“Thanks so much to Laree and Keith! I couldn’t be happier that I found you this week. Forest loved you guys and was worn out every evening from his new friends. This made my week so much easier and Forest got a bath too! Wonderful experience!”

“We recently relocated from Washington to Arizona. We are so happy to have found Katie! She is an amazing person with a kind heart and a true love for dogs! Leo literally loved her from the moment he met her! He is eager and excited to go to her home for daycare every time! Upon pick up, I can see how happy he is! I love that she sends updates and photos. If you have the opportunity to use Katie to care for your doggo, I highly recommend you do! She is absolutely Amazing!”

“I feel so lucky to have found Allison & Joseph on Rover! They are a perfect sitter match for my small 10lb dog. It gives me such peace of mind knowing that my pup is in good hands while I am away and he is in an environment where he is happy.”

About: We’ve been loving and caring for dogs for over 8 years, and pups have always been part of our everyday life. From frequently watching my sister’s dog while she travels, owning our own, to helping out friends and family, we’ve gained lots of hands-on experience—and plenty of tail wags along the way. Kamila works from home, so your dog will get all-day care, attention, and snuggles—never long stretches alone. Eric has owned dogs ranging from pugs to big pitties, so we’re comfortable with all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. We’re also proud dog parents to a Rottweiler and an English bulldog, giving us experience with both high-energy playtime and laid-back couch days. Our dogs love all types of dogs from seniors to little pups. They are very gentle when they play with others and also respect other dogs’ boundaries if they just want to relax. They grew up with a senior dog so they are good with matching their energy if they just want to relax. We’re comfortable giving medications and sticking to your dog’s normal routine to keep them happy and stress-free. We love keeping pet parents in the loop and will send regular photo and video updates, so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, loved, and having the best time. Zeiders and Capone can’t wait to share their massive toy collection with your pups🐾💛 Kamila works from home so your dog will be watched over and cared for all day. She can devote as much time as they need to caring for them. We have a fenced yard as well as barriers inside our home to keep the pets we are looking after away from any potential harmful objects in the home.
“Danielle was so sweet and awesome! She made sure I was comfortable before leaving my fur baby! She was great on keeping me updated! Highly recommend her to dog sit your fur baby!!”

“Jerron took great care of our two dogs while we were visiting Mesa and was very quick in responding to my last minute request. I think my boys were couch potatoes the whole day, but that tells me they were comfortable there and were able to get some respite from our travels. We will book with Jarron again next time we need a sitter in Mesa!”

About: I only take a limited amount of pets so that your fur babies have social time with less stress. I have experience caring of my family's senior dog, administering medication and following a strict schedule. I work at home, have a wonderful 14 lbs American Shitzu that loves hanging out with a small group of new friends. Fenced in backyard provides safe outdoor time. I work from home and have a fenced in backyard. We also have a neighborhood park for walks during nice weather. Your dogs will follow their home feeding regimen at our house and we can follow most schedules to make your fur babies at home, reducing anxiety (compared to a business)
“We needed a last-minute sitter for our dog Nora and luckily Diana was available. Nora came back a happy girl! Diana was super easy to communicate with, we’ll definitely use her services again the next time we’re in Phoenix!”

“Christopher and company did a great job with Blizzard, and they did it on short notice. We would have been forced to miss an engagement were it not for them. Bliz was happy there, had friends of the four paw persuasion to play with. A big win.”

“Stephanie was amazing! Very attentive to our two dogs and was great at keeping us up to date on how they were doing! Our pups always seemed happy in the photos and we will definitely ask her to watch them again! We were running later than we’d expected for their pick up and she was very gracious and patient with us, which we appreciated. Highly recommend her!!”

“We were so fortunate to have Courtney watch our Maggie this past Thursday and Friday. She was so good with our little girl since this was the first time she stayed with anyone other than my daughter. She was scared at first and Courtney sent the cutest picture of her in her lap as her co-worker. We are very pleased in how well she loved our little girl as much as we do. I would highly recommend her to everyone. Thanks again Courtney. Five plus stars for sure. 😊😋”

About: I grew up on the east coast with an abundance of animals ranging from lizards, cats, dogs, snakes, rats, mice, frogs, toads, fish, crabs, and snails! I was often the first call amongst my friends when they needed someone to watch their pet while they were away, and grew very fond of caretaking. I have two dogs myself, and two cats. The dogs have a fully fenced cinder block grass yard, with a high latch metal gate, and grass with a large tree for shade. We also have a splash pad and a doggie pool to keep them cool in the heat! I am a stay at home mom. My son is 3 years old, and great with pets since he has been around them since birth. Our schedule allows me to be at home full time for unlimited potty breaks, morning/sunset walks, and constant attention/play time. Your dog must be tolerant with other dogs, cats, and kids! My fully fenced grassy yard offers dogs with high energy needs a place to run, chew, and play! My dog, Zinnie, is a social butterfly at the dog park and loves making new friends. She will also want to cuddle any new dog that comes over! My other dog, Buddha, is an old lady - usually preferring to lounge under the shaded tree and watch birds. She will occasionally play with other dogs, but is fine being a wall flower. We have a pet gate and multiple rooms for feeding if your dog is an anxious eater! Since I am always home, I can maintain whatever feeding times your animal baby is used to. A main water source is provided for the dogs outside to prevent over heating, and the dogs will always have the autonomy to come inside whenever they choose, as we usually leave the connecting door open for them. Couch and bed cuddlers are welcome here! I will treat your animals with respect, giving them the independence to play while their parents are away, coupled with the structure of care to make pet parents feel as comfy as possible. Pic and video updates are provided as well. If you want a daily run down of what your pet did during their stay, I will provide that as well. I am also versed in the fine arts of hiding medication in treats if your animal needs to take their meds. Syringed medicine is no issue as well.
“Cindy is amazing to work with! Her family and dog are amazing. They have a wonderful home and yard that are just so perfect for dogs to play all day. So grateful that we were able to work with Cindy and her family with our dog. Thank you so much Cindy for such a wonderful experience!”

“We used Lauren’s services for day care and she was amazing! Our dogs were very well taken care of and she even took them for a walk. The pups are very happy and so are we! Would definitely recommend Lauren!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Gilbert
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review by Charlie B 🐾 Hi, it’s me, Charlie. I don’t usually write reviews because I’m very busy being adorable and monitoring squirrels, but this felt important. First of all, my mom abandoned me (rude) to go to “work” (whatever that is), but THEN… plot twist… I met Capone. Capone = 12/10 good boy. We played. We zoomed. We possibly solved several world problems. He let me be the boss sometimes (as he should), and I allowed him the honor of chasing me around like a maniac. It was a very balanced, professional friendship. At one point, I almost forgot I had been tragically left behind. Almost. To my mom: I will forgive you… eventually. To Capone: I love you, you chaotic legend. Please schedule more playdates immediately. Overall experience: Would get “abandoned” again if Capone is involved. – Charlie 🐶 (professional good girl, part-time drama queen)

Geneva is great with my puppy. Every time we get to their house Lady can’t wait to go in and play with her dog Apollo. She’s great at communicating with me sending lots of pictures to me throughout the day. Lady always comes back very happy and a little tired from all the fun she’s having.

Anjali was fantastic and took great care of Loki - Thanks Anjali. From the time I contacted her, she was really good in her responses so that I could plan accordingly. Through the day she kept me posted on how Loki was doing and did everything possible to keep him engaged and cater to his needs. I strongly recommend Anjali for your rover needs.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Gilbert commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
