“We had a wonderful experience with Jacky! She stayed in our home and took great care of our 2 chihuahuas, keeping them happy & comfortable while we were away. She sent daily pictures and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. I will absolutely be using Jacky in the future!”

“Ginine was amazing. She stayed at our house with our 2 dogs, one being 10 months old. She took great care of the dogs and even cleaned up the house! I would highly recommend her to anyone.”

“Katelyn took excellent care of my two dogs when I had to leave town for a family emergency. She sent me photos during her stay which cheered me up, and reassured me that my older dog with health issues was doing just fine. Both dogs enjoyed her stay and care. I would definitely recommend Katelyn and plan to see if she is available the next time I need to leave town. And an unexpected surprise: she left me a sweet note about the dogs and a beautiful little Orchid plant when I came home.”

“Victoria was awesome! She was so kind and loving, and took the best care of our dog. She sent lots of updates and checked in any time she had a question. We could not recommend her enough!”

“Addyson was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay and sent tons of videos and updates of our dogs and kitty, which gave us so much peace of mind. We felt 100% confident that our pets were getting plenty of love, attention, and excellent care while we were away. She also took great care of our home and followed every instruction to a T. We came home to happy pets and a spotless house. We would absolutely book with Addyson again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring pet sitter!”

About: Hi, I’m Keilah! If you’re looking for a reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented sitter who will keep your pup happy and healthy I’m your girl. I know how important exercise and routines are for your animals, so I make sure to provide walks and playtime. I will strictly follow all of your feeding schedule, medication needs, and house rules to ensure a seamless transition for your pet. Whether your dog is a senior who takes it slow or a puppy who needs constant supervision I’m your person. :) Im a student on summer break so I’m available to play with your pups whenever! I am studying for a big exam, so please be patient as I navigate requests. I prefer to watch your fur babies in your own home to have them in a comfortable environment. I provide long walks, enrichment with dog toys, as well as cuddles and attention.
About: There was always an assortment of pets in the house growing up. We had several pit bulls over the years, an Aussie, and at one point 4 cats alongside him. We’ve even raised a couple of bunnies and pet mice I just couldn’t turn away from! I’ve done lots of basic puppy training and even taught my cat a few tricks. Living in an apartment at one point also entailed LOTS of walks and trips to the dog park. I’m not one to turn away from a lost animal, so I’ve rescued and returned a few pups over the years as well! In addition to my own pets, I’ve house sat and cared for the pets of work clients, helped out with neighbors, and family friends pets too. I have plenty of experience with larger breeds but I love little paws too! I currently work part time while I'm working on my business on the side which is on my own time so I'm very flexible! I love to walk in the mornings and evenings, and my longest shift on Fridays is usually 5 hours. My regular work hours: M: 9:30-1:30 T: none W: 9:30-2 Th: none F: 10-3 S: 8-11 S: none I do not offer boarding at this time, but I will be sure to follow whatever guidelines you may leave according to your pet's personal needs. You know your pet best! :)
About: I had a dog as a kid from the ages 6-18. I was a canine coach at a doggy daycare and worked with dogs of all breeds and sizes. I also maintained a group of 30 dogs at a time. I have no problem cleaning poop or puke or anything like that. I also volunteered at a zoo and worked with the primates. I love every animal I see and I especially love dogs. I will love your baby as much as you do Over the summer starting May 11th 2026 I can do any time any day. I do have a trip planned in July. Once the semester starts I can do check-ins and walks in the early afternoons, and evenings on weekdays and anytime on weekends. I can all house sit on any day of you give me a week notice I care for all animals by reading their body language and respecting it. If a dog or cat does not want to be pet, I’m not going to. If they are playful, I’ll be playful. I will also lay down and cuddle your baby. I always put the dogs safety and anxiety first.

“There aren't enough posititve words to describe Shelley. She is amazing. Benson loved every minute with her. She was very communicative and sent lots of pics and movies. She willingly got up at 4:30am for his morning walks before the heat set in. She went above and beyond with the way she left the house so clean. I was really able to enjoy my vacation because I didn't have to worry about Benson. She will be our sitter from now on!”

“This is the third time Cheylee has watched our girls. She is wonderful and the girls love her too! She’s very communicative and sends pictures daily without being asked. We’ll continue to have her dog/house sit for us and would definitely recommend.”

About: We live in a clean home, in a safe community. We have (1) yellow lab that would like a friend to play with during the day. Doggy door available, feed, clean, and walk the dogs, we do it all. We have a pool at another location that we would be happy to take a dog or two, if they like to swim. I currently work from home and have an endless amount of time to feed and throw toys. We have cameras around the home for added security. I have a fenced yard. Dogs are contained within the property, unless on a leash on a walk or on a car ride. Safety is our biggest concern. I work from home and have plenty of time to throw toys and play with the dogs. There is a doggie door and fenced yard to play in. I have a fenced/walled yard with a doggie door. We do not have a pool or anything dangerous in the yard. Dogs are allowed to come and go as they like, unless we are told different by you. We allow dogs on the furniture and in the beds if they like.
“Ash was amazing with our two boys! We have a cane corso and a frenchie and we were super nervous to have someone new watch our pups and they loved her! She even left little treats, a handwritten note, and two beautiful handmade pictures of our pups! So thoughtful and she’s so professional and kind. Highly recommend!”

“Lyla was fantastic. She was able to check on Blaze a few times during the day and even kept him company at night. She took him for walks which he loves. She even put up with all of his talking! She sent me photos to show how happy he was. I would highly recommend Lyla. If I need a dog sitter again, there is no question that I would use Lyla!”

“Darion was an absolute treasure. She made sure my babies were safe and calm. She went above and beyond caring for my home and my pets. Highly recommend her!”
“Scott was awesome, reliable, professional and great to work with. He was very always responsive and made sure to give me updates twice daily. I hope to work with him again.”

“Linda is great! This was our first time using Linda, she is a great communicator and anticipated all of our needs. Linda stayed at our house for five nights, she is very clean and tidy. I can tell that Izzy my Chihuahua loved her and we will be using her again.”

“Thomas is literally amazing! He is probably the best Rover I've ever had. He is super attentive to the animals and sends daily check-ins with photos and info about the day. My husband and I were scared to leave our furbabied after we haven't left for a year and my husband has been working from home the whole time so they got very spoiled. The animals took to Thomas so quickly and we came back to our house looking immaculate. Book him and you will not regret it!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cave Creek
We couldn’t be happier with the care our dogs received. They were walked exactly according to the schedule — and even got a couple of extra outings, which they absolutely loved. We also appreciated the regular photo updates; it was great seeing our pups happy and relaxed while we were away. The house was left spotless, and Katie even went above and beyond by washing the sheets and towels before leaving. What really stood out, though, was the initiative and care shown when a water leak appeared in our RO faucet. She took the time to call, walk through the issue with me over the phone, and help troubleshoot the clogged drain line. That level of responsibility and effort is rare and incredibly appreciated. Truly outstanding service from start to finish.

Kyli was great. She asked great questions in our meet and greet which made me feel confident having her watch my pup. She kept me updated and was quick to respond when I checked in while I was away. She left my place clean and tidy as well. She took great care of my pup and I came back to a happy and healthy girl!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cave Creek walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cave Creek maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cave Creek choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
