“Sherri did an amazing job of watching our two cats. They both warmed right up to her and it was clear she is an animal lover. She made sure that they got plenty of love, play time, and attention in addition to all the daily care items. She had excellent communication and sent several photos of the kitties daily. We would definitely use her to watch our kitties again.”

About: I have cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities for family, friends, and neighbors. I currently have a 4-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and have experience caring for a wide variety of breeds. Through both pet ownership and pet sitting, I have become comfortable meeting a range of individual needs, including administering medications, maintaining exercise routines, following special care instructions, and providing plenty of attention and companionship. I understand that every pet is unique, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I am very experienced in balancing time between pet care and school as I am the main caretaker for all my pets. I only work about twice a week and for only a few hours hours so I have plenty of time to care for your pet(s)! I have a car so getting to your house to look after your fur baby is no issue. I also have many years of experience caring for other families animals so I am fully capable of adhering to any needs you might have.

About: If you need someone to give some attention, snuggle, exercise, or anything in between! I have extensive experience administering medications, with or without aids or coercion. (usually! Every dog is different, but I've been trained by veterinary professionals.) I cared for my 13 year-old Lab-mix, Jackson, 24/7 while working from home during Covid lockdowns. Two of those years he was unable to walk unassisted and 100% of his mobility relied on me to go up and down stairs, outside to the bathroom, etc. He needed medications 4 times per day, and so I understand the struggles. In my life I have rescued and raised a squirrel pup, many cats, kittens, dogs, and now I have a 1 year-old pup at home that I have rescued since I just moved here to AZ. (in my picture! Meet Andromeda!) Meet and greets can be done in your home, a park, or wherever you and your pets are comfy! I am currently laid off and can provide nearly any level of support you need within reason. (I do have a pup at home myself that loves and misses me!) I love walking, but I do have physical limits. After sundown is obviously best, but I'm available early mornings too. Mid-day walks are rough on everyone, but I can handle them. I carry TONS of water and ice packs for both the pets and myself. Whatever works best for you and your babies; drop-ins, walks, bathroom breaks only, exercise (light jog for a few miles if they're good on a leash with me!), throwing a ball, playing tug-o-war with rope, whatever they need or want! Low energy? High energy? I'm their man.
About: I have taken care of dogs for 14 years. I’ve taken care of cats for about 20 years. There was an eight year period. Where I was taking care of birds and a 12 year period. Where I was taking care of fish. I work from home as a travel planner, so it is very easy for me to work around your pet schedule. I work with people from all over the world so I’m not on a set time zone. I very rarely leave town so I am readily available for you. More than welcome to come check in on your dogs and let them out for potty breaks and food. I walk my dog around 5:30 AM to beat the heat. Whether you need full walks or just some outside running time, I can provide whatever you may need.

About: i’ve grown up with animals my whole life, so caring for them has always come naturally to me. i really think there’s no better feeling than the joy and companionship animals bring, and i’d love the opportunity to care for yours. over the years, family and friends have trusted me to look after their dogs while they’re away, and i always ensure they receive the attention, exercise, and care they need. i grew up with my brother, who is a professional dog trainer, and while i don’t have the same level of training, i’ve learned so much from him over the years. i can help reinforce simple commands with puppies and younger dogs, and i’m just as happy giving extra love, patience, and attention to senior dogs. i have experience living with and caring for dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors, so i’m confident i can meet the needs of every dog and their unique personality. i especially love spending time with high energy dogs who enjoy playing or going on walks, but i’m always happy to adjust my care to whatever makes your pet feel happiest and most comfortable. i am a college student currently home for the summer so i have open availability at all times of the day during the week unless traveling!!! because of this i will be able to spend as much quality time as needed with your pet. i always make it a priority to pay attention to your pets’ needs and personalities so they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. i love spending time with animals and making sure they get the attention, exercise, and playtime they need throughout the day. i also love the calmer moments, like relaxing with them, giving them extra affection, or simply keeping them company when it’s time to wind down. i spend a lot of time with my own animals at home, making sure they receive the care, attention, and love they need to be happy, and i would love the opportunity to provide that same level of care to your pets.
About: I’ve owned a small poodle for 10 years and have extensive experience dog sitting for both small and large breeds. I’m an athlete who loves staying active, so I’m perfect for energetic pups and long walks. I also have professional training in correctional settings, which means I’m observant, patient, and very safety-focused. I treat every dog like family and prioritize consistency, structure, and love I currently work part time as a server and am on the path to graduate with my masters by the end of next year. I love pet sitting because it is a way for me to get out and be active. My house has a backyard with a doggie door and I really take into consideration the personality of the dog when planning my day. Some dogs like to chill and some like to go for runs or hikes, so I am adjustable to their schedules and preferences.

“Gina is a rare find! She’s super loving with our Labrador retriever and very responsible taking care of our home when we travel. She communicates with us while we are away to let us know how things are going! Highly recommend!!”
“Stephanie took great care of all three of our pups. She was always on time and spent ample time playing with them. I hate leaving them home alone when we leave town but I feel much better knowing that Stephanie was giving them the love and attention they need. I will definitely use her services again.”

“Gwenn and Jeff took great care of our cat Sid while we were away for the week. They sent thorough updates after each visit, kept his feeding area and litter box very clean, and even swept up around the litter area and watered our outdoor plants, which was very generous and caring. Most importantly, Sid seemed happy, relaxed, and well cared for when we returned home. They were kind, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure Sid was comfortable while we were gone. We appreciated having peace of mind during our trip and would feel comfortable booking with Gwenn and Jeff again :)”

I can’t say enough good things about Marissa. She came over twice before watching my kitty so I felt comfortable. My kitty needed medicine with extra care and Marissa nailed it. She sent lots of pictures and the videos I needed for the vet. Great communication! She went above and beyond for my kitties. She is flexible, understanding and kind. Highly recommended and will use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
