Hi there! I’ve been caring for dogs, cats, and other animals since I was a teenager, and animals have always been a big part of my life. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets with all kinds of personalities, energy levels, routines, and needs. I take a particular interest in understanding breed-specific tendencies and behavior, as well as how a pet’s needs can change throughout different stages of life. I’m mindful that a puppy or adolescent dog may need a very different balance of activity, enrichment, boundaries, and rest than an adult or senior pet. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I enjoy getting to know each animal and learning their individual personality, cues, preferences, and routine. My freelance career in marketing, graphic design, and film also gives me a flexible schedule, so I’m often able to spend plenty of time simply hanging out with the pets in my care. Whether that means playtime, walks, enrichment, cuddling on the couch, or just keeping them company while I work, I want them to feel comfortable and secure while their person is away. Most importantly, I treat every pet with patience and respect and take building trust with both pets and their people seriously.

Safety, trust & environment
I provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes, allowing pets to remain comfortable in their familiar environment and routine. I’m mindful of potential hazards, including food, trash, and personal belongings, and keep anything potentially unsafe out of reach. I carefully follow all feeding, medication, and household instructions and do not bring guests into clients’ homes. During walks and outings, I take a cautious approach to interactions with unfamiliar people and animals, even when a pet is known to be friendly. I generally avoid direct interactions with unfamiliar dogs, children, and other people and keep pets leashed in shared or public spaces. Living in Arizona, I’m also especially mindful of heat, pavement temperatures, and overall conditions when taking pets outdoors. My priority is keeping your pet safe, comfortable, and secure while in my care.

Monique was such a dream! I met her while she was sitting other pups and got to see how she was with them too. She’s very attentive and patient. My pup had a good time with her and she communicated everything so clearly. 10/10 and I can’t wait to have her visit my pup again.
I must of read and looked at so many people then I found Monique it's so hard to find the right person to care for your doggies people say they're just dogs but our girls are more than that to us they are everything thank you for all the love you gave them and taking the best care for them in all the picture s I now they were well taken care and the best care of you are the BEST.....

Schedule
I work primarily from home as a freelancer, which gives me a flexible schedule and availability throughout the week and on weekends. I’m happy to provide overnight care and spend plenty of time with your pets. I do occasionally have meetings, appointments and projects outside the home, so I’m best suited for pets who are comfortable being left alone for up to 5–8 hours when needed. I’m happy to work with your pet’s normal routine and will always discuss their care needs before booking to make sure we’re a good fit.

- Please let me know about any behaviors, sensitivities, medical considerations, or special needs that will help me keep your pet comfortable and safe. This can include areas they don’t like being touched, sensitivity to noises or storms, separation anxiety, leash reactivity, fear or discomfort around certain people, children, or other animals, and any history of resource guarding with food, treats, toys, or other items. Please also let me know about medications and how your pet typically responds to taking them, mobility limitations, incontinence or occasional accidents, and anything else I may need to accommodate during their care. I’d also like to know how they typically play, including whether they tend to be mouthy, nip, jump, or play rough, even if these behaviors are completely normal for them. Please share any escape behaviors or tendencies to bolt, as well as household rules such as whether they’re allowed on furniture or have any off-limit areas. Most importantly, I want to know what makes your pet feel safe and comfortable, what makes them uncomfortable, and how they typically communicate those feelings. The more I know about their personality and routine ahead of time, the better I can care for them while you’re away.
