About: Hi, I’m Jesse! I live in The Islands community in Gilbert, and I recently said goodbye to my sweet 12-year-old bulldog. I truly miss having a dog around, and I’d love to share my home and care with yours. Whether your dog loves playtime, cuddles, or just relaxing in the sun, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and at home. I work from home, which means I can give your pup plenty of attention throughout the day. I will also appreciate the company of having your dog hang out with me. My home has a spacious backyard on the lake with real grass, perfect for playtime and potty breaks. More importantly, I know how much dogs mean to their families, and I’ll care for yours as if they were my own.

“Teresa was great! She communicated well and sent us updates on our pups, which we love! Her home was clean and tons of space for our pups. We will absolutely be rebooking with Teresa in the future. :)”

“We love Lynn! She has been our go to for almost a year now! She is great with Petey and he loves having sleepovers whether it is one night or a week! She keeps us updated and sends us pictures throughout his stay! She takes him on walks and provides snuggles and head scratches as needed!! We highly recommend!!”

“Sage did a fantastic job watching my two dogs for a week! Every day he sent me statuses and pictures of the dogs. I would definitely recommend Sage for door sitting at his home.”

“Jerron had incredible communication and responded very quickly. He agreed to watch our dog on short notice and kept us in the loop during his stay. Our dog is very energetic which he didn’t mind and took him on several mile walks.”

“We were grateful to find Natalie when we needed a dogsitter for a week-long trip out of state. She was very friendly and accommodating of dropoff and pickup times, as well as coordinating a meet and greet and play date beforehand. Our little Boston, Lola, enjoyed playing with Natalie’s sweet pup, too. Natalie sent me a few photos while we were gone and took Lola on walks. We’ll definitely look to use Natalie again for future trips and dog sitting needs and would recommend her!”

“Wonderful! My Buddy was so well looked after and had such a good time. This was his first overnight with Christopher and Laura and they did a fantastic job. I feel that Buddy is safe and happy, plus he enjoyed playing with the other dogs, especially Preacher. Thanks so much!”

About: Hi! Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started caring for animals at a young age, was involved in FFA, and later worked for a veterinarian, where I gained hands-on experience with a wide range of dogs and situations. I also foster for a Labrador Retriever rescue, which has given me experience with dogs of all personalities — from confident and playful to shy and unsure. I have two dogs of my own: Griffin, my 14-year-old Lab who I’ve raised since he was a puppy, and Mia, my Golden Retriever who joined our family three years ago. Having a senior dog has taught me how important patience, routine, and gentle care are. Your dog will be treated like one of my own — with lots of love, attention, and care. I work a full time job just five minutes from home. My dog comes to work with me and yours can too. I am only available for pet care in my home. Your dog’s safety is very important to me. I have a secure, fenced yard and a doggie door so they can move comfortably between indoors and outdoors. There is also a swimming pool for dogs who love the water, and I always supervise closely anytime dogs are near the pool.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Gilbert
Laree and Keith are a delightful couple. They took our Teddy in on relatively short notice and he had a great stay with them. It was also our first time using Rover and they were fantastic with communicating and sending pics to keep us at ease. Already looking forward to the next time we need a sitter, as they will be our first call !

Adriana is absolutely wonderful! I cannot express how appreciative I am for the love and kindness she showed my Bennie during his stay with her. I didn’t worry about Bennie while I was gone because she kept me updated so I knew he was in good hands. I think Bennie really enjoyed his time with her and Kayla! 🖤

Kristi is amazing! She made my dog and me feel so comfortable with her from the moment we met her. She went out of her way to help my dog acclimate to her home and sent regular videos to assure me he was well cared for. Kristi is a wonderful person and an exceptional dog sitter!
Marla is the dog whisperer! My dachshund Banjo had such a great time hanging out with her and her other 2 dachshunds! She sent me lots of pictures, videos. She gave Banjo ducky treats, took him on walks. She texted me links to the products she uses for her dogs. My dog was spoiled and probably did not want to come back home. Definitely will be having Marla sit for us again!

Giovanna and Michael were incredible hosts to Dexter! They went above and beyond keeping me updated and informed on Dexter’s day. I appreciated SO much how many photos and videos they sent! I could genuinely tell Dexter was the happiest boy staying with them! 100000 out of 10!

They were the best for Harry! Joseph and Allison are so caring and kind to not only the our dog but to me as well. They really went above and beyond. He did so well and we had plenty of updates and photos. That was our first time leaving our dog away from our house and he seemed to have a great time. We will definitely be using again!

Kiersten did an amazing job caring for our dogs! She kept us updated throughout their stay with regular photos and videos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. She was also very accommodating with our dogs’ special diet, which isn’t always easy to manage. We were especially grateful when our flight was delayed and we had to pick up our dogs very late. Kristen was incredibly understanding and flexible, and we truly appreciated her kindness. Our dogs were well cared for, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend Kristen and would absolutely book with her again!

Lance was exactly what we were looking for, for our two dogs! They both settled right in very easily, no anxiety from my poodle who tends to get separation anxiety. Lance took several pictures of them on his couch and playing at the park and kept us updated throughout the 2 weeks he had them. Lance was very accommodating as we had a little bit of a later pick up then expected. We would love to book again in July. Thank you Lance!

Sage took excellent care of Louie. He came home better behaved, more confident, and noticeably improved. I was especially impressed with how professionally Sage handled introductions to other dogs. I felt completely at ease leaving Louie in his care and would highly recommend him. Julianne

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
