About: Loving, caring home with dogs of my own. I've been a part time pet sitter almost all my life and my passion is dogs but lover of all animals. I can take care of any breed or size dog, no restrictions. There are no children in my home and everyone here loves dogs so them being comfortable here will not be an issue. I always have plenty of different kinds of toys and treats for your specific dogs needs. I can even help teach your loved ones a trick or two, should you be so inclined. My care is top notch and hard to beat! Pet care seamlessly blends into my routine because my daytime job is highly flexible. This open schedule gives me total freedom to dedicate blocks of time to walking dogs, completing drop in visits or checking in on boarding fur babies. While I am starting school in a few weeks, my classes only take up 2.5 hours on two or three evenings per week. This minor commitment ensures I still have maximum availability during high demand daytime hours, plus plenty of completely free nights each week for attentive overnight house sitting! When caring for the animals in your home, my main focus is security, cleanliness, and minimizing separation anxiety. I follow your household rules precisely, ensure all doors and gates are securely locked, and collect your mail or water plants upon request. Each visit includes fresh food and water, a thoroughly scooped litter box or yard cleanup, and plenty of one on one attention through focused playtime and comforting belly rubs!
“Jessica took great care of Lottie during her check ins. I loved the report cards and photos and knowing someone was giving her some attention during the day! Looking forward to having Jessica drop in for future dates”

“Simon was great with my pup, Jack. He came by for a meet and greet, and I immediately trusted him. I knew Jack was in good hands, and Simon reassured me of this on each of his visits. I returned home to find an happy dog and everything else as I left it. I highly recommend Simon; I will be using him again.”
“Courtney has been consistently caring for our greyhound for over 2 months, and she's incredible! She's always communicative, respectful, quick with responding to messages and booking requests, follows directions to a "T", and accommodates our needs. Most importantly, our pup loves her! Our normally anxious boy always seems so relaxed and happy after her visits. I can't recommend Courtney enough!”

“Ben was wonderful with my little haus panther, trying to (and usually succeeding in) getting him to come out and play -- or, more accurately, do epic battle (in a playful way, of course; it's just my cat's MO/love language, lol). Lots of pics and videos. Nice to have a cat dad caring for my little guy :-)”

“Thank you Adam! We loved all the photos sent of our happy pups and kitties each visit! They spent time with each one, threw the ball, pet on them etc to make it a good experience for everyone! We will definitely have them again in the future 😊”

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember! Growing up around pets taught me that every animal has their own unique personality. Whether your fur baby is super energetic, a couch potato, aloof, or a bit shy, I easily adapt to what makes them feel safe and happy. I'll always treat them like my own! Beyond pet care, I'm a part-time college student working toward my nursing degree, driven by a genuine passion for helping others and making a positive difference in the world. I also work at a daycare in the infant room! My background in childcare has helped me build a deep well of patience, attentiveness, and gentle care qualities that carry over directly to how I look after your beloved pets. 😊 My full-time work schedule leaves my weekday mornings and evenings wide open for your pets! I’m available for daily drop-in visits, plus longer, uninterrupted stays and extra quality time on the weekends. 🥳 I will treat your fur babies like my own and make sure their usual routine is followed! Every animal has such a unique personality, and I love getting to know what makes each one special! As I build my presence on this platform, my main priority is giving you total peace of mind and making sure your pets feel completely safe, happy, and loved. I’d be honored to care for your sweet pets! 🩷
“AMAZING IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT! Allison was so thorough during our meet and greet to learn my fur child’s preferences, schedules and quirks. My doggie is a rescue who can be very timid with strangers and has never really taken to a care taker, until now. Allison was so patient with her during her check ins and let her warm up at her own speed, and took fantastic care of her. She is very communicative every step of the way, sends lots of pictures, and gave updates on her meals and potty breaks. Within just a couple days my little doglet warmed up and fell in love! I’m so thrilled to have found such an excellent and reliable care taker to look after my child during my work trips! 10000/10 would absolutely recommend 😊”

“Thank you so so much! Your communication is always amazing and so much appreciated! My kitties love you and I always feel so at ease knowing they have you checking in on them when I’m away!”

“Madison is absolutely fantastic! I go on multiple trips a year and trying to figure out what to do with the cats is always a huge worry, but I decided to give rover a try and Madison was who I went with. Best decision I’ve ever made, 2 check ins a day, she fed them, made sure they had water, played with them, made sure their litter was clean, and even gave them some treats! After every visit she sends multiple pictures, and leaves a detailed note of what she did that day with them and anything to know. After the visit we got a hand written note thanking us for trusting her with the boys and how much she loved them! I will not even hesitate next time I go on a trip, that’s how professional and loving she was to our animals and communication.”

“Kiersten was beyond amazing! This was my first time using Rover and I will definitely be asking for her help again:) Kiersten went out of her way to set up a meet-and-greet with our two dogs before she started dogsitting. She took great care of them, was always on time, and was extremely responsive to our messages. We felt no stress and knew our pups were in great hands. Thank you, Kiersten! So excited to have you help again soon!”

“Shea is absolutely amazing! She took such good care of my Thena while I was away. Athena took such a liking to her, she was cuddling and showing all her tricks to her. She made Athena comfortable, she made me feel assured. She completes all the check lists, communicates well, clean, super sweet and loving! The perfect cat sitter! Will definitely reach out in the future!”

About: I've been caring for animals my entire life, growing up with both cats and dogs and learning the importance of providing consistent, loving care. Throughout college, I pet sat for families while they were away on weekend trips, caring for pets in their own homes and maintaining their regular routines. I also worked as a nanny for families with multiple pets, where caring for dogs and cats was a natural part of my daily responsibilities. I'm comfortable with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, administering basic care, and making sure pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy looking after a beloved family member. 🐾 I work a full-time job remotely from home, which gives me a flexible and structured schedule throughout the day. I’m an early riser by nature and like to stay active and on the move, so I’m usually up early and comfortable handling morning responsibilities like feeding, walks, litter care, or check-ins before starting my workday. Because I travel throughout the Phoenix Valley for work and errands, I’m already very familiar with driving routes and am able to reliably get to pet visits in the early mornings or evenings. Even though I work from home, I’m rarely sitting still—I prefer being active, getting outside, and staying busy. Pet care is a perfect fit for me because it gets me out of the house, lets me spend time with animals (which I genuinely miss having around), and fits naturally into my routine before 8 AM or after 6 PM. I’m very consistent, punctual, and used to managing responsibilities on a tight schedule, so I’m confident pets will get dependable, loving care every visit. My home environment is calm, clean, and organized, and I understand how important routine and stability are for animals. Whether it’s early morning walks or evening check-ins, I treat every visit like a priority and make sure pets feel safe, cared for, and comfortable while their owners are away.
“Alex did an excellent job dealing with our dogs that have never been left for this long. The relationship started kind of tough but by the end the dogs loved her. We will have her back again if she is available.”

“Rochelle was kind enough to do a meet and greet with my Luna. Everything went smoothly and she even brought in some packages I forgot were coming in during my trip. 10/10 would book her again! Thank you Rochelle!”

About: My cousin Rhonda and I share an apartment with her 10 year old son, and Charlie, a 11 year old chiweenie. I grew up with a Shetland Sheepdog, Tiffany, and Mom made sure I learned basic dog training. Plenty of dog and baby-sitting in High School and college. I worked at a pet store for 3 years after college. I became the proud parent of rescue Border Collie Mix, Leeloo in 2016. She travelled and lived with me for nearly 8 years. In 2021, I adopted Lucy the Shih Tzu with severe separation anxiety for my Mom, who was always home. Lucy is with Mom again after 4.5 wonderful years. I believe in positive reinforcement and communication. I am sorry, but I am allergic to cats, and I’m unable to offer cat services. I am a morning person, as it's the coolest time of the day. I have a part time job weekday afternoons, however my cousin Rhonda works from home. I live with my cousin Rhonda and her 10 year old son Grayson. They have an 11 year old Chiweenie Charlie. We are on the first floor of apartments with lots of green space and a dog park.

About: I have taken care of and owned many types of pets, big and small! I have always been trusted to watch neighbors’ dogs, cats, birds, and even the occasional reptile. I have a super chill elderly cat named Layla and a doggy named Penny (Princess Penelope Lane) who is scared of her own shadow, and anyone who's not her family is automatically labeled as "stranger danger." I've never seen Penny take food or pets from someone other than us, but Jessica is a true animal whisperer who's more than able. There's nothing better than receiving consistent pictures and updates while outside of the country and knowing my furry little girls and house are safe in Jessica's capable hands. We plan on looking for a new puppy to bring into the family soon, and I look forward to asking for Jessica's help in caring for them in the future. Thank you so much Jessica 😆

Susan was excellent! When she came to meet Strider she brought a clip board and took plenty of notes. After her visit we returned home to find a very happy Strider and Susan even left a note for us in paper saying how good he was and how much she appreciated our business. Any pet owner would be lucky to have Susan watch their pet!

Thank you for always being incredible and taking care of our babies! Especially now that one of them takes a pill! Kristine and Michael go above and beyond consistently. Kristine went so far as to opening our cat’s pill and sprinkling her medicine in her food and making sure she ate it all. We’re so grateful to have you watch our babies!

Kiersten was beyond amazing! So excited to have you help again soon!

Madison has a very gentle nature that my cats were drawn to immediately. I trusted her because she is a vet assistant and has devoted her life to caring for animals. I was called to go on a business trip for 2.5 weeks, and Madison rose to the occasion and hung in there with daily updates and photos to keep me in touch with them while I was gone. The cats were happy and relaxed when I returned home and I am very grateful for her loving care while I was gone.
Simon was great with my pup, Jack. He came by for a meet and greet, and I immediately trusted him. I knew Jack was in good hands, and Simon reassured me of this on each of his visits. I returned home to find an happy dog and everything else as I left it. I highly recommend Simon; I will be using him again.
Lindsey was a God send. She provided great service and great communication. It made our trip enjoyable and at ease knowing our precious pets are receiving great care. She did more for us than just care for our pets. Lindsey is reliable. We greatly appreciate and highly recommend her!
We couldn’t ask for better dog sitters! One of our dogs is very anxious to loud noises, but Allison & Josh are incredibly experienced. They kept us updated throughout the holiday weekend with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear our dogs were well cared for, comfortable, and loved the entire time. We came home to happy, relaxed pups, and that means everything to us. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and reliable to care for their pets. We’ll definitely be booking with them again!

Kelly has been caring for our two cats when we go on vacation for 7+ years. She is so kind and takes excellent care of them. Each visit she checks their water and food, cleans the litter boxes, and plays with them. The cats know her when she shows up. You can tell she really loves and cares for animals. She is flexible with our scheduling and has accept d last minute requests several times. I highly recommend Kelly!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
