“Celestina was incredible! Great communication while me and my wife were away for the weekend and could not be happier with the love and attention she had for our 3 cats. This was our first time using rover and could not be happier with the outcome! Thank you so much for everything, and we will be using her again for our next adventure away from home.”

“Kristine and Michael took great care of our dog while I went out of town. We booked them for a week to come over each day for half an hour to give our dog food and water. They were very responsive and did everything we asked and more. I would highly recommend them to anyone!”

About: Hi! I'm an Assistant Librarian who absolutely loves dogs, cats, and all other pets. I used to have two small dogs, Bella (Chihuahua) and Scotty (Chiweenie), who were my fur-babies for over 15 years. I’ve cared for them since they were puppies into their senior years. I also loved taking care of our family's pets growing up: Pluto (Chiweenie), Spankie (Dalmatian), and Cookie (desert tortoise). I've dog-sat and dog-walked for many friends/family for years. I would love to apply the same love/care I have had for my own pets to yours, whether it's for multiple days or just a moment during a walk! I currently work full time, Monday through Friday from 9 am - 5 pm in east Mesa. I am more than happy to fit pet care in the mornings or evenings on weekdays. I am available for weekends as well. I care for pets in the clients home based on their desired needs/requirements. I am happy to oblige to the client’s preference of where their pet may be in the home.
“We will rebook with Angela ! Got so many updates on our pups with pictures & she loved on them while we were away. Couldn’t ask for more in a sitter. Thank you for working with us 😊”

“Our dog has some anxiety issues but he took a liking to Aryn right away. She went above and beyond our expectations caring for our dog and making sure our house was safe and secure. She spoiled our dog with walks, belly rubs and playtime. Thank you Aryn!”

“Diana did such an incredible job watching my cat while I was away. The detailed daily updates with several photos and videos were awesome and greatly appreciated. You can tell she truly loves cats and she took care of mine wonderfully, I have no doubt my cat felt loved and cared for which is all I could ask and I would not hesitate to book again! I’m glad I chose Diana! 🙂”

Keeping a consistent watch and playful demeanor towards those under my care!
“Sue took excellent care of our 3 cats while we were away for the holidays. She was punctual and communicative, and she kept us up to date on everything. Including that one of our babies was experiencing some concerning symptoms. She was absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond our expectations.”

“Hailey was absolutely fantastic! She has great communication and provided regular photo updates to put our minds at ease. Our dog was well-loved and happy upon our return. We will definitely book her again!”

“Brooke was wonderful! It was our first time using Rover so we were a little nervous but after our meet and greet with Brooke, we knew our furry friend was in good hands. She updated us regularly and was so kind to our old man, Beanie! We will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Jacqueline G. did a great job taking care of my Waizee. She cared for him and treated him like he was her own and did mor than just feeding and cleaning out his Cat boxes. She loved him and got love back from him. I'm so happy for the way she befriended him and me.”

“Michael did a great job watching our dog Max. Max is not only old and fragile but he is also sick and I felt that he was not only in great hands because of the good care but he was also very kind and a great communicator. I am grateful to have found someone to leave my sick dog with while out of town. I will definitely be using Michael again.”

“Lindsay was wonderful! She is very caring with our dogs and took the time to get to know them. One of my dogs had a sick tummy while in Lindsay's care and she was so kind to clean up after her! She also picked up their poo in the yard! What a pleasant surprise!!! Not a lot of dog sitters do that! We will definitely use Lindsay again and again!”
“Donna was absolutely fantastic. She provided constant updates with photos and was always accessible. Knowing that she was taking care of our dog, Lily, made us feel so comfortable with being out of town over the holidays. I would definitely recommend!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Higley
Amara treated my fur babies like family. Although my cats were extremely shy, she made every effort to make them feel safe and loved, ensuring all of their needs were met. Amara was very responsive and attentive to any changes that occurred. I would recommend her to pet parent who wants the very best care for their babies!!!
One of the hardest things for us when we travel is leaving our fur babies at the mercy of someone we don’t know. From our initial contact to our final goodbye bye, Melissa was kind and responsive. The daily updates and pictures helped with our separation anxiety. We will be using Melissa for all of our pet sitting needs. Thank you!

This was our first time having Nina cared for by someone outside our circle and are appreciative that Amber was available over the holiday. She approached Nina with patience, which my wife and I really appreciated, and now understand Nina needs a little space when meeting someone new. We also appreciate how responsive she was and shared photos that made us feel at ease while we were away. We'll definitely consider Amber down the line. Thanks again!

Ambre was an absolute lifesaver for our two cats, Coconut and Kona! She stepped in at the last minute and provided phenomenal care. Her attentiveness, clear communication, and efficiency were beyond impressive. Ambre kept us updated with photos and messages, giving us complete peace of mind while we were away. She went above and beyond, ensuring our cats were happy, comfortable, and well-cared for. We couldn’t ask for a better sitter. Ambre was truly amazing, and we highly recommend her to anyone needing top notch pet care!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
