We’ll treat your pets like family
I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I have raised dogs from puppies to seniors and know how to provide for their individual needs. I am a huge animal lover and have passed that animal caretaking tendency onto my sons. Our senior dog passed away this year and we are missing having dogs in our house. Before we are ready to rescue again we would like to use our time to take care of other’s pets whether it’s in our home or dropping into theirs. We’d love the time with them!

Melissa and her boys are so intentional when caring for animals. They have watched my dogs many times and they always go above and beyond in making sure they feel at home. One of my little guys has special needs and takes medicine daily and I always feel comfortable in leaving him in Melissa’s care.

Schedule
I work from home so I am available to do drop-ins during the day or evenings. Any time a drop in is scheduled outside of school hours my 9 year old son will accompany me to get experience caring for different animals (under my supervision). We are also open to boarding pets at our home! So, we welcome any animals that will enjoy having four boys under the age of 12 around to play with them (under my direct supervision).

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced in yard with grass and rocks. Our chickens are in a fenced off area of the side yard. There are no other pets inside the home so food and water will not be messed with. Pets are welcome to sleep anywhere they will be most comfortable.
A typical day
We have a pretty active household and will take your pet outdoors with us every chance we get! We love to play fetch and tag and keep them physically or mentally stimulated when they are showing they want it.
