“Tom took wonderful care of our Pup KC on his drop in visit. Our pup KC usually doesn't warm up to some one new right away, but when he met Tom he immediately approved with lots of tail wags and a big smile. .We definitely will be used by Tom in the future to care if our boy. 😀”

“Breanna was so good with our pups. We decided last second to go out on new years and needed someone to let them out for a potty break. She quickly replied yes and loved our fur babies for us, making it so much easier for us to feel comfortable staying out to celebrate.”

“Kendall was the best for my kitties! She took such good care of them, and she kept me updated the entire time with plenty of pictures. I felt at peace knowing my cats were in her care.”

“Nicole was very prompt with her visits. Because we were out of town, it was important for us to have a reliable person caring for our kitten. She did everything we asked and our kitten warmed up to her quickly. Would definitely have her back again!”

“Jeff is a very conscientious and caring dog sitter. One of my dogs needs extra special care with diet and medication. he always gave bear his medication on time and his special feedings. Having him take care of my dogs, added a great piece of mind during my vacation. I plan on using Jeff on a regular basis he is great and reliable”

“The absolute best caregiver that my cats have ever had. Sibel took care of my 3 cats, Stripey, Buddy and Tiny Peanut. She would come in and greet them all each visit. She would talk to them and play with them each visit. They took to her right away. Even the two that tend to be slow to warm up to people. She is such a warm and loving person. I had complete peace while I was away. She gave my cats treats, petted them, played with them, talked to them and brushed them. This is the best care they have ever received. I plan to use Sibel for all my cat care going forward if she has availability. They absolutely love her. Sibel is completely trustworthy and followed all of my instructions for my cats. I’m grateful for her great care.”

“Andrew and Sophia have been fantastic pet sitter for our dog, Pinion. This was his first time being cared for by someone outside the family, and he’s been adjusting well thanks to their kind and patient approach. They are very communicative and provide prompt, thoughtful updates after each visit—including daily photos, which give us peace of mind and a glimpse into how he’s doing. Their observations have even helped us fine-tune Pinion’s routine to stay consistent with his usual schedule. We’re so grateful for the care and attention they’ve shown. Highly recommend!”

About: I know how to take care of animals that are highly reactive due to my sweet rescue. I was raised around lots of different animals since I was a toddler and often watched on them even as a small child. As I got older and my mother started leaving for weeks for work so I’d watch my dog, cat, and two tree frogs on my own for years. I currently have two dogs and cat I care for that are happy and healthy. I’ve also always participated in neighbor dog walking and frequently volunteer at shelters. I am in school Monday through Thursday but am available early morning and late night those days and can be flexible. Weekend are completely open. I always remain courteous and respectful in other peoples private spaces. A persons home is incredibly private and I would make sure that trust is kept. I will follow your instructions exactly and make sure your pet and you are happy!
“Michelle did a great job with my boys! I was a first time Rover user, and she set my mind at ease while I was away. Lots of updates with pics and goofy grins from my guys. Overall great experience!”
“Our family highly recommends Amanda to take care of your fur baby! Amanda was awesome with our 5 month Goldendoodle puppy! Our Goldendoodle didn’t want her to leave! :) That’s how much he loves her! She quickly responded to our pet sit request. She asked great questions about the care of our puppy. We are definitely booking Amanda again!”

About: I am a dependable and caring pet sitter with experience caring for dogs and cats of different ages and personalities. I have completed pet sitting for a pit bull over a 4-day stay and cared for three cats, including a young kitten, for 4 days. In addition, I have experience helping care for family pets, including golden retrievers and cats. I understand the importance of providing pets with attention, exercise, playtime, feeding, fresh water, and a safe, comfortable environment. I am patient, responsible, and committed to following each pet owner's instructions so their pets feel secure and well cared for while they are away. I’m currently working part time 3 days a week in Tempe, and have plenty of free time to care for your animals, I normally am good with booking and try to care for pets every week! In my home and/or my clients home I always make sure all animals are safe and taken care of, making sure they have been fed and taken on walks throughout the day.
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was a little girl. I’ve watched friends and families dogs, fed, walked, bathed, etc. and now I am looking to expand my pet care services. Prefer hypoallergenic dogs and dogs that weigh under 40 lbs, will consider all requests depending on the dog. I always had dogs since I can remember. I look forward to hearing from you! I am home full time and can cater to your dogs specific needs. I can let them out often and we can take walks, and play! I have a fenced in yard, I can allow as much outside or indoor time as your dog is use to. My house is minimal with a lot of room for your dog to explore and or just chill out and have a calm and relaxed environment.
About: I have been taking care of pets since before I could remember. I believe that pets are what make the world go round, and always strive to make them as happy as can be! I have a small, calm dog and cat here in Arizona, and two large, crazy dogs back in Maine. I definitely understand how both ends of the spectrum can be! All my pets have made it from early puppy, to late senior so I understand the vital importance and factors of taking care of a youthful/elderly pet. I am only working part-time at the moment so taking care of your pets on the weekend is not a problem for me! I also work early mornings so I am free in the afternoons/evenings during the week for all services except overnight stay! MY HOUSE: I have a small, calm/friendly dog that would love to keep your furry friend company. He can be locked away in a separate area of the house if needed! I also have a small, calm/friendly cat but she will be locked away for all visitations/overnights because she gets scared easily. I have a beautiful fenced in backyard with a pool and fake grass. All pet waste gets cleaned up so it’s always hygienic. I will take your dog for a long walk 2 times per day. I will follow your desired feeding/play schedule and administer any medicine if needed. YOUR HOUSE: I will do all the same as listed above! If you have no fenced backyard, I will take your dog on multiple walks a day to get their energy out. I will also follow any crate training instructions if desired.
About: I've owned and cared for dogs my whole life, currently a 70-lb standard poodle who keeps me active daily. I'm comfortable handling large and high-energy breeds, managing leashes and walks safely, and keeping a consistent feeding, exercise, and potty routine. I'm currently studying for my EMT certification, so I stay calm and level-headed if anything unexpected comes up — your pet's safety is always my first priority. I'm reliable and detail-oriented, and I always keep owners updated with photos and notes. I also handle basic cat care — feeding, fresh water, litter, and play during drop-in visits. I have a flexible, open schedule right now, so I can fit walks, drop-ins, and visits throughout the day and week. I prefer early mornings and evenings for walks to keep pets safe and comfortable in the Arizona heat, and I'm happy to work around your pet's routine, whether that's a quick midday potty break or daily exercise. In your home, I follow your instructions closely and always double-check that doors and gates are secured before and after every visit. On walks I keep dogs leashed and under control, watch the pavement temperature, and carry water on hot days. I keep cats fed, watered, and their litter clean, and I send photos and a quick update every visit so you always know your pet is safe and content.
About: I have been dog sitting for as long as I can remember, I take care of them like they’re my own. I’ve volunteered at animal shelters and have dog sat all over the country. I will watch whatever animal you have, snakes, turtles, etc. I work from home so if your dog doesn’t like people leaving then that won’t be a problem. I’ve taken care of dogs that need medication (oral/injection). Does your dog like walks? If so, I’m willing to use my own vehicle to take them to a park or walk them around the block! I don’t leave the house that much but when I do the dog is always willing to go with me if the owners allow it. I live in an apartment, I have a family pug that I walk, when he’s at the apartment, as much as he can handle with his diabetes and partial blindness.
About: I can care for feathers 🪶, fins 🐟 and fur 🐈⬛🐕. Anything you need really. I love animals and have spent my whole life working with them. I have two rescue kitties myself. I am flexible, I work for a major hospital Monday-Wednesday. This is my part time job the 4 days I’m not at work :) I really only need 24 hr notice. If you are in dire need of your pet to be checked on I can do my best to accommodate shorter notice. I cannot board any pets, or stay overnight. I have two kitties 🐈⬛ of my own to care for. I do house visits and walks.
About: Certified vet tech for 7 years! I’ve always pet sat for clients, friends, and family on the side! My biggest help is word of mouth. I have plenty of references I can send! I love bonding with your pet and making them feel safe as well as allowing you to be less stressed during your time away from them! I currently am full time employed at an animal hospital. My favorite thing to do is keep you updated with pictures each day of your cutie or cuties! I currently work full time in Fountain Hills! I’m off one full day during the week and off Sundays as well and most Saturdays. I occasionally work Saturdays but only until noon! For now I would have to stop by morning and night (lunchtime on my off days or if your house is near my work) and after work!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fountain Hills
Sibel is amazing! She did such a wonderful job taking care of our sweet old cats while we were out of town. She made sure each one had individualized attention and lots of love, deapite them being shy, and shared lots of pictures with us! All of this made us feel so much better being away from our kitties, especially knowing that they were in loving and attentive hands. We would love to have Sibel as our pet sitter any time!

Madeleine or Maddie was an exceptional pet sitter for us. Our usual sitter was not available and I reached out to Maddie at the last minute before travel. She was immediately responsive to my request. Throughout her visits she continued to be responsive and very proactive taking care of our kitties. A real professional and will definitely reach out to her again before our next trip!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
