“Our pets loved Alanna! She's very attentive and made sure to complete the tasks our spoiled fur babies require. Pictures of them were taken everyday which we looked forward to. We are definitely going to book with her again!”

“It was my first experience using this app and my first time trusting a complete stranger to take care of my dog. I was very nervous at first. Since my dog is a senior, it’s important for me to know that she’s eating, drinking, and going potty normally, so I really appreciated that Jacqueline kept me updated throughout the stay. She sent me photos, gave my dog her vitamins, and even watered my plants as I had asked. She took wonderful care of everything, and my dog came home happy and relaxed. I truly can’t recommend Jacqueline enough. She made my very first experience with both this app and having someone stay in my apartment while caring for my dog completely stress-free. I’m so grateful for her kindness, communication, and professionalism. Thank you so much, Jacqueline—I would absolutely book with you again!”

“Celestina was great!! My kitties were very well cared for. She is very professional and detailed with her updates. You can tell she has a passion for animals and your pets are in good hands with her!”

“Katie was absolutely amazing! She took the best care of our boys! We were able to have a getaway weekend with peace of mind knowing our boys were in Katie’s care. She took lots of pictures and let us know how the potty breaks went during each visit. All of our requests regarding our pups care were met with excellence by Katie! Definitely using her services again!”

“Such a wonderful thing to know your pet is cared for and loved while you're away! Raquel is Responsible, communicates well and we can see our pup is taken care of!”

“Karolina will always go the extra mile for your pets! She ensures that they get enough exercise and are kept with enough food and water. I couldn’t be happier with her service!”

About: We have had dogs in our home for 12 years now. From a St. Bernard, to a Chihuahua Mix, to our current Irish Doodle. I have taken care of neighbors pets for years as well. I am comfortable giving medication and adapting to the unique needs of your pet. I enjoy walking, running, or biking with dogs. I feel like life with a dog is just better!! I look forward to meeting your best friend! I work part time from home so I am available for day care, boarding, walks and mid day drop ins. I am happy to help your pet with whatever you need. I have a fenced yard and a welcoming environment in our home! I have 3 older boys who are great with dogs as well! We enjoy meeting and caring for new dogs!
“Jenna was a great sitter for my cats. I was lucky to find a great caretaker for them as I headed out of town. I knew I did not have to worry about them with Jenna there. Thank you!!”

“Marianna was so attentive and sweet during our meet and greet and to my two kitties when she came for the visit. She was extremely thorough and communicative! I felt very at ease and calm knowing they were in her care. Will certainly rebook!”

About: I’ve had cats and dogs by my side for as long as I can remember, so caring for animals has always felt like second nature to me. My childhood cat is now an impressive 20 years old, and if that doesn’t say “lifelong pet person,” I don’t know what does! I truly believe pets are family — mine are absolutely my babies — and I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for them when you can’t be there. Whether your pet is an energetic adventurer, a professional couch potato, a shy little soul, or somewhere in between, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and care, while treating them with the same patience and love I’d want someone to give my own. 🐾 I am currently not working, and looking for a way to fill my time. My dog is used to the routine of being kenneled while I am gone in the day and I would not like to change his routine too much by staying home all day. I would love to be active and help with animals more. I would be present with the animal either 24/7 or potty breaks every 1-2 hours. I am experienced in administering medication for senior cats, young cats, or puppies. I have administered fluid IVs, pills, and liquid medications. I love going outside, and I love camping and bringing my dog off leash camping.
“Traci did a great job of caring for my 13 yr old dog while I was out of town and it provided peace of mind that allowed me to know my fur baby was in good hands while I was gone.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life, had a cat for 3 years, and grew up on ranches taking care of all kinds of animals! I currently do not work, but I do have classes in the mornings mom-thurs but the rest of my time is available to take care of your fur baby! incorporating their routine if they are at my home to ensure they are happy and not stressed. Also providing as little or as much exercise and potty breaks as needed :)
“I absolutely love Tanya and Olivia. Not only did they take care of Violet twice a day, but they gave me really nice updates along with pictures so that I could keep up-to-date on how she was doing while I was away. Truly reliable and thoughtful.”

About: I will abide by your preferences and always prioritize safety first. I have cared intensively for pets who have suffered both illness and injury. My corgirl Autumn developed sudden paralysis last year. She and I have since conquered her IVDD together through dedicated home therapy, prescriptions and an abundance of love, patience and a few wheels! I have administered medication via feed syringe and tablet to my childhood kitty who was born with FIV and dressed wounds for other pets. These experiences forever softened my heart and solidified a mutual respect. I will care for your pet by any means necessary, as I do my own. As a Flight Attendant, my schedule is posted one month in advance so I will diligently update my availability. Pet care fits my routine perfectly and I’m eager to walk your pup to keep us both active! I walk my dog three times a day, making sure to switch up the scenery when I can. Up early to beat the heat, midday refresh, and a late night outing makes sure there’s no overnight discomfort or accidents. With a flexible work schedule, I’m able to offer services weekdays and weekends! I am a lifelong lover of creatures of all kinds! I believe animals connect instantly with those who possess a kind heart and good intentions, so I’m honored when there’s a mutual trust right away, but I will work diligently to win over your shy guy! I’ve had consistent positive experience with pets throughout my life beginning the day I was born, arriving home to be greeted by a brand new puppy! We were inseparable for 16 years! I have been taught unwavering compassion and dedicated nurture from raising my courageous little corgi (4yo) and will not hesitate to treat your sweet like family!
About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life. My first pup was an Aire Dale Terrier named Molly. We met when I was 4 and she was 2 months old, so my parents did most of the work caring for her. Our second dog, a Lakeland Terrier named Leila, was trained, socialized and cared for by me! I have dog sat and walked for friends and roommates during my time living in San Carlos (I’m originally from Michigan), and I joined Rover to walk/petsit for other pups on a regular basis. My job is currently remote so I can give your dog attention and exercise throughout the day and they won’t be left alone if that’s your preference! I can't wait to meet your dog (or cat), I already love them! :) Currently working remote so I will be able to give your dog attention throughout the day, and can even accommodate frequent potty breaks/walks if desired. I don’t have any pets of my own currently so your pet will be getting my full attention when they are in my care. Dogs are creatures of routine - rather than board your dog in a stressful kennel environment where they are around other barking dogs and only getting limited attention and love, let your pup stay where they are happiest: your home! I’m super clean and respectful, I will always leave your place exactly as I found it and will respect all house rules while I’m watching your pet. Happy to look after plants and general house sitting tasks as well, just let me know.

We just moved to the San Tan Valley area and needed someone to watch our 4 doggies. We found Nick and could not be more pleased with how much he cares for our fur babies. He is very detailed, asked a lot of questions and even got our timid pup to warm up to him. We would highly recommend him and we will be reaching out to him again very soon.

Kristina did an amazing job with my pups! Over the top with her care and updates. I know my boys felt more than at home with her care and despite my pups giving her every single curveball she always had a solution and took amazing care of them. Thank you again for all of your hard work and making my boys feel safe and at home in your care!

Michaela was great!! She was super dependable and responsible, handling everything I asked for without missing a beat. When my cat got sick, she even went above and beyond by cleaning up. She sent me photos each day so I could see she was okay. I came home feeling totally at ease knowing my baby was in such great hands. Highly recommend Michaela to anyone—book her with confidence.

Cassie was excellent! She clearly loves the animals, and it was a huge relief to know they were in good hands. One of our cats needs and inhaler twice a day, and she was willing to learn how to administer it, and had no hesitations. Our dog was also a big fan of her. And even our more secretive cat came out for a peek! She was easy to communicate with, and I would deifnitely recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter or other services.

Summer has been absolutely wonderful with our dogs! We’re incredibly grateful for her experience with Belgian Malinois—it gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such capable hands. She really takes the time to spend with them and understand their needs, and it shows. We appreciate the care, attention, and dedication she gives to our pups and highly recommend her! 🐾

London is awesome! She is on-time, responsive in communication, responsible, kind and thoughtful. She does a great job taking care of our super active golden retriever puppy, Maggie. It’s so comforting to know she’s in good hands while we are away. Thank you, London!

Karen was an absolutely phenomenal sitter. On very short notice, she took my pup under her wing and even made time for a meet and greet beforehand. She was incredibly thorough, taking notes on everything important about Indee to make sure my pup was as comfortable as possible while I was away. She did drop-in visits at my house, took Indee on all kinds of fun adventures, and sent a many photos and updates throughout my trip, which gave me so much peace of mind. She also kept an eye on my home and even alerted me to a garage door issue and helped me resolve it! I would recommend Karen a million times over!! I’m so grateful there are people like her who take such amazing care of our fur babies! 💕🐾

Traci did a great job watching my two 5 year old dogs and she is very communicative. She met with us a week prior which was great. My little dog was having a bad day from trauma at the groomer and she was so sweet with him, her and her little daughter tucked him in on our couch and gave him a lot of extra treats and love, will be rebooking with her for sure. She works from home so it was comforting to know if anything arose she could be at my house quickly. Thanks girl!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
