“Ashlyn was a great sitter for our two Goldendoodles. She truly showed them the love and attention that we show them and treated them like her own pets. She was communicative, punctual and incredibly helpful in every aspect. She even went the extra mile to pickup some necessities for my girls that they ended up needing. We would definitely recommend her and will be using her again.”

“Ynez provided exceptional care for Zefí and kept me informed throughout the entire stay. She sent frequent updates and lots of wonderful photos, which allowed me to see exactly how Zefí was doing and made it easy to relax while I was away. Every update was thoughtful, detailed, and showed how much attention she was giving to Zefí throughout the day. What impressed me most was how engaged she was with Zefí and how clearly she understood her personality and needs. Zefí looked happy, very comfortable, and completely at ease in every update. Ynez went above and beyond in every aspect of her care, and I would not hesitate to book with her again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who is communicative, attentive, and truly dedicated to the dogs in her care.”

“Aayana was great to work with and the cats/house were well taken care of. She was incredibly flexible when we had inclement weather affect our travel plans and we will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Makenzie was great!!! She was very communicative throughout the 6 days she stayed with both of our dogs and sent daily check in’s with photos. After having a negative experience with another pet sitter, we will be only be using Makenzie moving forward. She was very reassuring and I felt at ease leaving my “babies” in her care!”

“Ashlyn is very responsive and easy to work with. She took great care of our senior dog (who requires medication), young cat and left our home spotless. Communicated quickly and sent pictures.”
“Addyson was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay and sent tons of videos and updates of our dogs and kitty, which gave us so much peace of mind. We felt 100% confident that our pets were getting plenty of love, attention, and excellent care while we were away. She also took great care of our home and followed every instruction to a T. We came home to happy pets and a spotless house. We would absolutely book with Addyson again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring pet sitter!”

“There aren't enough posititve words to describe Shelley. She is amazing. Benson loved every minute with her. She was very communicative and sent lots of pics and movies. She willingly got up at 4:30am for his morning walks before the heat set in. She went above and beyond with the way she left the house so clean. I was really able to enjoy my vacation because I didn't have to worry about Benson. She will be our sitter from now on!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have plenty of hands-on pet sitting experience. I’ve cared for my brother’s two medium-sized dogs as well as my aunt’s and uncle’s dogs, including overnight stays. Since I work from home, I have a flexible schedule and can give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m also very active and go on daily walks—even in the Arizona summer—so your dog will get lots of exercise, fresh air, and love while you’re away. I treat every pet like they’re my own and strive to make them feel safe, happy, and comfortable. I work remotely Monday through Friday, which allows me to provide plenty of attention and care throughout the day. My schedule is flexible, making it easy to accommodate walks, potty breaks, playtime, feedings, and lots of companionship. I finish work in the early afternoon, so my evenings are open for additional walks, exercise, and quality time with your pet. I do attend a fitness class for about an hour most days, but otherwise I’m home and love spending time outdoors, making it easy to keep active dogs happy and engaged. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. As a remote project manager, organization, communication, and reliability are part of my everyday job, and I bring those same qualities to pet care. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions so they feel comfortable and cared for. Whether I’m stopping by for a walk or staying overnight, I’ll provide plenty of attention, exercise, fresh water, and affection. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands.
“Catherine was great with our dog, Honey. She arrived early and Honey warmed up to her after a few minutes. Catherine sent pics while we were out which was nice. We would definitely request her again!”

I’m dependable, always on time, and committed to providing exceptional care with kindness and compassion. Whether your pet needs a fun walk, companionship, medication, special nutritional care, or extra attention because of age or health, you can trust they’ll be treated like family. In addition to my experience with dogs, I’ve also rescued cats and helped raise litters of kittens, giving me confidence caring for cats of all ages as well. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your beloved pet is receiving the highest level of care. I work remotely and have great flexibility with timing. I tailor schedules based on pet needs and pet parent requests. Weekly availability, M-F and also weekends and holidays Pets are honored guests in my home and all safety precautions are followed. Clean water is always available and pets are always supervised. When I visit pets in their homes I am always careful and respectful of their environment. Doors are always confirmed locked when I leave. I keep all the individual needs for each pet in mind.
“This is the second time I have booked Catherine and the first time for house sitting and she did an amazing job. Excellent communication and updates! My dog was extremely happy!”

“Gail stayed with our 2 poodles while we were away. She kept us well informed of their daily activities. I couldn’t be more pleased with how she made us feel at ease as our sitter.”

“If I could give Jake 10 stars, I would. He is so trustworthy and sweet with our quirky old dog. He treats her like a queen and makes sure she gets all medications and plenty of activity. He sends the best updates with photos and even some videos. In addition to taking great care of our dog, he is great with any house issues and makes sure the plants are watered and the mail picked up. Jake is everything you would want in a dog/house sitter and more. We are so grateful that we never have to worry when we are out of town.”

“You will not be disappointed in Rachel. We booked her to house sit and watch our Chihuahua and cat for 11 days while away. Our animals absolutely loved her. She went out of her way to make them happy. She sent pictures and videos of our animals while we were away and answered any questions we had. It was nice to know we had someone that truly cares for animals watching our babies while we were gone. This was the first time we had used a pet sitter so we were nervous. We will definitely be booking her again”

“Rebecca did an amazing job watching our two cats Ellie and Louie. She provided checkins and photos every day which was great assurance for us as we were thousands of miles from home. She also left our house clean and spotless. I'd highly recommend her for anyone looking for pet care.”

“Ashlee was a fantastic sitter over Christmas! She was responsive and took great care of the dogs. But she also left the house in perfect condition. We will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Jena was wonderful with my dogs, both dogs warmed to her easily, which they do not do easily. Jena provided daily updates and pics, took them for walks, which they love! Picked up back yard after dogs..Thank you, and she took the time to clean/wiped down kitchen and living room areas, where the dogs go, so I came home to a clean place..so nice..”

“Sara by far exceeded my expectations during her stay with my dog Hannah. She will definitely be my go-to dog sitter from now on. My dog has some behavior problems (reactive, resource guarder), is on a special diet, and takes multiple medications every day. Sara had no issue with any of this and handled her very well. From the first time she came over to meet Hannah I could tell she was very experienced with reactive dogs and knew how to put Hannah at ease. I absolutely loved how Sara sent me multiple updates and pictures every day, and responded to any messages from me within minutes. And I think my house was cleaner when I got home than when I left. I would highly recommend her!”

Nikki was able to come house sit my 2 needy English bulldogs on short notice. She listened well, took notes and based on my dogs reaction when I got home were very well taken care of while I was away. The house was in better shape than I left it which was above and beyond. Nikki is professional, friendly and communicated well throughout the stay.

My 2 pups just love Shannon and so do I. She takes such good care of them, she sends constant updates and photos and the most adorable report card and makes me feel it is. She takes great care of my house and when I come home it's spotless and my dogs are happy and that makes me very happy.

I cannot say enough good things about Vivien. I have two very large dogs a pitbull and a German Shepherd and they are big babies and she took great care of them and unfortunately I don’t have a yard so she had to walk them every day three times a day and she did a great job. They loved her. She kept me up-to-date with texts, me sent me pictures. She will definitely be called upon again.

Sophia took excellent care of our dog, making sure she was happy, comfortable, and well cared for while we were away. We also came home to a clean, well-maintained house, which gave us great peace of mind. Communication was excellent throughout our trip, with regular updates and photos. It was clear Sophia genuinely cared about both our pet and our home. We would gladly trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional pet and house sitter.

Catherine was amazing! She took such great care of our sweet Coco and she even made a new puppy friend! We are grateful to have had her take care of our pup while we were out of town. She made sure to communicate with us every day and even gave us the cutest photo shoot! She’s also an incredible photographer as well!

If we could give Madeline more stars we would! She exceeded all our expectations. Madeline was a great communicator from the start. She was right on time to meet us and learn the routine. Our senior special needs dog loved her right away. She sent pictures and checked in to let us know how she was doing every day. Madeline left the house clean and even left us a kind and sweet handwritten note. We had total confidence that our dog was safe, happy, and well cared for while we were away. We recommend Madeline with the highest praise.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Victoria cared for our three dogs for six days, and she was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She is loving, responsible and dependable. Throughout our trip, she kept us updated with great pictures, which gave us complete peace of mind. Our dogs were happy, well cared for, and clearly loved while we were away. She followed all of our instructions, and treated our pups as if they were her own. Coming home to three happy, relaxed dogs says everything about the quality of care she provides. Victoria is truly the best dog sitter we have ever had, and we would not hesitate to trust her with our dogs again. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care!

Jemimah was awesome! She sent me photos of Kobe twice a day and it is clear my kitty loved her! I am extremely cautious about who I let stay at my home with my sweet boy! As a former Human Resources leader I can read people well and quickly. I knew immediately once I met Jemimah that I could trust her completely! She’s the best😺.

I am extremely impressed with Melissa. She followed instructions to a tee and went above and beyond to ensure everything was clean and presentable when I returned from my travel. My dog seemed to really like her and as an only pup, I think she really enjoyed the company of her dog, Zippy as well. Highly recommend Melissa and Zippy!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Windsong walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Windsong maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Windsong choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Windsong. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
