“Kimberly was great with Blair and we hope to have her over with our pup in the future! Very responsive, respectful of our home, and we received frequent updates during the stay!”

“Samantha was great with our dogs. It was a last minute booking since our sitter bailed, and it worked out great! She was very accommodating, kept us informed with how the dogs were doing and was responsive. Will definitely use her services again!”

“Olivia was absolutely wonderful! She catered to our pup like the princess she is and treated her like one of her own. She sent frequent updates and kept our minds at ease the entire trip! She catered to my crazy dog mom brain and asked detailed questions about how to keep my baby happy, healthy, and comfortable. I feel like she truly cared about my sweet girl. I am so grateful to have found Olivia and will certainly be relying on her again in the future!”

“Chelsea was wonderful with our pups! Especially having to deal with fireworks over the holiday. She was in constant contact and sent lots of pictures and video to keep my mind at ease while we were away. I would definitely use her again and 100 percent recommend her! Thank you for being so great with our doggies and keeping them safe and happy!”

“Rachel was amazing with our 5 yr old Great Pyr! She came an extra time to re-meet Lily so she would be super comfortable with her, which we greatly appreciated. Rachel showed up on time with all her supplies to stay with Lily throughout the entire time we were gone. She followed Lily's routine and feeding regiment perfectly and put up with Lily's craziness and super snuggling. She shared photos and updated us while she was sitting with Lily and kept to the difficult walking schedule as well (5:00 am - 5:30 am walking!!). Rachel was perfectly organized and treated our house beautifully as well. We do not travel much BUT Rachel is the only one we will ever want to watch our precious Pyr :) Robin, Dan and Lily”

“Olivia was the best. Great communication and i came home to a clean house and a very happy dog!! I will definitely use her again. Highly recommend.”

“Rachel was great and attentive dog sitter! She had incredible patience with my dog who was experiencing separation anxiety. She followed all the instructions and I returned to happy and relaxed dogs.”

“Rae was amazing. She was so wonderful with our dogs and went above and beyond our expectations. She was a great communicator and sent lots of pictures. I would highly recommend Rae to anyone who wants their pet loved and spoiled!”

“Dayanara is an excellent dog and house sitter and kept our dog Loba happy and healthy during our trip. We received daily updates on how Loba was doing and returned to our house to find everything just as we left it. We'd highly recommend Dayanara to others looking for dog/house sitting!”

“Marie went above and beyond to take care of our dogs and our house while we were away. She is extremely thoughtful and handles every aspect of watching our dogs with care. We will definitely be requesting her again in the future!”

“Stella did an AMAZING job with our 2 dogs. She communicated with us everyday and sent pictures of our fur balls. We appreciated anytime she had a question, she reached out to ensure she was caring for our home or Eli and Sherlock the way we wanted. Would highly recommend Stella, and will for sure be using her again. Thank you Stella.”

“They were very responsive and kind. My Dalmatian warmed right up to them and slowly my super old lady did. Received great communication and would use again!!”

“Madeleine was very kind and reliable taking care of my dog Zeke. I was nervous leaving him alone, but she kept me updated and sent me lots of photos. I could tell he liked her, because he looked so happy in the photos!”

“Tamaya was great with our anxious dog! We booked her for 2 weeks overnight at our home while on vacation and she quickly eased our worries about leaving our dog for such a long time due to her separation anxiety. During the stay, she sent plenty of pictures and she kept us updated on any changes. She followed the instructions perfectly and even started watering the plants when I asked a couple days into my trip. We came back to a clean home and a happy dog☺️ We will definitely rebook her in the future!”

“Kayla did an amazing job taking care of our dog, Tikal. She made sure he was fed on his specific schedule, took him on several walks, and spent plenty of quality time with him to ensure he was always comfortable and safe. In addition, she checked in on our cat, Nori, twice, making sure he was fed, cared for, and played with as well. We truly appreciated her attentiveness and care, and we would absolutely book with her again to look after our pets.”

“Madilyn was great! We had an unexpected last minute dash to find a sitter for our two old cats and little anxious dog when our previous sitter backed out. We communicated with a number of folks to try to find someone and were not finding them to be responsible or reliable. Then Maddy saved the day. She was calm and clear and followed through on the items discussed. We knew our house and pets were in good hands and are so thankful for her help. Thanks again, Madilyn!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Paradise Valley
Olivia stayed with my 2.5 month rescue and resident cat during my first trip away from them. She was communicative, and patient, given my dog had trouble going to sleep the first night I was away. I am grateful she stayed with them and definitely recommend her as a sitter!

Giselle went above and beyond while taking care of Porter! He felt comfortable around her which is rare with new people and I received many pictures and updates during the stay which gave me a peace of mind :) will recommend Giselle to anyone looking for a pet caretaker that loves animals! 10/10 🌟
Another successful stay with Will! Our pups were genuinely excited to see Will…so much so, I don’t think they even noticed we left! Will was consistent with his communication, sending photos & videos & went above and beyond to ensure pills were administered on schedule while we were away. We had a trip free of anxiety thanks to Will & his care. We found a gem in a sitter!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Annabelle did a remarkable job caring for my puppy in my home. This was my first time using a pet sitter, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. She took excellent care of my dog, provided great peace of mind, and treated my home with the same level of care and respect. I came home to a happy, well cared for puppy and a home that was just as I left it. I highly recommend Annabelle to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter!

Laury was the best! She took fantastic care of our home and even better care of our dog. She communicated very well, sent regular updates, and made our timid boy happy as could be while we were gone. Her passion for her work and bond with dogs was abundantly clear from the moment we met her. We are looking forward to future bookings with her!

Sonja took wonderful care of Zefí today for a full 10 hours. She sent lots of adorable photo updates throughout the day, which gave me so much peace of mind. What I appreciated most was the balance she created — Zefí stayed engaged, active, calm, and relaxed all at the same time. When I picked her up, she was happy and content, not overstimulated or stressed. It’s clear Sonja really understands dogs and pays attention to their individual needs and energy levels. I would absolutely trust her with Zefí again and highly recommend her.

Andie's first job for us was 15 days housesitting our cat. She did a perfect job and even added fun times for his day. She made sure he ate well and adhered to his dailey schedule. We appreciated coming home to a very well loved kitty and we will have no hesitation at all calling on her again!

Erika was terrific, taking care of my anxious cat over the Christmas holiday, even booking with me at the last minute. She took great care of both my kitty and my home, leaving it in outstanding condition. She sent updates a couple of times a day and I came back to a healthy, happy cat. Because she's a med-tech, I felt comfortable w/ her doling out meds too. Thank you, Erika!

Claire was absolutely fantastic with Fendi. She arrived early, was very pleasant and personable, took Fendi out numerous times, and was aware of Fendi's actions when around loud noise. Claire took lots of pictures of Fendi and was respectful in giving attention to Fendi and not watching TV or doing other things. When we came home early to change clothes for a moment, Claire was sitting right beside Fendi, giving her love. Claire even left Fendi a special treat Bark snack, which truly sets her apart from other sitters. I highly recommend Clarie for the care of your fur loves. Being from out of town, it is a last-minute arrangement. Claire was initially busy and was able to work out a schedule to accommodate caring for Fendi. I really appreciate her taking this assignment just days before needed and especially on New Year's Eve. What a blessing. As usual, a little extra on the side was given as a gesture of appreciation in person.

Kisa has watched our dog Arthur twice, and both experiences have been great! She is always on time, responds quickly, and provides regular updates while we’re away. Arthur is a super high-energy dog and can definitely be a handful, but Kisa handles him wonderfully every time. We always feel completely comfortable leaving Arthur in her care and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.

Matt did a great job taking care of my golden retriever, Max, while I was out of town. He sent regular photos and updates, making me feel at ease leaving my pup alone for the first time. Would absolutely use Matt again and recommend him to anyone looking for a pet sitter.

FAQs for House Sitting - Paradise Valley
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Paradise Valley on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 5,003 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Paradise Valley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Paradise Valley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Paradise Valley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Paradise Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
