“Amy has taken care of our pets multiple times while we are away and does an outstanding job. Our cat Sunny appreciates the playtime and Amy even took care of our exotic pet too. We really appreciate her! 🩷”

About: I’ve always been a pet owner. Currently have 2 cats , a dog, bunny, and backyard chickens. I love all animals and even have a daughter in vet school as a resource! I work evenings 4 days a week, usually from 4-9:00. I’m home mornings and afternoons and am available after work as well for later services I have a block wall backyard and large doggy door. My pool is fenced and my chickens stay in their coop. I have a large 2 story home and allow my pets full access to the home.
“I reached out to Jennifer as a last minute booking forbmy cmvacation when my regular pet sitter had an emergency and couldnt watch my place. She was quick to respond and set up a meeting right away. She was very thoughtful and attentive to my cat. I appreciated the updates and photos.”

About: I grew up with dogs my entire life and have been pet sitting since I was a teenager. I have two dogs of my own who are my children and any pet I care for will be treated as if they’re my own. I have a lot of experience caring for older dogs since my parents dogs lived until they were 16 and 17yo. I have a full-time work from home job that I can do from anywhere as long as you have internet. I do work nights but work every other week. If you don’t mind me working while your pet sleeps I can sit on weeks I work. My job allows me plenty of flexibility to provide the best care for your pet. First and foremost, I care for every pet as if they’re my own. It’s a big deal to leave someone/something you love with another person, not just for you but for your pet. I will adapt to whatever routine your pet is on. However, I don’t do off leash play outside of a fenced yard or walks.

“Gina is a rare find! She’s super loving with our Labrador retriever and very responsible taking care of our home when we travel. She communicates with us while we are away to let us know how things are going! Highly recommend!!”
About: I’ve owned a small poodle for 10 years and have extensive experience dog sitting for both small and large breeds. I’m an athlete who loves staying active, so I’m perfect for energetic pups and long walks. I also have professional training in correctional settings, which means I’m observant, patient, and very safety-focused. I treat every dog like family and prioritize consistency, structure, and love I currently work part time as a server and am on the path to graduate with my masters by the end of next year. I love pet sitting because it is a way for me to get out and be active. My house has a backyard with a doggie door and I really take into consideration the personality of the dog when planning my day. Some dogs like to chill and some like to go for runs or hikes, so I am adjustable to their schedules and preferences.
“Joann was amazing! She was super sweet, reliable, and great with Summit. He seemed so happy and comfortable with her, which made me feel completely at ease. I’ll definitely be booking with her again! 🐱💕”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have always had such a big love for animals. I got my first dog, Bella, when I was 5 and she quickly became my best friend. She went everywhere with me, from walks and bike rides to family trips. As she got older, she developed cancer and tumors, so I also gained experience caring for a senior dog who needed extra attention and care. That experience taught me how important it is to be patient, attentive, and really pay attention to what each dog needs. I currently have a dog of my own who means everything to me, so I completely understand how important it is to trust the person taking care of your pet. I’ll treat your dog with the same love, attention, and care that I give my own. I’m currently in college studying nutrition, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’m responsible, caring, and very attentive when it comes to pets. I know how stressful it can be leaving your dog with someone else, so I want you to feel completely comfortable while they’re with me. I’m happy to send pictures and updates, follow their normal routine, give them plenty of attention and exercise, and make sure they feel safe and loved while you’re away. My own dog means everything to me, and I’ll always care for your pets the way I would want someone to care for mine. I will be very caring and put your dog first. My dog means everything to me he’s the most important so I know how it feels to put your trust into someone hands when it comes to your very best friend but I can promise you I’ll always be there for your dog and make sure they are happy and taken care of.
About: I’ve had dogs since I was a child, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I’m patient, loving, attentive, and very responsible. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds, including dogs with different medical conditions that require extra attention and care. I’m home full-time, which allows me to give pets plenty of love, companionship, playtime, walks, and gentle belly rubs to help them feel safe and comfortable just like at home. I truly enjoy spending quality time with dogs and making sure they feel happy and relaxed while in my care. I do not use crates. Dogs in my home are treated like family. I also have a small dog of my own who is very calm, friendly, and well-socialized. Because of this, I can only accept dogs that are friendly and comfortable around other dogs. I’m home full-time, so pet care is part of my daily routine. I’m available all day to provide supervision, frequent potty breaks, meals, playtime, walks, and plenty of love and attention. Pets are safe and comfortable in my home. I have a fully fenced backyard and supervise them at all times. My house is spacious, and the neighborhood is quiet, secure, and full of green areas for walks and play.
“Joel provided excellent care and nuturing to our two cats and lizard. He always kept in daily contact with detailed messages and photos. I wouldn't hesitate to book again and would highly recommend his services! He has an excellent heart for pets!”

About: 🐾 About Me Dogs have always been a big part of my life! I grew up around dogs, and my very first dog was Tequila, a Rottweiler, who gave me my love for big dogs and their big personalities. ❤️ I’ve also volunteered at a Humane Society, where I was responsible for walking dogs of all sizes and personalities, from small, easygoing pups to larger dogs who were more nervous, energetic, or challenging to handle. This experience taught me how important patience, confidence, and understanding each dog’s individual needs can be. Today, I’m a proud dog mom to Macho, my 3-year-old Pomeranian. 🐶 He keeps me on my toes and reminds me that little dogs can have BIG personalities! I also regularly pet sit my sister-in-law’s two Australian Shepherds, Mavy and Leroy, so I’m comfortable caring for both small and large, high-energy dogs. Whether your pup needs a walk, some playtime, companionship, or simply someone they can feel comfortable and safe with while you’re away, I’ll treat them like family. My goal is to make sure every dog in my care feels loved, comfortable, and happy. 🐾❤️ I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pup! 🐾 My Schedule I’m currently available Monday–Friday after 7 PM for dog walks and drop-in visits. On weekends, I have more flexibility and can provide pet sitting in your home or take your pup on walks and adventures. 🐶❤️ I’m happy to work around your schedule whenever possible! I care for pets in their home by following their routine, keeping them comfortable and safe, and giving them plenty of attention, walks, playtime, food, and fresh water. I also keep their space clean and send updates so you know how they’re doing.
About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was 10, with such a love and kindness. I will treat your animals as my own and they will have fun! I’m planning to take this venture part time and have reliable situation to do so. I plan to fill in my time doing all I can. I take extreme care and attention when in people’s home making sure to respect them and their spaces. You will feel at peace having me watch your animals.
About: While I have no pet of my own since leaving for college, I enjoy spending time with animals and seek to hang out with some furry friends. In college I have looked after my aunt and uncle's dog for 3 years, taking her out on potty breaks and walks between and after class every day. After I graduated, I spent a summer in Denmark where I spent one of those months house sitting for a family off of "Trusted House Sitters" and got to take care of Kenzo (Brown currly haired poddle in photos). I have always had pets, one time even 5 in one household! I am used to helping out my family or watching my friends' pets when they are out of town, so I thought I would enjoy participating on Rover and help others with their pet needs! I am a recent graduate from Texas A&M and I recently just moved to Arizona for my job. I currently live with my family and don't have much to do on the weekends. I work full-time but get off at 2:30-3:00 every day, so if you have a late work day, are out of town, or just don't feel like walking the dogs that day, I would love to help! In a client’s home, I focus on creating a calm, predictable environment so pets feel safe and comfortable. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible (feeding schedule, walk times, crate or bed preferences) and always use the owner’s instructions as my guide.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover who has grown up surrounded by dogs and understands how much they become a part of the family. My own dog was my best friend for 17 wonderful years before passing away last year, so I know firsthand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your furry family member. I’m patient, attentive, and treat every dog like they’re my own. Whether your pup needs lots of playtime, long walks, extra cuddles, medication reminders, or simply a calm and loving presence while you’re away, I’m happy to provide the care and attention they deserve. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. I enjoy staying active, going on walks, and creating a calm, comfortable environment where dogs can feel at home. I’m able to accommodate different routines, whether your pet needs regular walks, playtime, medication reminders, or just some extra love and companionship while you’re away. always follow what the owner feels is best for their pet because you know your furry family member better than anyone. Whether I’m caring for them in my home or yours, I want them to feel comfortable, safe, and loved while they’re with me. In my home, pets have a quiet, comfortable space to relax when they need downtime, as well as a backyard where they can run around, play fetch, or simply enjoy being outside. If they love to swim, they can even enjoy some pool time! I’m happy to adjust to each pet’s routine, personality, and preferences to make sure they feel right at home.
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Santan
I can’t say enough good things about Marissa. She came over twice before watching my kitty so I felt comfortable. My kitty needed medicine with extra care and Marissa nailed it. She sent lots of pictures and the videos I needed for the vet. Great communication! She went above and beyond for my kitties. She is flexible, understanding and kind. Highly recommended and will use her again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
