our days with food and then a walk on our walking trail in my community. Afterwards, we like to swim in my fenced in pool in my backyard. The entire day consists of belly rubs, pets, snuggles, and as much playtime as your pup needs! I also help with crate training, and making sure we instill your house rules for animals here as well! As an animal parent myself, I understand that all animals require different things!
“Toffee and Louis loved their stay with Samantha and got plenty of love and attention from her kids. Thanks for sharing messages and pictures throughout the stay and for taking extra care with our old man! We will hopefully see you again soon!”

“This was our first time using River and Jessica helped make us feel very comfortable. We were able to do a meet and greet beforehand to make sure it was a good fit. We got daily updates and knew Freddie was well taken care of. He came home exhausted which is a good sign of a good weekend! We would definitely use Jessica again.”

“Veronica and her family are so nice to our Deja and are always excited to watch her. We get daily updates and pictures. They treat Deja like one of their own!”

“Mindy is the BEST! Our goldendoodle Maple loves being at her home and Mindy takes care of her like one of her own. Communication is awesome and she always keeps me updated with photos and messages. Thanks so much, Mindy!”

“Monna and Clint were wonderful with our pups! They were loving and caring and sent lots of photos that made us so happy! Pups were tired when we got them home so we know they had lots of fun! ❤️”

“Richard was absolutely wonderful with my dog! From the moment we connected, he was professional, attentive, and clearly passionate about animals. He kept me updated throughout the stay with photos and messages, which gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was happy and well cared for. Would defiantly hire him next time. Thanks Richard for taking good care of Zaiden.”

“Eric was a loving and attentive caregiver to my dogs! Provided me with frequent updates and photos . I adored little videos he was sending us ...helped me tremendously , made me feel at peace while being away from them. My dogs were in good hands 🙌 I truly appreciate Eric and will definitely trust to have Chloe and Charlie stay with him again !😁”

“Absolutely love that my pups could have a special Thanksgiving surrounded by love from Ash and her family. Ash gave them each their special pup cups which is so sweet. All my pups are foodies and it was wonderful that this was included without any upcharge that would be typical at a boarding facility. As usual I was sent such cute pictures and videos. The newest picture is now my phone screen saver. Don't hesitate to use Ash! She's truly the best.”

“Pam was great with our 5 year old Boston Terrier Sophie girl. girl. She took her for morning walks and provided several updates and pictures of her during her stay. I will definitely use Pam again.”

“Caroline was very helpful watching our boys during our wedding week! She was so patient to our boys after a few accidents and was still so incredibly kind to them even after! 10/10 recommend!!”
“Matt and Rebecca were amazing! Ollie had a fabulous time. We enjoyed the photos they sent each day — especially the ones of him running it full speed, playing fetch, and snuggling with their girls! We cannot recommend them enough! ❤️”

“Lori did a great job taking care of our dog. She sent many updates and pictures which helped ease our mind. Our dog seems to have a great time and will definitely book with Lori again!”

“We had short weekend trip to Disneyland. Joyce was awesome and took great care of our fur baby. She sent lots of pictures throughout the day and kept us updated on how our baby was doing.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fort McDowell
Kelly came highly recommended from a friend and did not disappoint. She communicated quickly, was friendly and professional, and sent pictures daily (some of the best photographs of any Rover pet sitter we've used). Our golden had an amazing time and was well taken care of... I swear he looked disappointed when we showed up and he realized he had to leave. Thank you, Kelly!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
