“Great experience! She took excellent care of our cat and even stayed a little longer than we requested. Very responsible and caring. Highly recommend! 🐱❤️”

About: I treat all pets as if they were my own. I am very patient with waiting for them to open up to me. They usually warm up to me pretty quickly <3 I'm currently enrolled in school full time which means I am only available after 4pm on Tuesday through Friday which I can dedicate to walks and home visits. I have open availability on weekends! My only pet at the moment is a little senior chihuahua dachshund mix. She has been my pride is joy from the moment she was brought home. She's spoiled so I know how to care for the bratty ones <3
About: Hi I’m Kris! I am looking to provide personalized care for your fur babies! I get along with all animals and I really just enjoy being around them. I have experience giving meds to even the most difficult pups, nail trimming, bath time, and play time. My goal is to create a fun and loving environment for your fur baby. I am home all day and most weekends! I have a Great Dane that loves playing with other dogs. Instead of getting another dog I figured why not just socialize him with other dogs while helping someone who needs to take a trip, or just needs daytime care while they work. I am a genuine person who goes above and beyond for people. I would love the opportunity to care for your pups! I work from home and my pup is always with me. It’s a lot of administrative work so noise isn’t much of an issue. I have found once pups are comfortable they tend to tire themselves out and snuggle :) I get them outside frequently for exercise and to burn all that puppy energy. If your pup is more relaxed than I have comfy couches for them to lounge as well! Pets who I watch in my home will be cared for and loved as my own. Currently my dog and I cuddle, watch movies, play, and he gets an unlimited amount of belly rubs. I do not mind grooming or nail cutting.
“The dogs had a great time and were very relaxed when I got home. It was my first time using Rover. We usually board the dogs but my older lab had a broken toe which was still healing. I was worried about him being out of the house. The daily photos were so reassuring to see him and my other dog happy and comfortable. I'm so happy to have better option to boarding.”

About: Love pets and would love to spend time with your dogs. I walk my dog multiple times a week and would love to help you out with your pet needs as well! I am a stay at home mom, with both kids in school now, so I have lots of time to fill it with activities and would love pet care to be one them! Very flexible during the week and weekends! Very flexible to come to your house or have your pets to my house. I have a very friendly small dog who loves friends. Very flexible depending on your needs!
“Janet did a great job caring for our dogs over Christmas! She has a kind, gentle and caring nature and is wonderful with animals. We were so glad she was able to dogsit for us during our brief vacation. I’m pretty sure our dogs already want her to come back. :)”
About: I’ve had dogs since I was 5 years old! I currently have a 12 year old Labrador and a 16 year old French Poodle. I’ve dog sat for many families, including overnight stays, drop ins, and daytime care. I absolutely love dogs and am always the person who stops to say hi to every dog I see! I treat every dog like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I’m currently a full-time college student at ASU! I have classes from 11am–6pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and from 4:30-5:15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I occasionally work a serving job on the weekends, but I’m happy to adjust my schedule if it interferes with a dog-sitting job. Other than that, I’m home often and would be able to give your dog plenty of attention, take them on walks, or simply keep them company! I truly love all dogs and treat every pet as if they were my own. I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re with me. Whether they want to play, go for a walk, cuddle up next to me while I do homework, or simply relax and keep me company, I’m happy to be there for them and give them the attention they need.

“Kim is awesome! She clearly loves animals and treated our pups as if they were her own. Our dogs adored her. My wife and I didn’t have to worry while we were traveling knowing that they were being well taken care of. :) :)”

About: I have had dogs and cats my entire life, and I am very good with the animals. I love meeting new animals, and helping people so this is a great way to do both! I currently do not have any pets, I lost my dog Charlie recently called and have been very lonely without her. I thought this could be a great way to earn money while getting to hang out with the unconditional love of animals. I am hard-working and trustworthy. I will treat your baby the very best. I know how important our animals are to us, And how scary it can be to leave them with a stranger. I hope I can become a friend to you and your pet. Thank you. Pet care fits naturally into my day because I enjoy making time for animals. I plan my schedule around the care each pet needs, including feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, and affection. I’ll follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I care for pets with patience, attention, and lots of love. In a client’s home, I follow their instructions and their pet’s usual routine, including feeding, fresh water, walks or litter box cleaning, and playtime. I respect your home and keep pet areas clean and tidy. I have a fenced in yard and an animal friendly house for in home sitting. I let each pet set the pace, whether they want cuddles, active play, or a little space to feel comfortable. I also send photos and updates so you can see how your pet is doing while you’re away.
“Elora was incredible with our small puppy, Bodie. We used her for a drop-in home visit, she fed the puppy his lunch, played with him and took him out for potty breaks. She’s an excellent communicator, took photos of our little guy and felt comfortable asking me a quick question too. I won’t hesitate to use Elora in the future - she’s awesome!!!”

About: I’ve grown up caring for a variety of animals including dogs and cats which has given me hands-on experience with different needs and personalities. I’m a big animal lover and have spent the past four years pet sitting for family and friends, primarily caring for dogs and cats. Through this, I’ve developed a strong sense of responsibility, patience, and attention to detail when it comes to animal care. I’m excited to continue expanding my experience and learn how to care for all types of animals. I currently just finished school and am taking the summer off so I have a lot more time on my hands so if I available I would love to help out! I follow what the owner would like me to do and I always ask plenty of questions to understand the animal I will be working with.
“Brian was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was communicative throughout and showed true care and regard for our kittens. I would welcome Brian in to my home again and would recommend his services to everyone I know. Thanks, Brian!”

About: I've lived and worked with animals most of my life. Sitting for disabled pets, dogs, turtles, cats and birds. My goal is to keep them happy so you can explore the world. When I'm with an animal, they get love and attention while I work from the couch on a hybrid schedule. (3 days in office a week) They are fed, watered, played and bathroom'd when needed. I generally will come to their house so their life is less disturbed and they can stay with the routine the family has established. Written instructions for care will be followed.
About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I can remember. Even various other animals such as chinchillas, bunnies, and guinea pigs! I have potty trained, crate trained, house trained, and taught tricks. While I am dedicating my time to taking care of, walking, and spending time with your animal, I would gladly take them to the dog park or picking up some sweet treats! I also have a Siberian Husky, she’s about 8 months old and loves everyone. I would gladly bring her if it is comfortable with you to be able to play with your animal. I currently volunteer at the Arizona Humane Society from 7am-10am Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and in September I will be a full time college student but I would be glad to dedicate some of my free time to hangout or walk some cuties! I am currently volunteering at the Arizona Humane Society from 7-10 am Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday’s. I also work a part time Job which is usually at night and on the weekends from 4pm -12:30am. About: Hi Rover! My name is Dominique and I am a friendly, outgoing dog-lover located in Phoenix,AZ. I am passionate about dogs and animals in general because of them! Since then, I have donated to the ASPCA and volunteered at the Humane Society both in Tucson and Phoenix,AZ attending to all kinds of dogs at the facility and providing them with the love and attention they deserve. I have also sitted for friends' and family member's dogs on multiple occassions. I am currently open to taking care of all kinds of dogs (any breed, young or old), as long as it seems like a good fit for both of us! I work from home a majority of the week (M-F) as I have my own business, and then I work at a farmers market early mornings on the weekends. I am home a majority of the day and I do not have any pets or children. I offer a safe, relaxed, and clean home, and would make your dog feel like my own. I feel I am a great addition to the Rover community and would love the opportunity to sit for your pet! I live in a 3rd floor apartment in a large apartment complex with multiple doggie grass areas to walk and play. The complex is dog friendly and includes dog waste bags at each grass area. The apartment is very safe, gated all the way around and many of my neighbors own dogs. I am fine with dogs staying in my home with or without a crate, whatever you as their owner prefers!

Zoe was incredible. Our two cats are social but can take awhile to adjust to routine changes, and I was worried a weekend would throw them off. Zoe sent photos, videos of them playing, and obviously cared well for them based on how content they were when we returned. She was communicative and kind, and ALWAYS on time with check-ins, which was a huge comfort during our time away from the kids. Would definitely book her again.

We had such a great experience with Stephanie! She did an amazing job with our dogs during her drop-in visit. They were so happy and comfortable, which gave us so much peace of mind. She also left excellent notes and sent us lots of pictures, which we really appreciated. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our dogs and made sure they were well taken care of. We will definitely be booking with her again! Highly recommend! 🐶❤️

Tamarr was very comfortable, understanding, and friendly meeting my big German Shepherd even though the dog was barking, and the dog warmed up to Tamarr really quickly. She has a very warm personality and I am confident she took great care of my dog. She always showed up on time and stayed with Nami to hang out with her even just for drop-in appointments. She is very communicative and sent pictures every visit so I could see how the dog was doing. Thank you Tamarr!

Tori was amazing! She had great communication the entire time, was super easy to work with, and really made me feel comfortable leaving my pets in her care. She went above and beyond, and my pets seemed so happy and well cared for when we got home. I could tell she genuinely cared and I would absolutely book with her again!

Zoey was absolutely incredible with our dogs while we were away. She was attentive, communicative, reliable, and clearly cared for our dogs like they were her own. We received regular updates, photos, and felt completely at ease knowing our dogs were in such great hands. It’s not easy finding someone you fully trust with your pets, and Zoey exceeded every expectation. We came home to happy, well-cared-for dogs and couldn’t be more grateful. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing sitter on Rover!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks.
