“My wife and I needed someone to look after our 11 week old Goldendoodle. Mallory provided optimum care and updates on him the entire day. Highly recommended and will use her dog sitting services in the future!”

About: I’ve been doing drop in care, overnight and special needs critters since I was in college in the late 90s. I love cats, dogs, birds, guinea pigs, gerbils, mice, hamsters and ferrets. I’m open to snakes depending on whether or not they can kill me. I currently work from home so I have considerable flexibility in my schedule. As a general rule I can make myself available for a booking so long as I have advance notice. I have a fenced yard with a grassy area. My home is also close to green belts for walks. I specialize in in your home care and seeing to any and all quirks your pets (and you) may have.
“Joseph and Allison are the best!! They updated me with pictures through out the day with the friends Lily made and with her just relaxing or playing outside. Communication was great and their home is lovely! My Lily felt right at home while I was awhile! Will definitely book with them again!”

“Stephanie was amazing! Very attentive to our two dogs and was great at keeping us up to date on how they were doing! Our pups always seemed happy in the photos and we will definitely ask her to watch them again! We were running later than we’d expected for their pick up and she was very gracious and patient with us, which we appreciated. Highly recommend her!!”

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals, and I couldn’t imagine my life any other way. I’ve also worked at Petsmart as a dog bather and I’m very experienced in reading a dogs body language. As a stay-at-home wife, I have a dog named Oakley and two cats. I have a beautiful yard with a pool and plenty of toys for them to play with. Oakley, a 80-pound golden retriever, is very friendly and has never had a problem with any other dogs. Oakley loves having a good play buddy. My cats, on the other hand, prefer to stay to themselves. I have the free time and all the love to be home with your babies. I’m a stay-at-home wife who loves spending time at home. I enjoy going to parks, especially indoor dog parks when it’s hot, or just taking my dog out for a walk. I also love having a Starbucks in the morning, with a pup cup on the side. I have a spacious fenced yard with a pool and a lively golden retriever named Oakley. Oakley is incredibly energetic and loves to greet everyone who will let him.
About: While I am new to Rover, I have been caring for my friends, family, and neighbors pets for the last 30 yrs. Just like humans, no two dogs are a like, so every job is catered specifically to your pets needs. I know how stressful travel can be on our animals so I always approach each assignment with extreme calm, patience, and positivity. I am a big believer in positive reinforcement. That way your dog/cat and I can build a strong and trusting relationship. I strive to treat everyone's pets as if they are my own fur babies. My full time job is caring for your fur baby and making sure they are healthy, happy, and comfortable, until you get home. Since this is AZ, our days are planned around the heat. In the winter we spend as much time outside as possible, walking, hiking, playing fetch. I like to teach new pups how to find treats in our designated dig spot in the backyard. In the warmer months I'll set an alarm early so we can still spend a few hrs outside before it gets too hot. I like to set up a kiddy pool so all of the pups can run around and cool off. I take AZ heat very seriously and am always on the look out for animals getting overheated. I will also always check the temperature of the sidewalk before heading out for a walk. If I'm caring for a pet in your home my in home visits include *Feeding and fresh water (I'll also keep the bowls clean) *Potty breaks *Playtime or cuddles *walks or enrichment time *medication management (if needed) *Mail collection *plant watering. If there is something you need done and it can be completed within the 30 min timeframe Id be happy to help. My goal is for your pup to feel happy, fed, and loved everyday before I leave. At my home I have a medium size fenced yard that is half grass half dirt. I also have a designated dig pit for the dogs who love to dig. I have a one yr old, male, 25lb mini Aussie/terrier mix, who is the welcome wagon and loves all dogs. He's available all day long to play or just cuddle in the sun. In the winter he gets walked 3 times a day and in the summer we go early in the am and late at night. We also enjoy going to the park when it is empty or hiking. I have a medium size crate in my bedroom but there is room for a larger one. If your pup prefers to sleep in his crate alone, I also have a guest bedroom they can go in. But I usually suggest letting your dog sleep in his crate or dog bed in my room since its a new environment.

“What can I say except at Cynthia is incredible! Oliver gets so excited as soon as he sees that we are turning onto her street. I’m always at peace when he’s with her because I know that she’s giving him all of the love, snuggles and playtime that he wants and needs. I could ask for a better person to care for my little guy!”

“Grateful to have found Donna’s family to watch Lèska for the day on such short notice. I have no complaints but will advise future dog parents to double-check if Rover’s dog sitters have a full house ? ? ?? or if it will be just your dog solo.”

“We recently located from Washington State to Arizona! We were hoping to find a kind and fun pet sitter here for our beloved doggo, Leo. We were ecstatic to find Katie! She clearly loves what she does and has lots of experience! Leo absolutely adores her! Every time we do drop off, he is pulling me on the leash to get to her! When we pick him up, he is so happy and we just know he had the best day ever! We love that Katie sends us updates and videos/pictures of Leo’s day! If you have the opportunity to obtain Katie’s services, I advise you to do so…hurry as fast as you can!!! She is the absolute best!”

“Alex was great with Elsa. He was very diligent and even took notes on her lunch time. I was happy with the updates he gave as well. If Elsa needs a sitter again, we will definitely reach out to Alex.”

“If I could leave 6 stars, I would. Stephanie has been so caring and attentive with my dog, I haven’t worried for a second about how he’s doing when she’s watching him. He’s been getting great exercise too and comes home exhausted. Her kids have been awesome with him too, to the point I think he’d have preferred staying with them vs coming home with me!”

About: We’ve been loving and caring for dogs for over 8 years, and pups have always been part of our everyday life. From frequently watching my sister’s dog while she travels, owning our own, to helping out friends and family, we’ve gained lots of hands-on experience—and plenty of tail wags along the way. Kamila works from home, so your dog will get all-day care, attention, and snuggles—never long stretches alone. Eric has owned dogs ranging from pugs to big pitties, so we’re comfortable with all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. We’re also proud dog parents to a Rottweiler and an English bulldog, giving us experience with both high-energy playtime and laid-back couch days. Our dogs love all types of dogs from seniors to little pups. They are very gentle when they play with others and also respect other dogs’ boundaries if they just want to relax. They grew up with a senior dog so they are good with matching their energy if they just want to relax. We’re comfortable giving medications and sticking to your dog’s normal routine to keep them happy and stress-free. We love keeping pet parents in the loop and will send regular photo and video updates, so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, loved, and having the best time. Zeiders and Capone can’t wait to share their massive toy collection with your pups🐾💛 Kamila works from home so your dog will be watched over and cared for all day. She can devote as much time as they need to caring for them. We have a fenced yard as well as barriers inside our home to keep the pets we are looking after away from any potential harmful objects in the home.
“Dominique is so good with Juniper and she’s so pleasant and responsive! I’m thankful she took such good care of our sweet pup! I will call her whenever I can!”

About: I've had pets for all my life from fish to birds to cats and dogs. Ay one time we even had a horse. Retired now and available for your family I am currently retired and have lived in Chandler for over 25 years. I have time now to pet and house sit. I am available for both house and pet sitting. I have a large fenced yard with medium sized dog who is 6. I am non-smoking, non-vaping and love all animals. I can provide references.
“Alex is quite literally THE BEST. She provides frequent and useful updates. She cares equally for all dogs under her care and is incredibly patient with them. She's an absolute professional and I'd highly recommend her.”

“Susan and Jim were so easy to work with. They clearly love dogs and provide the best care! I will definitely request Susan again. It was so comforting knowing Libby was safe. Thanks again!”

“Jerron was great with our dog, Rudy! Personable, kind, caring and put us at ease as we left our dog with them so we could enjoy a baseball game. Thank you, Jerron!”

About: Our family has cared for our pets for the past 12+ years. I grew up around large dogs with lots of property in WA state. But since we've moved to Arizona, I've focused on caring for our medium/smaller sized pups. We are a homeschooling family, so I am home A LOT. And I've got tons of time to go for walks or play in the yard with your pup. We are a homeschool family, and I'm a stay at home mama so I've got lots of time during the week to spend at our home with your pup. We've got a beautiful grassy backyard with a small pond so your pup can observe ducks and birds as we play fetch. We also live near a park with a lovely walking path so daily walks are no problem at all. We are a pup loving, family home! As stated above, we have a green, grassy fenced back yard, a view of the pond, wonderful walking paths, a 2 story home (but we keep pets downstairs.) I've got older kids who love to play with and snuggle with doggies!
“I can’t say enough positive things about Travis! Our Lagotto is very reserved and reluctant to leave us. Travis is the only doggy daycare provider we have used where she jumps out of the car and runs excitedly up to his door. Travis was patient in introducing our Roma to his two dogs. His communication is great. I love his house with doggy door and fenced in backyard.”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Sun Lakes commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
