“Absolutely great having Kylee take care of our cat. You can tell she really loves and cares for animals and it showed. She went above and beyond in her service and couldn’t recommend her more!”

About: I have two dogs here at home who I love and care for. They are definitely a handful and keep me busy all day everyday. One German Shepard and one Pitbull/Husky mix. Very energetic and love to play nonstop. If there is anyone who can care for crazy puppies it’s definitely me with the experience I got with these two. I’ve had dogs all my life and started caring for them on my own when I was around 8 years old. I have plenty of personal experience with all kinds of dogs. I love them as much as I hope they love me. Whatever you need me to do for them I will do. Let me care for your dogs the way I care for mine! I currently have no work at the moment so I’m available all day everyday and can stay for as long as necessary whenever you need me. I will keep the dogs company and make sure they don’t make a mess in the house that I will be watching them in for as long as I am taking care of them.

“When our scheduled sitter ended up being a no show, I turned to Rover and found Kylene who was willing to take a last minute request over the holidays and was absolutely amazing! She was great with our kitties and everything was managed perfectly. Can't wait to use her services again and highly recommend her!!”
“Bridget was fantastic! She went above and beyond in caring for my dogs, treating them like her own. Not only did she make sure they were well-fed and comfortable, but she also took them on walks, played with them, and gave them plenty of love and attention. The best part? She kept me updated every day with photos, videos, and texts, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I came home to happy, well-cared-for pups, and I couldn’t be more grateful. If you’re looking for a kind, reliable, and dedicated sitter, look no further—Bridget is the best! I will definitely be booking her again. Highly recommend!”

“Cris was an amazing sitter. She took care of my Mindy for a week and she kept me informed every visit with how she was doing and sent lots of pictures. She went above and beyond and made me feel completely comfortable leaving Mindy in her capable care. You can trust Cris to take as good of care of your house as well. Your home will look exactly like you left it, neat and tidy. I cannot thank her enough for taking such good care of Mindy.”

About: I’ve owned a small poodle for 10 years and have extensive experience dog sitting for both small and large breeds. I’m an athlete who loves staying active, so I’m perfect for energetic pups and long walks. I also have professional training in correctional settings, which means I’m observant, patient, and very safety-focused. I treat every dog like family and prioritize consistency, structure, and love I currently work part time as a server and am on the path to graduate with my masters by the end of next year. I love pet sitting because it is a way for me to get out and be active. My house has a backyard with a doggie door and I really take into consideration the personality of the dog when planning my day. Some dogs like to chill and some like to go for runs or hikes, so I am adjustable to their schedules and preferences.
“Griselda is fantastic! Batman warmed up to her and was begging for pets after just 1 day (which is amazing considering he's a VERY shy rescue cat). She fed him his special diet and arrived at our scheduled times. She was in contact with us during our whole trip and sent pictures/videos which helped us to relax knowing he was taken care of. She even fixed our Roomba after it got caught on one of his cat toys which I'm sure Batman appreciated too! Will definitely book Griselda again for our catsitting needs. Thank you!”

“LaDawn is such a awesome person I appreciate the work she did to make my dog comfortable with her I will definitely book again when I go on a trip my home and dog was safe with her thanks again”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Blackwater. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
