“Jessica took great care of Lottie during her check ins. I loved the report cards and photos and knowing someone was giving her some attention during the day! Looking forward to having Jessica drop in for future dates”

“The moment we met Allison and Joseph for a meet & greet, we knew that our Nugget would be in great hands. They are absolutely animal lovers! Allison came everyday to our house for drop in visits for 2 weeks and she took such wonderful care of Nugget, treating him like her own fur babies. She even fed our pet fish for us as well. I loved all the picture updates and detailed messages. I felt so much trust that she truly cared about our Nugget. Thank you so much! I would absolutely love to hire her again for future drop in visits.”

“Madison is wonderful, my dogs love her. I feel confident leaving them in her care when needed. She’s reliable and keeps me well informed of my girls activities when I’m away.”

“Fiona was THE BEST and took great care of our babies! We had a last minute issue and had no one to watch them, she came in and made it work no problem. It was so comforting knowing they were taken care of while we were away. Huge thank you!! 🤍”

“Shea did a great job with my two boys while we were in Europe! She came at exactly the time she said she would every day and I loved getting a report every day-with photos-and a short note. This is the first time I’ve used Rover and she was so good about stopping by beforehand for instructions and meet and greet. My older dog needs 3 different meds and, although perhaps a challenge at first, she managed to get them down him just fine. Highly recommend!”

“Anna was great with Kobi!! This was our first time utilizing the Rover app. We didn’t know what to expect and Kobi requires medication to be administered at specific times during the day. Before the sessions began, we met with Anna so she could meet Kobi and so we could go over his medications, what he likes to do, etc. We could see that she understood everything quickly and that she is very good with pets. Anna was punctual and left detailed feedback for each visit and the “Rover Cards” from the app were provided in real time. Messages were sent each time the sessions began and ended. She even solved a minor issue on the very first visit that was not related to Kobi. It really put our mind at ease since we were out of state and unable to return quickly if we needed to. She used great judgement as the temperatures outside were extreme and she adjusted the time spent in the visits and play activity to suit Kobi’s needs accordingly. We could tell from the many photos that Anna took and posted on the Rover Cards that Kobi was bonding with her and trusted her. A great first experience with the Rover app due to Anna’s professionalism and caring demeanor. We highly recommend Anna and we’re hoping she’ll be available when we decide to go on trips in the future, knowing how well she took care of Kobi!”

“Kelsei has been absolutely amazing with Murphy! She is always willing to go the extra mile with him, treating him to walks, fetch, and training exercises! Kelsei is very communicative always providing us with a great summary of her time with Murphy along with lots of pictures!”

“Courtney has been consistently caring for our greyhound for over 2 months, and she's incredible! She's always communicative, respectful, quick with responding to messages and booking requests, follows directions to a "T", and accommodates our needs. Most importantly, our pup loves her! Our normally anxious boy always seems so relaxed and happy after her visits. I can't recommend Courtney enough!”

About: My cousin Rhonda and I share an apartment with her 10 year old son, and Charlie, a 11 year old chiweenie. I grew up with a Shetland Sheepdog, Tiffany, and Mom made sure I learned basic dog training. Plenty of dog and baby-sitting in High School and college. I worked at a pet store for 3 years after college. I became the proud parent of rescue Border Collie Mix, Leeloo in 2016. She travelled and lived with me for nearly 8 years. In 2021, I adopted Lucy the Shih Tzu with severe separation anxiety for my Mom, who was always home. Lucy is with Mom again after 4.5 wonderful years. I believe in positive reinforcement and communication. I am sorry, but I am allergic to cats, and I’m unable to offer cat services. I am a morning person, as it's the coolest time of the day. I just started a full time job, However my cousin Rhonda works from home. I live with my cousin Rhonda and her 10 year old son Grayson. They have an 11 year old Chiweenie Charlie. We are on the first floor of apartments with lots of green space and a dog park.

About: I've been caring for animals my entire life, growing up with both cats and dogs and learning the importance of providing consistent, loving care. Throughout college, I pet sat for families while they were away on weekend trips, caring for pets in their own homes and maintaining their regular routines. I also worked as a nanny for families with multiple pets, where caring for dogs and cats was a natural part of my daily responsibilities. I'm comfortable with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, administering basic care, and making sure pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy looking after a beloved family member. 🐾 I work a full-time job remotely from home, which gives me a flexible and structured schedule throughout the day. I’m an early riser by nature and like to stay active and on the move, so I’m usually up early and comfortable handling morning responsibilities like feeding, walks, litter care, or check-ins before starting my workday. Because I travel throughout the Phoenix Valley for work and errands, I’m already very familiar with driving routes and am able to reliably get to pet visits in the early mornings or evenings. Even though I work from home, I’m rarely sitting still—I prefer being active, getting outside, and staying busy. Pet care is a perfect fit for me because it gets me out of the house, lets me spend time with animals (which I genuinely miss having around), and fits naturally into my routine before 8 AM or after 6 PM. I’m very consistent, punctual, and used to managing responsibilities on a tight schedule, so I’m confident pets will get dependable, loving care every visit. My home environment is calm, clean, and organized, and I understand how important routine and stability are for animals. Whether it’s early morning walks or evening check-ins, I treat every visit like a priority and make sure pets feel safe, cared for, and comfortable while their owners are away.
About: I took a course at ASU for dog behavior to better understand animals and their behavior. I’m able to train dogs with small commands within hours. I have my own goldendoodle and will treat your pet as my own family! I’m a full time student with open availability throughout the week to help others take care of their pets. My schedule is very flexible to fit your needs! I like to care for animals in their own environment as they are more comfortable in their own space. Taking them out of their environment and will strangers can be difficult for them to adjust.
“Leslie took exceptional care of my cat, Sunny, while I was on vacation. From the beginning, she was reliable, professional, and genuinely caring. What I appreciated most were the regular updates and photos she sent, which gave me peace of mind and allowed me to see that Sunny was happy, comfortable, and well cared for every day. I highly recommend Leslie to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Fantastic pet sitter! Lance was friendly with cats. Our youngest is very shy, but he warmed up to Lance. :) He was respectful with us and our home. I highly recommend Lance for pet sitting.”

“Susan is the ABSOLUTE BEST! I connected with her through Rover, and she was incredibly kind and responsive from the start. She came over for a meet-and-greet with my kitten, arrived right on time, clipboard in hand, and asked all the right questions about how to care for him. She even stayed to play for a bit—she’s such a natural with animals, and they connected instantly! While I was away, she showed up every day on time and took amazing care of my kitten. She even sent the most adorable photos! If you’re looking for a pet sitter, SUSAN IS A MUST. She’s fantastic, and I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“We decided to try Rover instead of using the doggie hotel we normally go with, because the hotel has gone somewhat down hill for sometime now. Also, because our newly adopted chihuahua is a very nervous baby with new surroundings and people. We went with Lorena because of her already great reviews, friendly face, and close distance to our house. She was great. She came to meet us in advance on a very short notice and was as friendly as we hoped. Our dog packer immediately loved her. She paid attention to our conversation and requests, she asked relevant questions, and tried to get a bit familiar with Romy, our chihuahuas well. During our trip, we received check in and check out notifications when she was at our home and photos during all her visits. Eventually Romy got a little more comfortable and was doing really good. We are very happy with her service and will definitely be booking her again!”

Kiersten allowed us to fully enjoy our time away from home! She took such good care of my cats and dog, and went the extra mile to make sure that the home was taken care of while we were not here. We feel very lucky to have had her watch our kids, and can’t wait to have them babysit again!

Kristine & Michael were great with our cat! He is older and can be temperamental and they provided great care for him while we were out of town for over a week! They communicated great and answered any questions we had about our cat in a timely manner! Thank you for everything! Definitely will re-book!

We couldn’t ask for better dog sitters! One of our dogs is very anxious to loud noises, but Allison & Josh are incredibly experienced. They kept us updated throughout the holiday weekend with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear our dogs were well cared for, comfortable, and loved the entire time. We came home to happy, relaxed pups, and that means everything to us. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and reliable to care for their pets. We’ll definitely be booking with them again!

We had a wonderful experience with Jessica! She did an amazing job communicating with us throughout our trip, sending frequent updates and the sweetest pictures of our dogs, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was also incredibly attentive and let us know right away when one of our dogs got a minor injury while playing, keeping us updated and handling the situation with care. Jessica was always quick to respond to our messages and truly made us feel at ease knowing our dogs were in such good hands. We would absolutely trust her to watch our pups again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter!

Kelly has been caring for our two cats when we go on vacation for 7+ years. She is so kind and takes excellent care of them. Each visit she checks their water and food, cleans the litter boxes, and plays with them. The cats know her when she shows up. You can tell she really loves and cares for animals. She is flexible with our scheduling and has accept d last minute requests several times. I highly recommend Kelly!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
