“We love Rae! She is so good with our special needs cattle dog and we know she has strong judgment if something unexpected happens (like running into an off-leash dog while on a walk with our sensitive guy). Cannot recommend her enough.”

“Cody did an amazing job taking care of Dakota and made sure she got all of the medication she needed. She seemed happy, healthy, and very well cared for when I got back. He was also great at helping her feel more comfortable and confident around the apartment complex, which I really appreciated. Cody was reliable, attentive, and clearly cares about the pets he works with. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.”

“Nancy was AMAZING!!!! She communicates frequently and sends lots of pictures and videos. We have a dog that is not very welcoming and by the end of the four days she allowed Nancy to pet her. I will definitely use Nancy again and highly recommend her to others.”

About: Caring for animals is truly a joy for me. I love spending time with pets of all kinds and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I have over 4 years of experience taking care of both dogs and cats. You can trust that your pets will be safe, loved, and well looked after while in my care. I am currently in between jobs, so my schedule is completely open at this time until further notice. I prefer to take care of pets during the weekdays if possible, but weekends are open as well. I have four cats of my own, so I understand firsthand the love and care pets need every day. For that reason, I prefer caring for pets in their own homes, where they feel most comfortable and secure. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure to follow your pet’s routine and give them the same love and attention I give my own.
“Devinnie was such a great friend to Theo while I was away. She sent lots of photos, spent plenty of time with him and overall did a fantastic job. Devinnie was also very respectful of my home and I felt completely at ease having her there. I would recommend Devinnie to any pet parent!”

“Bailey does a great job with our senior dog. She is very communicative and keeps us informed. She’s is quick to notice anything that might need attention and goes above and beyond. Most importantly, we get back home to a happy and well cared for fur-baby. 😊”

About: I'm the proud owner of a rambunctious little goldendoodle that I've raised from puppyhood to adulthood, so I have plenty of experience with caring for dogs through every stage of life, in both sickness and health, and from fussy moods to bouts of hyperactivity. Moreover, I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have kept everything from gerbils to birds. As a pet owner, I know it can be stressful leaving your sweet little angel with someone new. My goal is to give you peace of mind and provide attentive care for your pet. More than happy to accommodate any special requests. Glad to send pics and updates as well! I occasionally travel for work, but when I'm home, I have a very flexible schedule and can devote plenty of time to the pets I'm caring for. I'm also an early riser, so morning walks and feeding schedules are never a problem. I will care for your pet as if they were my own. I take the responsibility seriously and will always keep you in the loop. If your pet has any special needs or routine (whether it's avoiding certain foods, allergens, other dogs, or following specific care instructions), I'll be happy to accommodate them. Your peace of mind is my priority.
About: For the past 14 years, dogs have been a constant in my life. Not just my own, but friends' and family's too. Puppies, seniors, high-energy breeds, anxious dogs, multi-dog household. I've spent real time with all of it, learning that every dog needs something a little different, and that paying attention, keeping their routine, making them feel safe and loved is the whole job. I structure my days so a dog's needs never come second. Because I run my own schedule, pet care isn't something I'm trying to squeeze in between other commitments. It's something I build my week around. Some weeks that means set blocks of time I protect on purpose; other weeks it shifts depending on what's going on, but the dogs in my care are never an afterthought to fit in wherever there's room. Walks, meals, playtime, potty breaks, and enrichment all happen on a real schedule, not a generic one, but the one that actually works for the dog I'm caring for. Here's what safety and consistency actually look like, service by service. DROP-INS: Visits run 30 minutes, with longer time available. Potty break, feeding, fresh water, enrichment/play time would be my suggestion. But if you have a different routine you’d like me follow please let me know. Quick doesn't mean rushed. Calm, efficient, connected is the goal. *During summer AZ temperatures Drop-In bookings would be my recommendation* WALKS: 30 minutes is standard, with longer walks available on request. The pace is set by your dog. Some days it's a slow "Snifari" kind of walk, where the neighborhood message board is filled with interesting updates. 🐶: "Wow, Winston got two pup cups in one day… hmm, how do I get the algorithm to put that on my pet parent's FYP page?" Other days it's a high-energy, work off those extra treats kind of day. I follow their lead and read what they need. HOUSE SITTING: I stay in your home for the full length of the booking. I won't be taking on other responsibilities beyond the care of your dogs and home. This is the highest level of care I offer, and it's priced that way. You're not booking a visit. You're booking someone who's actually there. The only times I'd be away for a longer stretch are quick grocery runs or errands for the dogs, or if your booking falls over a weekend. I attend church on Sundays and would be at service for approximately 2 hours. Meals, walks, medication, and playtime happen on the schedule you set. If you're not a schedule type of person, then just let me know what you would require in terms of responsibility on my end. Overnight, your dog stays wherever they normally would. If that's the bed, it's the bed. If that's their own spot, it's their own spot. I follow your house, not the other way around. If you have any plants that need watering, or mail/packages that need to come in, I'm happy to include that in my service. Pictures: I love taking them. I have an eye for capturing great moments, so unless you tell me otherwise, I'll be sending them your way. Communication: This is based on your comfort level. I typically send one update in the morning and one in the evening, but if you'd like more or less, just tell me. Hopefully I've covered everything. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out :)

About: I feel like I have a special gift with animals. Every Furry Friend is different and when their Parents go away they're all going to have their unique needs to make everything okay. I have a genuine love for animals. I stay 100% of the time at your house. Your home becomes my home base. I won't leave for more than 4 hours. I am retired. I can't think of a better way to spend my time than with animals. An extra bonus is being around unconditional love all the time! My experience with overnight care is your pets do so much.better in their own home. Smells, Toys, all their Stuff. I try to stick as close to their normal routine as possible.
“Trisha took great care of my cat, Mars. She was flexible when I asked her to make extra visits and skip others. She kept her appointments, sometimes stayed overtime, and made sure he was fed and cared for. I can highly recommend her.”

“Claire took wonderful care of my four cats and my fish while I was away. She is extremely patient and detail oriented she always made sure to find my shy, hiding kitties to confirm they were doing well, and she kept an eye on everything in my home to make sure it was all in good shape. I felt very reassured knowing my pets were in such caring hands. Highly recommended!”

“Shelby is so sweet and personable and she took great care of my dog Nash who loves to pull on the leash and pee on every bush he sees lol. She is great with communication and sent me multiple pictures which I loved 🥰 Would absolutely recommend her to care for your fur babies!!”

“John did drop-in visits for my cats and was absolutely amazing! They were getting loved on, fed, and played with as if they were his own pets. 10/10 recommend. Will be rebooking!”

“I was nervous about leaving our little guy nearly 2 weeks for the first time. Riley immediately took to Jessica at our meet and greet, which was great. She followed daily routines helping him to feel as normal as possible. I received pictures and updates on his progress at every visit. I’m so happy we found her and she will definitely be our go to for Riley. Thank you Jessica, you are Amazing!”

“Candace is super nice and great with pups! She did an awesome job checking in on our 11 week old Labradoodle. She did 4 visits for us and we will definitely re-book her the next time we need someone!! Highly recommend her! :)”

About: Hello! I have 2 dogs that live most of the time at my dad’s. I still walk them and take them to the park on a weekly basis. I’ve grown up with big dogs and now I have two smaller ones (Australian shepherd and cavalier). I am a huge animal person and truly believe dogs are man’s best friend lol. I think most dogs/animals definitely warm up to me, and I am flexible with any size or type of dog. Very excited to meet your fur family! I am a recruiter for a Software company so I am working mostly from 8-5pm pst. As long as I have a computer, I can work from anywhere to make sure I have ample time to take care of your pets. I care for them deeply. I will always try and warm up to the animals at first, but I can also be patient. I try to take them to the park as much as possible as well.

Elisa is my cat’s primary sitter and is the absolute best. The care, concern, and time she shows my baby girl is incredible and very much appreciated. Elisa is also very detail oriented and responsive, which gives me peace of mind. If you’re looking for a sitter, I highly recommend Elisa. She loves animals and makes caring for them a priority. When Elisa watches my cat, I know she is in good hands.

Trisha was fantastic! We needed a cat sitter on very short notice due to flooding and construction issues in the bedroom of our apartment, and she was a lifesaver. She provided helpful updates, sent tons of cute photos, and took wonderful care of our cats. We recently moved out of range of our old sitter and have officially found our new favorite. Thank you so much Trisha, we can’t recommend you enough! 💞🐾

Nancy was incredibly attentive to my two kitties' needs. I have one cat who hides around new people and makes it difficult to nurture, hands-on. And one cat that was not feeling well and had a couple of accidents (which is not normal, so we were very worried). She remained in communication during each visit and adjusted needs as we went along to ensure they were eating well and as comfortable as possible while we were away. She is very caring and patient, accommodating, and thorough. She read our care plan instructions and referenced each need each day. I appreciate the time and care she gave to our little ones, and in our home. I would recommend Nancy for anyone who needs a great, caring sitter!

Nicole was wonderful! She was quick to respond, punctual, and made sure my puppy was well taken care of. I received many pictures + videos of them which made me so happy while I was at work. She made sure to go above and beyond by helping train my puppy and reinforcing the things we are teaching him. I would recommend her + will definitely be using again!

Alexa did a great job with everything I asked and my babies were happy to have her check in daily. My one cat is very friendly and needs attention so for Alexa to come and check on her that means the world to her. She was very responsive and sent daily photos of my cat during each of her check ins which helped ease some of the anxiety a pet owner may face when traveling and leaving them back home. Thank you so much, highly recommend Alexa for future stays.

Tatum was amazing! She came over right on time, and Mac went straight up to her with no hesitation—which says a lot! I signed up last minute, and she was so accommodating. It was super convenient. Mac had gotten into some mud and was quite a mess before I had to leave, but Tatum took care of everything. She gave him a bath and even left the bathroom spotless. When I got home, Mac was clean, happy, and clearly loved the attention. Tatum is friendly, warm, and so easy to talk to—both with me and with Mac. I’ll definitely be booking her again! Thank you, Rover and Tatum, for such a great experience.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
