“Aryn, thank you again for taking care of little ones. I’m glad we found you on Rover and will definitely rebook when other trips come up. We were happy to get away and not worry about who was Caring for Gator and Lulu. Have a great day and hope to rebook soon.”

“Masey was amazing! She was very accommodating and understanding when the schedule was changed at the last minute. She was so sweet to my girls and they loved her! I really appreciate her and will definitely have her watch the girls next time I have to go out of town!”

About: I’ve owned a small poodle for 10 years and have extensive experience dog sitting for both small and large breeds. I’m an athlete who loves staying active, so I’m perfect for energetic pups and long walks. I also have professional training in correctional settings, which means I’m observant, patient, and very safety-focused. I treat every dog like family and prioritize consistency, structure, and love I currently work part time as a server and am on the path to graduate with my masters by the end of next year. I love pet sitting because it is a way for me to get out and be active. My house has a backyard with a doggie door and I really take into consideration the personality of the dog when planning my day. Some dogs like to chill and some like to go for runs or hikes, so I am adjustable to their schedules and preferences.
“Our pets loved Alanna! She's very attentive and made sure to complete the tasks our spoiled fur babies require. Pictures of them were taken everyday which we looked forward to. We are definitely going to book with her again!”

She fits in the pack perfectly, and even our diva pig (who can be standoffish, imagine that LOL) loves her! Brittany connects with the animals, and provides love and fun, making it so much easier to travel, as she takes the stress away when it comes to our fur babies! She takes the upmost care and keeping of them!!!”

About: While I have no pet of my own since leaving for college, I enjoy spending time with animals and seek to hang out with some furry friends. In college I have looked after my aunt and uncle's dog for 3 years, taking her out on potty breaks and walks between and after class every day. After I graduated, I spent a summer in Denmark where I spent one of those months house sitting for a family off of "Trusted House Sitters" and got to take care of Kenzo (Brown currly haired poddle in photos). I have always had pets, one time even 5 in one household! I am used to helping out my family or watching my friends' pets when they are out of town, so I thought I would enjoy participating on Rover and help others with their pet needs! I am a recent graduate from Texas A&M and I recently just moved to Arizona for my job. I currently live with my family and don't have much to do on the weekends. I work full-time but get off at 2:30-3:00 every day, so if you have a late work day, are out of town, or just don't feel like walking the dogs that day, I would love to help! In a client’s home, I focus on creating a calm, predictable environment so pets feel safe and comfortable. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible (feeding schedule, walk times, crate or bed preferences) and always use the owner’s instructions as my guide.

“BEST sitter we have ever had. Dakota fell madly in love with Cristina and I’m so thankful for her attention and care to my senior boy. I received the best pictures and updates. He will miss her until our next booking.”

“We were nervous about leaving our dog for the first time, but Mercedes immediately put us at ease. She was kind, professional, and attentive, and sent daily photo updates that made all the difference. It was clear our dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. Mercedes’ reliability and genuine care made the experience completely stress-free. We’re so grateful and will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Hailey was absolutely fantastic! She has great communication and provided regular photo updates to put our minds at ease. Our dog was well-loved and happy upon our return. We will definitely book her again!”

“Lindsay was wonderful! She is very caring with our dogs and took the time to get to know them. One of my dogs had a sick tummy while in Lindsay's care and she was so kind to clean up after her! She also picked up their poo in the yard! What a pleasant surprise!!! Not a lot of dog sitters do that! We will definitely use Lindsay again and again!”
“Absolutely great having Kylee take care of our cat. You can tell she really loves and cares for animals and it showed. She went above and beyond in her service and couldn’t recommend her more!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Chandler Heights
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Aryn and Matthew! They were absolutely amazing with our three dogs, and the communication was top-notch from beginning to end. They responded quickly, checked in and out exactly when requested, and sent thoughtful updates, detailed notes about our dogs’ activities, and lots of pictures! We felt completely comfortable and confident leaving our fur babies in their care, which gave us such peace of mind and allowed us to truly enjoy our family weekend away. It was so reassuring knowing our pups were in such good hands and being so well cared for! Thank you both for going above and beyond. We are so grateful to have found you and will absolutely be booking with you again! We highly recommend Aryn and Matthew to anyone looking for reliable, caring, and truly exceptional pet sitters. Your fur babies will be in great hands with them! 🐾❤️
It was my first experience using this app and my first time trusting a complete stranger to take care of my dog. I was very nervous at first. Since my dog is a senior, it’s important for me to know that she’s eating, drinking, and going potty normally, so I really appreciated that Jacqueline kept me updated throughout the stay. She sent me photos, gave my dog her vitamins, and even watered my plants as I had asked. She took wonderful care of everything, and my dog came home happy and relaxed. I truly can’t recommend Jacqueline enough. She made my very first experience with both this app and having someone stay in my apartment while caring for my dog completely stress-free. I’m so grateful for her kindness, communication, and professionalism. Thank you so much, Jacqueline—I would absolutely book with you again!

Cassie was excellent! She clearly loves the animals, and it was a huge relief to know they were in good hands. One of our cats needs and inhaler twice a day, and she was willing to learn how to administer it, and had no hesitations. Our dog was also a big fan of her. And even our more secretive cat came out for a peek! She was easy to communicate with, and I would deifnitely recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter or other services.

Audrey was simply amazing to our Abby! She was always on time to come feed her, spent extra time with her when she could, took her for walks, gave her cuddles and kept us posted with pictures. It was really comforting to know that Abby was well taken care of while we were gone. I'm so glad we found Audrey to care for Abby when we are away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
